There are not enough words or stars to indicate how efficient, professional, kind, entertaining and knowledgable he is. Within three hours he auctioned everything in the center from kilns to vacuum cleaners. The crowd loved him and the staff loved him. His auctioning is fair and his careful attention to detail is awesome. He worked with us with any questions we might have right to the end. His advertising on the front end of the sale was perfect. People came from miles away! He sold EVERYTHING and EVERYONE was happy. I can't imagine an auction going any better than one conducted by David Helmer.

They sold all my antiques dirt cheap and jumped around from table to table only selling a box here or a box there letting people move boxes and take items out to put in other boxes so they were able to buy just one big box of everything they wanted, and ruined my auction they went into my garage and sold old vintage pictures that was NOT for sale they sold all my antique furniture for 10.00, and my table and chairs (marble worth 3,000) I got a whole 5.00 do not use these scammers. They sold boxes of stuff dirt cheap and they bought it and turned around and sold it from there shop for much more. They are liars and scammers and I would NEVER give them one star but had to give them one to post a review. If you want your stuff to sell at top prices NEVER use these auctioneers EVER!!I can gladly provide details of you ever need reassurance. Please please please do NOT use this company, and if you do please don't let them screw you over and take your things. Fire them if they start doing what I listed above. Our auction which had hundreds of boxes only took a whole two hours. Never again. If I could have I would have sued to get all my things back and make them pay for what they did.

Jeff Gardner: Upon referral I called Schmidt's to get an estimate on the value on an antique table. The staff and Chuck the owner were extremely knowledgeable and courteous.

Rocco Siffredi: No way this clock ever worked. Maybe they have new management there but definitely NOT as represented by Shmidts. Oh yeah, 'clock may need adjustment after shipping.' I don't think so! My clock guy's talking about $400 in repairs to this lemon.Buyer beeware.

Daryl Sparks: Schmidt's made me cry. My beloved went online to buy me a beautiful wall clock for our 41st Anniversary. We bid and won the clock I wanted and I was in heaven. We were happy to choose Schmidt's for this special anniversary gift. My husand received a winning notification and an invoice from Schmidt's. Then, the next day, we received an email asking us to 'release' the clock because there was a 'clerking error.' When my hubbie phoned Schmidt's, the owner laughed in my husband's face and said, 'I wouldn't want to be in your shoes to explain to your wife that the clock is gone.' Chuck Schmidt had given our clock to someone else and had the nerve to invoice us for it!!!! I feel this was dishonest and the way that Mr. Schmidt laughed at my husband - I heard the whole phone call - that was really AWFUL!!!!

Russel P: A disreputable SHAM of an auction house. I had won a clock by on-line auction, received a notification that I had won the clock and then an invoice for the amount I had bid. The next day, I received a surprise email request from Schmidt's that I 'release' the item because there was a 'clerking error' during the auction. I sent the owner, Chuck Schmidt, an email DECLINING to release the item because the clock was an anniversary gift for my spouse. However, Schmidt's had already handed over my won clock to another party and the clock was gone. What was the point to asking my PERMISSION to release the clock if it was already given to another party? Something really stinks about this operation and the way clocks are handed off DESPITE the results of the auction. I spoke with Chuck Schmidt personally and he laughed in my face, stating that 'the Auctioneer is always right.' He also laughed saying that he wouldn't want to be in my shoes to explain how I lost the anniversary gift to my sweetheart. When I bid for the clock, I had to electronically sign a form that I promised to pay the bid amount plus Schmidt's buyer's premium of 25% if I was successful in winning the clock. I won the clock but then Schmidt's reneged on selling the clock to me. Schmidt's has ZERO reputation and clearly does NOT stand by the results of its own auction rules.

The staff are super responsive to questions. When there is an issue with the items after the purchase, they are extremely responsive in resolving the issue. This is one of the best auction house in the country that I have dealt with. I would highly recommend this auction house.

Curlie Girlie Hope: Wow, you must not know the same auctioneer Brandy42. Joe rips people off big time. My sister and I had the pleasure of dealing with this crook. We went to the auction hall where they sell the items and what we ran into was nothing but problems. Almost half of my parents estate didn't show up to the auction and the items that did show up to the auction that had sold we didn't get paid for. This company is as crooked as they get. We sat in the audience and did exactly what our friends told us to do. We didn't come out and let him know that we were there. Well we added up everything that sold that night and it came out to $3812.00, after we took out the commission and fees were still had a little over 1800 which I thought was good because there was still a lot more in which we thought would go to a future auction. We left and we watched to see what would be advertised through the next couple of auctions and nothing. So we called Joe and he told us that all of the items sold. We asked what happened to the rest of our parents estate and his excuse was that it sold at past auctions. The stuff that supposedly sold prior were beautiful antique floor lamps, Victorian furniture and records like you wouldn't believe. He told us that we would get paid in 21 business days after the final auction. So I asked him when that would be and he said he wasn't sure. We waited 3 months and nothing. I called him one day and asked him when we would get paid because I wanted to close everything out before end of year so I could have my mom claim in on her taxes the following year. He said that there was one more auction, he said he would have his secretary send out a letter to let me know when this date would happen. The call never came and I still didn't get paid after 2 weeks went by. So I told him I want a breakdown of everything that was sold and he said that would come in a brown envelope. So low and behold 3 days after this I got my check in the mail and I almost fainted. After they took all of their feels and commission, i got a check for $843.62. I called him and asked him what happened and why was the check so small? I told him that my sister and I went to the auction that had some of our items in it and what had sold and what we got our tickets for were different amounts of money. We had a box of old costume jewelry that sold for $52.50 and when we got the ticket for that it said it sold for $27.50. I bought something back for 12.00, I got the yellow ticket at the auction and when I got my copies, that duplicate ticket was not in there. I am so disheartened because he ripped us off and he also ripped off my friend that he picked up from her a week prior to mine. Never ever use this company they are thieves.

Dan Deaton: These people dont like money i bought a couple of lots in oct last year and picked it up and paid for it. It was almost $100. I went to bid on something today and could not. So i called them and they said i bid on a $7.00 lot in December and never picked it up. First of all i dont remember bidding and they said they tried to call me witch is B.S im a trucker and my phone is always on. All this over 7 bucks really. I would have been more then happy to pay it but nope ban me instead. Bad business people.
