Dr Sweep: what do users think?
nicole steenwyk: I ignored the reviews and thought I would give them a try. The guys who came out for quotes and to fix were very pleasant. They then came to fix our chimney and said it was too big and they had to order special parts, which was fine. I then got a call from a lady on the work they did do and the payment. I told her to call me after work one day so I could pay with checks and not pay their fee. She proceeded to call me every day at work for 5+ days straight. I paid and asked about the parts and when they would come out or if I should call another company. She said they called around and to give them a day to let me know. That was about 2 months ago and I still have not heard from them… lol so people are not joking about their lack of follow up on here. I also don’t believe they had many intentions of fixing it the way they were after me for the small payment.
Scott kittle: This was so much more then a clean. I have never owned a fireplace and Rob spent time explaining how it work how to safely use it. He also gave me ideas of items I will need to take care of it properly. I will never even consider calling anyone else!
Lucy Lemmons: Very unprofessional. After coming out to give me an estimate on chimmney, technican said he'd email the quote. Never did. I called their office and they said they'd get in touch with tech and have them call me. Never happened. I called them after a 2 days they answered the phone, then hung up. Never heard from them again. You won't have to twist my arm to take my business somewhere else.
Nadia Sutton: Dr. Sweep came out and told us (1) that "before he even looks at it he knows we have major issues" and (2) that we had terrible cracks in our flue lining and that it would likely cost us thousands of dollars to fix. When I requested the pictures I paid for of the inside of the chimney so I could discuss with a mason, I was not provided with the pictures, an estimate, or any response at at all. Subsequently we had a very experienced masonry expert come out and tell us that the chimney was completely safe-- we had so much brick that any imperfections in the flue lining were basically irrelevant. Based on this experience it seems Dr. Sweep is employing people who have only been trained to clean and see superficial issues but have little or no understanding of masonry.
Brett Steudle: Have used the Canton team at multiple homes in Plymouth and have been very happy with them. Every person that has come to estimate or work on my homes has been very knowledgeable, transparent, and friendly (including to my 85 pound pit bull). Will use them again if I need any work done on my fireplace in the future.
Justin Walukonis: Overpriced and underperforming. What a scam of a company. Paid them over $3000 to work on my chimney. Still having a water leak. The owner John, won’t return my phone calls. The office staff is rude and ignorant.
presley shiminski: At first the services was great, and they were able to come out the same week to clean the chimney of my new home. The chimney was cleaned for $200.00, however they said there was buildup still present, so they would send me pictures as well as an estimate. I waited two days for a follow up, and then texted asking for an update. I was told Ryan would send over the information soon, however that was a week ago and I have heard nothing. Very poor accountability, and I will be finding a new company to finish the work.
Remi Gaubert: My experience started off great with a chimney cleaning and inspection. The employee arrived on time and gave me a run down, explaining I need some repairs. After a few weeks of not receiving the inspection report or quote for repairs, I called. Was told they would address it, yet I never received anything. It's now been over a month and no one will answer or return my calls. $200 wasted. Do not recommend
belle runyon: Do not call these guys they do not care about the customer. There customer service is really bad. Unless they follow through I will not change this
Jacqui Jacobs: I called for an appointment and waitedthree weeks until one was available(11/1) I received a confirmation text the Friday before the appointment. I waited all day and heard nothing- I had a funny feeling and started calling the office around 2pm no one picked up until 4:40. By then my whole day was wasted, I was on the books but they couldn’t get ahold of my tech. I never heard from him at all. I tried to reschedule and the rep stated her computer crashed and someone would call me in 30 mins. I am still waiting on that call. I hope they can make this right, I waited so long for an appointment and it’s right before I need to use my fireplace…I
Margaret Hasler: I had a small brick repair job and called Dr Sweep. They arranged a visit for an estimate, completely explained what would be done and the cost.I was able to schedule the work within a short timeframe.Jason did an outstanding job of repairing my brick wall. He was very professional, explaining what he was doing and answering all my questions. He cleaned up completely and the work was perfect. You would never know there had been a problem.I would recommend Jason and Dr Sweep without reservation.
Dana Duke: We had a poor experience with this company. After a no call/no show, they replaced the fireplace walls. They cracked after the second fire. They came out and fixed it for free a few days later. Then it cracked again. I reached out to them twice and never got a response back. Would not recommend.
Kevin Lubrano: They came to our house because our chase cover was rusted and we needed a new chase cover and chimney cap. Their estimate was reasonable so we went with them. They also threw in a discounted chimney sweep. After the install of the cover and new cap, the young man who was installing it and who performed the cleaning told us there was "crimping" in our chimney liner, and we needed to get it looked at by his supervisor and that it could be dangerous. When the supervisor came to do the inspection, he spent maybe less than a minute looking up the liner from the fireplace. He told us there was crimping and the liner had become unattached from the fireplace and it could not be repaired unless we wanted to spend an exorbitant amount to take apart our chimney and install a new liner from the outside--he seemed to be making up the figure to insure I did not go this route (he also made sure to point out they would not repair the siding when they did this and we would need to hire another company to reinstall the siding). He also told me that if we used the fireplace we would risk burning our house down. He then began his sales pitch on a gas insert. I listened and took his quote but something felt off. It was even more apparent something was amiss when they called me multiple times over the next few weeks pressuring me to go with them on the gas insert. I finally asked that they stop calling, and I emailed the manager and told him we needed more time. It took us a year to get a second opinion due to COVID but when we did, we got a very different story. The liner was crimped, but was easily repaired in less than an hour. We also were informed that our chimney was very dirty. We had not burned any wood since the last cleaning by Dr. Sweep because they told us it was dangerous, so clearly they either did not even clean our chimney when they came out or did a really bad job. We bought our house because we loved the fireplace in our family room and they almost took that away from us just to make a buck.
