Tom Morgan: Stay away. Absolutely NO quality control. The design of the 15 BRESSLER MAPLE cabinets we purchased (10k) is wonderful. The assembly is careless and appauling. Almost half the cabinets had quality issues. Costing us time and money in delay and return trips by installer. They did not argue, how could they when we sent photos of the damage? BUT the time delay with a kitchen job is nothing but aggravation. The sink base had a crack in the wood where the door hinge was forced. This is the KEY cabinet due to all the plumbing, delaying the entire job by more than a month waiting for replacements. If you can imagine your kitchen in the living room for over 2 months, that is the aggravation part. Workers obviously just do not care and NO ONE did any quality check, instead just shipped it! Our installer said this is typical from Cardell recently. Broken wood from no predrilled holes, veneer pealing off when our painters tape being removed, drawer damaged in shipping because the guides were never even screwed in. I can go on. They would not even give me a $85 credit for return trip I had to pay the installer. Poor communication from reps if any at all. They deserve to go out of business.Service:Cabinet design

Angelika Difort: Our experience with Cardell Cabinetry has been a living nightmare. Upon receiving our order, we opened our cabinets and 90% of our cabinets were either chipped, peeling, or just downright broken. I contacted Menards and they agreed to refund me once a representative came to confirm damages. I had a Cardell representative come to my house to confirm damages and he basically laughed off my concerns, implied that I’m being picky, and claimed that “no one has ever had such complaints like you do.” The representative also told me that when ordering wood cabinets, I should expect to see chipped, peeling, and broken wood?! He said that wood is not perfect therefor cabinets can’t be perfect either. I wasn’t expecting perfect but when you pay $7k in cabinets, you do at least expect them to be in great condition and not like they were thrown around a warehouse and dropped in a puddle before arriving to your home. The rep then contacted Menards, downplayed the damages, and told them that my concerns were solely cosmetic. Menards and Cardell refuse to issue me a refund and insist I must keep ordering replacements for the cabinets, despite giving no reassurance that the replacements will not arrive defected or damaged. I am embarrassed to hang up these eyesore of cabinets that I payed so much for. Avoid this company (and Menards) at all costs. After getting five quotes from custom to builders supply companies and other retailer sold cabinets we took a chance on Cardell through Menard’s. We couldn’t be happier! After 3 tries to get the cabinets in not damaged we still only have maybe 3 if I pull pieces from others that would be acceptable. Contact with the BBB only proved that this company doesn't really care about the customer and is more willing to continue to send damaged products instead of making it write approving a refund.

Maxine Sims: We bought custom cabinets from them through Menards. The delivery was 15 weeks late the double oven cabinet hole was not cut to the right dimensions. One of the cabinets had a cracked cabinet face. I had a problem with the delivery team and called to get help from them. They were supposed to send me matching paint at no extra charge. I never received the paint. No one ever returned my calls about the cabinet issues. We purchased all maple cabinets for the price we paid I wish we would have looked at a local custom cabinet maker instead. Don’t spend your money here!!

Karla Westerfield: We ordered a vanity cabinet at Menard's in October 2022. We did receive a partial shipment of "parts" (still don't know what they were) on the scheduled delivery date of 12/9/22. The main vanity was misdelivered to a company in Gillette, WY the same day. It took another couple of weeks to recoup and deliver the cabinet, which was finally delivered on 12/30/22. The original cabinet was delivered in a damaged box with an entire door missing and a drawer front very obviously attached crooked. We took photos and went through Menards to complain and demand a new cabinet. It took another week for Cardell to respond (1/4/23) and give us a new due date of 2/17/23. This was another 6 weeks for an "expedited" order because, according to Vanessa at Cardell, who was very short tempered and rude, there were many other "expedited" orders ahead of us.We still haven't gotten a delivery time for the 17th. We shall see how delivery actually goes.I would recommend that Menard's cease their association with Cardell and its associates. I would further recommend that Cardell spend some funds on teaching their phone staff (I can't call them customer service because they are consistently rude and oblique on the phone) how to better assist customers, such as getting REAL information for them when they call, not just reading a script or doing the very least they possibly can get away with. It is terrible-the cabinets looked striped.and fake. I ordered the same cabinets that were displayed in the store-it's like false advertising because the cabinets I received aren't at all what I saw in the store. We received a text with a date that the replacement would be delivered and it was not delivered.This happened 4 times. They could have a good product, but the management of this company is very poor.

Every cabinet has some paint defect.( Paint rubbed off, bare wood showing, scratches, runs in paint, some seams fillled others not, excessive glue squeezed out on exposed cabinet ends, dirt in paint etc....)Very poor quality control. We purchased Cardell cabinets knowing full well they weren't high end custom cabinets but did think they would be middle of the road, decent quality cabinets based off of what menards had described. They are not. We ordered all new wall and base cabinets for our kitchen and one showed up broken beyond use and another was incorrect, the replacement showed up incorrect again and the other replacement was inexplicably lost somewhere in transit. On top of that the cabinets that arrived correctly had lots of nicks and scratches, excessive glue all over cabinets, drawer slides ripped off, many were way out of square from all angles, hinge screws way out of wack, etc. Do not recommendService:Custom cabinet design installation

james windish: We purchased our cabinets from menards (this review has nothing to do with them theybwere amazing) cardell on the other hand must not have a quality control department as every cabinet we received was damaged in some way. Scratch chipped huge runs in the stain and clear not level took forever to get to us and when we called to complain it got us nowhere. Their add says build your dream kitchen well thats what we wanted to do instead it's our nightmare kitchen 14k in cabinetry and all they wanna do is make us wait another month to send out more probably bad parts to fix. Our installer had to wait and push other jobs because they didn't send all parts and directions for install the parts the send you have to cut down yourself nothing comes precut or predrilled I mean what happend to custome cabinetry? That's what we paid for. VERY disappointed in this company all around

It was the wrong shape and color. We waited another 3 weeks and the cabinet was once again delivered damaged. Still waiting for yet another delivery 4 months from the original order date. We now have 2 damaged cabinets and 1 incorrect cabinet that we have to get rid of. Nightmare!
