Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center: what do users think?
S.U. Global Transport: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityPositive community-oriented establishment.
William Hu: Nice place to go and work out at
Bradley Johnson: I recently enrolled my five-year-old son in the swim school at Meri Lou Murray Rec Center and I must say, it has been an absolutely fantastic experience. The facility is top-notch, with a clean and modern pool area that provides a safe and comfortable environment for the children. The staff at the center are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience enjoyable for both my son and myself. But what really sets this swim school apart is the incredible teaching talent of EJ. He is an amazing instructor who truly has a gift for connecting with children and making them feel comfortable in the water. My son has taken to him immediately and has made tremendous progress in just a few short weeks. EJ's passion for swimming and his dedication to helping each child reach their full potential is truly inspiring.
Rohit Karthaa: Very big and spacious recreational center with so many things to do. There’s a large park behind it with additional recreational trails for walking or jogging and fitness stations. It’s a great place for affordable fitness enthusiasts. The location is also perfect for many living in central areas of the town.
Tony Markel: It's a community rec center. Good place to come and get a workout in relative peace.
My Pen: Equipments are outdated and everywhere, hall, gym floor. Can't play pickleball or badminton bc there are soooo many ppl. Other young sports have inconvenient gym time. It's truly a senior citizen facility. It wasn't this way 20 yrs ago.
Jason DeBord: MLM Rec Center is affordable, clean as a whistle and everyone has been ultra mellow. You see all ages here; during the day, it's largely the 65+ crowd and more families in the evenings. That's part of what I dig about it. Wonderful courts that have basketball, pickleball, badminton and volleyball all year. I don't swim, but there is a lovely-looking pool area.Minor gripes: The facility could certainly be a little larger; the indoor track only has two lanes and as another review mentioned, there's no place really suitable for stretching other than the hallways. Vending machines have been out of order for months and water fountains are only for refilling bottles, so be sure to bring one.
Mister Mayberry: Nice people there. Beautiful place to get in shape… if you’re over 50 and look a certain way. Didn’t feel welcomed, won’t be going back ever and they’re probably happy about that
Merci Hiroe: Nice gym.but I hope them open another side of gym for badminton when no body is working out. and the floor is a little bit slippery in this winter. need wax.
Omar Shaikh: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,QualityDon’t listen to the receptionists, they lie. They told me the batmington is open now. After I paid, I checked it was full. There goes my 19 dollar. Then the receptionist accused us of lying.
Lisa Chie: Love water aerobics..
nina suzette: Cleanest gym you will ever see. Fantastic spot for silver sneakers crowd to remain active on weekday mornings. Pick a physical trainer early though as they are slow to respond or no longer taking clients.
Gabriel Dontu: Really badly managed. There is no logic in the way they schedule the activities, they are convinced that the first priority of the schedule is the staff's convenience. That is what happens when there is no accountability and competition. They couldn't care less.
John Lipham: Very clean, good covid procedures, professional employees
Tiffany Marra: The staff has been great since they reopened. covid protocols very clear and followed. it has been great being able to go back to the gym.
Jane: Beautiful facility, cleanliness, helpful attentive staff
Tuwan Jones: Great training facility.
Conrad: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Joe Miriani: There are a wide variety of exercise activities to enjoy at the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center!
Sandy Eyl: I joined a week ago and still have not been able to get a lane in the pool.
Olli Lamminen: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality

SPARC Arena: what do users think?
Abhishek Pathri: After multiple attempts to cancel membership by filling out the online form (multiple times) and the front desk leaving notes to "Amy".. I have not heard from her or any of the management team even after two months of following up. I do not give one star rating unless someone tried very hard not to do things right. Some of my friends had similar experience with the cancellation process. Very inconvenient.
srihari santhanam: They wont open on time on sunday. This pic is on sunday 05/14 at 7:30 all waiting outside since the place is not openWould appreciate more if additional courts are provided consistently on weekdays. The wait time is getting longer. Love the place but wait time is killer!! ( note didnt find addl courts on 11/10 thursday)
Sneha Ramesh: Loved the vibe. They have good facilities for table tennis, badminton, volleyball, cricket and Zumba. Make sure you book the courts/lanes in advance as it is always filled up with people.