Dean Beaudoin: After a text and email confirmation the day before, he was a NO SHOW. After waiting all morning for Jeremy, he didn't have the courtesy to text, call or email us that he wasn't coming. Received a phone call at the end of the day to find out he didn't know how to do the job anyway. It was a simple job, chimney cap and liner.
Stephanie Kieninger: Dr. Sweep is fantastic. Scheduling an appointment was super quick and easy, and the tech who performed the cleaning and inspection on our chimney, Aaron, was amazing! He was super thorough, kind and explained everything he had done and found in detail. We will definitely use Dr. Sweep again in the future and will recommend them to everyone in the area. Thank you Aaron!
Tom Eaton: We had a great experience with Dr Sweep from start to finish. Scheduling an appointment during the busy season was fast and easy, the team called the day b before to see if they could come in the morning vs afternoon, when they showed up they were friendly and used COVID precautions by default. We were scheduled for a fireplace and flue cleaning but they quickly determined that we needed to have the unit replaced and walked me through the multiple reasons why. They did a quote on the fly and one I approved they completed the flue cleaning and installation (the unit was on the truck already). Everything was completed in about 30 minutes. 5 year warranty out of the box. Highly recommend!
Catherine Allen-West: Adam has been to my house twice now during these strange COVID times. He patiently, painstakingly installed a new fireplace and with the same care walked me through every aspect of its use until I was confident. The result is a warm, cozy house and a family who loves snuggling in the living room. Adam goes above and beyond to ensure and maintain your satisfaction. His expertise and assurance mean a LOT to me- a mom with three little ones running around. Adam is the man to fulfill all your roaring fireplace dreams!
C. Ann: Our call was promptly returned by Marisa. We inquired about gas fireplace cleaning/inspection and scheduled appt for service. Due to special circumstances we needed to have someone leave work to meet tech at our home. Marisa was able correlate this so we knew time tech would arrive. Our tech, AJ, called ahead and arrived at stated time, was Covid compliant and put shoe coverings on before entering house. He removed logs, thoroughly inspected fireplace, cleaned firebox, cleaned logs, replaced sand, meticulously arranged logs, then lit fireplace when finished. He answered all concerns and questions. Cleaned up thoroughly after job. This was our first time having our fireplace serviced and we were extremely impressed from start to finish. We called 3 companies for quotes. We understand this is busiest time of year for this type of service, however, Dr Sweep was ONLY company to return call. From reading other reviews, prices appear to be about same for this service. $200 for a great cleaning, EXCELLENT customer care and peace of mind knowing our fireplace is safely operating was well worth it....Oh - I should add.... This was the first time in 30 yrs this fireplace was professionally serviced. It has never looked and operated better. Thanks again to Marisa and AJ for their assistance with our scheduling needs and a job that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended Dr Sweep!!
Joel Pantino: I had a gas fireplace that no longer turns on fire on the burner. Only the pilot was working so I called this company to schedule an appointment back in August. It takes 3 weeks for them to be able to come to my home and diagnose the problem. Finally the tech arrived and completed his diagnosis of the problem. He told me I need a new gas valve since it's broken and does not transmit current. I was charged $99 and gave me an estimate of $400 to fix it. I was informed that the office will contact me and schedule an appointment. I waited for 2 weeks and never heard so I decided to check the electrical current again and found out that it was only a bad electrical switch on the wall to turn it on/off. I used my old extra wall light switch and replaced it and the fireplace was working again.
