SafeHouse Center: what do users think?
Djehuty Mes: There services are seriously biased! But our society doesn't recognize men being victims! So it only makes perfect sense why they don't assist men from their perpetrators! Their mission and vision are surely lies! Their services are only for women spite what their mission and vision for abuse victims state on the home page! It's really sad in a sad pathetic sort of way that they feel it's ok for men to be abused but not women?! That nullifies their open ended mission spoken generally as if they assist women and men of abusive partners! Unfortunately that is the farthest thing from the reality of this establishment/non-profit organization. It's sad to see our society come to this level of audacity! They say men can get victimized but not women?! It's what it is I'm guessing!🇩🇪
Jada McGowan: Person answering phone was rude ,not suitable to someone's needs calling in for a situation which isn't pleasant
De'Shanel Phelps: Wish they hired people who actually care about helping others instead of selling them dreams. Overall I did majority of the things myself which I should have anyways but my advocate was terrible and she Definitely has a lying problem. I asked to switch advocates they wouldn't. She never met with me weekly and I felt as if she didnt care about my needs. She'd schedule to do something with me then just bail on me and act like everything is cool. I just got my apartment and I asked my advocate to help me get furniture and she told me she was too busy! She hasn't helped me with anything she helped me with one major thing that was it a bill other than that she sucked at giving resources and helping. They need to hire people who aren't rude and disrespectful this is a domestic violence shelter they don't know our situation or anything but got the nerve to be rude.
splatlandz: the people who run this place are TERRIBLE people. you guys throw women in a DITCH when they call the poilce. you guys also take hundreds of thousands of dollars of food and dont give it to the people there. you force people to buy their own food. you are all horrible. you traumitized me and so many other people. i hope this place gets shut down.
Megan Murphy: I was here 7 years ago and was in a horrible situation. I was very fortunate to be there. Thank you for your help.
Kimberlee Beydoun: Excellent !!
Kathleen Martin: A great place that helps people experiencing domestic violence.
Audrion Patterson: Alot of restrictions, this place gave me a piece of mind. Thank you !
Jennifer Kline: Very helpful and professional
Marta Dabis: Wish their PR could reach more people when they need safety and support.
Daniela Bartels: They do not accept donated used baby clothes and gear. They only accept new items per health code regulations. I find that very ridiculous. I didn't want good quality items to be re-sold but they told me to go to a thrift store to get rid of the items. Sad
Timothy Toth: Thank you for being there at my time of need your very kind it was a great experience hoping to return in the future
Birdy X: This is a wonderful and peaceful atmosphere for people that are escaping abuse,P.s. remember this shelter is only for short term safety potection and not gaurteened long term parnment housing (assistance). This place is smooth, relaxing, and a peace of mind
Kennethia Hoyle: This is an amazing place, I learned so much and grew a lot, after going through a really hard time with my Assailant and a car accident, I think coming here was the best decision I made, the staff was amazing and the best, they made me feel so welcome, even though I was scared at first, I made some lifelong friends and learned so much, The therapy was great too, this whole place is all around amazing, I’m never going to forget the hospitality , thank you Brianna, Trudy , Kaylin , Arianna , Ulga , Angel , And so many more I can’t spell all the names but you know who you are , Thank you for being there for me and helping me grow.
Erine Marie: Amazing staff!
Lakeisha Newman: I would of gave five stars but the advocate ola didnt help me. She lied on me then on top of that they put me out four days before my due date. (Yes Im nine months pregnant)
Monika Sacks: Safe House provides essential community services in education, prevention of domestic violence and supporting victims and their children.
Tiffany Marra: Great organization, serving families in need.
Krystel Varner: This place should be to help women who are hurt and you guys have a women in there now who should not even be in there she ain't being hurt and she lied to get in there. Do research before just letting any one in there
Sara Riggs: I wanted to get some information and I cannot talk openly on the phone for Im sure obvious reasons. I asked about an email or an online chatting support person? That would be helpful because I coukld really use the help with the situation I am in.
Keasha LeClear-Morse: Very disappointed in SafeHouse Center in Ann Arbor, Mi once again. I do have to say that when I was going through my divorce, they helped me incredibly, especially the support group, and the legal advocate program. However, because of my disabilities, I was unable to stay there long-term and had to stay at the Red Roof Inn - they do not accommodate people with disabilities well. Last year, I tried to volunteer with them and found that they do not work well with disabled volunteers, either. I made some suggestions, but they were not open to them. Finally, assuming I might move that winter, I let it go. I applied once again this year and after discussing with them options again that would accommodate my disabilities, they turned me down with regrets that they were unable to work around my disabilities. Now...I don't have extreme disabilities, it's not hard to accommodate me...and I made suggestions, I was even going to donate accessible hardware to them. But alas, they do not embrace able-ism, which is a shame. Being turned down as a volunteer because I have a few minor special needs? Not cool for a non-profit organization. I am an intelligent, compassionate, loving, experienced, valuable person...they are missing out big time. I'm very sad that I cannot reach out to the people that could use my help due to a few minor disability issues.

