Paragon Sight & Sound: what do users think?
Eric Jones: Great high-end audio & video equipment. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. The Equipment sounds fantastic. Check them out whenever you're in the market for an upgrade to your stereo system.
John Robins: Engaged and friendly staff; enjoy their interested and interested in others pursuit of it.
Sagar Rawal: I purchased an audio streaming speaker from Paragon’s website. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I had a question about the product packaging and they answered quickly and were very helpful.Excellent place to pick up your audiophile bling!
Todd: Fantastic open house last night with great displays, food, and conversation. Thanks, and Thank You Amanda
V N: I purchased my Mcintosh MX 121 a couple of years ago. They've always helped me whenever I had questions. I did need service for my Mcintosh they were Swift and proficient taking care of what I needed.
David Anselm: I have been a Paragon Sight and Sound customer for 15 years. The selection of equipment at this store is world-class sonically and wide ranged cost wise. You can assemble a million dollar reference system or a modest starter system. While at the store over the years, I have witnessed young adults buying headphones get patient service and expertise equal to the customer that is working to build their dream system. When I travel, I often visit the hi-end audio stores at the destination. I have never been to a store with better equipment selection or one that has better sounding demo rooms. Speaking of demo rooms, the Paragon reference system is AMAZING! All of the other smaller demo rooms are excellent as well. This store is worthy of getting on an airplane to visit, it is that good and comprehensive. All the great sounding equipment at Paragon would be overwhelming were it not for the wonderful staff. Paragon has service and set-up mastered at a high level. The expert sales and service team which includes Larry, Richard, Matt and others will expertly, patiently and happily guide you along the way with zero sales pressure.I love this store!!
Vladimir Edelman: I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that carries the gear of this caliber in Michigan. Very friendly team of individuals who took the time to show me around and discussed possible upgrade paths for my system.
Greg Ladd: The installation process and tuning of the sound in my stereo room was more thorough and substantive than I had imagined. When Matt's work was complete I was better informed of my stereo, the sound was at its best, and I had complete confidence that my system was performing at its peak.Thank you very much for coming through as advertised. Wilson lives up to its remarkable reputation and Paragon delivered with great product knowledge and service. I had high expectations and they were met.
Matthew Chapman: Paragon is true to its name. We’ve purchased several things from them over the years, including home theater, Savant home integration stuff and 2-channel audio equipment. Larry and everyone else at Paragon are absolute professionals and at each purchase they have worked with us to get exceptional stuff while staying within our budget. Not only are the products that they carry the best in the industry, but the sales and integration teams have the expertise to answer any questions and to get things right. The service they provide after the sale is also spectacular. We recently had a turntable acting up and I contacted the store on a Friday afternoon about it. Less than a day later (on a Saturday no less) they came to the house and diagnosed the problem, took the tonearm with a loose connection, and replaced it with a new arm, all under warranty and at no cost to us. That is great service!
Hannah Hodroj: Owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
G G: I really enjoy shopping at locally owned businesses. The entire staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I truly enjoy all of the items I have purchased at Paragon.
friction gg: Pleasant
Grady Rorie: I went into the store on two separate occasions over the past year with specific wants in mind. The first occasion was for a phono preamp for my system. I was shown some examples and unfortunately none were in stock and I decided to go buy a unit from a different store which had them in stock. I went back to Paragon about 6 months later because my receiver was having issues and I wanted to replace it. I spoke to the sales person who was knowledgeable about the equipment but didn't want to in my opinion work with someone who wasn't in the market for a super high end piece of equipment. I told him my price range was about $2,000 and he mentioned that they just received some receivers in the price range for some of their customer installations. I mentioned if you have any unsold that meet my price range and wants I would be glad to buy one right now. Instead I was told that he didn't have any on display and he would give me some literature on the in stock receivers. Mind you I was in need at that moment and ready to buy. Needless to say I guess my small purchase was not a priority to the sales person and I left feeling slighted. I went to a competitor and bought the same brand and a model with more features the same day. My impression from my interaction is if it's not a high end customer install or deep pocket customer then the midrange audiophiles are not important. I will gladly spend my hard earned dollars where I am not rushed out or given literature to get back to their real customers again. I will never patronage their store for my audio needs again.
Raymond Green: Very helpful staff. Lots of great sounding hi-end audio (mostly 2 channel but also home theater). Definitely worth checking out and hearing what you’ve been missing out on all these years
Jungwoo Han: Mr.Richard was so friendly and we took more than enogh time to choose which headphone to buy. Though we were there to try and buy a headphone, he let us to try other speaker demo also and we had a great time with Wilson Alexandria speakers and Dan D'agostino amplifiers with dCS source gears. What a great experience!!
Jeff Laethem: Chris Barry is top notch. Highly recommended.
Mark Kohlhofer: They have the best high end audio
Rick Trammell: Set up an appointment, guy shows up, and suggests I put my surround sound in myself. Mentioned how small the room is and promised a quote and never gave it to me.Unless you have big bucks to spend stay away.
Randy Nissen: Top notch. Consummate professionals. Integrity all the way. Highly recommended.
Seth Greenberg: I worked with Richard to find the best turntable for my needs. Went with the Pro-Ject Debut, he got it overnight shipped to me in great shape and the whole experience was great!
Roger Y: They helped on ordering my service request to modify and re-calibrate my speaker cable. Originally I was talking to the manufacture directly and need Paragon's help for all the logistics. Amanda from Paragon called within 10 minutes after the manufacture reached out for my request. Laid out a detail logistics and expectation on the request and the manufacture get my order right away. Truly state of art service. And they work with anyone not just limited to certain region. Truly state of art service! Highly recommended!