M SN: 4/27/2023 - Still overcrowded. HORRIBLE!! NOT MUCH IMPROVEMENT. Limit the stay to 2/ 3 hours Mon- Thu evenings. Have signout procedure and charge $1 per min for overstay.Over over crowded on Tue, Thu and Fridays!!! Out of 9 courts 1 is occupied for training until 9pm. There are atleast 12 people waiting for 1 court. Owners are greedy and set stupid rotation rules. People jump courts and there is an argument every single day. Honestly thinking of canceling the membership. Any investors out there...you see the demand, open up a similar place and I am sure you can break this monopoly. And there is Telegu speaking discrimination as well!! Rules are changed to suit the situation. And on top of all the chaos, there are Pros who are a group of probably 16 or 20, who play for 4 - 6 hours, without letting any outsider join in, and keep two courts for their own group until facilty closes. So 6 courts left, out of which 3 on the side have families and kids all the time. Finally 3 left for the struggling 50 people who all paid the $50 and equally deserve their turn to play. Perfect receipe for arguments and fights!!!!!Another issue - some people go by "Indian towel on seat" reservation system. Say there are 4 in a team, each of them wait in one court and when one of the 4 courts is available, all 4 get together and play - they give the reason that other 3 were using restroom - this one is Andhra special!!! No rules unless you argue and stand your ground - what a mess!!!When you bring up this with owners, they say $50 is cheap and they took away Wednesdays and shortened the hours to 10:30pm..what a way to mitigate the issues!!Don't believe the 5 star reviews, that is either from one of " one-off" visitors or the owners and friends themselves. I hope management looks at this review and make necessary changes.I wish this business stays longer by making appropriate changes so everyone can play peacefully and at the same time owners are profitable!!!! Until that point.....one star rating is excessive imho!12/24 Update: Thanks for ur response and changes. Looking forward to the new year. Hope it makes things better.
Nikunj Mundhra: Poor management.Long wait times.Accepting applications but while cancelling or freezing they take more than a month. My friend was able to freeze for two weeks but now to me they said it had to be a multiple of 30 days and that’s the reason they did not freeze my membership and neither even informed me about this. Charging me since a month even after 2 emails and 1 visit.
Nithya Thomas: Great place for all sports activities! They have badminton, volleyball, table tennis and many more.
Manu A: Brand new quality indoor courts in town with well illuminated, professional management, great ambience to get motivated and energized. Very convenient facility for tournaments.
Bbox: I have been looking for a place to play badminton and checked this spot out recently. The drop in fee is reasonable at 10 dollars and there are 10 nets so no one's waiting too long to play. Coming here in the evening when there's less people is great and I've had a blast using the facility.
Syed Kashif Zahid: The facility is good and well maintained. However, the charger service is really bad. I have been overcharged multiple times and still have pending refunds for 2 bookings when it was closed during power shut down week. I have sent several emails and notes at the front desk but haven't received any response yet. It's been over a month by now. I'm still ok to use to facility but without customer service you'll lose customers pretty soon. Disappointed!!! 😔
Josh Gutowski: Went Thursday night with a group of work friends to play at the open volleyball and it was everything but open. Paid $6 just to get barked at by a large group of players who refused to rotate off the courts for other teams. The place has four courts, two of which were actually available for the open volleyball. Two courts for 100+ people with no system in place of organization. Nobody abided by the rules that are laid out on the website. We left after getting denied access to the court multiple times by the aforementioned group. What a shame, an otherwise great night ruined by selfish people who wouldn't relent and a business that refused to do anything about it. Could not see myself paying for a membership at this place when my $6 day pass only got me as far as the sideline.Update 3/22: I assure you that the other two volleyball courts were closed but not because of leaks. It looked like there were organized groups practicing for leagues or member exclusive, but they definitely were not closed off for leaks. People were definitely using them just not players there for open volleyball. Let me just say that if those two courts were actually open, there would be less 1-star reviews on here. I do appreciate ownership responding to this review though.
Mahmoud Assaad: Nice place with diverse activities.Went there for table tennis and was not disappointed.