Domenic Policicchio III: I purchased a home in 8/2019. Prior to purchasing the home, the inspection confirmed major issues with my chimney. The original homeowner happened to be my parents neighbor and life long friends of ours for over 40 years. They reached out to Dr. Sweep to inspect and correct any safety issues. The overall bill was not cheap, but necessary in order to maintain a safe home. After Dr. Sweep inspected and “corrected” any safety issues, we trusted that they did their job. After I purchased the home the house sat vacant for almost a year. Once I settled in to the home I wanted to make sure everything was indeed safe. My family is in construction and builds homes. We’ve been building homes for over 50 years. One of our contracts recommended CJW & Associates Chimney Sweep to look over Dr. Sweep’s work. It’s very sad what a piss poor and unprofessional job Dr. Sweep has done. They did not inform the original owners of the firebox and smoke chamber issues. Both of these could have caused major structural damage if there was a fire lit. Additionally, Dr. Chimney performed a heat shield cerfractory flue sealant to inside joints between flue tiles. When CJW came out to inspect my chimney they took pictures of Dr. Sweep’s work which shows several inconsistencies and cracks that were not fixed correctly. Dr. Sweep charged the original owner (a widowed 70 year old woman) $2,775. They use a heat shield vs fireguard treatment. Fireguard is a far superior product and lasts much longer than heat shield. CJW would charge $1,300 for the exact same service, but would use fireguard which is a much better product.I reached out to Dr. Sweep to try and resolve the issue. A customer service agent confirmed that the individual who did the work is no longer with the company. She asked me to send her the images of the cracks, inconsistencies, and safety issues. Which I complied. After several emails and broken promises back and forth, I received an email back today (12/8/20) that the owner that indicated “We are done here and you may contact an attorney if needed. Do not contact our office.”Not only does this company target and rip off the elderly, not only do they lie to their customers, but they are NOT safe, and they do not stand by their work. Let alone they are poor business folks. If anyone is interested in reviewing my email chains, reviewing the pictures of their work, and reviewing inspection results post Dr. Sweep’s work - please let me know. The original home owner and I are trying to reason with Dr. Sweep, but if they don’t comply we will be pursing legal options and we will be contacting media, LARA, State of Michigan, and the BBB.Please get a second opinion before trusting these people. Don’t just take it from me, feel free to connect with the original home owner who is just as surprised and disgusted as I am. Looking forward to trying to resolve this, but it’s taking time that I really don’t have.
Kathy Walker: Very professional and courteous! Adam explained the problems and solutions to the problem that I had. Would definitely recommend their services!

Professional Chimney Service of Michigan: what do users think?
Mike Jor: Critical:Responsiveness
Heather Paciorek: DO NOT HIRE THEM - SCAM!!We originally hired them to do some brick work and they collected a deposit from us, the weather turned and we wanted our deposit back. The owner James Plante stopped answering our calls, emails and texts. We took him to small claims court to try and get our money back and he still isn't responding. He didn't even have the decency to show up to the court hearings. We're now out almost $2,000 from this sham of a company.Again, do NOT hire them. They will scam you.
Michael Baker: Critical:Professionalism,Punctuality,ResponsivenessWaited for this company to show for over two hours. I gave an extra star because they did end up calling an hour after the end of the appointment window. Would have been nice to get a call prior
Samir: They work with subcontractors that would take your money as down payment and would not even do the job. Then you have to run after your money.Service:Chimney repair restoration
Nathan Donofrio: I am a returning customer and attempted to schedule a chimney cleaning for this year. I was originally scheduled for 11-1 this past saturday. No call no show. I had to contact them and they said they were running late and asked to move my time to 2-4 same day. Again, no call no show. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, i recontacted them and allowed them to reschedule for today. Wouldn't you know, they are a no call no show. I would not recommend them to anyone after this past experience. I wasted 2 days waiting for them to provide their service. Poor customer service.Services:Chimney cleaning,Chimney repair restoration
Dana Randall Books: Originally, I thought this would be my go to company for chimney sweeping and other fireplace maintenance needs as I have used them in the past. The customer service rep that answers the phone to schedule appointments is friendly and helpful and I was given a relatively soon appointment. However, after having a no call/no show experience (for my first appointment that was originally scheduled- 2 weeks ago), and then receiving a call the day of my rescheduled appointment on Monday October 12th) to hear that the technician was stuck at another job and may not make it for my scheduled appointment time I am now unfortunately fed up. I never received a call that day which I was promised, no one came out and no one has called since to follow up with me. It has now been 4 days. I am disappointed and now have to find another company that can sweep my chimney and install a gas log set in the other. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company.
Pat sayjack: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueThey did a great job and amazing serviceService:Chimney repair restoration
J Rogers: The work is top-notch and if it weren't for having to chase down the estimator to answer questions and the erratic office staff assistance I would have gave them a solid 5 stars. However the technicians Rob and Wes were professional from start to finish. If they saw something extra that needed to be fixed that wasn't part of their planned work they went ahead and did it so the whole structure looked great. They repaired my front porch, 2 chimneys and 2 flower boxes as well as tuck-pointing many exterior areas. They were great, calm and courteous. I just left them alone as they worked and they surprised me with great results and when they finished everything was cleaned up to my satisfaction. I wish I had more for them to do!Listen to their suggestions. They want your project to look as good as you do. They don't cut corners!
