St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church: what do users think?
Donna Krukowski: I have been a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Ann Arbor since approximately 1997. The sole parishioner to a new parish can be daunting. However, I found a welcoming parish with people who wanted to include a new member. After a few years I joined the parish group of St. Vincent DePaul Service Group & then the big leap to becoming a Eucharistic Minister. I found “my calling” and my Church Family!
Ayala Diego: Good services especially the holiday ones
Kelly Dean: Gorgeous inside though the front doors are horribly weathered. 😥
Theo Sprauer: This Church is beautiful and amazing. I have loved going to mass here.
Conklin Jason: The Parrish is beautiful. Fr James is a great person. The school is wonderful. My Grandchildren are both students and they are both growing into successful young humans.
Gener Rayo Velazquez: Una gran organización que ayuda a quien lo necesita
Daniel Yurko: Father was rude and the website is layed out in a confusing way
Megan Hogan: We love this church! When we moved to Ann Arbor we wanted to find a place that would welcome us with open arms. They sure did. We are so happy to be here.
David Frank: In my opinion it's really no different than going to Christ of King's church. Except this one is growing. However all churches will get bigger in size when renovated. Other than that I'm not sure how to describe my experience.
Mary Campbell: Saturday Mass on our way back from Chicago. And Michigan played Ohio State AND WON. YIPPEE
Jacob Buckland: This is an amazing church. I go here almost every Sunday!
Owen Li: Wonderful people 😊
Sheri McEachern: Leave a little early for traffic and detours ((2022))
Steven Smith: Church is beautiful, Fr. James is great but was in a wedding here and the administrator, Carol, was probably the worst person I’ve ever met. She treated to us like we were children. This included yelling at the grooms for greeting the guests, starting the rehearsal 15 min late and kicking us out, and refusing to let the sober bridal party use the restroom before an hour long wedding.
Karen McClure: Beautiful church .
Pablo Garcia: La misa en Español nos hace sentir como en casa y en familia.
Daniel Purnama: Our Sunday mass over 40 years now.
Mary Tendorf: I am grateful for the daily Mass
Nathan Harburg: The renovation is gorgeous! Come visit Jesus in the Tabernacle!
Mame Levijoki: This is a wonderful, multicultural church community. The pastor, Fr. Conlon is a Christ centered priest who encourages members to love God and serve others. This is an excellent home parish for families, single people and students.
Mark David: I love coming to this church whenever I'm in Ann arbor. Great congregation and great sermons

Christ the King Catholic Church: what do users think?
David Frederick Baldner: Beautiful Mass; worship is joyfull and upbeat. Nice friendly folks
Leonard Mukasa: Heavenly experience at 9am MassApril 23 2023
Flo Brighton: Beautiful parish! I have CTK to thank for introducing me to the power and love of the Holy Spirit. The parish is alive and filled with on fire Catholics who live their faith. Fr. Ed gives incredible homilies filled with scripture and beautiful theology as well as powerful testimonies of the Holy Spirit working today. The RCIA program is so welcoming and very informative. If you haven’t been to church in a while or are curious about what Catholics believe don’t be afraid to check CTK out!
lucy alegre: I've been working hard for months to do my first communion through RCIA and was supposed to receive my sacrament during this Easter vigil just for it to be taken away from me this past week by the director Jessica Dudek. This is because she didn't agree with a decision my fiance and I made. I suggest to any adult looking to enter the church and have their First Communion done to go else where and not deal with the RCIA here. Not unless you want your personal life choices to effect you coming into the church and have someone tell you that they feel you are not ready to enter the church just because of a choice that does not match their personal standards. Then telling you that your personal choices are is their business. I emailed her boss and the head of the church to speak to them but never got ahold of anyone. So please if you looking to strengthen your faith or do your first communion do not come to this church.
Eileen Page: Can feel the Presence there. Wonderful sermons
Bee Sings: Beautiful mass, went for Christmas Eve service and it had me and my family near tears, the youth group is really good as well, and the parishioners love Jesus and serve God. Highly recommend.
Diane Nowakowski: Beautiful Parish! A place where Spirit and Truth reside. A Blessing for the Soul.
