Dexter Cider Mill: what do users think?
Jeff :: Always a good time
Twila Price: My friend group has an annual tradition for an outing to buy cider (created on site) and donuts here. My husband makes a point of going at least once a week during the season. They also sell apples and various fall-related food items. My only problem is that they are severely over-crowded on weekends, so it can take over an hour while waiting for parking, standing on line, etc. Weekdays are the best bet for a serene unhurried shopping experience.
Nick Nuechterlein: Wonderful, wonderful place. Picked up donuts & cider from here for our wedding. Sunday, 8 AM, w/ the brisk October sun just coming up ~ nothing better!
Sangeeta Khalsa: Cute with wonderful hot cider and donuts
Ellie Fassoi: Cute cider mill with a creek view!
Deborah Wilt Gaiser: Quaint little cider mill. Apple cider and donuts were delicious. People friendly.
Dayanira Moya: Best donuts in Michigan!
Jill West: Yummy
Rachel Muldoon: Great place to grab cider and doughnuts! Our family has been going for over 50 years...it's our favorite place! Just FYI, it's still cash or check only, but they do have an ATM on site.
Lindsey Kerr: Simply the best. No frills. You go for the cider and doughnuts--no hay rides or petting farm or hoopla. Just high quality, made on the premises, still hot doughnuts and cider from the tap.
W. Bee: We love visiting Dexter Cider Mill! Don't let the crowd or full parking lot intimidate you. This family runs a tight ship! They are friendly and incredibly efficient...and their cinnamon doughnuts are off the charts delicious 😋. I highly recommend!!
Matthew Reed: Great place to get some apple cider and doughnuts, but don't expect anything else - it's literally just cider and doughnuts.
Kathleen Dickensheets: Always a great experience when i go there. The cider slushies are the best. Fresh cider and donuts every time i go. Thank you for being so delicious.
Lorne Cameron: Great place for cider (hot and cold) and doughnuts, one of my favorites in Ann Arbor. Bonus, they are on the river which is nice for viewing and taking pictures.
Elaine B: I visited Ann Arbor this weekend from out of town and I had the BEST experience at Dexter Cider Mill!!! I highly recommend the cider, hard cider, cider donuts, and apple nut bread!! This place is a MUST go!
Becky Geer: They have these little boxes of tea bags of cider spice so you can make spiced cider one cup at a time. They are REALLY good. They cost about $5 a box, but worth it. The gallon of cider was $10, that was too much for me. I went and got my cider at a Dexter farm on my way home.
Kalila McCoy: Great little place and the apple fritter was fantastic! Parking limited, but the drive there is beautiful and staff is very friendly
Carl Peterson: Good atmosphere, nice day and I can't complain. Although I have been to better places.
Tracey Filar Atwood: Delicious fresh pressed apple cider and warm cinnamon sugar doughnuts! It was pleasant to sit out back near the river, and enjoy our treats. We did not like the bottled hard cider, however--too vinegary for our taste. Also, they should stay open later, especially on the weekend.
Trey Cook: Some of the best fresh donuts around, and a nice setting on the Huron River.
Tyler Memmott: So fun and delicious! Kinda busy yet worth the time. 😎

Wiard's Orchards: what do users think?
Sadie Carr: My school goes there every October we are from Milan high School located in Milan our leadership team is now called big red buddies . My family also goes there for the hayrides and I LOVE it. We live live from wiards 5 min away from my house. Edit: I forgot to mention we also do the hayride the day one and the hayride of the lost.
allison bob: Wiard's Orchard is a precious memory of our child-raising years when we brought our three children each December to Wiards to cut your best Christmas tree. We loved hiding among the trees from our beloved Golden Retriever, Baron, and ending those Gold Medal Memories warming inside enjoying warm donuts and cider. Almost a half century later, we think of the cost back then as investments in precious, priceless memories. Thank you, Wiard's Orchards. Bob and Elaine Allison, Shawnee, Okla..
