We ended up staying for over an hour, beautiful selection of summer dresses and rompers for little girls, I also found a pair of crocs (which I usually avoid) for my 5 year old that are very cute.

Mark Rumschik: We bought some tap shoes yesterday. They did not have a tag on them. Immediately upon leaving the store we realized they were already broken. We tried returning them and they would not accept the return because it did not have a tag. We had the receipt and we were just there. Do not trust them and I would recommend shopping elsewhere!

Nina Merriman: Definitely a good place to by my kid clothes, but I brought in $300+ worth of toys to sell and they gave me $21. And they didn’t tell me that if I didn’t come back the same day that it was final - I couldn’t reject it and take my toys back.

Heather N.: I'm really grateful for this store. It has the biggest selection of maternity clothes I've been able to find in the area. I've been here 3 times now and had a good experience each time. The store is clean, well organized, and HUGE! Everything is clearly priced, which I really appreciate... although some of the prices are on the high side for used, particularly bassinets, pack and plays, etc. The employees I've interacted with have all been pleasant and very helpful. I haven't sold anything them so can't comment on that aspect.

Rebecca Waite: This used to be a good store. I had a lot of hope for the new owners but the store has taken a very overpriced turn for the worse. The employees are also pretty rude you can hear them talking about one another and shoppers. They are now charging for card transactions even though they way over price clothes. Garanimal onesies are marked at 9.50...they are 3.50 at Walmart brand new. They do the same with the target brand clothes. They also had a lot of stained clothes marked at 10.00. I use to go in and drop a ton of money with 3 kids that are constantly going up clothes sizes but I will be taking my business to the canton store now where they are kind and priced correctly for USED clothes. I would HIGHLY suggest they look up the price of the brands they are selling and take them down to a used price.

Carla Michelle: Very well put together store, very clean and organized with plenty of selection. I've had good experiences every time I've gone there. The staff was very cheerful and helpful. I thought it was well worth the trip. I did notice they had to make a couple rules to stop some customers from letting their children run around unsupervised or making unnecessary messes of the toys/clothes, which makes perfect sense to me and is common courtesy. They just want everyone to have a clean and safe experience.

Dounia Saadi: The store manager is an awful person. She is so rude. This place is unfriendly and you may have one of your worst shopping experiences. I was there for a sale event and found a good Adidas sweatshirt for $1 but the lady at the register refused to scan it for $1 and called the rude manager to inform me that it was a jacket and winter apparel is not included in the sale but it was clearly not a winter apparel it was a light sweatshirt and because I could buy something similar the day before and the sale included it. (Apparently, they just keep changing their policies!!!!). I got mad and refused to buy anything and left the store. I called later to talk about it with the manager who was super rude and hung up the phone while I was still talking and refused to hear me!!! I will never go there again. The customer service is so bad and the customer is always wrong, they don't even try to make the customer feel satisfied after such disputes. I highly recommend going to TJ Max or Marshalls, people there are so friendly, their policies are fair to everyone, clothes are brand new and you never leave unsatisfied!!!!

S S: So...I tried Once Upon A Child in Jackson years ago...absolutely will never sell there again. I tried today, the one in Ann Arbor as several told me it was better. It's definitely twice the size of Jackson. I spent my time, sorting name brand, good condition (mostly new with and with out tags). We drove out, had called ahead, told a half hour by the lady checking us in, then another lady came and stuck her nose in and was kinda snooty. We waited in store...30 mins...45...an hour...an hour and a half later...they take 33 items out of 2 totes. I haven't looked yet...but...pretty certain the only things they took were the new with tags only. She was pretty unfriendly when I said, I called ahead specifically so my time was not wasted...yet...wasted...Just figured...that I got 2 bucks per item...all brand new. NEVER...WILL I EVER...SELL AT ONCE UPON A CHILD....ANYWHERE. I get it...it's out of our house...but if I was gonna sell for $2 per new pair of name brand jeans or sperry shoes...I'd of donated to our church store instead of a chain store. I'll also add, they demand you "neatly fold", yet, they just chuck it back in your tote. They even threw garbage in my totes...seriously...

And the rule that the will only accept items for you to sell if it’s in a reusable bag is stupid. My items were organized in two boxes and they wouldn’t except them. I won’t be shopping here anymore

We live in Chicago and I was searching all over for a certain Easter basket for our child, and I found it on their website. Their website gave a text messaging number to contact so I decided to text it, not knowing if/when I would hear from someone since I don’t know anything about this shop and didn’t know what to expect. I was so pleasantly surprised when I heard back from someone named Alicia on text within THREE minutes!She confirmed the item I was looking for was in stock. The website gave two size options, but didn’t give a place to choose, so I asked her about the size we needed and she confirmed they had it.I placed an order on the website and they had the package shipped out in the mail right away the next day. It arrived very quickly in Chicago and it’s the correct basket in the correct size!I was blown away by the communication and Customer Service, as well as the accuracy with everything. Highly recommended, even if you are not local to their shop. The online ordering and texting for assistance was a great experience.Thank you so much for giving that personalized attention and detail that so many other places seem to lack nowadays.I’ll definitely check their website in the future for special occasions and order again!

It's a children's store and I love how it's set up.

It's so easy to shop there for presents (kid birthday/holiday, baby showers, etc) because they have already done all the research to ensure every item is vetted and of the highest quality. Their pricing is very competitive for what you get, and the customer service is unparalleled. The employees are EXPERT on everything...Car seats, strollers, shoes, and so on. They are also honest--more than once they have referred me elsewhere if what I was looking for (ex, a specific function in a baby wrap) was better met by a product not sold in their store. Just an all around gem!

Robin Webster: I had a stressful visit attempting to return/exchange items for store credit as no longer fit. Tags intact. I assumed that I had purchased them online months prior. After fervently checking my emails for the receipt since scanning tags didn’t show them in the system I concluded that I must have purchased them from Target (which was my next stop as there were other items definitely Target-based in my car. I thanked them for their assistance. As I was leaving the store I overheard them speaking under their breath and snickering at one another. I used self control that I normally don’t have in order to not lecture them both on their lack of maturity and professionalism. At this point I would rather drive an hour to Howell before walking back in this store. I am contacting corporate. They need to learn how to “adult”. At least wait until I exit the store before making fun of me. Rude
