Michael Schmid: I saw a truck on this website that I was very interested in, especially being a 6 speed manual, so I called the dealer and spoke to Scott, after debating on driving 9 hours to see a truck that "the 4wd does not work, and I would have to put the emissions back into", I bit the bullet and upon arrival to the dealership I began to check the truck out and noticed the driveshaft had been ripped out, and there was a quarter size hole in the bell housing of the transmission. They proceeded to hand me the keys and push me to take the truck for a test drive. on a bad gut feeling I decided to open up the hood before even starting the truck. Thank god I did because there was NO OIL CAP after stating I don't want to look at it any further I was asked "why not" after insisting on there offer of just putting an oil cap on the truck I was furious. while leaving the lot for a 9 hour drive back home, I received a call from Scott asking why I don't want this "great truck" after explaining myself why I didn't want the truck he insisted on putting an oil cap on the truck because its "not a big deal" an oil cap might not seem like a lot to him, but as a dealer they should at least know the repercussions of what this could cause... blown motor. I don't even know how these people are still in business.
cl no fear: Sold me what my mechanic described as a life threateningly dangerous vehicle. They don't inspect anything at all. They just buy junk cars and sell them as fast as they can. The part to fix it was 65 dollars. Is my life worth only 65 dollars?Horrific. Do not trust them. It's Russian roulette.Update: They called to try and pay for the repairs. I don't want their money. Also called to clarify that the vehicles are sold as is and they don't do any sort of inspection. I wouldn't even test drive a vehicle here if I were you guys. It's potentially dangerous. Or Make sure you have a mechanic with a mobile lift on hand to fully inspect the car before you test drive or buy. Guess it isn't completely fair of me to leave one star. It is my fault for not realizing they have written down dangerous policies that I signed up for.Hopefully they change their business practices. It's theirs to run, but I don't think they'll have repeat business from me. Even in buying a brand new car when I'm in the market for one.
Julie Eckert: Mark Young was my sales person and he was absolutely amazing. I originally had a 7am apt for an oil change on my blazer. When it was done i went to the sales dept and spoke with Aaron the sales manager went over a few things with him and he handed me off to Mark. My lease wasn't up till Sept so I wasn't really actively looking to trade in yets so leaving with a new vehicle didn't matter either way. I felt so bad for Mark bc he had spent all day dealing with my back and forth on payments. I felt bad because at the end I just couldn't justify at the time the downplay and monthly. But they really wanted me to be happy and worked with me. And at the end of the day I felt good bout my new lease. I know it's the job but at no point did I ever feel that was the case.

There was a nice gentleman who continued to apologize for the long wait as he was the only one in the service department. Once my car was serviced it didn't take long. Curtis Damon: I dropped off vehicle at 8:45 am, it took another 30+ minutes for the advisor to enter my information into the system. Not a problem, but a delay when I needed a shuttle home. I was told the oil change/tire rotation wouldn't take long...but I waited all day. I called 5 times, and each time my call was dropped and/or never received a call back. Finally, had an Admin walk over to the advisor with my name, number to persist on a call back. An hour later I get a call that my vehicle is almost completed and shuttle is on its way. Was told the delay was due to nobody knowing that my vehicle was awaiting service, if I hadn't called it never would have been completed. Upon pick-up I waited another 30 min as the advisor tried to charge me for the service, but I explained in the morning that I have a pre-purchased service plan and all oil changes are covered. Had to wait while they checked with another advisor and had to reenter all my info before finally getting my keys to go home.

However, the very next day after purchasing the car, I discovered that the key didn't work, the radio was broken, and the interior lights were out. When I called the dealership to ask for help, they promised to fix the issues but kept the car for over two weeks without actually fixing anything.To make matters worse, I later discovered that the car may have been stolen, which was the reason for all the problems. When I tried to contact the dealership to ask for compensation for the trouble and for the money I spent installing a remote starter, they promise to pay it has been more than a month now I didn't receive any payment and they refused to answer my calls or respond to my messages. It's clear that this dealership has no qualms about taking advantage of customers and then ignoring them once they have their money.I strongly advise anyone looking to purchase a car to steer clear of this dealership. The staff are rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful, especially the manager who is arrogant and treats people poorly, including displaying clear racism. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere."