Maria Sauter: A truly beautiful parish, that I have been a part of my whole life. It's a very wonderful place where I can feel the holy spirit working within me. I know so many people there and it's like a second home to me. The worship music is so powerful, and most of my friends are on the teen music team, and it warms my heart to know how much they love God and how they want to help lead others to Christ.
mona cox: Beautiful church, friendly parishioners, and plenty of spacious seating.
Hubert Allen: Warm and friendly people who freely worship in faith.
Chaz Oid: Father Ed is the best!
Steven Bias: Thoroughly appreciated the time that the staff spent on preparing the site for my son's and daughter-in-law's wedding. I truly felt God's presence here, and my family left feeling spiritually uplifted.
Benedict VanderVeen: It is the people who really make or break any place. Christ the King is filled with people who truly desire to have Jesus as the center of their lives.
Patricia Ohearn: Enjoy participating in the virtual Mass on Sunday mornings.LOVE Fr. Ed's Homilies and the Choir!
Don Stokes: This is a beautiful place to worship the Lord and feel the Holy Spirit. The clergy and staff are so loving and supportive. Come and experience Christ the King; you will wonder why you waited so long. God Bless!
Bain Phillips: It's a great place, but if your not Christian, watch out, go to this church and you will probably become one.
Brenda Clough: Beautiful church!
Ana Adams: Love to see families at church with their children
Laron L Bean: Very beautiful house 🏠💒🎈🌄of the Lord to worship. and fellowship
m w: Pastor is not so friendly. Not so thankful.
Rose Lang: Provided the mass time we needed.

St. Mary Student Parish: what do users think?
Dora Rodríguez: Es una bendición tener misas en español agradezco a Dios por eso y a la gente que organiza estos sagrados misterios
Charles Tommasulo: So good to experience a Vatican II liturgy in the Diocese of Lansing. Much appreciated thanks to the Jesuits community. AMDG
Reinhard Wilmer: I love the community whenever I'm able to go there. The church is quite modern and does its best to support students and the community in Ann Arbor.
Shattering delusions: I submit to all church teachings and to those before and after me in all subjects I may know and not know or misunderstand. It's catholic, the only valid true faith. The priesthood and preists are the life fibers of Christ's sacred heart. To love preists means to lovingly, respectfully, patiently, modestly, help them in times of need even during guidance of cannon doctrinal teaching. My heart and prayers are with the preist(s) here as my mind tries to contemplate unchanging eternal fulfilled catholic doctrine. The mountian where Christ resides...The Roman Catholic Church's sacred mysterious tabernacle.Confession of gentle preists readily avalible by the mercy of God. Often times the community and preists are open to walk inns from catholics and show kindness to those who are genuine.Pray for the preists and love them respectfully, again, even during times of what may be doctrinal understanding "issues". God's love is Justice and such Justice is meek.I dont think Churches should have ratings. It's pretty strange and blasphoumous it feels. How can layman judge such matters let alone the House of God? Judging doctrinal corrections, yes, but ratings? Sad and silly. That's all I have to say of the current Parish.“Then repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” - Mathew 22:21
Bonnie Irvin: Everything is geared towards students and young professionals so if you're over 30 you probably won't feel like you fit in. Also it is very obviously liberal and politically outspoken. They used to have a good RCIA program. Now it's just okay, but it's still one of the better ones in the area.
Timothy Brewer: Good: outreach to students, work with refugees and minority communities, resources for LGBT+, unique mass schedule, communal areas to study or meet new peopleBad: the over-modernization of the mass and music, pretty uncomfortable seating, somewhat unpassionate priests
Will Johnson: I went here one Sunday because I was curious and am always up for more connections with young Catholics. The building itself looks to have been "updated" but is still fairly beautiful, especially the stained glass windows. However there seemed to be a lot of liturgical abuse. And the homily didn't seem to delivery the main point of the Gospel reading, but rather took a convoluted interpretation about the Sabbath. I understood it, but it didn't seem like what was meant to be transmitted.I am worried about this parishes orthodoxy and liturgical correctness.
Jay Rogers: This church does it right! They preach the Gospel of Christ, have amazing faith-filled community activities, and great incense =)
Davo: Was on a trip for business and this is where I managed to attend Mass :)

Ave Maria University Chapel at Dominos Farms: what do users think?
DrSilva Goncalves: Where I feel a great connection, healing and ‘joyfully waiting’ but also feeling His presence. Amen
Spencer Alcantara Productions: i hate it.i like it the way it was before as Domino's Pizza World Resource Center.
