Ann Arbor Art Center: what do users think?
Kathy Bache: I'm taking some watercolor classes there with some great teachers. Wonderful gallery to stop in and look at some art.
Hockey Mom 7: First, the architecture and age of this building drew me in. Took a photography class and learned so much. the art pieces for sale were beautiful and there’s something for everyone in support of local artists. A great organization in the community! 5 stars!!
sujana ranjit: Opportunities to find new interest and learn more about it.
Munni Khaton: I Love Love Love
E. B. Snodgrass: If you enjoy finding treasures to make your home more beautiful, you have found a place. Art glass, paintings, jewelry, games, and other items you can display or wear. Support local artists also.
Ruth Estabrook: My family and I checked out the A2AC Murals project. This is a great socially distanced activity for anyone interested in art and wanting to get downtown. The murals are each so unique and striking and reflective of the vibrancy of A2. My kids like especially like hunting for each mural and then actually being able to touch the art. Took about an hour to tour all the murals by foot.
Zuza Hill: I enjoy taking all the different classes they offer. There is a great selection to choose from. It is also a very nice place to visit and walk through. When I needed to contact staff with an issue they were very responsive. I definitely recommend.
Trooper Long: So impressed!
Ornwara Tritrakarn: I went there because reviews here seem to praise this art center's gift shop highly. But I found it to be a let down. The shop is rather small, considering it's the town's art center. I didn't find anything interesting and worth buying when I went there.
Lauren Hamerink: One of our gems of Ann Arbor! The Ann Arbor Art Center is a stable downtown with it's beautiful 100 year+ building but is truly a hub for art & community. While I have personally loved the classes, I have enjoyed attending their exhibitions on the 2nd floor and events around town anything from ArtX public exhibitions to Art & Brew and Artini downtown with local restaurants. Thank you for all you do A2 Art Center!
Jen Munford: Just went to a talk at the Westgate branch AADL all about intellectual property and legal issues for artists. It was super informative & much appreciated. Thank you for holding this free event. Keep em coming!
Will Juntunen: The Ann Arbor Art Center helped shape Ann Arbor as much as the university did. I have always counted on the upstairs gallery for a fresh, edgy and relevant show. It makes me miss great spaces lost now, like the Gallerie Jacques or the Gallery Project. Good thing the Penny Stamps project keeps up the level in town. This is a place to go if you want to keep a finger on the pulse of Midwestern art, especially now that Selo Sheval has shuttered.
Nathan Vogt: Lots of cool art here. I came for the millennial pink exhibit which was really pink. The place itself is really cool, worth spending a little time walking around and checking everything out.
Jen Moore: I love Ann Arbor Art Center--the classes and the staff are wonderful. It is a great place to pick up a gift or an art piece. Don't forget to see the artist exhibits too.
Jack McCloskey: Great staff and a well run organization! The art store has some unique pieces that could work great for gifts. The Ann Arbor Art Center is a huge asset for downtown.
Lana Krolikowski: Great pace to find a unique art piece or take a class. Ceramics, jewelery, painting, encaustics and digital art, and super fun one night workshops!
Candyce Curl: beautiful
Alison Brokke: It is free to go in and look at the art. It is a clean gallery. They have a small gift shop to buy items.
Michael Olsen: Great place for works by local artists and a vast selection of high quality classes. Classes tend to be expensive.
Nitta Risquez: The feeling inside of The Art Center is positive and creative. Excellent place to buy art, to see art, and to have a wonderful evening. @Artenitta loves The Ann Arbor Art Center.
K H: it was fun to visit and look around