Daniel Kozlowski: Great quality work, incredibly skilled person. Quick turnaround as well. Brought in A JBL speaker that went dead on me. He diagnosed and repaired it perfectly.
mafopinion1: My AV Receiver was damaged following an electrical strike in our backyard. I called Ben and he was very honest and straightforward about the likely issues and the potential issues with repair. Ultimately Ben diagnosed the issue and based on the cost of the part he was extremely candid about whether it was better to repair or replace. Today, it's hard to find someone as honest and reliable as Ben. I highly recommend anyone give him a call when they have electronic devices that need repair.
Robert Huffman: Ben at Thin Air Audio was a pleasure to work with. He was professional, responsive and did an excellent job repairing my studio monitors. The cost of the repair was less than the price I was quoted. He replaced the defective parts with higher quality components. I am very meticulous with regards to keeping my gear in pristine shape. Ben returned my speakers to me the same way they were dropped off, there was no sign they had been worked on. I highly recommend Thin Air Audio for all your audio repair needs.

James's Speaker Works - Repair and Reconing: what do users think?
Mr. Moore: Few years back, I had James repair my Wharfedale 8.4 Diamonds and Fried A3A speakers. Best money I've spent!
Aaron Bell: Contacted James about some Acoustic Research AR3a’s that were my fathers. Having no clue on where to start, James walked me through some steps and after a few emails sending him pics he helped determine that I needed a re-foam of my subwoofers. He quoted me a price that was fair and we met up where he further determined that I needed a re-cone on one of them as well. After around 2 weeks I got my speakers back and installed them back in their cabinets - they sound great! James was very responsive and very fair in pricing and got them back to me under the time he quoted - if you need your speakers done, James is your guy! Called several other vintage speaker repair shops in the area and James had the best reviews and was super responsive in an age where sometimes you call and don’t even get a call back! Thanks James!
Dan Kritzer Sr: James Speaker Works service is top rated for original vintage guitar amplifiers. Very affordable. Nice to meet another musician who learned this craft. Cheaper than vintage Fender 10". Called the right guy.
William Gallagher: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueIf you are reading this review, you have successfully found the right person to solve and repair all your speaker problems .Congratulations! James totally hooked up my 15" Cerwin Vega woofers, as well as my 6" Advent Lauriate woofers, with new surrounds. Life is good. Thanks again James!
Jim Weeda: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueJames repaired my vintage Klipsch K-33-E driver with great results. Sounds superb and looks brand new. The job was completed on time with the price quoted. Great job.
Nitin Kulkarni: I needed to re-foam my old Infinity Studio Monitor 120 woofers. James re-foamed them at a very reasonable price. I just put the repaired woofers back on the speaker cabinet and they perform as good as new. Very good job and a good price. I would definitely recommend James to others who needed to repair their old worn out speakers. Thanks James.
Joseph Bauer: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueGreat service, quality work at a reasonable price. My speakers sound like new!
Karl: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValuePerformed quality refoam of JBL 4301B drivers at fair price. Speakers sound great. Excellent communication and prompt shipping when completed. Will use again for future audio needs.

Todd Kalakay: James did a great job on my speakers. They sound awesome again. Would highly recommend him - Todd K
Amira Fawzy: James did excellent repairs on 2 of my amps. One of which is a very rare and valuable Marshall Randy Rhoads Signature Series. He was very reasonably priced, kept in constant communication regarding costs, status of the repairs, getting approval for any parts, answering questions. Both amps sound great after being neglected for quite some time. I STRONGLY recommend him for your gear in need of some love.-Mike Schneider