Susan Bright: This is a beautiful and intimate space for worshiping and participating in the holy Eucharist.
GemsInfoPress Services: The wonderful humble priests of the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary - OMM - are the regular daily mass celebrants. There are also visiting priests of other orders who celebrate or concelebrate with the Maronites. Most of the people who come for daily mass recognize WHO they are receiving during communion 😇
Margaret Acker: Beautiful, small chapel.
Mary Tendorf: Grateful, grateful, grateful for the 4 Masses during the week and ability to go to confession. The priests are so blessed.
Joe & Corinne MacDonald: Beautiful and intimate space for prayer, and worship of our creator.
Sparkle Pants: So many masses. Super friendly people. Just a great place.
Sue Webster: Wonderful place of worship. Always available when you need them due to the numerous times that they offer services this is so much appreciated in a busy world and you can always get support from Ave Maria Domino's farm chapel
Scott Wright (Scott Michael Wright): Holy Holy Holy
John Perrotta: Great place to seek God in the Mass. Weird sanctuary and seating arrangement thought. Love the confession times.
Beth White: such a wonderful mass and spiritual experience
Lucia Thomashefski: Peaceful...
Augustine Tabeling (W8AWT): Such a wonderful blessing to have this chapel in the midst of such an amazing office park!
David Frank: It's quiet there.
Stefan von Bülow: So many options for daily mass! Awesome
Bashar Kirma: Great experience
John Muczynski: I went to morning Mass here with two of my daughters! This is a nice little chapel. There was Eucharistic Adoration before Mass. After Mass I passed the line of people going to confession in order to enter the bookstore. On another day, I think I will look at the art hanging on the walls Domino's complex. I recommend visiting the chapel, even if you are not Catholic. Please like my review.
Arvaughn Gamble: I actually didn't visit this place but was at a nearby doctor's office. I often get these miscues but don't know if it's Maps or my phone.
John Hufford: We love this little community. Frequent masses and confessions! Wonderful and faithful priests, solid teaching, great art, devoted people. A great catholic bookstore just down the hall with classic and recent titles as well as artwork and devotionals. Often a deacon serving as well as a priest.
MaLyDe Too: One of my favorite places! Mass, Confessions, silent prayer time before the tabernacle. 💕

Old St. Patrick Catholic Church: what do users think?
Flo Brighton: Love OSP! It’s a beautiful parish with a more traditional feel. Fr. Tom is an excellent pastor, gentle in confession, and very reverent saying Mass. If you haven’t been to church in a while don’t be afraid to check OSP out!
Ray Zick: Small but vibrant parish community
Elmer Bisler: We enjoyed the fish fry. Food was excellent and portions perfect. Price was favorable good. Thank you.
Lucia Thomashefski: We attend Holy Mass there once a month. The Pastor and the parishioners are very welcoming, and the location is pastoral. Come see for yourselves.
Peter Roeder: Stunning little church in the middle of nowhere
shelly morse: My spouse and I were out for a ride on our mopeds and had a flat tire Sunday morning. Father Tom tried to repair it with fix a flat. When that didn't work invited us in for Sunday service while we waited for a friend with a truck. It is a beautiful church and it appears all are welcome.
John Coon: TLM every second Sunday of the month. Father from the seminary comes to say Mass. He is an excellent liturgist.
Rick O'Mahony: Great church. Really nice service.
Daniel McGee: Went to their Friday Fish fry and was quite impressed by the scale and quality of the meal. The only thing I would add is maybe a broiled fish option instead of just fried fish but if something is going right for 44 years I understand if they don't change it. Friendly volunteers as well.
Tim Ryan: Beautiful little country church
Bruce Geffen: Love the historic aspect of this place!
Stephen Grima: I love this parish. The priest is awesome and the people are friendly. The church is historic and beautifully maintained
Roger Tyras: A fairly quiet, out of the way location. Well maintained grounds. Plenty of parking room.
Scott Wright (Scott Michael Wright): Praised be Jesus Christ, this church community is rich in joy and mercy.
Maria H: Such a beautiful, traditional church.
Leo: Friendly folks. Fish fry was very good, affordable Friday family meal.
