The Upkeep Games - Ann Arbor: what do users think?
setto s: Nice layout
Mike Howell: Great selection of games and extremely helpful staff. Their events calendar has lots to offer and ample participation.
Tedobeledo: Best flgs around
Jeff Mallory: They didn’t have what I was looking for which is understandable as it is a new product with limited availability. However, I was able to get a good deal on another item I had been looking for. I have attended events here before and I’m happy to have them serving this niche community.
Estin Cantrell: Love this store has a lot of cards and games.
Jeff Myrom: Impressive game store. Lots of tables to play at, a wide variety of games, and clean.
Erin M Stratton: Huge store! Helpful, friendly staff. This place was a cool place to stop! Love it!
Michael Cornaire: Favorite local game shop
Matthew Stewart-Fulton: Friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent variety of merchandise. Lots of space indoors, conveniently located with lots of parking. Easy access from Maple and Stadium.Very recent reorganization of space in the store looks promising for improved game play!
Yen Azzaro: The Upkeep Games is not only a fun business but it offers a valuable community space for kids and adults to meet. We're always greeted with a friendly welcome and lots of free knowledge for our son who is obsessed with trading Pokemon cards. There's never a hard sell and the staff is infinitely patient with questions about even the tiniest details. You can really see that everyone is passionate about sharing and ensuring that people have fun. I can't say enough wonderful things about this business and the variety of games, art kits, and cards they offer.
Monica FRIEL: This establishment has the absolute best staff members! My kids love to come to their Pokémon kids events on Saturdays. I wanted to start my own binder to connect with my kids and asked the staff to help me pick out cards amd get started. They were SO helpful and supportive. They never made me feel embarrassed for being totally out of my comfort zone. They even hooked me up with a binder to keep my cards in! My card collection is growing quickly and I'm able to connect with my kids on their level which is awesome. I'm so thankful for the willingness to teach from the staff! We drive 45 min from Novi every weekend we are able to make it and it's always worth it!
Rachel Rogers: Everyone working was incredible friendly and helpful! There was a really great selection of board games and the owner spent a good amount of time explaining options and asking the type of games we liked best. We were told about a board game night on Thursdays that I am excited to come for!
Fadi Zarka: Cool place for MtG tournaments!
Eric Ackerman: Wonderful space and friendly staff.A wide selection of board games and stocked to the brim with trading card games like Magic and Flesh and blood. They have some hobby supplies and miniatures for GW games like Warhammer 40k and AoS, but that's about it. Would be sweet to see some miniature variety for games like Conquest, Marvel Crisis Protocol and A Song of Ice and Fire too!
Benjamin A: I love supporting local stores, so it pains me to say that this place really let me down. It's a very long story, but they told me that they would get something from their other store during the week. No call came, but the website said in stock and I was next door the next Saturday, so I popped over to check. The person at the desk said that they hadn't gotten any in, but I noticed the box behind him and pointed it out. He said that they had opened it for their tournament that day and there were no others.I'm not usually one for wearing tin foil hats, but it's hard for me to not connect a few dots:There were none last Sunday. One was supposed to show up during the week, transferred from the Howell store and be held for us. A mysterious new one was opened Saturday. No official shipments had arrived that week.I'm sorry, but that just looks like they opened the one that should have been held. If you feel I'm being paranoid, then go ahead and disregard my review-- I WANT them to succeed! Honest! It's just that now I'm going to have to go to some terrible big box store, and that bums me out.
Jon Causer: Great store and staff, the staff are very knowledgeable about the games they sell and for the events they hold. Very friendly and willing to give advice and recommendations as they can, they do not try and upsell and are honest about what they have and sell.
Andrew Sulisz: Excellent selection and friendly staff.
Jennifer VanBeck: I am SO impressed by all the staff at Upkeep Games, from the people who have answered the phones in such a friendly and helpful way, as well as the lovely staff that has been so patient with my 5 year old whenever we come in. We went to Upkeep Games this morning for their Pokemon trading event and I was so impressed by the time the staff to try to teach my son and his friend the game and about Pokemon in general. They were very patient and made them feel very comfortable being in a setting with older kids. We will definitely be back regularly and will do all of our Pokemon purchasing at Upkeep Games!