Honestabe: Best donuts and cider no contest
Elijah Wells: Like yo mom
Candace Keast: Love this place..BEST DONUTS AND APPLE CIDER HANDS DOWN!!!
Dasia Parks: Amazing orchard! Would most definitely recommend. They have the best pies and donuts.
Mika: Very Expensive ticket. Not great cider, really not much too do when you are older. Bought Tickets for Terror Night, wasn't able to go day of, but was told that I can go other days and on Halloween night. Oct 30, I called about a refund. No refund, but they were open that night AND Halloween night. Planned for Halloween night, until I called them today to ask if the weather would effect them. Only to be told that they were cancelled. What do I do now that I'm out 160 bucks for this?
Jason Karas: Best haunt around! Their vision is above and beyond the rest. A little pricey, but sometimes quality comes at a cost. Wish their was some way for them to get sponsors or something to reduce the ticket price or something. Everything we saw was amazing, but we couldn’t afford to see everything.
Ali Dib (Dib896 flooring): Good place
Nicole Walker: Had a great Fast Lane pass experice this weekend at Wiards. 5 great haunted attractions and amazing cider and donuts offered after the hay ride & to purchase at their large cider mill. I can't wait to go back next year and bring friends & family. Worth the hike if you don't live close.
Chris Biggs: They have a class system on their lines. You pay more and you get in faster. This class system cash grab garbage is a cover for the fact that they can't provide their services in a reasonable amount of time, so they'll predate upon consumer impatience to make more money without solving the problem. Meanwhile, everyone else waits even longer. We see it at major theme parks and now you get to see it at your hometown childhood orchard too. Disgusting.
Sam B: 10 years ago the entrance fee was worth it, not so much anymore. The donuts are always amazing though, so luckily you can stop in the store for free.
Abdelkader Fares: I used to come here as a kid all the time with my family. The warm donuts are probably the best out of all the apple orchards. The apple cider is also good but doesn't really stand out compared to others. The prices to get into the apple orchard itself is kind of ridiculous. It also feels a lot more commercialized than it used to and kind of gave off a carnival vibe. It is really crowded in there as well and the lines for everything were super long. It is still a nice place to go with the family but doesn't really feel like an apple orchard anymore.
Rick Brack: Very expensive, 2 adults 1 under 10 and 1 was 12 $77. Wouldn't have been bad if the whole park was open. Only able to do mini golf, a hay ride and walk around the pumpkin field. Would not recommend
Carmisha Legion: It was a place for kids only really so I feel like the price for adults to get in just to walk around is too high.
Courtney Cella: It was okay. Nothing special, besides the apple shooter. There really isn't much to to. They have the tiniest petting farm 5 goats and 2 llamas. A slide, hayride and a corn maze. It's a huge place and lots of empty space. Seriously overpriced for everything. 75$ for 2 gal of cider and some donuts. 23.50 a person, cost 25$ for 1 corn dog a lemonade and a medium fry. So to feed a family lunch you better bring a few hundred extra.
Scott H: Wiard's has just about any activity you could imagine, though if you're visiting for more than food or drink you'll need a ticket for entry to their park. Tickets available online or at the ticket counter, but either way they'll still charge you a service fee on top of the ticket price (even if you pay cash). The park area is well staffed and clean, with plenty for you and your family to do, along with a few premium experiences available for additional charges (apple cannon, paintball range, etc). Their pumpkin patch is filled with great, large pumpkins, along with carts to haul your choice back to your vehicle.Don't forget to visit their store, packed full of all of your favorite fall flavors. Their cider was disappointing -- I found it to be excessively sweet, with weird notes of granny smith in it -- but their donuts are top tier; definitely worth waiting in the second line after you go through the shop to get them hot and fresh!
raven cacani: Great place to take the kids so many fun activities to do
Jen Mullins: Not worth it. Spent $80 for a family of 4 and all there was was a couple playgrounds, a hayride (which was fun) and a corn maze. Pumpkins were an extra $10+ And only like 4 animals to see. If it was $10 per person total maybe it would have been worth it. But $80 for all wasn’t worth it. If I wanted to just go to a playground I’d go to a local park for free. The hayride was fun for sure but definitely not worth what we paid.