Gabrielle Nelson: Great traditional Catholic Church. Come visit
Mark Tremel: Peaceful. A beautiful and well maintained old church. We were here for for a chorale performance, not mass, so I can only really comment on the building as opposed to the community of the parishioners and the liturgants. It is so rare to find a church that is this old and this beautiful in a mostly rural setting. It looks like the kind of older church you see in a city or a town. They also have a wonderful looking cemetery across the road to respectfully explore next time.
John Perrotta: Very nice traditional feel! Beautiful sanctuary and lots of well placed Mass times.
David Frederick Baldner: Beautiful building - on the national historic register - and the nicest folks you could meet in the office! Know your Latin Gloria and Sanctus!
Diahann Pearson: Beautiful Church.

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School: what do users think?
Sofía Dussán: An amazing school with great people. The teachers are amazing.
Corina Eliason: Sending my daughter to Saint Francis was the best decision I could have ever made. She LOVES Saint Francis school. The teachers and staff are caring, compassionate people who know every child. They take time to make everyone feel welcome. Saint Francis school is more then just a school. It's a community, a family, where everyone is invested in the children. If you are considering Saint Francis, you can't go wrong. It's amazing!
Robert Kesto: I don't thing anyone should send their children to this school because the staff and administration likes to torture the children and are very inhuman. Today, the first of May, it was pouring rain and they had the children lined up outside in the rain and wouldn't let them come in. But that is nothing, they leave the children outside in the winter time in below zero temperatures. Its sad but true, Ive never seen any school that love to torture these beautiful children like St. Francis.
Greg Mowatt: Quality education! Good school to send your kids.
Tabitha Corum: This school don't care about the children. They leave the poor baby's out in the freezing cold in the morning. Won't let them in the school. And when I asked about this the father was very rude and didn't care about my concerns. Your better off taking your kids to public schools.
Kim Peoples: This is been our kids home away from home for the last 11 years, we love the education, leadership skills and relationships that they've gotten from St. Francis staff and families.
Jay Rogers: Great school that teaches little ones from a young age to love God & love neighbor so well! I never went here but I have been around here several times in my life and have met some of the staff. There is a crucified Jesus in the gym to remind people that His righteousness matters in the sports world too! They have great classrooms and a great music program too!
Joanne Cardone: We travelled all the way from Australia to Ann Arbor (for my husband's work) and were welcomed with open arms by Mrs Pritzel and the St. Francis school staff and community. My husband had selected the school after a visit to Ann Arbor and tours of schools in the area - he made a good choice. Our 3 girls thrived both academically and socially during their time in the Preschool and School and we made lifelong friends, all of which we will be eternally grateful for.
Margherita Fontana: When we moved to Ann Arbor 5 years ago we carefully researched and looked at public and private schools in the area. We chose St. Francis and have been very happy and satisfied with the choice. The teachers really care plus you have the advantage of a small community where everyone knows each other, the quality of the curriculum and faith development are outstanding, and the kids are very well prepared for high school. They also offer an after school program which is very convenient, plus many after school sports. In addition, their choir, drama and music programs are fantastic. My son even went to Rome to sing for the Pope, and they have been invited again for New Year 2015!
Amy Young: St. Francis was a wonderful experience for my son after having tried many other schools including public, private, and charter. They challenged him in every subject yet did so in a positive and supportive environment. I asked him how it was different from his other school experiences and he said: "You just know that the teachers care whether you do well. They don't let you get away with 'just getting by' because they know what you can do and take the time to make sure you do it."We didn't realize how great St. Francis is until he started high school at Catholic Central, a school known for its challenging academics. He felt very prepared for the challenges of CC because of the strong academics at St. Francis. Many times he has come home from CC and said that he was one of the few students in the class who already know how to do an assignment because Sister Rebecca/Ms. Dugger/Ms. Shurmur already showed him how in 8th grade. It really gave him confidence as a Freshman - a time when you really need it!
Glenn Gottfried: Choosing to send my children to St. Francis in lieu of one of Ann Arbor's public schools really came down to a question of the integration of faith and values into the everyday activities in the classroom. The students at St. Francis attend Mass regularly, pray daily, and even have Eucharistic Adoration periodically. Those opportunities are used to strengthen the sense of community and individual responsibility and to offer perspective on how God can be a part of everything they do.In addition, the inclusion of art, music (choir, strings, band...), drama, instruction in cursive writing, and a physical education element are all tough increasingly tough to find in many other schools. They even still do old-fashioned sentence diagramming! Middle schoolers have the use of tablets and the faculty works with researchers at UM and Eastern Michigan to integrate new teaching techniques into the classroom on an ongoing basis. Opportunities like Science Olympiad, Scouts, Girls on the Run, and no-cut sports are also available. This set of faculty and staff are absolutely first-rate: my family is absolutely thrilled with the intellectual, spiritual, and moral growth that this community fosters!