Ziyi Lin: BEWARE!! The dealership will say any lies just to have you buy the car, and once you walk out of the door good luck trying to get them to take any responsibility for anything!Bought a car from them based on their multi-point inspection report stating that everything, including suspension components, were inspected and “OK at this time”. Within 5 days of taking delivery warning lights came up, car is slammed overnight, and noises coming from the suspension. Now I am facing a $5,300 bill for leaking suspension and worn out compressor!I have bought cars from other Porsche dealerships in the past and their report for the conditions of their cars were always comprehensive and truthful, any issues that might need future attentions were detailed and made clear to me. Suspension damages like this do not happen overnight. Service department from another Porsche dealership also confirmed that these are something that should’ve been noticed and conveyed to the customer during a multi-point inspection.I’ve already contacted the management trying to work something out with them. Not only did it took almost a whole month before I was able to talk to someone, when I finally was able to talked to someone, the manager was extremely unprofessional and impatient. I could hardly finish any sentences before I was cut off. In short they deny any responsibilities and basically said “suck it, you bought the car so too bad anything broke”.It seems that not all Porsche dealerships are created equally, some take pride and responsibility for what they sell and some just want to make a quick buck. I was misled by the untruthful depiction of the car’s condition and who knows what other issues lurks underneath the car.So just be careful, a “Porsche” on their door doesn’t mean they will adhere to the standard of the brand. In this case they are just like any “yo-yo” dealership: lie to you to get you to buy the car, and you get bent over with a car that require massive repair bill.
chris hicks: Brought my wife's Panamera in for its 1st service. The Service center was accommodating and provided a loaner for the day. We had been quoted a price before dropping the vehicle off and they let us know that the service was actually cheaper then expected so our finale bill was less then expected. Very honest. We will definitely continue to use them for the life of our Porsche ownership.

When I was going for cancer treatment at UofM, I was 20 years old. I was in sweats and scared to ask for a brochure (I am autistic), no one knew, they just treated me with respect and kindness. Since, 20 years ago, I'm still treated with that same respect when I go take photos. I own a used Porsche I refurbished, and always get parts from them. Trust me, no other dealership is as amazing as Porsche Ann Arbor.

The first Porsche dealer I talked with and test drove were pretty douchey considering I don’t really look like the typical Porsche driver and was able to pay cash for my car, plus they made it seem it was near impossible to get a hybrid. The A2 dealer was not like that. They were willing to make a deal, and kept me up-to-date on the status of my vehicle plus went the extra mile by delivering my vehicle at home during Covid and adding extra special goodies just for me. JP and Barry were great to deal with. Highly recommend.

I called the dealer twice to ask to ship one to me. Although both time, people in the sale department said they will ship one to me but never happened. Is this what a Porsche dealer offers to customers?Update: my sales gentleman Jay sent the bracket shortly after my comment. It appeared he was not in the office when I called the dealer. I appreciate the promptness of the dealer management and Jay to help solve the issue. But I still think that other sales rep who promised me could do better.
Shirley Wheeler: The service for the recall on my 2010 Porsche was great. While there I asked for car floor mats which had to be ordered. I was told that when the mats arrived I could pay to have them shipped to my home. It's been 2 weeks with several calls made to the dealer and message left with no return call. I guess that means that I need to go somewhere else to order my mats. Thanks for the service.

David Golovoy: Jay Douglas was very patient and helpful as I spent nearly a year looking at and test driving several new 911s, including base, turbo, and GTS models. Although I ended up buying a certified used turbo from out of state, I have great confidence in the sales staff at this dealership and would not hesitate to buy new or used from them. A good friend of mine purchased a used 911 from them and was very happy with his experience as well.Since purchasing my turbo, I have had two non warranty service experiences with Porsche of Ann Arbor. Both wear somewhat unusual requests, including steering wheel swap and deactivation of the power steering plus feature. The dealer had not done either of these before, but the service manager, Phil Kaiser, and the service technicians spent a lot of time to do the jobs correctly without overcharging me. The steering wheel swap and reprograming took around 4 hours. From what I read on porsche forums, this is about average time for a dealer that has not done it before, and people where generally charged for the actual time spent. Porsche of AA charged me book time of 1hour.I feel fortunate to be a Porsche owner, and very lucky to live near such a great dealership.

Despite this, I was the first interested potential buyer (out of eight apparently) and also have significant knowledge regarding the pre-owned automotive industry and wholesale values. Germain Porsche wouldn't disclose the amount they purchased the vehicle for and the sales manager was not in sight (I was the only non-employee there). So basically, since I was the only potential customer, wouldn't a true leader be grateful and express his appreciation personally?? In addition, Germain Porsche said they made a mistake offering a price too low and that it will be raised several thousand dollars the next day!!! This is a franchise dealer representing a company obsessed with perfection and satisfaction!!! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY!!!!

I had a reservation to pick up a car at 8am was told the day before I picked up the car that it wouldn't be a problem to get there between 8am-10:30am because my schedule was busy in the morning. I arrived at 10:30am and the male desk worker told me that they gave the car to someone else because I wasn't there at 8am. Zero compassion, apology or professionalism from the man even though this was an error on his part. I would not use or recommend this location to anyone.
Ms.: I thank everyone at the Enterprise on Jackson Road in Ann Arbor for being so kind. I rented a car for 24 hours on Thursday through Friday. On Friday my meetings and appointments were backed up. By the time I made it to one of my meetings, I knew I would not have enough time to make it to my other appointments. So I called Enterprise. I think the supervisor answered. I explained my dilemma to her. She was very understanding and offered an additional 4 hours at no additional cost. And it was on a busy Friday. I hardly ever have a great reason to write a great review. I'm truly appreciative of the quality service I received!

