Braun's Tree Farm: what do users think?
moses2280: Tree selection is very poor and pricy. $15/per foot. All trees poorly shaped and skinny. Def not worth the drive.
Robert Lemke: If I could give zero stars I would. Last year pulled up with family who drove four hours to be with my immediate family. Bad day, things went sideways. Objective was to get a tree, we all hustled to get to brauns, and when we got there twenty minutes before close this shrew of an owner was there to chase us off. Can’t believe this place is in business with this lady and her awful attitude.I come from service industry, and would never treat a customer like that.Dont give these people your money. A lot of other tree farms, and three cedars is right down the street. Three cedars is amazing and treats everyone like family, only downside is my kids like picking out their tree.Long story short, do not give these rude awful people your money.
Tyler Knutson: Best tree's in Michigan!
Michael McCaffery: Fun and easy. Knowledgeable staff
james merrill: Always go here kids love it
Lydia Garber: I called today for information on what kind of Christmas trees they have and was rudely spoken to. I also was not greeted nicely. I said thank you and they rudely hung up with no answer.
Gabe Howard: they’re closed!!! did not say that anywhere on the website. very annoyed because we drove decently far.
Heather Drury: Unfortunately not indicated as closed on their website and wasn't aware until we arrived. Information should be updated on website
John Muczynski: Is December 12th, and they closed for the season a couple weeks ago.
Madeline Viergutz: Nice staff, always quick to get through the line. Trees are a little on the smaller side but good and don’t die when you get them home.
Brenna Gates: First off showed up during what was supposed to be open hours. No one is there so we pull down a drive way and see if we can find someone. A car pulls up and we are like hey do you know if we can take photos and look around. The woman is very hostile and says what are you doing here. We say we came for trees. She gets very agitated and starts telling us we need to leave and acting very dodgy. Meanwhile, a car has pulled up behind us and two more cars on the road off the driveway are parked watching us. We turn around and the lady drives off the other car pulls up next to us and stares at us as we drive off. Once we are out of the drive the other two cars pull off. Really creepy experience. Felt like we entered some forbidden place. Very hostile vibes and really weird over all.
Mimi Brown, CSP: Loved our experience here. We worked with Matt.At first we thought we wanted to cut down our own tree and Matt carted is around on the tractor through the field, only for us to decide that we didn’t want to cut our own tree after all. Patiently, he walked us row by row and educated us about the different types of trees. He was personable and very helpful. We would highly recommend to purchase your tree from Brauns. It’s not just a purchase. It’s an experience!
Lily Merritt: Literally the worst experience I've ever had. There are many friendly places to get your tree in Ann Arbor so I suggest anywhere else.
Hailey Ann: Great farm! Awesome family that runs it!
Cameron Otto: Great location and great people see you next year
Austin Hardoin: Best trees ever! Highly recommended this farm for all
Angelo Zanoto: I bought there in 2014 and I liked their small size ... I didn't went this year still ...
James Mason: I have been taking my family to cut my own tree at Braun's for 8 years. They are expensive, but we enjoy the experience and are happy to support a local family business. This year as we crossed the road into the north field, another person pulling back an empty wagon said, "Good luck..." We struggled to find ANY uncut trees in that field that were full and nice to look at. Most were scrubby, patchy, in their death stages, or had multiple trunks. I ended up topping a spruce waaaay at the northern end. It is ok but I chose it out of desperation.A large part of the north field has been planted with seedlings which SHOULD be nice in about 10 years. In the meantime, I will be going elsewhere for my Christmas trees.
Patrick Meyer: Do not go here. The trees are unexceptable. Very expensive. You can find better trees elsewhere.
Laura King: Don't buy one of their pre-cut trees!! We got it home and the tag on it indicated it had been cut on the west side of the state. They must have shipped it in mud because as it warmed up clumps of dirt fell off onto my white carpeting. Never going back there again!
steve Fernimos: High quality trees and a small family business that needs support

Flatsnoots Christmas Trees: what do users think?
Jan Griessmann: Bunch of lazy dudes sitting on their phones and hitting Jules. Go to a real place
Kirsten P (Wilddove): Quick and easy service, beautiful healthy trees! Put the base right on for us! We'll definitely go here again.