Jonathan Valdez: Hidden in the back of the shopping complex next to a boxing gym. Really like the build a dice set aquarium they have.Local game store that sells board games and card games. They also run in-house events.Great parking lot.
Charles Scrase: My kids love this place. Best place for Pokemon cards in Ann Arbor
John T: Go there every other week for DND. Love it!

Vault of Midnight: what do users think?
Andy B: Large store with a great selection and very knowledgeable, very cool staff. The layout is a perfect blend of comfortable spacing and product density. There is a lot to browse through but the store doesn't feel crowded.
Ryan Corbin: I can’t walk out of here without a stack of books. Every single time. Amazing selection. Great amount of Humanoids books.
Brad Tobin: Love this place! Great selection friendly staff
Sierra clark: Absolutely love this place for manga and comics. They have a small collection in stock but if you’re looking for something specific they can always look it up and get it in for you. They even have pulling boxes that you can sign up for so you don’t miss the next issue of your favorite comics. I absolutely love stopping by when I’m in town.
D Gilmer: Big store with lots of stuff from comics and collectibles to zines and indie TTRPGs. Friendly staff!
Michelle A: Always a delight.
Michael Taillard: Comics, manga, tabletop games, RPGs, collectibles, etc. Knowledgeable and friendly. Truly a great nerd shop.Would it kill them to put a big oscillating fan in there, though? The air sits heavy and stagnant everywhere except right in front of a tiny AC near the back.
Tabetha Short: Love the store but no public restrooms.
Matthew Foster: Went to Vault of midnight on a whim today while exploring Ann Arbor. I found so many cool current indie titles I haven't been able to find elsewhere! Loved that they had a hard copy of Flavor Girls out on display as that title flew under the radar when it released so great to see VoM knew what was up! Also Leslie's Picks were on point with copies of Squee and JTHM! If u know u know! Amazing shop I plan to frequent often!
Brad Probert: This place is always amazing. Massive collection of comics, Manga books, collectible figurines, and SO MANY board games!
Terri Vehrenkamp: As always the vault of midnight staff were welcoming, knowledgable and helpful. They almost always have what we're looking for and if not they have suggestions for similar items.
Chance Petree: great place 👌 👍 good atmosphere and staff
Doug Kalmbach (Duggyffresh): A must for any fan of comic books and board games
ray charles: This place is rad AF
Lawrence Siden: Great collection.
Peter Hofesmann: Great selection of games
Casey Watson: I absolutely love going to this place, whether it be for comic books, board games, or even dice! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful!
Joggo: As a nerd, this was a perfect spot to chill at. Great for children and adults. Could sell some more mainstream Pokemon cards though.
Amelie Perry: This store has a fun vibe that makes me happy every time I walk inside it. And there is always something new to catch my eye! It can be a bit pricey so definitely set a budget. Love this store and would recommend it to any other weirdos like me :).
billy Byers: This place is amazing for collectors or fans of anime or comics they have board games you name it you will more and likely see it here best shopping experience
Todd Minnehan: Same place it has always been.

Sylvan Factory: what do users think?
Abrahim Alrawashdeh: Scammers
setto s: Love the layout of this place, very friendly staff. Can't wait to return!
Jeffrey Davenport: Awesome store, amazing staff and atmosphere!
Samantha Eyerman: An incredibly inclusive place! Everyone who works here is friendly & helpful, as are the other patrons. I've observed both groups of people extend inclusion, respect, and support to people with cognitive and maturity deficits.I can't recommend Sylvan Factory enough if you're looking for a gaming community to connect with.I've been here for D&D and MTG gaming sessions with a friend; it's a safe place to learn and play.
Eric McGlohon: Regular gaming nights. Super-friendly staff.
Amir Gamzu: Great play area!
Alan Kosiba: If you are a gamer this place is IT.
