Emran Rafique: Great service. I had them replace my awning cover. They did an excellent job. Years later they came out and fix a damage caused by wind for no extra charge. Steve was great and solved my problem within 1 day of calling them. Highly recommend them.

FRED: Better deal than through Costco. This is a multi generation local family business that specializes in shades and awning. Since they build and assemble these awnings locally, we were able to get our quality awning installed prior to Memorial Day, four weeks earlier than from national company, and at a better price than we could get through Costco. They carry every option imaginable, and give you the honest pros and cons of these options, like the fact that the Protective Aluminum Hoods are ideal for bats (there were six cases of rabies infected bats in Washtenaw County in 2018).
pat wells: We looked at a variety of awning suppliers, including online. We went to Arbor Shade thinking we should look at local suppliers. We were convinced immediately. They were knowledgeable and responsive and priced competitively. The awning was made on site to our specs, and installed quickly. We couldn't be happier.

Andy J: Delux Drapery and Shade has earned the distinction as my favorite business in town. This group goes way above and beyond in their delivery of quality products and services. Last time I visited, I couldn’t find a solution to the light streaming through my large windows in the bedroom at night. One business offered to sell me heavy drapes that would block our scenic back yard view ($4,000) and I said “no thanks”. Delux ( Linda and Steve) suggested PERFECT black out shades at less than half the cost and they fully retract during the day. That was last time…….This time we had a couple of damaged wooden blinds. One upstairs and one downstairs. The place they were purchased is out of business. These shades are on every window in our house so we are not keen on a full replacement for three slats. 🎶🎶🎶🎶. Delux Drapery to the rescue!!!! Who else?? I’ll tell you… no one else…. They repaired the blinds and the expense was too small to post. Lulu helped us. No more broken blinds. Perfect repair. Thousands of $$ not spent. Enduring Gratitude earned!!I highly recommend that you rely on this local business for your blinds, drapery and other related needs!!!

At the store, they were extremely helpful in helping us pick shade styles, colors, as well as getting us scheduled to have our windows measured. Siga came out to measure the windows, as well as give us advice on styles of window covering. We weren't sure which style would work best for our bathroom, and she suggested a style I hadn't even thought of and we absolutely love how it looks installed. The installation was done quickly and efficiently, and we love how our shades turned out!

The professional who installed our shades was excellent, one shade had a dot on it, he took a picture and then a new shade was installed a few weeks later. Jose Sanchez: Menards have a racist policy not to rent anything to people with a Detroit address. After spending $1000 in lumber, the manager decided not to rent a vehicle to transport it due to the Detroit zip code on my driving license. The vehicle was only for moving the material within Ann Arbor, 5 minutes away from Menards. This is clearly a racist policy to keep contractors from Detroit doing work in the region. Pathetic. Never bringing my business here again.

William Laubscher: Worst experience I have ever had with a building materials supplier. They provided misinformation and improper advice. Their staff was rude, insulting and completely lack any knowledge needed to provide you with quality advice and service. Told me my building materials were correct, then come to find out 4 months later what they sold me would not work. Forcing me to buy additional (correct) materials. Also, the trusses they provided had termite damage which they refuse to cover. Their craftsmanship of their trusses is so poor the truss plates don't even connect to the truss tie-ins (see pictures)At this time they said I could return any unused materials. However, when I went to return the $2,100+ of product they said I was only allowed to receive store credit. Now I have to eat the $2,100+ and have no way to recoup the money.GO ANYWHERE ELSE. LITERALLY ANY OTHER COMPANY THAN THIS ONE. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR ADVISE AND WILL COST YOU THOUSANDS IN EXTRA MONEY TRYING TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES.

Greg Leonard: Staff in garden center were helpful
Jorge Luis Barreda Esparza: It is the same than all the lowes, but they need more staff. The store is clean, but good luck finding staff to help you do anything (e.g., copying a key, getting some wire, etc). If they are going to be more expensive than HD, I would at least expect them to have better service.
SS G: Good local store. Nice people! People at their customer service desk and even the Pros in various departments are easy to find and pleasant to talk to. They show that they want to help you. This store deserves a lot of my business!

Menards went out of their way to make sure we had information on how to design online or get additional help if needed.

Klubeck: Lately, watching television has been depressing and the weather isn’t sure if it’s Winter or Spring; an absolute bright spot to stop in and shop would be the Lowe’s in Ann Arbor (Jackson Rd).We had the most wonderful experience with three of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet.The check out lines were quite long and Angela walked over (from her break) and directed us to her line. She was delightful, conversational and a treat to deal with.Suddenly the Store Manager (Catherine) and Ross (The Southeastern Lowe’s District Manager) walked over and joined in our discussion.Angela, Catherine and Ross were fascinating to stand there and talk with. Engaging, interesting and gracious, they all made us feel welcomed and real part of the Lowe’s family.They truly represent Lowe’s well and we will continue to shop there because of the people at that store.Thank you,David and Renee

marianne Sachs: I hired Loew's for for kitchen countertops. They installers they used were incompetent and did not install the backdrop, though I had payed for it. I called Loew's and said I wanted the job finished immediately. It took them 3 days send the installers back to finish the backdrop.

Maureen McCarthy: We absolutely love our new awning from Marygrove. The service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. My only complaint is the remote control holder. I wish it was better quality. My husband tried to hang it on the wall but it would not line up right. He ended up having to velcro it to the wall. Also, the magnet is so weak it kept falling off so the velcro helped with that as well. The awning looks so beautiful and it is made very well. We are very happy with it.

What made me choose this company was the beginning price, without asking for discounts, same measurement as other companies, included more accessories than other companies and was cheaper or close to the same. Installation was on time and as scheduled and as ordered.It actually looks bigger than i thought and works out perfectly in my backyard, the led lights are a plus! It will be great for the future to try to have a phone app for the remote.Will update on the upcoming months to see how it goes.

We were impressed by the knowledge and expertise of the salesman. He was on time, polite and honest. This combination of attributes made the sale for us!Then we got to choose the day for installation. True to their word they called in the morning with a 2 hour window. Later that day they called to say they were on their way and what time to expect them. The 2 young men who installed our awning were on time, polite, efficient, knowledgeable and answered questions. We would recommend Marygrove Awnings without hesitation to friends and family.