Trey Cook: As for the country store portion, I wish they sold individual donuts. But the apple fritter was delicious and the location is nice.
Erin Distad: We came here for the second year in a row with our homeschool co-op and once again had a great time! We will be back!

Alber Orchard & Cider Mill, LLC: what do users think?
L K: Great heirloom apples and peaceful orchard but please take better care for the two sweet donkeys/mules who live with you.Update: Thanks for the response on the donkeys. You must have received a note from another guest. I was referencing the sores on their faces/noses, but glad to hear they got a check up and are doing well.
Eric Cooper: This is a gem. Every year I'm am impressed and grateful for the spectacular spectrum of apples they offer. The donuts somehow bring me back to an earlier time. This place is an essential experience, a must-go. Friendly owners, too
Martin Halprin: Alber is a must for any serious apple lover! Their selection of contemporary and heirloom varieties ensures you’ll find a new apple to love, most that you’ll never see in a grocery store. Their cider also benefits from the wide variety of apples they grow, guaranteeing a more complex cider experience. If you’re interested in fermenting your own hard cider, they’ll even fill your carboys with a blend of heirlooms for that purpose. They’ve got an event space opening soon too that promises their own hard cider too. To top it all off, the owners, Mike and Terese, are both great people who clearly love what they do. Visit Alber, you won’t regret it!
Andrew Brouwer: Alber Orchard is a lovely heirloom apple orchard, where you can buy heritage apples, as well as donuts and cider. Well worth the trip! If you are interested in fermenting your own hard cider, they will fill carboys. Looking forward to their event space, too.
Lori Flint: Got two gallons of the best cider! Extended season because they had a great year. YAYYYYY!
Julie James: Fun orchard with great goods to buy, pumpkin patch, orchard with many varieties. Great donuts and cider! Petting zoo too! Very family oriented, and had a band there the day I went
Shane Van Wasshnova: Nice country orchard with lots of outdoor seating. Donuts were a bit dried out, probably didn't get a fresh batch. Cider is great. Small store with a few items. Prices have sure jumped up due to inflation.
Douglas Kern: What a special place, take the famiily!!
Kevin Hurst: One of the most beautiful Orchards to visit. The views are stunning. Apple 🍎 cider is the best we've ever had. The Donuts absolutely Delicious. Don't hesitate to stop well worth it. ✨️
Trey Cook: Excellent donuts and cider, friendly operation. They even had a tamale stand! $10 card minimum
B M: Best apple orchard ever! 🍎💛 🧡
Paige Bradley: Albert Orchard is one of our favorites! We make the drive specifically for the cider (the best in Michigan imo) but my kids really love the corn maze, pumpkin patch and taste testing all the different heirloom apples AND the donuts, naturally.Definitely worth a visit!!
Masha Anderson: Alber Orchard & Cider Mill - Wow, what a wonderful cider mill! The CIDER is absolutely delicious! They have a large variety of donuts and they were the best donuts we have ever eaten - loved the pumpkin donuts. The Carmel Apples were FABULOUS - Thick Carmel Apples with nuts, Hay Ride, Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, lots of benches and tables to sit and enjoy the family and delicious tastes of the season. We plan to go back for more cider and donuts this week! Take the dog too! BEST MILL AND ORCHARD in the WHOLE STATE OF MICHIGAN!
Kathleen Dickensheets: Nice small family owned mill. The cider tasted so fresh and crisp. Will be back soon
Nicole Drake: Smells delicious so i pucked up fresh baked doughnuts and cider for work. Thanks Alber Orchard. You have a great selection of apples.
Cindy Sopko: The Orchard was beautiful 😍. The corn maze was way bigger and harder than I expected, but was a lot of fun and well worth the money spent. They happened to have gluten free/vegan donuts the weekend we went and they were AH-MAZING! We actually ended up at the Orchard a little later than closing due to the corn maze taking longer than we expected. But we got to talk to a lovely lady and some of the staff about the corn maze and the new barns and they will have hard cider tasting space next year! There was also bunnies, donkies, and a SUPER friendly barn cat. I highly recommend Alber's.also their "the works" cider was everything I needed to kick off October!