Michael R: Really great place that is kid and beginner friendly. They run tons of different events for all sorts of nerdy stuff and are really a great addition to the community!
Melissa Bucholz: Not an ideal location for me to go regularly due to traffic, but it's a well stocked store especially if you play MTG. Lots of supplies. The folks there were super nice and I wound up hanging out and talking to the employees for quite a while.
Jay (VGL): Your one stop shop for all things tabletop and TCG. Incredibly kind and friendly staff, the owner is one of the nicest people I've met!Great place to come and play some weekly magic 😊
Mark Jochum: In addition to a big selection of boardgames and geeky goods, Sylvan Factory has a large open space at the back where I've played boardgames on Sundays in the afternoon. There is a mini fridge of various beverages for purchase and lots of friendly folks to game with. To be clear though, that's during the event, you probably couldn't come in and find other people waiting around to play a game at some random time during the week. Check their event schedule
C T: Casual spot to play and buy board games. they have many magic tournaments and things going on as well. open board gaming on Sundays with a solid turnout. will definitely be back to play and buy games.
Chris Most: Very Nice and clean Venue. Prices are Right and the selection of board games and card games is amazing...looks like they have a great play area for cards and table top gaming...okay selection of table top stuff battle tech and Warhammer...over all this place was great definitely recommend a visit
Thomas Deren: A warm and inclusive game shop! Awesome selection of games, collectibles, plushes, LARPing supplies, and gaming accessories, as well as a beautiful gaming space with a myriad of weekly casual events. Staff are super cool and the owners have deep roots in the industry. Beautiful and convenient location too!
Dave T: Awesome hobby store! They sell RPGs, card games, board games, miniatures, etc.Tables for playing games with friends inside.Funny restroom placard pictured.
Emily Darow: Sylvan Factory is an outstanding place! Friendly knowledgeable staff, comfortable clean playing space, huge inventory of board games, card games, tabletop games, cosplay and collectibles. If you're looking for a place to find a group to game with, try out a game, or even just learn about something new. This is the place to check out!!!!
Monica Hart: Ken and Kayn immediately gravitated towards us as soon as we walked through the door and started sharing their abundant knowledge of MTG. We love the small town friendly energy in this place and how friendly and engaging the employees are. Great selection and we will be back for magic fridays!
Andrew Kub: Nice shop with area for games. The staff, Vincent is really nice. I go there for larp supplies.
William Purves: Dice roll and rattleFriends gather, game, stories growCommunity sparks!
Nathan Haller: So glad we stopped in, pulled a Girantina V Alt Art from a Lost Origins pack!!
Jacob Kauppi: Quite a nice store, very knowledgeable staff. They host a number of different events which all have been fun and well run. Lots of support for TCG's (Magic, Pokémon, etc) and RPG's. Their more traditional board game selection is smaller than I might personally choose but still pretty solid, and I wouldn't be surprised if it improves over time (they still had some space on the shelves). Overall a pleasant experience and somewhere I will certainly go again.Edit: Board game selection has expanded considerably, and they are happy to order games if needed.

Fun 4 All Comics & Games: what do users think?
Dan Nelson: Good selection of comics and games. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.Trading card games aren't really my thing, but they have events frequently for those.
Ricky Lee: Awesome staff, great place to get cards.Place has pokemon TCG, yugioh, MTG, amd a few other card games. It looks like they also have some dope figures and comic books.Absolute must for card game nerds in the ypsi area.
Andrew Kennaugh: Great store! Played once 15 years ago and recently went back. 17 people I DIDN'T know for FNM. It was good. 👍
Vivian Esquivel: Super chill vibe, lots of cool people to help with finding stuff
big125 jojo: Stop your trip. You have to stop by!
Michael Holmes: Good selection, helpful staff, quiet atmosphere.
Adam Wright: The employee I’ve met the past few times is awesome, that being said check your prices with Tcg or you’ll over pay guaranteed. Me and my wife were in buying cards and over paid by $50. The owner says it’s expensive to keep the lights on.