Washtenaw County Pros Attorney: what do users think?
Andrew Brown: Eli Savit - UofM Slappynuff said
reyno330: Eli Savit lol
Angela: Dealing with this Prosecuting Office and Victims Advocate unit is asking to be revictimized all over again. There is absolutely no checks and balances and as a victim/survivor I would highly suggest people seek alternative remedies for justice because you will not get it from the this office.
Killing In The Name Of: I’m not sure anyone would notice if the judges and prosecutors (prostituters) were replaced with monkeys in suits and black robes. Most incompetent group of government “officials” I’ve encountered. Immoral and incompetent! I swear they all just draw things out for as long as possible to justify their meaningless jobs. If I could, I’d post a rating of negative five stars.

Ann Arbor Police Department: what do users think?
Luc Hascall: This organization engages in predatory policing against college students strapped for cash. Very disappointing for a group that's supposed to protect an support a community
Seth Mccormack: Car was wrongfully towed on city street. I was in a zone that had no signs prohibiting parking, but was still towed and forced to pay $400. The police seek little more than to extort the student population for profit.
Greg Mengelt: Only dealt with the police once, but they listened and were respectful.
Miles Hirsch: Parking tickets on move out day.Shame on you
Leann M: I would leave zero stars.......We have lived in Ann Arbor for over 20 years and raised our 4 kids. We LOVE this city. In the 20 years, thankfully we have had little interaction with the local Ann Arbor police outside of a few incidents. My husband was robbed at Washtenaw Rec Center over 20 years ago. The Ann Arbor Police was completely useless. They refused to do anything. In this incident, Ypsilanti police was FAR more useful and provide superior customer service.March 31, 2022: our youngest daughter's truck broke down at the corner of Eisenhower & Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. Ann Arbor Police was sitting at the corner gas station. While our daughter sat there and called her father to help her, this cop did NOTHING. My husband arrived, called our towing service, and then drove our daughter home so she wouldn't be late for her online Zoom class. On his way back (all within 20 minutes), this lazy cop, who never go out of his car to ask if help was needed did call to have our truck impounded. We were informed when our tow truck guy said that our daughter car's wasn't there. When my husband called Ann Arbor Police department, AGAIN, they were completely useless in additional to lying. When my husband told this cop on the phone about the other cop just sitting there watching (our daughter has a photos of it all), the cop on the phone tried to tell my husband that he didn't know what cop called to have the truck towed. I know for a fact that this is a lie...... If you have worked for any government agencies, you know everything is documented, including who has requested the action. So, when you have law enforcement lying about the smallest things, they lose credibility on top of it.When you have incidences like this, it really makes you wonder what local police purpose really is. Clearly is not to help tax payers or stop crime, but rather run a racket with Sakstrups' and harass college students. The local police, should operate as a community service. Not horrible hall monitors that are completely useless. When tax payers are asked to support their local enforcement? It will be incidences like this that will remind me and our WHOLE family how useless this department is to local tax payers.
Judith DeWoskin: With deep gratitude and thanks to Cadet Baldwin and Officer Anuszkiewicz.
Destin Wellman: I am 17, my car broke down on the highway and when I called for help it took less than 20 min for officers to get to me and help me out. Thanks!
Eli: Very professional and friendly officers.
Michael Hogan: I have always found your accommodations to be reasonably good, however the food is not 5 star.