Heather Miller: For over 20 years this is where we get our Christmas tree. They moved locations several years ago from one side of A2 to the other, but I tracked them down :) Great selection in all price points. At this point if I went somewhere else I would feel like I'm cheating on them lol
TheDarkwolf011 Simchak: My daughter bought a Christmas tree here good price and beautiful tree
Tonya Goven: Great customer service! Friendly. All tree sizes for different families, and affordable for the area. They also carry fresh wreaths and a picture stand for fun 😄
Alison Maki: Great trees! Reasonably priced. Helpful people to get it into vehicle!!
Betsy Blue: Shop local, better selection than Lowe's!
Sarah P: Great selection and super helpful people! It was a little crowded, so if you're being super careful about covid just be conscious to go on an off hour. We went on opening day.
Alyssa Ratcliffe: Some of the greatest guys ever, helped us even after close. Would absolutely buy from them again!
Gretchen: Fun, excellent service, and in a good location
David Krasnow: Great tree selection! Very friendly and hard-working gentlemen helping out here as well.
Emily Kennedy: look forward to coming here every year!
Steve Russie: We have bought our trees here for about 10 years, they are always fresh, and last forever! The service is always fast and polite. This is THE place to buy your tree in the Ann Arbor area.
L &J: We get our tree here every year. Straight out of a Charlie Brown Christmas or A Christmas Story. Great prices and amazing hospitality. And they accept credit cards! Our trees always stay fresh for at least a month if watered often.

Urquhart's Tree Farm: what do users think?
Mike Hardie: This is a great place for a walk to cut your own tree. Fantastic page, we've been cooking here a while, great trees, great experience
Christopher Jackson: Best place in lower Mi
Ashley Sutton: Yesterday was our first time getting a real tree, and while I admittedly don’t know much about trees, we were so impressed with the wide variety to choose from! We had no trouble finding one we loved and were delighted to find some beautiful wreaths were for sale as well. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with all our questions. Can’t wait to come back next year!
Chelsea Crawford: Pretty bummed that they did not shake our tree as they claim to, huge mess bringing it into our house.
Ryan Davidson: Very large not a lot of guidance. Lots of trees but they are very scrawny. I know its been some lean years but geez. Id go back in a few years when they get bigger and hopefully some better growing seasons
Christopher Hood: Went there a few weeks ago to look for a cut your own Christmas tree. We were choosing between this and Arend’s tree farm. The current google reviews for this place are very deceiving. Although the people were very nice to selection of trees was absolutely terrible. They don’t seem to have them grown in rows just kind of randomly scattered. They only have scraggly and barren trees with very poor selection, especially for Fraser fir. When we saw multiple cars leaving without a tree that should’ve been our clue to leave at that point. We ended up walking around for 45 minutes and left without a tree. Save yourself time and go down the road to arend’s tree farm where they have an amazing selection of very full and beautiful Fraser furs at reasonable prices.
Marcus H. Boone: Excellent Place! Large amount of trees to choose from and very organized, polite, and respectful staff!!
Scott: Urquhart's has an excellent selection of trees! We go with Canaan fir and some of the places we have been in the past didn't have a great selection, not to mention the Canaan firs that they had were not very full and skinny. Although the selection wasn't very large for the tree we were looking for they quality was the best by far. We have been getting a real tree for the past 6-7 years and this year is the best one to date! We think that we may have found our new Christmas tree farm! Definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for the experience of cutting your own tree! They have saws for you to use, if you don't have your own, and they have wagons to help lug your tree back to their barn to be shaken and bailed. We saw a tractor pulling a wagon but not sure if they are there all the time or just on the weekend. 10/10 for tree farms!
steve s: The best tree farm in the area. We always fine a great tree.
Gary Chevillet: Large Farm was a great time long walk and well organized so many trees we will be back
Parker Thomas: Well organized. All outdoor so Covid aware.
klovedj Nuttall-love: We had a great time and found just the right tree.
Grace Griese: Incredible selection of trees, beautiful countryside, welcoming and kind staff.
Michael Sadler: This was fun, they provide a wagon and saw if you don't have one. Very easy plenty of beautiful trees in a number of different varieties. Fun environment employees are full of energy and knowledge.
Sara Weidmayer: Urquhart's is the best Christmas Tree farm around. It's family owned and operated, and the workers are friendly and helpful. There's a great selection of trees with several varieties (spruce, frasier/concolor/douglas/korean firs, white pines, etc) and heights, including some pre-cuts. The farm is beautiful and is family (and dog) friendly. Definitely an annual tradition!
