Way 1 Supermarket: what do users think?
Lori Schmidt: It was okay. Found what I was looking for. Communicating with employees was a little difficult. It all worked out.
Jo Z: don't buy their TOFU in plastic container, those are out of date(but label saying couple weeks due), but after I opened the cover, inside water is sticky, all TOFU soured. This is 3rd time I bought TOFU, never again. Please see other negative posts regarding expired label on food too(my case is date is far away to be expired but food is already rotten). Selling expired food or food rotten with wrong expiration label is bad business.
Qiling Zou: Usually long queue in the checkout counter.
Karen Barbu: Hard to read lables
X. RAO: The location is great, not far from highway. Parking should not be a problem. Decent size of store with variety of Asian food, especially Chinese food (vegetable, rice, drinks, dried food, noodles, meat, bakery, etc.). Quality of products is generally good.Price is generally slightly higher than other great Detroit area Chinese supermarket, understandably with its location next to University of Michigan. One of my main complain is that the restroom is dirty and smelly (shelf area are generally better). And staff is under-staffed both at re-stocking and check out.
Xi He: I’ve bought expired food many times and found it amusing when the salesperson blamed the manufacturer for their mistake. It's the biggest joke I've ever heard! 😅
bob bob: Good selection!
JunJun: Here is nice to visit again again x100.Reasonable prices. Here is absolutely better than one Korean market.
Laura: Rich types and multiple choices, good quality and reasonable prices. Really enjoy shopping in Chinese market.
Chiharu Lau: The peel garlic is labeled $0.99 but they charged me $1.29. The cashier said the system must be correct thus the label must be wrong. The she said she would inform the manager but still charge me $1.29. I am okay with the price but not comfortable seeing one price on the tag and getting charged a different price.
Kat E: This is a large, very typical Asian grocery store. They have a good selection of everything, mostly Chinese Japanese etc. The people who are commenting that this place is 'smelly' are comparing this store to a typical American grocery store. No Asian markets are like that. This place is typical and the selection is on the larger end of the scale so I think it's great!
Budd Frye: We have been going there for years. Great store!
Richard SAT: Compressive selection of Chinese groceries.
김태현: I don’t know why a clerk seems so mad although I just asked about where a sriracha sauce.
Michael Kulpa: Overall cleanliness is mediocre at best. They do have several asian noodles that are hard to find.
Tony Wang: Selling expired food, and extremely rude customer service
Michael Thornton: Great selection, and great staff!
Marc Perroquet: I love this store!
Mark Hanss: Always have plenty of staff around, but only one working the cash register. It should not take 30 minutes to get through a checkout line.
Jared Lee: Can find and get most the Taiwanese ingredients materials
Grace Su Ming: I love this supermarket! So many options. Lots of spices. Fresh produce and meat products!

Hua Xing Asia Market: what do users think?
Melissa Duvall: Large selection of Asian foods prices are good.
Neen Thomas: You've got to check this place out! Nom nom!
Rafael Figueroa: They have alot of yummy foods and stuff. !!!
Andrew Fribley: Best place in 3 counties for Asian cuisine ingredients. Prices beat the pants off the competition. Produce is fantastic. Noodle selection can't be beat.
Joseph Sakal: Good variety and prices
XQ Z: Good variety of products available. Cashiers are nice. Found bunch of produce that’s no where to find in Kroger. Nice place to shop.
Autumn S: Enormous selection, good prices.
Grumpy Dragon: Perfectly splendid
Roundhat Rover: This store have more Indonesian stuffs! You can find the instant seasoning (yes, they have Rendang), mie Atom, Kecap ABC, Syrup Marjan, Indomie, etc
Kyle Keener: Great Asian market and great prices
John Mckinzie: Excellent market, the noodle choices outstanding.
Jameel Mustafa: Great tea selection! Didn't have smoked oysters though. So many things to buy, try to grab you a food guide in one of the isles! That's what I do, someone will always recommend something delicious to try!
Mike: Place is looking run down, smells bad, discarded boxes and un-used equipment just piled up in the corner. Staff is as dull as a bar of soap. Go to the Asian stores in Madison Heights which are much cleaner and better run.
Shawn Thomas: So many things to find here. I love browsing and trying new things. Use your camera translation app!Update;Still the best around. Unmatched ramen selection, all sorts of different Asian goods from all parts, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai. I've found it all!
sujana ranjit: Doesn't have choices and miss items that I personally like.
Marie Barksdale: A lot of things aren’t in English and it can be overwhelming If it’s your first time there or you don’t know what things are. But they have the best selection and pricing for Asian food in the area.I love this place. My advice is to really make a day of going the first time so you can spend your time really checking out what’s there.I will admit that people are right about it having some overpowering smells that kind of very throughout the store. But a lot of that is just the smell of the food, so it’s really what should be expected. That said it’s not what a lot of us are used to so it’s good to have that in mind going into things.I also noticed that people have mentioned the staff not being super helpful when you have questions. I figured this was just a language barrier, but I think I might not entirely be the case. I honestly think all the reviews here are accurate, more than one thing can be true. But that doesn’t actually take away from my personal rating.
Guillaume Coussement: Many Asian countries are represented here through their foods, if you are like me, you might need some help. The staff will oblige. Love it, decent prices as well...
A: It's the only place I Ever wear a mask- with peppermint essential oil so I don't smell the store. There's a terrible strong smell and I wish they'd clean it up. That said, they have "everything", huge selection, plus some affordable kitchen , dining, and culinary wares, and also a sort of natural pharmacy of liniments and potions for health issues. The prices are good. I'd give 5 stars if it were cleaner and there was accessible customer service (there kinda isn't)
Karen Weaver: Fun time exploring!
Mike McDowell: Great Asian market in Ypsilanti
Kim M. Hoppe: Smells