Sandhya Lakamsani: SPARC is our second home!!!
Merci Hiroe: It has nice badminton courts whose floor is not slippery.but often too many players to play especially Thursday and Tuesday. The otherside should be open for badminton if Valleyball is not played. I had to wait for my turn for long time than i am playing.I am starting rethinking if it really worth 550$/year for this long waiting time, waiting for effective countermeasure against this situation. The other request, fix leakage of Badminton court No.1.Water drop regularly from ceiling and it would cause injury by slipping some day. this has been being left for a while.
Jonathan Nafso: Horrendous management, no organization, and embarrassing operation from A-Z. Their “open gym” policy causes complete chaos and confusion. They’ll gladly take your money and make you wait 30 minutes - 1 hour for a court. Additionally, they don’t maintain their courts, as there are multiple leakages on a given day. They also show favoritism towards their own friends / family members, as they allow them to take up the courts for countless hours. Save your time, money, and sanity and go anywhere else.
JL: The manager Amy is a real Karen and always has this terrible attitude towards members. Email responses are slow and she’s never there when we call the facility so don’t expect to be able to get any issues resolved in reasonable timeframe. Court management is unclear and conflict often arises and she doesn’t want to do anything about it. My suggestion is to have her replaced to begin with.
Limin Luo: Open for badminton, volleyball, table tennis on daily basis with excellent flooring and good quality condition. More expensive than the other places in the area if you don't play more than a couple of times a week
Amith Nagraj: I would rate this place 1 star not because the place is bad for playing. Everyone pays for membership and there are a lot of people around to play and it's understandable that we will have to rotate every 20 mins which is great because everyone gets a chance to play. Out of nowhere he came and said the third court is his (even though he has only 2 courts reserved) and kicked the people out in the middle of the game. I went to the reception and checked and they said that they have 2 courts blocked. However ours was the third one. Then the coach mentioned that they missed the class last week since sparc was closed for a day last week because of weather and he wanted to make up the class. If he missed the class that's his problem and he should make it up by staying here for extra time instead of grabbing third court. Then the reception girls said that it's an adjustment between owner and coach. Hey come on we are all paying money to come and play. We couldn't even play when the facility was closed. Is he going to refund the money for the day where we weren't able to play or give us a free extra court on Wednesday to make it up for us ? This wasn't a rule they have defined in the terms and it's the responsibility of the management to take care of this. I will rate it 5 stars if the owner addresses this by giving us an extra free Wednesday for what we missed and also make it clear to this indecent coach that he can't take the 3rd one unless it's free.
alaparthy narendra: Good place for Badminton cricket and volleyball
Melvin Pulianthuruthil: It's a great space to play bunch of different indoor sports. They have badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, cricket, etc. The fee to play for a day and/or monthly membership seem reasonably priced. Facility is amazing. Everything is very clean and well lit. Bathrooms and lockers too. Parking is also available. Definitely recommend coming here.
Harshal Naik: Nice place. Good infrastructure. Need more space for cricket nets. Also height of cricket nets should be raised for better leg spin bowling.
Jason Lee Richert: Have only been here once to drop a child off for classSeemed very chaoticLots of kids arriving very late & just walk on whereverIt took a lil bit but my child said she was evaluated and put into the proper group to help her learn morePlace seems in great shape & is newMany different sports happening

Ian Moss: This is place is amazing. You don’t have to worry about wind, rain or nasty weather outside. Ownership does a great job of running the facility and keeps everything organized. You got some of your favorite pros in town from time to time teaching the game of pickleball to all players at all levels.Doing there unprecedented time everyone should be thankful they have a place to play and can go there knowing they will be safe and taken care of.
KaSandra Marie Pickleball- Empowher: Absolutely loved this place. I am a top 15 professional pickleball player, and I stopped by Wolverine to do some lessons and clinics. I have seen a lot of facilities all over the country, and this is by far one of my favorites. These two ladies run so many events for the pickleball community, such as, leagues, round robins, mixers, clinics, and private lessons. If you are in the area and have access to this facility, sign up for a membership and you won't regret it. I can't wait to come back next year and visit again!!!KaSandra Gehrke- Pro Pickleball Player
