Mantek: what do users think?
Matt: We’ve lived here for over 9 mo and for the most part have had a good experience. Maintenance is responsive, snow is plowed etc. There are NO recycling bins available (not when we moved in Aug ‘22 or when we left Jun ‘23) at this complex and the owner has said since we moved in that it’s “in the works” (not sure what takes so long to get a bin from WM, the same company who provides our trash). It would be nice if they made this a priority; currently I pay to recycle at the local recycle center. Quiet and mostly keep-to-themselves neighbors. They just paved most of the parking lot in May ‘23.Notably when we moved in the unit had leftover hair and some pantry items, as well as some unclean cabinets. The power goes out at this complex CONSTANTLY, at least 10 times in the time we have lived here (even in summer). Construction work is shoddy in some areas, such as one of our kitchen outlets that had to be blocked off by an electrician because it was improperly grounded.Given another chance I would think twice about signing a lease here, and might pay the same $1,650 for a 2bd 1bath house in another area. Lindsay at the leasing office is wonderful. Unfortunately nice leasing agents are not enough to make up for another cash and grab apartment-in-a-box style community like this.edit: You will see an automated reply on this post from the complex. I have reached out with my feedback and never received a response. (6/2022)
Ivan Pogudin: I've lived here for a year, had to move out because I needed a bigger place. Overall experience is very positive. I've dealt mostly with Lindsay and she was always easy to deal with and efficient. Maintenance team does a great job. The issues that came up were resolved ASAP. The area is also very nice with all the shopping and parks nearby. It might not be the cheapest place in town but you can tell where the money goes. Highly recommend.
Breanna Long: We signed signed our third lease here. The reason for the 3 stars is the constant construction. While it’s nice they are updating, the contractors work past 5pm and ON WEEKENDS. It’s so loud. We would just like some peace and quiet. The floors are also super loud and creaky. We feel bad for our downstairs neighbor. We like the updated apartment inside and washer dryer. Kitchen is on the small side. Overall it’s okay.
semika moody: Loved living here. The maintenance and office team were very helpful whenever I needed anything done around the apartment. I especially loved Bob, he was so kind and always understanding and serious when he had to be. Clearance was great too but they both often seemed overworked and overwhelmed but they did their job no matter what. Would I live here again! YESSS!! But I moved to Texas and won’t be moving back to Michigan anytime soon. Only complaint I have is that the window let in a major draft throughout the winter but I put plastic up so it was ok most of the time. I loved all the major updates and especially the pool considering it went up to 6ft. I learned how to tread water that year because of it 😁. Thank you Ridgewood for the experience and I’m glad I didn’t listen to the reviews.
Jason Bolduc: I moved in recently to a newly renovated apartment and love it! Awesome plank flooring, awesome new cabinets, and having laundry in the apartment is great! The folks in the office (Yvonne, Lindsay, and Larry) are super friendly and helpful!
Toby: Quiet community. Very good management. Friendly and professional maintenance guy.
Susan Ameluxen: In our 7 or so years here we always found management to be very responsive and accommodating. They truely showed a personal interest in our needs which were at times serious. We continue to be so appreciative. We LOVE the location!
Steven Long (Scuba Steve): Pros: Super friendly office and maintenance staff, we love the layout of our apartment and the size is perfect.Cons: SO much construction! I am a night shift CNA, and I have a lot of trouble sleeping from all the noise. It seems like there's a bunch of projects started, but whenever one gets completed, a new one starts up. I like that the take care of their apartments, but it makes it hard to enjoy the place.
Lennyx Grattan: This is one of the best apartment complexes I’ve lived in. Management is on top of everything and is very responsive. Lindsay is awesome! I feel safe, the complex is clean and I never have any issues with my unit. Planning on staying here as long as I can!
Gavin Hill: Raises the rent by atleast $100 on pretty much every unit and still doesn’t have the revenue to fix the gaping potholes located throughout the entire complex? Called multiple times, they’ve said each time they’re “receiving quotes” to get them fixed but this was over 2-3 months ago. Normally wouldn’t complain but these potholes are absolutely huge with the the potential to damage your vehicle. Besides this, an OK place to live. Nothing special.