Rebecca Hull: Travelled over 2 hours to go to this dealer for a specific truck. Truck wasn’t ready to be off the lot, which is completely understandable, so they had someone deliver it the next day. We were supposed to have two keys, they only dropped it off with one. We call and they say they will mail it to us when they mail the plate which they said took about two weeks. A full month later we are calling asking where the plate is because our temporary plate was now expired. “Oh we’ve had it for over a week now, when were you guys planning on picking it up?” I reminded them that it was supposed to be sent and it took them three days to find my plate and ship it out. Plate finally gets here, no key. Absolutely baffles me. All customer service flew out the window once they got their sale.

Hannah Ruble: DO NOT buy tires or get tires mounted here. I purchased new tires from them and had them installed yesterday. During a road trip today, my tire pressure halved due to an installation error that caused a sidewall bubble. (Tire bead was torn during install). My tire almost blew on the highway. I was also recommended a list of unnecessary services that are only required at 100,000 miles/10 years.UPDATE: Got ANOTHER side wall bubble on one of the other tires today thanks to incompetent installation. The installer never seated the bead properly.Another update: Turns out 3/4 of the tire beads weren't seated properly. Could've blown a tire on three separate occasions . I need 3 tires replaced due to the mechanic's mistake.Toyota of Ann Arbor won't call me back to fix the issue they caused.

The owner said he was going to call me tonight but that's too late for me to set up a different rental through a different company. I was supposed to be in Chicago for my father in laws funeral but now I have to miss it because the other rental car companies won't have anything available within my budget. Thanks uncut car rental for your poor service and making it impossible to get to my father in laws funeral. I also had booked my hotel with no cancellation so I'm out 300 dollars for that too. I would never recommend this company and hope they learn from their mistakes and hopefully make it right by offering to reimburse me for the money I am out due to their negligence. Btw all reviews look like they are from people who are related to them. What a scam.

Budget Car Rental: what do users think?
Eleanor Brundage: We rented a Subaru Outback, now stuck in DC because the car battery ran out and we can't enter the car. At first we thought it was the fob so my husband went looking for a battery. Roadside assistance was no help, asked us to buy a battery! Service has really gone the drain. 2nd call was better but slow. He sent a person who unlocked the door and recharged the car battery, a lifesaver! Thanks to him we continued on our journey but missed a lunch invite.
Mitch Johnson: If I could I would give this place zero stars. My pick up was supposed to be at 11 AM. There was no one there at 11 to pick up my car. 10 minutes later someone arrived. I waited in line and finally made paperwork out 11:25. I already pre-paid Plus I did the pre-check in online. If that wasn’t enough I finally got out to the parking lot for them to bring my car to me I looked at my paperwork and it had somebody else’s name on it. It had someone else’s name but my credit card information on it. It also was not the right company I booked through online. It said I booked it through Avis I didn’t I booked it through budget. So they had to redo my paperwork and I had to wait again. They brought my car out to me and it was filthy Inside and out. The guy that brought it to me would not correct anything he only offered me an eight dollar car wash. He said he couldn’t get me anything else. So I took the car and had to fight with budget on the phone which cost me more time I did not have. If it will let me I will love the pictures of the car they gave me and wouldn’t make it right. Finally at 11:58 I could finally leave. It also cost me extra because my other rental was late. They took nearly an hour. I will be going back to Hertz and never use them again!
Margo M. Mahan: Unless nature has guaranteed that you will never get sick, rent elsewhere. I have a one way rental that I was to return to this location last week. Unfortunately, due to COVID, it’s been sitting in my driveway instead. Now that I’m starting to feel a bit better, I was hoping to finally return the car today. I naively assumed that after three years, like most businesses, Budget has a non-punitive customer friendly procedure in place for COVID-related rental issues. They do not. My options are to: a. Pay $270 for Budget to tow the vehicle 5 miles from my home to their location; b. continue to pay for the vehicle to sit in my driveway by extending the rental, or; c. drop the vehicle off in the lot, unlocked, with keys inside, then call to let them know it’s there (which likely means I’ll have to call repeatedly until someone at the location answers before my calls are forwarded to someone overseas). Option C enables the staff there to take precautionary measures against COVID (as it should). It also forces me to break quarantine and ultimately expose, at a minimum, whomever drives me home afterward (a Lyft or Uber driver, friend, etc.). In other words, it protects their staff’s health & well-being (as it should) and keeps business moving with my rental back in circulation — customer and public health be damned. This is my first time renting with Budget. Well before the COVID pandemic, the non-airport locations of other rental companies, at least in other states (I’m relatively new to MI) have provided car pickup and drop off services for seniors, folks with disabilities, and in extenuating circumstances such as proof of illness. That is something that Budget does not do. Now I know. This is also my last time renting with Budget.