Alex Dowling: Really nice comic shop. They did not have the specific hobby item I wanted but directed me to a nearby small business.
LiLGuppie: I went here for the first time looking for MTG products and was suprised by how much they actually have, I saw like many different set boxes, 20+ different commander precons, and binders full of singles. I definitely suggest going here for anything MTG related, They also had a lot of DND products and other items, but I was focused on the Magic products personally so I cannot comment much on them. Also had a great worker there, the guy helped me and my friend pick which precons to buy based off his own experience with the decks and I thought that was really helpful. Great store!
Dylan Reynolds: From board games to collectable cards to comic books, there's not much you can't find here. Knowledgeable and helpful staff will talk and chat about what you want and give suggestions if you aren't sure. They host regular magic the gathering tournaments where you can play and socialize with others who share a passion for the fun, complex game of magic.Perfect place to go for gifts and fun!
Cole Nelson: Far too many comics that take up much of the store on blank plastic tables. Board games are piled up atop one another and unsorted.
Sara Heine: Good selection of comic books and graphic novels. Also a good selection of board games.
Fishing Frenzy: Great place to shop. Good selection
Jim Shillington: Great selection of comics and friendly service.
Brian Mosley (Turt McGurt): A little pricey and some things are unorganized but a great staff and a huge selection of comics and games. Really cool store
Itty Bitty Bunny Milkies: I brought my friend who is new to magic to buy a single, a bulk rare from commander legends, and they claimed they didn't sell the cards from the set or something like that. I find that hard to believe considering the wide selection including the binders of cards they have available including that specific set. The workers have a bad attitude every time I come here. The standard for the cards they will buy is absurd, they will only buy mint condition cards. Which is ridiculous considering they'll upmark a lightly played card about 20%. Not a good card shop, would not recommend.
David Wujek: Full of cards comics and games. Also snagged a cute book for my baby boy, The 1 2 3s of DnD.
Andrew Warwick: Good place for local TCG tournaments
Eric Geggus: Always a great deal and very knowledgeable staff.
Noah Brejnak: EDIT: One of the employees recognized me and we got things straightened out.TL;DR Fun draft experience but they didn't give me my prizing. If they offer you a free draft entry or packs for prizing just take the packs. I went to a Midnight Hunt draft last fall and won all 3 rounds. For prizing, I was told that I could either have 3 draft boosters or a free entry to any future standard set draft. I took the free draft entry but they didn't give me any way to verify that I had a free entry. They wrote my name down and assured me that whenever I wanted to redeem the free entry that I just had to tell them my name and that they would refer to their journal. They are now telling me, however, that they have no documentation of my free draft entry and that there's nothing they or I can do. Again, I had a good time and I don't think this was malicious so I would recommend you play here just make sure you get the prizes you win.
Monica Shen: Good place to look for back issues and older graphic novels

Golden Rhino Games: what do users think?
Jacob Winnega: Golden rhino games is single handedly the best gaming store I’ve ever been to. The staff are always helpful and experts in finding you the best table top game to play with your friends. I myself play warhammer 40K all the time here and it saves me from being crammed in those tiny little model stores the competitors have. I mean these guys have tons of space and are always happy to share it with the community. Seriously guys they have like 8 tables and every time I walk in the store people are playing something new. check out this new Star Wars game it looks sooo fun. Looks like you can play as Jedi or sith definitely check is out!!!! This place is awesome 10 out of 10!!!
Grant Forsyth: Friendly staff and a huge selection of product both in store and for special order, GRG is an amazing place for anyone who enjoys Tabletop Wargames, RPGs, or boardgames!
Brandon Burgett: The best place to get your wargaming gear!
Nau Firefox: Fantastic variety, from Warhammer to DnD books, GRG has everything I've needed for tabletop games.
Helen Stockton: The guy helping me was very nice, and knew exactly what I was looking for, for my husband's needs as I described them. Kudos!
Suprena Bigham: Good service
Joseph Sakal: Great variety of games, miniatures, and supplies. Very friendly staff and hosts sweet events.