Becky Gilbert: nice quiet apt
Rachel Nagy: I have not lived there, so I can't speak on that or quality of the units. But...I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication after putting down money to apply for a rental home. I had a few options and went with offices that communicated and treated me like my business mattered to them. A couple weeks have passed and I received no reply to more than one email. Not worth the cost or time in trying to secure housing in my opinion. Please consider customer service when running any type of business or people will shop around for places that care more.
Yasir Alrougui: The apartments are nice, but the rent is relatively high, and heat isolation is very bad, so it's costly in this aspect too.
Debbie Wright: I’ve been living here for 4 years. I love it! Staff is great and when something needs repair they are on it right away! Wonderful community to be a part of!!
Syed H.: Very poor customer service!! They don’t follow their promises like politicians! Extremely rude even it is their fault. Treat you like slave!! TRUE!!
Bill Wynne: Maitainance guy is extremely rude, the guy with spectacles / glasses. He will come with such an attitude like as if he is going to beat me. If he is not interested in working, why will he come as a maintainance guy. He won't do anything he will simply come and will say for every issue this is like that only every time. He shuts the door forcibly while leaving the house.
Evan Ford: My girlfriend and I have been living here since July and it has been extremely pleasant. Our renovated apartment is cozy and has a more modernized sensibility in its design. There are lots of windows for more natural lighting, which both of us really value, and the apartment itself is very spacious. Location is convenient, as it's right next door to Meijer and Kroger, and it's placed evenly between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, meaning you're never having to drive too far to get somewhere. The only complaints I have is that when we moved in, we came into a handful of maintenance issues that needed fixed. Our washer and dryer were both broken, which was unpleasant, and our garbage disposal was also broken. The good thing about the office here, though, is that they and the maintenance team were very quick to respond to those issues and accommodate us if they couldn't solve it straight away. I also don't care for the construction that's happening, but this is temporary and not indicative of the living situation at Ridgewood Apartments. All in all, I have really valued my time here at Ridgewood Apartments, and we're already talking about extending our lease next year. The customer service has been excellent and the renovated homes are wonderful.
Sarah Theunissen: Have zero complaints living here. Larry is amazing in the front office very attentive to service request. Been very happy since living here
Ashley Clement: We love Ridgewood Apartments. It’s a quiet & safe community where kids & pets are welcomed. The apartments are newly renovated with quality materials and are very cute. We’ve had incredible service since day one here, we’ve had to put in a couple of service requests for things that happened (like the lawn care people accidentally breaking one of our windows by throwing up rocks - we are on the garden level) and they respond and fix things very quickly. The pool was a huge hit with our son since the moment we moved in. We are close to anything and everything we need. The area has all the stores and restaurants you could imagine. We are about 12 mins from downtown Ann Arbor/ University of Michigan and 10 mins from Eastern Michigan University. We’ve been nothing but impressed & satisfied with being here!
Suzanne Schuon: Beautiful renovated apartment. I’ve been extremely happy to be here. I’ve been happy with the quick response to my maintenance requests.
Gopi: Lived in a renovated 2 bed apartmentTerrible! Terrible! Terrible!Snakes live right out side our apartment (Management keep saying they are safe garden snakes)both of my cars in the parking lot egged multiple times. Management doesnt careToo many maintenance issues. (very often A/C and heater do not work, water floods into the apartment for no reason, building drain is always blocked and sometimes you need to plan on living without using the bathroom)The only star is for the in unit washer and dryerOverall, the place is a slum. I don't recommend this place. There are better places for the same price near Ann Arbor area, I would've probably looked elsewhere

theCoderSchool: what do users think?
Kiran Lenz: This is such a gem of a place and I am grateful to have found it. I have both children enrolled and they love it. Moreover, the instructors (who are excellent) personalize the lessons to each student - so each of my children (each with very different interests and levels) both are excelling yet in different ways. Also, the space is very clean, everyone is kind and friendly, and Raj, the owner, is so wonderful and flexible. I highly recommend giving your kids the gift of this experience!