Michael G: Great selection of trees. Friendly staff who follow current COVID guidelines.
Michelle Reppen: Wow! Amazing people and amazing place! Beautiful setting and beautiful trees! If you want a wonderful tradition with your family for the holidays, this is it! This was our first visit and we’ll never go anywhere else.
Lenore Thornhill: Friendly and helpful staff. I get a Fraser fir, which is hard to find where I live. We travel an hour and a half to get there but we think it's worth the trip. prices are comparable to other tree farms.
Stephanie Foster: My husband and I went for the first time today. We had intended to buy a pre cut one as we only needed a 5-6ft one. There were a number to choose from but we decided while we were there to cut our first tree instead! Plenty of choice, there are carts and saws to borrow. A tractor ride will take you to the furthest part of the farm. Good value and a fun way to spend an hour or so:) Staff are super friendly too!
Martin Avis: Their page says they have precut trees. After driving 30 minutes out to the farm it turns out that the precut selection consists of a couple dozen 5 foot Frazier firs. Very disappointing!
Barbara Wagner: For decades my husband and I bought pre-cut Christmas trees from vendors in Ann Arbor. This past Christmas (2018) we decided to cut a fresh tree. Neighbors had recommended Urquhart’s Tree Farm. The staff at Urquhart’s was very helpful and gave us excellent advice and directions to find a Fraser fir. The experience was so much fun and we brought home a beautiful tree. We’ll go back next year for sure.

Fred's Tree Farm: what do users think?
Paula Mancini: Awesome experience today! Super friendly man there to help us, small but ample selection of trees. Great price, great tree! Will return!
Matthew King: If you want the highest quality trees for a fair price and minimal fuss, Fred's Tree Farm is the way to go. We've been to a few U-cut places in the area and the trees from Fred's are far and away superior... And they last FOREVER. Our Concolor from two years ago was almost as fresh in February as the day we cut it in early December. Highly recommend.
Andrew Genthe: Absolutely love our tree from here definitely will be back next year. I didn't think I was going to be able to find a tree that was over 10 foot that was also very slim. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect tree.
Caitlin Priest: Small farm, family owned. Eric was very friendly and helpful. We are also very grateful he accommodated our schedule. Reasonable prices. We are very happy with the process and our adorable tree.
Angela Stier: Our first time here and I know we will return - many great trees to pick from and excellent customer service!
Matthew Peetz: great service, great prices for the trees, and easy to get too. totally recommended!
Daniel Masserang: Small place but had an awesome selection! I wanted to buy a few trees!
John Nonnenmacher: Great family-owned tree farm! Very helpful service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend to all!
Julie Cassano: It's in the middle of nowhere and easy to miss but beautiful trees!
Kelly Johnson: It's definitely a small family operation. Don't be surprised when you pull up a driveway to a family's home. The trees are in the back, Norway spruces. They have another lot with various firs. They have beautiful trees for a very reasonable price.
Karen Bates: Awesome, Friendly, family farm! Beautiful trees!
Patrick Wagner: Great selection of cut your own trees! Very welcoming and nice mom and pop type establishment! Good price & will return again next year! Much better than an industry tree farm!
Laurie Nonnenmacher: A great selection, more reasonably priced than most places around. Helpful and friendly service! Will be a repeat customers for sure.

Lucas Tree Lot: what do users think?
Amanda Hawkins: Really disappointed with our tree we purchased here. We spent over $130 on a tree and could not be more disappointed that it is already dying before Christmas despite us following all of their recommendations!
bryant thomas: I find this company to be the most unprofessional. Not only did I last year fight for three months just to get someone to do my shut off and you guys never came, But someone also talks to me rude when I was just trying to get service. Now I’m in a situation where is going on over a month and I have reached out multiple times and been stood up to fix the issue or a system that they installed. I can’t fathom having a business services people in there being a lack of response and follow up or even just showing up to the service.
Elizabeth Ehinger: Had the best experience getting our first tree there today!
Jay Boissy: Owner was very generous to stay open passed closing for me to pick up our tree after my work. The selection is awesome and the wreaths are especially cool! Prices are the best I've ever seen from a tree farm.
