carl wayzata: Fantastic taxi service, our driver Brahim gave us a great tour of the university of Michigan for my return visit since my graduation in the 70s. The town has changed so much but the friendly and hardworking taxi drivers are still around. They also took us from and to Detroit airport were never late one time, the price we paid was reasonable and we will use Ann Abor Taxi & Airport Cars again.

C. Ryan: Avoid at all costs. Unreliable. Booked online and pick up time was wrong, corrected by email. No show at pick up time. I called and they told me (incorrectly) that I cancelled the reservation (email below). No car coming, forced me to scramble to make my flight. Michael Stengel: Had a confirmed reservation arriving late into DTW. Driver didn’t show up, and didn’t get a call or text even though they had my number. Pulled the same stunt with my friend the following day. Perhaps they’ve decided not to do late pickups, but they confirmed the reservation and did not communicate otherwise so we got left high and dry at 1am at the airport.
Alan Weiss: Do not use this car service! I booked them for an airport ride and they never called to say they were running late. When I called them the dispatcher said the driver should have called me but would be there in ten minutes. Then after ten minutes I had to call the dispatcher again and he told toild me it would be another 15 minutes. Twenty five minutes late for a twenty five minute ride. It was impossible to believe that this was accurate so I made alternative arrangements. The dispatcher assured me they would not bill me for a ride they never provided but there was the charge this morning. I guess that is why the AMEX dispute center has employees. They will not get paid for a ride they never provided. Liars on how late they were running. Liars on not billing my account. Do not use this service if you need a timely ride to the airport!

He was excellent in every way, and the "reasonable" price charged was exactly as stated on the website with no hidden extras. Very good indeed (as was the car).

Shadow Walker: 12 minutes away from their office. Called for a ride. Said it would be $80-$90.00 upfront. I said okay I have cash. Didn't know my current address for I'm not familiar with the area. Was told to find out and call them back. Called them back after getting the address. They don't pickup from business buildings. GoodLuck if you're getting out of work and need a ride. The guy just hung up on me.......Trash service.

First I thought the gentleman was nice as he explained I could simply walk there as it was close. During this time (pandemic) cross border travelling is challenging to say the least. Ann Arbor Cab 🚕 went above and beyond not only transporting our son to the border, across the border and ensuring he made it to the customs area.But they took a personal interest in this fare by also communicating with us (here in Canada) each step of the way. Pam Miller: The hospital called this company to take me home after I had a heart attack. The cab company told the hospital they were on the way.So they wheeled me down to the front door to wait for them.After waiting over a half hour I called the cab company to check when they would be there. The person answering the phone was one of the rudest people I have ever talked to on the phone!I said hello, I was just calling to check on my ride? Without even asking who I was he started yelling at me and telling me if I wanted information to call the hospital. Then he said what do you want? Said I was just checking on my ride, he replied it would be there momentarily then hung up on me.Now I understand it’s possible he was having a bad day, but you don’t treat customers like he did. I have had a business, my parents had businesses. But. Will NEVER USE or recommend them to anyone.The driver was very nice.

The owner was very pleasant when talking with him and gave me excellent customer service. Christopher Chen: Worst possible experience. Booked online. showed up and they said they don't have a car for me and it's the holiday season, so good luck finding another car. they said that this happens all the time. how does a car rental agency allow itself to mismanage its reservations on a consistent basis? And, their attitude was really just unhelpful.
Mo Mohamed: I couldn’t give 0. Area Manager is not responsive to emails. Promises are made and aren’t fulfilled.Executive elite for 15 years, and this is the worst region to rent.
Lee Swanson: Renter beware! I rented an older minivan for 24 hours from the Detroit Airport National location (near here) and then weeks later I received a damage claim for over $2k for very minor damage at different locations on the vehicle. I did not damage the vehicle during the 1-day rental and was not informed of any damage to the vehicle at drop off.I did my best to defend myself and explain the facts to National and it’s claim collection division, but it did not matter. They wouldn’t listen to reason. It was a headache and now I must pay $2k, which means I also must let others know the risks of renting with National. Please beware!
Xumiao Zhang: This is really a bad branch. I gave 1-star because I cannot choose 0. What they did is not consistent with what they said over the phone call, and they claimed that the phone number listed cannot reach them (so what they said over the phone is not valid). Actually the front desk later indicated he was there when another guy answered my phone call.PLEASE never rent a car HERE. Or if you want to have a try and leave the same comment here, please go ahead.National is generally good. For example, DTW National has far more better cars and the staff there is more polite. It is also not very far from AA (20-25min using I94).