Sat Ray: Short Version:Did a partial demo , trashed our yard/roof/gutters and no show with a 50% deposit since Jan 2020. (see pictures)Long Version :We had hired “Professional chimney services of michigan” in Jan to clean our chimney based on good reviews on homeadvisor. Post cleaning we were told that the chimney was in bad shape and needed a rebuild from roof onwards. We were instantly given a quote of $1990 by James (owner) to which we agreed and James came over the same week to collect a 50% check deposit. The start of the build got delayed due to bad weather and covid which was completely understandable. Last week my wife got a phone call from the owner of the business apologizing for the delay and that they would like to start the build this Fri (demo) and Sat(build) to which we agreed (they confirmed they were authorized to work).Fri James and 1 crew shows up late during the end of the day and immediately starts taking down the chimney . As they are taking it down James starts making statements like this is a $6000 build and he is not sure why its under quoted. We pointed out that he was the one who quoted this build and came to our house twice (sweep& collect check) he quickly agreed to that and said he will take care of us. After demolishing 1/3 of the chimney they let me know that they will return on Saturday with a larger crew to demo the rest and clean the debris.Sat no one shows up. After several tries to reach by phone he picks up and tells my wife that his co-workers dad passed away so he doesn’t have the crew but he will show up between 1-2:00. After a no show at 3:00 we called him and this time James says that we were under quoted ,my wife pointed out that he was the one who quoted it and he should not have started the demo if he had no intention of doing the job thats when he starts yelling “you should be thanking god we were out there doing your job” . “We tore down the chimney so no one else has to” . “There is a pandemic out there we shouldn’t be at your home “  and hung up .(Note :  James was the one who called us to setup the appointment. My wife had asked if they were allowed to work and James confirmed that they have all the paperwork & could work).Since then he is not picking up our calls. We have a chimney that is partially demolished and frankly unsafe. They left it open to the elements did not even bother to cover it with a tarp. Our yard is trashed with debris and we are out on $990.If you must hire them :1. Do not hire for any big jobs like a chimney rebuild they simply do not have the skills , tools or resources.2. Be prepared for delayed arrivals (3-4 hrs/days) and no phone calls to let you know.3. You will not be able to reach them on phone. Will not pickup and will go to voicemail which is always full (also mentioned by other reviewers).4. Be prepared to listen to wishy washy excuses like his mobile phone being lost / online system locking him out ....etc.5. Most importantly do not provide a 50% deposit in advance that they will ask, then you are at their mercy. In this time of need the last thing I wanted to do is write a negative review about a small business. But leaving a customer like that is just unacceptable. Hopefully other people learn from my experience and deal with this company cautiously.
Tay Miller: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe had two businesses come out and service our chimney and the best service was professional chimney service of Michigan. All of the other companies end up being bad and this company did a amazing job. I will refer to everyone .
james plante: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueVery good service and great value for your money. You won't go wrong with this company
Kay Smith: Positive:Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueGreat company ! Great Prices! Perfect work! Thank you Pro Chimney!
Rob Henderson: Positive:Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValuePro chimney is extremely professional and does extremely well work. Will use them for the future absolutely! Plus prices are very reasonable!
Bobby Johnson: Came out and gave me an estimate and work date to repair a section of exterior wall.On the day "James" was to arrive, I had to contact them because I hadn't heard from anyone. They showed up around 4pm on Saturday evening (possibly to avoid city inspectors driving by?)and returned on Sunday evening. The bricks were not cleaned afterwards as promised, and the caulking is sloppy. Attempts to contact have been unsuccessful. For the work done it I think they are overpriced. Definitely would not use again or recommend.
Bex Christlieb: James from the Plymouth location was amazing. He explained what we needed and gave us a super fair price! They were prompt and answered all our questions. The work they did restoring our chimney was perfect and we are super pleased!! It has been over a week and I have been asking for the inspection report and receipt. I was emailed a receipt on the day of service but it was not complete. I have emailed twice asking and no response! When they wanted our money they responded in minutes!!! So office management is no good but I still say they did good work.
Srinivas MD: Professional contractors, they provided chimney case replacement services at affordable cost.
Steven White: These guys are great. Made an appointment for the same week I called & they showed up on time. They were extremely efficient and friendly! Very affordable! (Best quote around)
Steve Pupa: Didn't use them
Joe Shemke: Couldn't get to the job. Had "James" come out on a Saturday to give us a quote, and told him we would get back to him by Tuesday morning, which we did. I called and left a voicemail, and then my wife called twice that same day and left voicemails. No return phone call. My wife then called again Wednesday, and was lucky enough to catch the secretary, who then scheduled "James" to come out Wednesday evening to take a deposit for the job and, hopefully, to put us on the schedule. I questioned "James" when he arrived, asking about the unreturned phone calls. His explanation was that some program or system "went down" Monday, and that many phone calls weren't returned. Not sure what the downed system had to do with not returning our calls. "James" then became defensive, even though the questions were asked in a completely civil tone, and with the perfectly legitimate concern that his failure to respond to our calls casts doubts on the capabilities of the company to do the work. Instead of assuring me that was not the case, and instead of being truthful about failing to return the calls, "James" became defensive and said that he didn't want to do this, or didn't feel good about doing this job, because I would find something wrong. What nonsense. Just another example of a kid who can't take responsibility for himself, let alone a business activity. Instead of apologizing for the no return call, and assuring me that the job would be executed with the utmost technical proficiency and professional care, he walks out the door. As he was leaving, I said I was about to hand over $2000 for a deposit, and wanted to be sure the job would be done, and done properly. "James'" response: "I handle a million dollar a year business, I'm not worried about $2000." Of course, you aren't, James, because its not your money, it's mine. He forfeited a $3700 job, but worse, he showed indifference and disrespect over my concern about my deposit. This is not someone you'd want to cover your back in a bad situation. As a result, he loses a $3700 job (not insignificant from the standpoint of just what one customer was willing to pay). How can a business concern thrive on a model failing to take into account it's customers' concerns? I'd recommend you save your money and go elsewhere.