Justin Kenney: Second year getting our tree here. Has been excellent both times. Reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful folks. Good variety of healthy looking trees!
Lauren Norris: Just had the best experience getting my Christmas tree. The owner let us know which tree would be best this early in the season which was very helpful! It was also nice to hear about the family history of the business. Most importantly, the trees are beautiful!!
Kelly Mae: Buyer beware. Our builder hired this team (they own a nursery, Christmas tree lot and landscaping/sprinkler company) to install our irrigation system. Two weeks into owning our new home we had soil loss, a sink hole and an area that continued to hold water. My husband had notified the owner of Lucas’s of the issue before we closed and they said they fixed it.After a site visit to our home where he did no more than check our water meter and make condescending comments, he decided to blame the builders grading of the property. He refused to investigate or assist us in resolving the issue. We sought assistance from another company and the problem was repaired in less than an hour. We had a broken valve. A simple, easy repair.Lucas is hostile, aggressive and will never do the right thing when given the chance. I hope this review helps someone find a more trustworthy and reputable company.

Hillside Christmas Tree Farm: what do users think?
Adam Chastain: There is absolutely a reason why this place has five star reviews across the board and their service shows why.Had a great time with my family with the tractor wagon rides and checking out all the different trees.Staff is friendly and very inviting. My wife and I found a new Christmas tree tradition.Update:Two years in a row now! As great as ever!
Kris: Our new Christmas tree spot!!! First timers this year and our experience was wonderful! We were greeted promptly, given guidance about the tree farm, and then hopped on the wagon to find a tree. There were so many beautiful full trees to choose from. Once we found our tree the wagon was right there to pick us up and the workers who shook/wrapped our tree were friendly and quick. We stopped inside to grab delicious hot cider and loved all the unique Christmas decor. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and we couldn’t be happier to have Hillside Christmas Tree Farm become part of our yearly tradition!!!
Mariana Schnell: Pine trees and Spruce trees available for you to cut. They provide the cart And the saw. The surrounding farm is so pretty and they even have a fire with picnic tables where you can sit for a bit.
Angela & Charlee Richards: This will be our 3rd year cutting our own tree. The staff have been very helpful, as we know nothing about different trees and it is a fun family experience! Our daughter enjoys playing in the playground section while we wait for the next wagon to take us out to the trees. (Don't forget to dress warmly and grab a saw!)The driver will announce the tree names of each section (you can read about different types and prices before you go on the wagon) and take all the time you need to choose your tree.(Wear thicker gloves)Load your tree on the next wagon back and have fun watching them 'shake' them off and tightly wrap them up!Then take the family into the barn for a nice treat of hot cocoa and a snack, sit by the fire, sing a song, color or just look at all the festive decorations before heading home to decorate your beautiful tree!
Brian Grohe: This place is amazing! There's a little welcome area where you can view samples of all the different kinds, a big Google map picture of the farm so you know where to go, hay rides every couple of minutes to take you wherever you wanna go and very friendly staff to help you every step of the way. We love our tree and our experience!
Connie Johnston: Wonderful! We have been going for years and they remember us. Always take our dog and everyone enjoys her.
Derrick Robbins: My experience was fantastic. I grew up cutting trees down with my family. The magic was there. They had plenty of trees to choose from, cool wagons to use, and even a tractor to ride if needed (great for families with tired kids) The walk wasn't bad to where the trees were. Extremely friendly staff and great prices. On top of that, they had a warming barn complete with Christmas Karaoke, coloring books for everyone, a hot fire, and food/ornaments available for purchase. If I need a tree next year, I know where I'm going!
Mike Gudith: First time we bought a real tree and the experience we had will make us come back for years to come. They take you on a wagon ride (if you want) to the area of trees for you to cut. They have a play area for the kids and they have a barn with some christmas decor to look at and have hot chocolate. A great time for the whole family. Prices are very reasonable. We got a 7ft. spruce for $42. You can't beat that with the atmosphere. While it's cheaper to go to home depot for a real tree, BUT who wants to go to a big box store and get a pre-cut tree thats been sitting in a truck for several weeks and from who knows where when you can get a fresh cut tree locally. I'd gladly pay the extra money for the experience my family had.
adam wilhelm: Good selection of trees and a great time with my family manually cutting down our tree and having some hot chocolate after! We are coming back this year for sure.