Christine Brackel: My 6th grader started here a few weeks ago and loves it so far! It's a very welcoming environment and he enjoys going both for classes and for the "open lab" time. The only downside is the price – it's definitely one of the more expensive activities my kids have done. But he is really enjoying it so we find it worthwhile.
Orgun Guralp: My son started CoderSchool in fall 2022 when he was seven and he LOVES it. Its literally the highlight of his week. He can't wait to get home and show me the latest project he's been working on.The teachers are awesome with the kids and they cater the curriculum individually for each student, letting them progress at their own pace. Its also a fun, friendly, inclusive atmosphere.I look forward to seeing what else my son learns as he continues his classes. If your child has any interest in coding or other related activities, I highly recommend CoderSchool!
Ping Zhou: My son started coding at theCoderSchool in the spring of 2021, then we move out of Michigan that summer, but my son is still learning from theCoderSchool online every week until right now. Nice owner and nice center and nice teachers. We appreciate!
Michael Bral: “Great school, let’s you 3D print, has an Xbox and has great teachers!” That’s what my 8 year old thinks about Raj and The Coder School. Higher praise I cannot imagine.
Will Simon: Great program for children. My 8 and 10 year old are signed up and love it. We've been going for about a year and they learn new concepts every session. The owner is great as well and a big part of why we signed up.
Matthew Davenport: Fantastic place to learn and gain exposure to coding. The owner is a wonderful person and very friendly.
Nichole Burnside: I appreciate the theCoderSchool for helping my son achieve his dream of learning to code!
Holly Rawlins: I only had one of my children enrolled.. he enjoys it so much that he was teaching his brother and now they both attend! They love it and the notifications from the instructors each week on what they are learning helps me see their progress.
Shawn Marie Abuel: My son started at Coder School in April 2022 and he absolutely loves coding and he is dropped off early for lab time and stays later after his lesson to work on his project! He also likes to go on a different day and just work in the lab. His teacher Jakob is wonderful and so patient and kind and he has been with my son since the beginning. Lastly Raj the owner is so kind and patient and he truly is doing this for the kids and it’s a fun safe place for our kids😃
Kelly Williams: Very instrumental in my sons coding/robotics journey… Raj is the best!
Elizabeth Bisaro: My girls loved going to theCoderSchool. The only reason we had to stop going was because they led us to believe that it would be no problem rescheduling class times during the summer and that wasn't the case. We wasted money not being to reschedule toward the end but if you can make each class and not go through their not-so-convenient rescheduling process than it is so worth it!
Chris K: CoderSchool was a great first time formal coding experience for my son. Environment is super friendly, non-intimidating, upbeat, and fun for the kids. Raj (owner) is awesome- super laid back and a good communicator and good correspondent. Curriculum was flexible. Definitely would recommend for any school age kid.
Amy Zelenka: If you kid(s) are into coding, this is a great place! Our son loves it and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable!
Aumimports Aumimports: Raj the owner is wonderful. My child does not want to skip even one lesson. There are many options for classes- in person or online. Summer camps are excellent as well, teaching kids exciting programs and robotics.
Indhumathi Vishnuvarthan: My kids are going to the Coder School. It is a very good place to learn coding. The best part is that we can go there and practice coding anytime.
Andrea Jones: My son absolutely loves coding at theCoderSchool! He has learned so much and is really excelling with the help of the coaches. He is able to work on projects that are of interest to him. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
Justin Lee: If your kid is into coding like mine is, then this is the place to be! The owner’s passion for education is palpable and the environment is inviting and fun. They even encourage me to drop my kid off to hang out and code when I’m out and about!I literally cannot say enough good things about this new place. Thanks, guys ~ keep it up!🌟🙏🌟
J Watkins: Positive:Communication,Quality,Value
J S: Great concept. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Wael Hamade: Positive:ProfessionalismSo happy with the service, I’ve referred friends so that their kids can enjoy and learn more.