Our choice for any friends or family visiting us.They are not super fast, like any rental location. Cars are somewhat ok and somewhat clean. It is a little bit of a luck factor. They don't have a big choice and it is logical.Make sure to note your fuel level, taking pictures and double check your invoice. You will probably have some mistakes made along the way. When you call they will fix the mistakes made ... Won't give five stars because we always need to double check everything.There is sadly very few other option in Ann Arbor. It is fair and that is all. 4 stars.

There was something wrong with my card this time but the staff helped me resolve it very quickly. The cars I got from this place are always of high quality and easy to drive. I was then transferred to customer service after sitting on the phone for so long each time where they put me on hold for another 30 minutes each time. When I finally got someone on the phone they gone tell me that I was not getting my $200 deposit back cause it went towards my rental after they had took money out my account for the rental everytime. Something told me to go to Enterprise. I font know why I trusted Budget. I already knew they wasn't good business from the one in South Carilina. I didn't think they was crooked everywhere, but now I see...I'm telling you if you want Quality service don't come here not only is the rental places run by children but customer service is tooNEVER AGAIN...
William Griffin: If I could do negative stars….I had a guaranteed reservation. $25 Uber ride to location. No car. Not available. The shop had been open 3 Hours prior to my arrival; they could have notified me. They did not. Offered a vehicle for me to go get AN HOUR AWAY. NOT A SOLUTION! Called 3 times from the rental location. Hung up on. No help from budget or Expedia. Watched them not help 3 other people while I was there. This company is THE WORST!!!

Shawn: Some of the other reviews talk about how this place is operated by children. Well, I can verify this. . . I picked up my car yesterday and noticed that the employees are all teenagers. They have almost NO knowledge about ANYTHING at all. When you speak to the staff or ask a question, I suggest choosing your words carefully and use brief sentences. Do NOT overwhelm the staff with multiple points / questions at the same time. If you do, their programming will fail immediately and you'll be given an unhelpful, default response. Think of the experience as similar to talking to a robot that's been struck by lightning and needs to reboot. If your question or statement is acceptable to them, you'll immediately face a, brief, blank stare with little indication that they heard or understood you. Don't panic, this is normal. After the initial pause, you might be given a response. When it comes, their response will be mumbled at such a low volume that you'll barely perceive it. This, combined with the fact that everyone speaks at the floor or otherwise away from you, makes communication challenging, at best. . . . There is no customer service here, don't expect any and you'll be fine.I think I figured it out. Other reviews mention a character named Ibrahim, who, I think, manages or owns this location. I'm guessing that Ibrahim has hired his kids or other family members to run things when he's not there. Or, maybe he hires "at risk" kids in order to give them a job. That's fine and all, good for him (them). But, if you rent from this location, know what you're getting into. The price was good. But, "you get what you pay for."As an addendum to my above review - I picked up my car on a Sunday for a four day rental. They quoted me a price of $40.99 per day, plus taxes and other associated fees. I called on the following Tuesday to extend my rental for another 3 weeks. The person I talked to said that this was not a problem and I'd be charged a daily rate of $49.00. Huh, $9.00 more per day than I was originally quoted? The icing on the S**T cake was that they took over $1,700 from my checking account right then and there WITHOUT telling me they were do so. I was beyond livid as a result of this. I decided to return the car as soon as humanly possible. While cleaning the car I found a rotting tomato under the passenger seat, an old iced tea bottle and a business card. Wait. . . maybe the tomato was the icing on the S**T cake. In the end, they refunded the money they stole from me. But, still, one of the worst experiences I've had with a business.

Found out they close shop earlier than our contract required, which meant that we left the keys in the car and just left it in the lot as instructed by the 800 number. Found out the next week that the location didn't bother closing out our rental the next day- or ever. They left us with a $1k bill while they totally kept renting the car out to other people. It took getting a new car at a whole different location and then getting them to override the charges to even know that anything was wrong because apparently no one could be bothered to tell us beforehand. Never renting with Budget again. We're frugal, but there's a limit.

For example, if you don’t call and extend, there’s a $20 per day late fee that you will inquire as well as a $10 extension fee! I dropped my car off after hours and was charged for an additional day! The cost was over $80 and again I had a smaller car. He stated that's all he could do. He would not allow me to speak to anyone else. He told me to file a complaint with corporate. He was very unprofessional, with not an ounce of sympathy or empathy. I will never rent from this location again.