Sterling Anthony: They started weeks after promised start date. Further delays happened due to workmen not showing up. Various corrections were never made, even after multiple requests by me and promises by them. I will never do business with them again,
Tara Rase: We used this service and they missed their first appointment to do the work. Then they came back and did part of the work but charged us the full amount. They said they would return to do the weather proofing. It was $400 and they haven't come back and their inbox is always full when we try to call to see why they haven't finished the service. Next step we will report to BBB.

Chim Chimney Master Masonry Inc: what do users think?
Holly McNabb: This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a service. It's impossible to get a hold of them, they constantly miss appointments and don't even call to reschedule. After many hours of work on my part to get them to come to the house they left the work site trashed. And at the end of the day they never even fixed the problem I hired them to fix!
Israel Garcia: Don’t do business with this business. If you want something done right and fast then this place is not the right place
Fran Parker: Jon Cerrito conned me by saying job was complete and later discovered from guy who cleans my gutter that it was not done. It took a long time to get him to come back to supposedly do the job. It was shoddily done and now discovered it was cracked and water would get in. I had to get it done again. I tried to contact him and no response. Pavers Sean did also came apart and had to hire someone else to get it right. I was scammed as a senior and a woman.
Brieann Marie: No call, no show after waiting 3 hours. Tried to call the office and no one answers or returns messages. I wouldnt waste your time
Mel Kendziorski: Had a very poor experience with Chim Chimney. The first guy that came to clean my chimney suggested I get it repaired before spending money on cleaning which I agreed. He was honest with me and has quit since. Made a follow up appointment with Debbie a couple weeks later and the person never showed up to clean. Called her again and she lined up a cleaning for the next week and once again, he never showed up. On both occasions when I called Debbie to see what's going on, she stated I can't get a hold of my guys to see why they aren't showing up. It appears the guys never got back with her because she never called to let me know why they didn't show up or to reschedule. She never returned my calls or text. I want to thank the inept people involved at Chim Chimney because I went out and spent $60.00 on the tools to do it myself. I found it to be very simple to do and probably did a better job than Chim Chimney. I strongly suggest not using Chim Chimney because of the poor customer service and lack of service.
Shay Gennings: I booked an appointment, no one called and no one showed up. When called back to inform them, they apologized and rescheduled me. I called the day before my second appointment to confirm and was assured someone would be out between 5:00 - 6:00 the following day. The day of the appointment I called at 5:20 to see if someone was coming. The secretary told me she did not know and was unable to reach the person that was to be coming. She said she would call me back. No one showed and no one called back.
Shelia: If I could give him zero stars I would. You came to a home we want to purchase and walked around took a picture from the ground no camera no interior inspection. Didn't give us a chance to ask you question. It seemed like you was in too much of a hurry to go golfing to do your job,but you made sure to get payment.Do not waste your time and money and use this guy you will be upset and out of money . Get someone else. Remember if they can come right away their not worth it.
Farid Luna: I asked this company to fix a leak and they charged me what they wanted, but they didn't fixed the problem. On the first visit they estimated in 20 seconds or so, I thought he had all the experience in the world but apparently not. When they fixed what they stated on the estimate, they didn't caulk all around (which was very obvious job needed to be done), because it was not in the estimate. So they didn't fixed it. Now I am calling to the office and they do not take my calls, frustrating. When I called them initially, I was expecting someone to come and fix it, I don't need them to do what a paper says but to get it fixed.
Louis Schimmel: These guys are just awful rip off artists. Can't even describe how bad they were. One star is too high a rating.Service:Chimney repair restoration
Jeannie Fledderjohn: The first person came out to give us a quote for some chimney work. We decided to move forward with a cleaning. We paid upfront. Two no call, no shows. The third time they showed up and said they couldn't do the cleaning because other things were wrong (never mentioned). Debbie at the office refuses to respond to our requests for refund. Shame on me for not looking at these horrible reviews prior to writing a check.
JD Green: Nice people and arrived when they said they would however the quality of the repair is severely lacking. It took me standing there constantly to ensure what I wanted got done, had to have them remove the cement cap after it began cracking only three days after it was laid and after only a month after job completion, the mortar joints that were repaired are beginning to crack again. Job site cleanup was poor and grass was damaged from brick cleaning agent. I wasn't going to submit any reviews but after I saw the mortar joints cracking already, I feel an honest review is warranted.Service:Chimney repair restoration
Brad Sova: Set up an appointment. No one called or showed up for the appointment window. Called office, left a message with no response. A day latter someone called wanting to set up an appointment.
John Dixon (Artist): Recieved a judgement againt them for my deposit of $850. The owner went running out of the court so I could not ask him for a check. They are theives, it's that simple. He's really living up to his MAGA hat!
World Traveler: It's ok I guess
Mr-Awesome Austin: Very rude service I told the guy to leave never want them anywhere near my house again.
A Robi: Chim Chimnee did great work for me, I had a tree hit my chimney after a storm and knock down several rows a brick and break my crown in half and they got out right away and gave me a reasonable estimate and also fixed it the very same day. The office was great and Holland was awesome and does beautiful masonry work. Thanks again guys!!
