Steven Clark Poling Jr.: We used to enjoy this location but had a poor experience last time. Brought our three little girls here for ice cream. The youngest chose “the blue one” because it was a beautiful color. We purchased the ice cream and (of course!) the little one wasn’t a fan of the flavor. I politely asked if we could get her a different flavor, and the sales person coldly told me if I purchased another scoop, I could certainly get another flavor. I was a bit taken aback. It’s not like ice cream is that expensive. We ended up leaving the store with a sad little two year-old to search for ice cream somewhere else. After this experience, we won’t be coming back.

Jane Hewitson: The ice cream was very tasty though pricey. But we were basically asked to leave the shop because our two three year olds were making too much noise. This could have been handled in a much nicer way, without causing embarrassment to all the customers in the shop.

But when I went into Mindo chocolate the staff was extremely helpful explaining all the different types I’ve so blindly been living without. I’ve bought their chocolate bars for a while and was so thrilled when they opened this place up on Midnight Madness in 2021.During a recent visit with my bestie, I bought some cocoa powder and a bar. One of the two maker gals was there, as was her mom. These women are amazing, beautiful souls! We had the most lovely chat. It’s refreshing to meet people who are so passionate about their work, who pour so much love into their products.I was so blown away by their generosity too. We tried samples of one of their soon to be released chocolate. We also were given a sample of their brownies, which are totally divine. (I’m vegan and she even opened a vegan one up for me for my sample. I mean, wow!).Their chocolate is so delicious! It is the best I’ve ever had, to be honest. Years ago, I even briefly lived in Austria and had award winning chocolate while there. Mindo’s chocolate is a spiritual experience 😅 I’ll say. 🙏🏻☮️💖😊 I’ve gifted their bars to many people and the recipients have loved it too. So grateful we have this location in Ann Arbor!

A wide variety of truffles with flavors that range from complex combinations of fruit, liquors, and herbs to the awesomely simple 99% dark chocolate with a hint of honey. You also can't go wrong with any of the other chocolates, fruit patés, or caramels.