Yvonne C Mead: What a wonderful place, I highly recommend you stop by.
Brian S: Have done there corn maze every year. Always a lot of fun. Their apple cider and donuts are the best.
Carol Joslin: Mom n Pop operation. Donuts and cider were good. Apple were outrageous in price and super small
Mark Doyle: Great cider and donuts! Beautiful country atmosphere! Friendly and helpful staff.
Norm Parkins: Best cider anywhereFriendly and helpful staff

Wasem Fruit Farm: what do users think?
Linda Martin: Wasem is my new favorite place for cider and donuts. The best thing is you can then both all year long, but only on Fridays until 3pm in the winter months.
Darryl Jones: The snow storm has started coming in and everyone was running for shelter. What better place to be with the kids and family then at this wonderful little apple orchard nestled out in the country. Because of the storm not many people were there, but usually this place is packed. Sometimes you can’t even get into the parking lot it’s so full. The apples and fresh cider and fresh donuts are always wonderful. I highly recommend it. And the people are very very friendly.
Michael Traver: The apples and cider available here are top notch, to say nothing about the warm, delicious doughnuts they make on site. My only regret is that we don't live closer.
John Nicastro: No frills just everything you expect from and apple orchard! Very friendly and the very best cider and awesome donuts every Friday! Mmmmmm!!!!

Apple Charlie's Orchards: what do users think?
Tina Higgs: Rat rod show. Awesome
Forever Fancy: 5-23-23- went to view Orchard as no one ever answers the Phone. Business hours say open until 6pm. We arrive around 4pm and men outside all look at us and look away (as if not wanting to be bothered; we have to say 'excuse me, twice to get them to address us.) We ask when does the orchard open for business? One guy, very reluctantly says AUGUST. He may have been having a bad day or racism played at part. NEVER GOING BACK. Probably for the best.
FurMom: An awesome little place for all ages. The landscape surrounding this orchard has an abundance of beautiful apple trees in which you are bound to find those sweet apples we all crave during our fall season.
May Bazzi: It is so fun to go to
Jada Tommy: Favorite new cider mill!
Jada Thompson: I loved going here for the first time! I’ll definitely bring my nephews next year
James Jose: When I was a child I was brought here by my parents and loved it. Now I bring my daughter and feed those crazy fish!
Barbara Hughes: Use to be good.
doug pettigrew: Awesome place with great people running it! So many different things to do and super fun!
Cindy Scott: Nice place
Matt Norello: Friendly staff had a lot of fun
Barbara Walton: Best orchard around hands down
Cinderella Love: Very nice place for the family. Doughnuts and cider make for the best Autumn 🍂 afternoon.
Angelique George: Go here every year in the fall ! Lot's of fun stuff to do. You can watch them actively making the cider and donuts 😁
Tanner Tam: Just not what it used to be sad to see such a good business go down the drain but with rude staff not seeming like they care what do you expect
Tamika Tilley: Excellent apple cider...vendors kind and courteous...CiCis soul food vendor food was amazing and great customer service
Lisa Kozak: Not too impressed with the customer service. They get your orders wrong when you submit a couple hundred dollar order and then expect you to fix it yourself. They are rude and condescending on the phone and in person.
Alexis Davis: We had a great time I thought the hayride would be a little longer. I love the size of the pumpkins that we got and the little farm area was nice. I wish they had a corn Maze. But overall it was pretty nice. The biggest plus for me is that the pumpkin patch is on the same side of the street with the parking so I didn't have to worry about carrying these huge pumpkins so far.
Teresa: Having family fun within your budget. Doughnuts and cider was very delicious and you can watch them make both, so you know they're fresh. Apple picking was fun. When you compare supermarket prices with how many apples you can fit in a bag, not to mention the fun you have doing it, it's worth the price. I will be returning
Dennis G: U pick is the way to go