Louie Lossia: Good work, but jobs take a while to finish
Deborah Cerrito: They did a great job on rebuilding my chimney at a very reasonable price. They were neat and clean and their prices were fair. I would recommend Chim CHIMNEE to anyone that needs chimney repair.
Jon Cerrito: Chim Chimney came out to my house to clean my chimney and do a 34 coarse rebuild. They did a great job and showed up on time. They were real careful and tarped my new roof before they started and didn’t leave a mess. I would recommend them to anyone that needs chimney repairs or chimney cleaning. Their prices were fair too.
Jack Dawson: Chim Chimnee did a total rebuild at my house on my 2 chimneys. I got 5 bids and they were not the lowest or the highest. They were in the middle. They came out promptly for an initial estimate and I was totally convinced they knew what they were talking about. I felt very comfortable with the owner. He was a real knowledgeable chimney guy. He took his time and explained every detail of the job. I was sold. His guys came out 2 days later and they were master masons with over 25 years of experience. They rebuilt both chimneys from the roofline and did a great job. I’m an engineer and I could see their mortar joints were perfect. The chimney was straight. They kept the job site clean and neat as promised. And both chimneys looked better than new. My wife and me were extremely happy with their work and their clean up after they finished the job. We are extremely satisfied with their work and I would recommend them to anyone looking for chimney repairs. If you need chimney work hire Chim Chimnee Master masonry. They do great work.Great job guysJackBloomfield Hills
Gary Lijewski: Awful job. Did not last for 2 years. Wish I had hired a real mason to do my job. Never hire this company.

Pat Castelli: Outstanding job. Called them and they were available same day.
Kevin English: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,ResponsivenessWe were fortunate to luck into a cancellation the same day we called! Brandon was great!
R C: Critical:PunctualityDidn't show-up and didn't return my call asking what happened.
Bob Easterbrook: Brandon was very professional, got my chimney cleaned in nice order and offered a lot of technical assistance with my current fireplace insert and planned chimney liner. I would definitely recommend Wee Sweep to a friend!
Travis Gileski: They never answer the phone. I've called 4 different times with no answer and I went with someone else
Deborah Nelson: Want an honest and knowledgeable job done on your chimney? Call Wee Sweep! We weren’t sure what shape our chimney was in but thought it probably needed a cleaning. When owner Brandon took a look he said we were in good shape and would not need a sweep that day. How nice! We asked that he check the exterior and he immediately saw that we were without a chimney cap. We knew we’d need one and he was prepared with parts on the truck. He had it installed in no time and we are good to enjoy the fireplace!A professional and positive experience all around. We will use Wee Sweep for future cleaning and repairs.Thank You Brandon!

Adam Lucier: Services:Chimney inspections,Chimney cleaning
Kara Yermak: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWhat a wonderful company! I called and they immediately got me in. I was worried because it's before the Christmas holiday and several people might have the same idea. He came right on time, was friendly, and professional.Services:Chimney inspections,Chimney cleaning
Kayla Parker: Honestly the best company I've ever dealt with for anything! Firstly the initial conversation to set up an appointment was like talking with a family friend, Ray's wife Marie was so sweet. She took her time making sure she had every detail for our appointment. Even called multiple times to confirm, which I loved because previously we had two companies who never showed. When Ray arrived he got straight to the point and was so honest with me and my husband. It turned out we didn't need any of the work done that the previous companies told us we would need. He even shared tricks and tips with us for maintaining our fireplace. I highly recommend them for any of your chimney/ fireplace work. Very professional and just all around great guy.Service:Chimney inspections
Steve Sweeting: Ray is a thief!! He came to do a cleaning and the cleaning was only supposed to be $165. He said he wouldn't do it because there is an insert and if he did do the cleaning it would be $265. Then he said i need a new lining and it would be $3000. Brian at London fog said thieves try to sell linings for $3000. And he only charges $1600. Then he charged me $140 for shinning a flash light up the chimney. He was here less than 2 minutes. I told him that was outrageous and he started swearing at me calling me all kinds of names. The most unprofessional person I ever dealt with. I gave him $100 for his trip and told him to get lost!! And of course he cust me out alot more...
Henry Peter: He was fantastic, really knowledgeable, keen to share, pleasant to deal with, left no mess - everything you would want from a chimney cleaner, plus cheaper than everyone else and with better availability. Recommend highly.
Lisa Masheff: Service:Chimney cleaningPositive:Professionalism
Patricia Drake: I thought long and hard about whether or not to review. Everyone who hears this story tells me to review. I was having a problem with soot and I have gas logs. The very friendly wife of the owner confirmed I could get soot from gas logs and scheduled an appointment for cleaning. The owner of the company, who is in his 70s, (maybe it’s time to retire) came out and took one look. He said he would not touch them and referred me to his son’s company to have the logs cleaned. He did not touch my fireplace which I had wanted him to clean. He did not offer to return to clean the fireplace once I had the gas logs serviced. He called his son and inferred that my gas logs were cheap (at a price tag of $1500 - they are not cheap). He charged me $130 in cash and insulted my general cleaning of my house claiming he thought he saw a cobweb ( which was soot on a corner of the ceiling - a problem I was trying to remedy by having him clean the fireplace and then getting the room painted). As he prepared to walk away with my money in his pocket he told me I could clean my own fireplace brick with Dow Bathroom cleaner and a wet/dry vacuum. How unprofessional! I cannot recommend this company.