Corwin Every: I’m an executive elite member with National and this location is subpar. I’ve rented three vehicles, and they've all reeked of varying degrees of cigarette smoke. The rental location at DTW is worth the exta commute.

jeffrey inge: I normally have no issue with National, I rent from a small local airport and receive great service. This time around I left my sport jacket in the car, called the next day and they could not find it. I know that it is my fault, but a quick call to me or even making an effort to see if I return to get it would be appreciate it. You can not be that busy or hardline holding to the rules of a customer leaving something in a car. Very disappointed in this current experience.
Paul Guttman: The people working the desk at Ann Arbor Airport are fantastic and were very nice to work with on our rental. We had an issue with our car not being on site when we arrived to pick it up and they upgraded us to a luxury SUV which worked well for our travels. Our other issue was the cleanliness of our vehicle. Rather than wash the car prior to giving it to us they sprayed it with water to make it appear clean. We hand wash our personal vehicles and this car hadn't seen a good wash in months. Prior to our trip we cleaned all of the windows inside and topped off the tank (the car was only half full when we got it). The folks at National customer service were also very good when this was reoprted to them and gave us a free day on our next rental
Amy K: The Service provider was amazing! She was so patient and wanted me to get the best deal possible. Really can't say enough good things about her. Unfortunately, the van I got smelled like smoke even though there was a no-smoking sign on the car. They were very very busy, and I didn't have a enough time to try and swap out. It ended up being quite bad and gave me a headache. I tried to call several times to see if I could swap out at a different store, but no answer. Anyway, I would give the service rep 10 stars! The car itself gets 2 stars, so I gave an overall 4.
Razvan Burghiu: It started out ok, but drop off was terrible, and I still don't know how much I will be charged. I went to turn in the car after hours, but the drop box was stuck (apparently full). I called in, made them take a note and kept the key to return the next day which is a drive for me. Then after I called again the next day and returned the key I thought I was fine. But no, I get an email saying I'm getting charged extra because they failed to take into account the key delay, even though they had the car, and probably a spare key, since the key I only had one keyfob. I called in again, and they said they didn't know and they'll fix it. Now, I don't know what is going on. The hold is gone, but god knows what they will charge. Your CS is terrible and unreliable, and doesn't communicate between itself.
sundaresh ram: Had a good experience renting a vehicle from here. The staff are friendly and understanding. The only thing is the availability of choice of cars is limited as they are a small place to rent from and many people rent from here. We wanted a smaller vehicle and all they had was big SUV and this happened twice. Apart from that fact, it was a great experience renting from here.

After waiting over 30 min, the vehicle was given to me smelling of smoke with ash on the dashboard, dirty floors, and what looked to be pet hair on the seats. With COVID going around i expected a cleaner vehicle than normal but did not have time to wait even longer. The oil was also near end of life and the monitor/alert went off continually during my trip. This is the worst rental I've had with National by far.
Kumar Sivan: While the car was alright this location fell short in other ways.Wanted to return the car 'after hours' on a Saturday. Was told that there would be instructions how on the confirmation email from National. There was ZILCH in the email from National.Dropped off the rental car on a Saturday evening after hours. It took until the following Wednesday and 2 reminders before getting a receipt.And I am an Executive Elite member at National.

He is always waiting 15 minutes ahead of time when picking me up from home, and has never been late at the airport (I imagine he often has to wait for a long time as I go through customs etc, but he is always waiting with a smile on his face and never complained one bit). He often gets asked to pick up important scholars or foreign dignitaries who come to give a lecture at our university, and they always comment on how pleasant the ride was with Said.
