Loren P.: I was ghosted by Alpha Metal Finishing and Greg Wood after being a customer for a few years. I received a letter in the mail saying they were discontinuing business with me "after reviewing order history and issues we encountered". Nobody every communicated any part issues with me and I always paid my bill very quickly. Early on I was unhappy with their bolting rack method for black anodizing cosmetically finished parts, because it left behind an unfinished hole containing some sort of white powdery residue. Alpha also recommended acid etching my 6061 aluminum parts as part of the process in order to create a more uniform finished look. The acid basically stripped my finish work off the aluminum parts being ran and created a very flat looking finish that was prone to showing fingerprints and oil smudges in a custom machined cosmetically finished piece. I have attached a couple pictures showing the unfinished bolt holes in an acid etched piece and also a piece that had white streaking in the black anodized finish.