Integrity Landscape, LLC: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRay was extremely helpful and professional. Did a very thorough job in inspecting and cleaning our fireplace. Gave us a lot of insightful tips on use of our unique fireplace system as it is almost 100 years old. Marie in the office was very personable and responsive. Highly recommend.Service:Chimney cleaning
Riley Stiglich: Service:Chimney cleaningPositive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Drago Santrach: Ray is a character from old school of honest business. A very nice experience.
Velda Garcia: Excellent service, did a quality job Cleaning and Inspecting my chimney while giving me great advice to ensure safe operation of fireplace. Thank you. Will use again next year
Brenton Thornton: Inspector and the inspection process was pretty straight forward.
Eileen Thompson: Reasonable priced and knowledgeable. The tech came out on time and was happy to teach me about fireplace ownership and upkeep. Did not try to upsell me and gave me recommendations for where to buy replacement parts on a budget. We will be regulars! Thank you again and can't wait to burn some logs in our clean as new fireplace!!
joy jano: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueSuch an interesting man and an old school approach but he knows his stuff! Came to clean my chimney and ended up fixing my front door too. He’s a hoot. Worth every penny. Won’t use anyone elseService:Chimney cleaning
Alex Parker: Called in and he came out the next morning. Inspected the chimney to make sure I wasn't going to burn the house down if it was used, cleaned it out and we were on our way. With it being COVID, he wore a mask the whole time in the house, and was in and out in about 40 minutes. Have used it a few times already and it's awesome. Thanks so much!Services:Chimney cleaning,Fire prevention
Ronald Colbert: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Valuethey do a great job super professional and easy too work with. i would give more stars if i couldService:Chimney cleaning
Sinclair H: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRay was great. Knowledgeable, professional and left everything as clean as when he arrived. Gave me several tips on items I could repair myself and save money rather than up sell. I will use him again in the future.Service:Chimney flue cleaning
Flora Dado: This guy is unbelievable, he came to our home for our schedule chimney cleaning. When we asked him to remove his boots or put shoes covers, he refused saying “OSHA permits him to.” Then he walked away! This isn’t a way to conduct business! He’s so rude and has no respect for people’s homes! I’m sorry you are not coming inside my house with you dirty boots and refuse to take them off! I even offered him bags to cover his shoes! Will not recommend!

All Point Stone: what do users think?
Kevin Gibson: I had an issue with my gas fireplace not starting. Wanted it running before the Christmas season. Gave All Point a call and Bill picked right up. No voice prompt. No leaving a message just to receive no call back. What's better is that he spent 30 minutes on the phone with me, walking me through the steps to try and get it started. We got it to work all over the phone and didn't charge me a dime. Could have charged me over 200 to come over and fix it. People like that are rare in this industry and will use this company for any work we need done.
Alexander Zeisberg: I was selling a home and needed some work to clean up the chimney. Bill was very communicative about the process and even scheduled around the unpredictable Michigan spring weather to get this done, which meant he and his team worked from late afternoon into the night to get what needed to get done on time for the sale of the home. He provided options and upfront pricing to fix the issues from a full dismantling of upper chimney and rebuilding to patching and repairing all noticeable defects he observed during his inspection. I choose to patch, repair and paint. So his team came out and provided an inspection, interior and exterior cleaning, brick patching, tucking the joints, brick painting, repairing and extending the liner and putting on a cap. It turned out great and I'm very appreciative of him and the clear communication. Also took PayPal which made paying him super easy. I included some before and after photos to show the great work. I would highly recommend. I also learned he has an insane amount of knowledge of brick and concrete and learned some tips and tricks for my own projects with concrete that were not related to the current job. Thank you Bill and your team for everything. You guys went above and beyond to get this done on time and it looks great. Thanks.
Early Bird: Need an expert? I recommend All Point Builders. When my gas fireplace wouldn’t come on, I called All Point and Mr. Martindale generously shared his time and expertise trouble shooting until my problem was solved. His knowledge and commitment to customer service saved me. I highly recommend All Points.Karen
Ph moamelkhalid: Positive:ProfessionalismHighly recommended. Mr. Martin was very nice and helpful. I called to make an appointment to fix my fireplace, he offered to teach me how to investigate any problems. He walk me through it by the phone until my problem solved. He didn’t even charge me for that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tate Mackenzie: Fixed our gas fireplace. Was very kind and helpful. Working great now!
R VIDO: I was having issues keeping my gas fireplace lit. I called All Points and spoke with Bill. Bill was extremely helpful; he advised me that fireplace issues can be really tricky. He walked me through a few things that could be wrong, and pointed me right to the wall switch. While we were on the phone, I was able to fix the problem with his help! He could have scheduled a time to come out and charge me for the service, but instead, he helped me over the phone for no cost. He’s not about the money, but about the service. I would gladly hire him!