Jason S: Ian and his staff are so helpful, they all can get you exactly what you need, give you tips and pointers on products and help you with problems with your models. They even will teach you how to play any of the games they sell at the shop! I actually had a Learn to Play 40K with Ian the store owner. It was a blast and really got me hooked into the game! He even helped me figure out a few problems I had with my own models. Their selection is top notch and the environment feels like home. I cannot recommend them enough!
Gecka: Wonderful crew that is always willing to help with any questions you may have. Ive done two painting classes with Ian that I would recommend to everyone I know! The last one we did was the airbrushing basics class. We got our own aircompressor from the store to do air brushing at home and had some issues right out of the box. Took it in and Ian helped us right away to diagnosis if there was a fixable issue. When the issue wasnt fixable, Ian swapped out the compressor for us! We are now ready to paint all thanks to Ian.We look forward to spending more time at Golden Rhino Games!
John Stoner: Friendly people, tons of product, recently expanded to include a huge selection of board games, additional gaming tables, and most every paint line out there :)
Mo: Amazing store. Ordered some models that are sold out everywhere and received it within four days. Thank you so much!!
Rick Malott: Staff is friendly enough, but they charge more for the same items as stores in the area.
Samuel Sabo: This place is awesome. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. This is without a doubt my favorite store for all things 40k.
Colt Butrick: Golden Rhino has done such an amazing job fostering an incredible community, and just in general being so kind. I've been to a lot of shops, in a lot of places, and no place has been as welcoming as GRG. Let alone have the staff known me by name, that's awesome. That's really it, I really appreciate the open arm welcome to the community, and I think all of the Miniature Hobby should take some lessons from you on how to make a newcomer feel welcome.I think any hobbyist, no matter the interest or skill level will be able to take pride in calling GRG their Hobby Home.
kylar smith: Staff are friendly and I really like the quality of the terrain kits it's also the only place I go to for mini figure paint
Joe Ricketts: Staff were very nice and helpful! There is space for playing as well and painting (which was a great surprise)!
Nick Coutts: Very cool place, amazing Warhammer games selection I swear they had one of everything. super clean and super friendly staff, prices are fair, paint and accessories are plentiful, definitely will return often.
Alexander Ball: First time inside. I spent about 3 minutes before I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful Ian. Helped me understand what I needed, despite every single inch of table space being occupied already with customers. It was busy but I still had Ian's attention for almost half an hour. Big store, a lot of stock. Lots of different games being played. I look forward to spending more time there soon.
Xenolord: Great hobby store plenty of options and lots of table space for painting and and modeling or playing your war mini games
Sage Belrose: Had a lovely experience. They didn't have the exact item I needed, but I was very particular. Stock is generally solid, prices are fair, the space is beautiful, and the people are nice (and no one had bad body odor, which is rare in these kinds of spaces).I went in looking for a Deck Box for some Tarot Decks, and had a lovely chat with several people there. This is a nice community hub for anyone interested in Tabletop Games, especially wargaming, which is what they were setup for when I arrived. Something called Bolt Action I think? It was new to me.
Matthew Cherry: TLDR, A neat and clean, welcoming store with a wide variety and polite staff. This review is for 2 weeks ago, my cousin and I stopped by on a whim and expecting a table top store like all the others we were pleasantly surprised to find a neatly stocked well lit and busy store. The atmosphere was welcoming, there were games going on of 40k and age of Sigmar even a table playing bolt action. The veriaty of games and accessories was extensive, all the major brands, even AK interactive and a few brands I didn't know existed. One of the owners or the owner came up to us and introduced himself he was very polite and informative. I bought a few things and even got a free golden rhino sticker which is proudly attached to my water bottle I use every day.I had talked about things I wanted to purchase in the future and the gentleman was kind enough to show me what they had comparable to what i was looking for in an airbrush and even a type of color shift paint from a brand I already owned but didn't know came out yet.I can't wait to come back to this store even though I live 90 minutes away but it was worth the stop In and I highly suggest you do the same.
