Was told by a manager that I couldn't get a full refund for something I was returning with a gift receipt.Mind you that I originally purchased the gift myself. Was only offered in store credit. Went to the state street location and Julie hooked me up. Was able to find and print my original receipt from the day i purchased the item and got me my full refund. Won't be back to the Main street location. Julie on State street is a veteran M den employee. She's been there a while and her experience is much appreciated and should be rewarded. This also isn't the first time she has helped me. Thank you Julie and shame on you Main street location. Figure it out.

max knock: I have been to this coin shop a few times to buy silver and had fine experiences before. I went back again recently to buy a pretty sizeable amount and asked for the price per oz. The owner pete, gave me this whole rant about how he has the "best prices around" and "no one can possibly beat my prices" and on and on and on I let him know that the price he gave me was a dollar more per oz than another quote I had got. First he said I was going to get scammed and then he and some other guy started mocking me and laughing at me?!? "Go buy from him then!" So that's exactly what I did. I would've bought from him because it wasn't a bad price but his pompous attitude and arrogance towards me will make it so I never come back.

They’ll show you anything you ask for, there is no sales pressure, and I felt like I got a great deal for the stamps I bought. They were happy to answer any questions, but left me to search as they were very busy with lots of coin customers and people selling jewelry, and checked in periodically to make sure I didn’t need anything. It’s hard not to stop in every time I’m on Washtenaw (which is daily).

JBW: I needed to sell common silver coins at melt value. Before settling on this shop, I visited two competitors in Ypsilanti and one in Chelsea. Without question, Ann Arbor Stamps and Coins is the most honest and forthright. I have done business with them on roughly a dozen occasions and have never had reason to doubt my decision in dealing with them exclusively. Friendly, knowledgeable, and up front.

All of the pieces are such great quality, and they have an amazing selection. Bailey and Rhonda always answered our millions of questions and are very knowledgeable and helpful. We were also able to get our wedding bands engraved through them, which added a really nice touch. We love that all of our pieces of jewelry have unique stories and some are over 100 years old! After contacting them through IG, I purchased the ring and they had it sized and then held onto it in their shop until I was able to make my trip from New Mexico to Ann Arbor. I brought my daughter in to the shop to choose a special piece for herself to celebrate her graduation. The family that owns the shop has been so wonderful to deal with and couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful.