Michael Hurley: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueIts a challenge to find diligent and honest contractors. Bill is amazing, clearly passionate about his work. Im very thrilled to have found All Point Stone/Builders! Ill 100% be using them for any future repairs/builds.
Timothy Kolbasa: Called for a quote on a chimney repair. Got a time the following week for him to come out. Called him near the end of the day, he said he would be out in a couple hours (? that would be night). Never showed up. Never got the quote. He never called me back. Not sure why he doesn't want business... but I found someone else to do it.
Amy Kukleva: Great work, asked for a fireplace inspection and unlike the other places they picked up the phone and were able to get us scheduled same day in an hour! He not only checked the fireplace but took the time to clean the chimney as well. Bill is a cool guy to talk to and mentioned some pretty amazing things he's done for previous customers (e.g. building a fireplace outdoors in the winter snow). I think this is one of those small underrated places that are a better value than the big companies, would recommend.
Chrissilyn Gay: They are an excellent team. They arrive on time, they get straight to work and when its clean-up time they leave my property the same way as to they arrived .
Norma Beauchamp: Positive:Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe contacted 3 service providers and Bill was the only one who responded promptly. They were efficient and kept the area clean. I would contact them again and also highly recommend them.
Alexander Munro: Positive:Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBill's been helping me with a complicated historic restoration project and has always been fair, honest and punctual.
Bill Chandler: Bill Martindale did an excellent and professional job revising our old fireplace so that it is now safe and does not leak fumes back into our family room. He did this on short notice in freezing weather.I would highly recommend him.Bill ChandlerAnn Arbor, MI
Zsa Zsa Girl: Great work & honest prices.
Laurn Taylor: My hot water boiler was turned off due to a safety issue. I needed the chimney sweep before repair could be made the next day. This man came to my house, inspected the chimney and swept it around 9:30 pm. He came to my rescue 👍.
Cynthia J: I requested a chimney repair estimate. After assessing my chimney, he tried to push his religion on me, with lots of smug judgments and assumptions about my character. Talked over anything I tried to say. Offensively self-righteous and clearly intolerant of other people's beliefs. (When he brought up religion, I said several times I didn't want to discuss it, but he wouldn't stop.) Don't call unless you want to be preached at.
Ted Emch: Technician came out and had a look at our gas fireplace. We paid a $130 fee for him to diagnose it, however after that I was able to repair the fireplace simply by thoroughly cleaning the thermocouple. After contacting Bill, he gladly refunded the $130 fee because a repair was no longer necessary. Bill did right by us - you can trust him to be honest.
Scott Burgess: Spoke with Bill in length about the project. He was a great guy to talk to...but actually coming out to do the job, not at all. He rescheduled twice...first time excuse was 'an emergency repair took precedence'. The second cancellation was due to bad weather - this time it was a valid excuse. However, the third time he was a no-show and no call...on a beautiful, non-windy, sunny day. Thus I will no longer be using his services or recommending them to anyone else.
dave garcia: Bill Martindale, of All Point Builders provided a quote for the removal and replacement of a broken patio and for expanding it the width of the the house. Included in the quote was the repair of the mortar joint between the foundation wall and brick exterior wall. After reviewing several proposals, I contracted with All Point Builders due to the quality of their work and their reputation.Bill and his crew showed up on each of the three days that they said they would, and were here exactly at the stated time. They worked efficiently and answered the questions I had as they progressed. On the first day they removed the old broken patio, excavated the area where the replacement and expansion patios were to go, set the forms and placed the gravel and screening. The second day of work consisted of pouring the cement, which was no easy feat due to the fact that the cement needed to be transported to the location by wheelbarrow from the truck, and finishing it off. On the final day, the forms were removed and the expansion joints were cut into the patio and the repair to the foundation wall was also done. All Point Builders did a great job and sloped the patio away from the house to mitigate some water pooling issues that I had. They did an excellent job in cleaning up and restoring the yard. They are very highly regarded by me.
Michael Kusner: Our experience with All Point Builders was excellent. Bill and his crew did a wonderful job repairing 2 of our chimneys, repairing cracks in our foundation, installing a glass block window, adding and grading the soil along the repaired foundation and installing a chimney liner. Bill repaired the foundation, tested to make sure there were no lingering leaks and completed additional work as needed. We found Bill and his crew respectful toward us and our property. Bill took the time to explain how the repairs would be completed and proper upkeep so the long term outcome would be positive. Bill returned my telephone calls promptly when I had questions. I thought the prices he charged were competitive with other estimates I received.
Douglas Jewett: This summer (2013) my neighbor alerted me to an old, hazardously leaning 18 foot chimney on the side of my garage that I don't normally see. There was no easy fix. It had to come down promptly and safely from my neighbor's side, so I had to be extra cautious. Mr. Martindale came the same day, climbed up and removed the most hazardous cap and upper rows of bricks, then returned on subsequent days when he could schedule the time to finish the job. I was especially concerned about a thorough cleanup, since the debris had to be dropped on my neighbor's lot. The cleanup was excellent as well.