Karen McKeown: I have had 2 kids through St. Francis and it was/is a great fit for both. It has strong individually adapted learning and academics, good technology use, good choices of electives offered in the upper grades, outstanding arts, sports, and music programs - plus a caring community of parents, educators and church and school leadership. Tuition is supported by the church and parent donations and the school's educational trust fund and fund raisers and new options for aide are available too - making it not only a great choice, but a great value.

St Thomas the Apostle Catholic School: what do users think?
Jane Reimer: My son is in the 3 year old preschool room at St. Thomas and I have been thrilled with his care and education so far. The preschool teacher is experienced, kind, and understanding and the class size is small. I love that the 3 year olds go to the "atrium" (a special room in the church with quiet learning stations that focus on an aspect of the faith from the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd) once a week. Every day, prayers are said in the morning announcements and the instruction is always Christ-centered. We had looked into other preschools in the area and St. Thomas' tuition was comparable, even for an out-of-parish family.
Brian Kennedy: 150 years of consistent faith filled education
Steve Evans: Beautiful little church with nice stained glass windows
John A. Goetz: When we moved to Michigan we had looked into around 4 different schools for our children. St Thomas was a great fit for logistical reasons, it had programs for our 3 year old daughter and was incredibly close to central campus where my wife works. What we didn't expect was how great it's been for our children to transition into their new state. It has a very small town feel where even the kids in middle school know the kindergartners. It strikes a wonderful balance between faith and academics where the students feel engaged in both without feeling overwhelmed by either. The teachers and staff are wonderful and once again know each child regardless of grade and know their families. The academics are strong and the school offers many programs like strings, theater and sports teams that are not available many other places. It continues to be an incredible place where our children feel confident and learn so much more than what is simply in books.
Connie Rasmussen Dalton: AMAZING!
Alisa Cox: My child has attended St Thomas for 3 years. It is more than a school; it's a family. I couldn't imagine sending my child anywhere else.
Cristen Willer: My kids have been at St. Thomas for the last 8 years. I LOVE this school. My kids' education is challenging, tailored to their learning level, and the teachers are top notch (kind, dedicated and thoughtful). Also, you could not find a better preschool in Ann Arbor, it's truly amazing. The community feeling is wonderful and my kids have lovely friends (as do I) thanks to the school. A+
Anissa Majer: Being a part of the St. Thomas School community is like being part of a large extended family. Established in 1868 and located in the historic Kerrytown area of downtown Ann Arbor, St. Thomas the Apostle is rich in history and tradition. The school offers a faith based education with high academic standards. Mass is attended each week with complete student participation. Each morning as children arrive for school, the principal greets each child by name and the office staff and faculty treat the students as if they were their own children. I can’t imagine sending my children anywhere else
Sandra Verissimo: St. Thomas is like an extension of your family. My daughter goes there since pre-school and we have absolutely nothing negative to say about the school. Great program, great staff, excellent teachers. The doors are well monitored to make sure no strangers can get into the building.I recommend to everyone!!!
Yarimar Cherney: My oldest child started attending St. Thomas just over two years ago. Since that time I've been so pleased with the positive changes that have been made in both the curriculum and the school's faith-based approach to learning. As a school, the children attend mass and adoration once a week and they just started a new program to teach the children virtue. It is also fun to be around parents who are so involved with their children's school. My younger son just started attending this year and I just asked him what he liked about school. He answered "Everything!" :)
Jamie Miller: We love St. Thomas!! Excellent academic/faith filled environment!
Gary Sweier: Saint Thomas Catholic school offers a challenging curriculum in a well disciplined and structured environment. Best part though are the teachers and staff who go above and beyond to work with each child to make their learning and religious experience happy, challenging and fulfilling. Just a great school!
Cynthia Rutherford: Our boys have been at St. Thomas School for three years now and we love being part of the community here! The staff is WONDERFUL and the curriculum is Christ-centered. Best school ever!