Fotios Tsadis: The best, very helpful
David Russell: Average rating 2.8 starsI have lived in Ann Arbor for almost 20 years - 11 of those years as a homeowner, 6 years as a student renter and another few years as a renter and park caretaker. First, I want to say these guys have a rough job, especially in Ann Arbor - A really diverse population has a really diverse pool of experiences and expectations. Let me highlight a few interactions over the years. My first interaction with Ann Arbor Police was around 1998 - I lived on E. Jefferson. I was out on a Friday night walking with a big gulp cup full of apple juice on a nice summer night across from the original Blimpy Burger location on the corner of Packard and Division. Two bicycle policemen pull up and ask me what is in the cup - my response - "none of your business" ( I know, real mature, right? my only defense is I was a 20 year old smart alec). The first officer asks me to poor out my drink - I respond, "no thank you." They tackle me to the ground and poor out my drink for me. Put me through a sobriety test, which I pass and they let me go. No apologies, no extra roughing up other than pinning me to the ground until my drink was spilled all over. I would rate this a 1 star interactionFast forward to 2003 - no longer a student - living at the Leslie Science and Nature Center as the caretaker - two bikes were stolen, they were not locked up. I accept fault, a report is made over the phone. No officers come out - no bikes are ever found. I imagine in Ann Arbor a lot of bikes go missing. Not sure if I expect more. I would rate this a 2 to 3 star interaction.2009 we buy a house in the Eberwhite neighborhood. In the last 10 years I cars have been broken into 8 times. I called on at least 4 of them. Everytime, professional and courteous response from the front desk. Most times, I see an increased presence in my neighborhood for about a week maybe two. (note every break in follows a time a car has inadvertently been left unlocked - every break-in involves just some minor missing change - one of the times I call, they tell me they already have a suspect in hand and that they hit multiple cars on our street) - I would rate these interactions 4 to 5 stars - we are at fault for leaving cars open, each time a report was filed and police presence increased in the area for a short timeA few weeks ago car gets broken into again. This time a purse was left in the car. Credit cards stolen and used between 4 am and 6 am when the police wake us by knocking on our door at 6 am. Police are professional and courteous and do not cast blame or dispersions for leaving the doors unlocked or purse in car. They walk multiple blocks towards the Speedway gas station and help locate many missing credit cards, bank cards, membership cards - search trash at gas station - This is most definitely a 5 start interaction.Today - Memorial Day 5/27/19 - my partner and four kids are at Vets Park Pool. One of the children does not close the slide door of the minivan all the way. After a three hour swim, battery is dead. Two units - two SUVs with officers in both parked side by side one facing each direction chatting. My 6 year old daughter asks if they have cables and could help with a jump. Their only response, but friendly, (at least the only one I know of) is to recommend checking with the fire department - they no longer carry jumper cables. This was at 5 pm. I am at work (I am a teacher and it is Memorial Day, so I should not be at work, but this is what we do to provide a quality education, we go above and beyond - so I am at work) Wife calls me - I leave work, it takes me about 40 minutes to get to my wife and four stranded daughters in the parking lot of Vet's Park - Both SUV units are still sitting in the parking lot, chatting away. At this point, I feel like Ann Arbor Police Department can remove the "To Serve" from "To Serve and Protect." If those officers were truly interested in helping, they could have driven over to the fire department instead of expecting a woman stranded with four kids to do so. 1 star.
edith o'brien: don’t get me started
Mckinley Garcia: Trash
NinjutsuDensho: The officers here completely ignore facts, logic, reason etc., and instead just make up what they want to be the truth in their mind then use that on the official paperwork. Miswrite tickets, cause all sorts of expensive problems for locals. Basically just don't ever even talk to or involve with these people. The community would be better off if they were disbanded.
Zachary DeGeorge (gadfly): Only because I can't give a 0 star
Chris Heaton: I manage rental property in the downtown environs of Ann Arbor. I get absolutely no sense that the police can quickly and effectively deal with problems associated with street people and drug dealing in Ann Arbor. I manage a property on State St where a street person routinely urinates on the front door to our building and another property across from Liberty Square where drug dealing and harassment of women is a chronic daily problem. I call the police on behalf of my tenants - they tell me the tenant needs to call. The tenant calls. They never see a response and never sense that heightened monitoring happens. The problems persist - over years! I'm all for compassion and mental health initiatives but when someone isn't doing their job thoroughly and my job gets harder because of it I have a right to be cynical about police priorities and effectiveness. The police need to get back into the business of putting their hands on people who do these sorts of things and take them away immediately. Instead they lower speed limits on Plymouth Rd and issue speeding tickets to the good taxpayers of Ann Arbor. There should be a "hierarchy of needs" imposed on the police and, as an example, entrapment of motorists for small offenses in crosswalks should not be allowed until drug dealing, vagrancy and theft are thoroughly under control inn the city. It seems apparent that we pay too much and get too little of the really hard work we should demand of the police. And all of these problems will be made worse with the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Graeme Rogerson: The police are very aggressive & contact with them should NEVER be made / called.
Kelli Lane: I just had a citizens question and Officer Tiles went over and beyond to make sure I received the answer I needed for peace of mind. I am giving gratitude to The Ann Arbor Police for all the good they do do. What a sacrifice of time and service. Thank you and prayers and blessings!!
Ashley Lynch: My friend was pulled over around 3am in my car for being .01 over the limit. That is not my issue. My car was towed leaving me carless and inebriated on the side of the road. We were staying at a hotel about a mile up the road. When I asked for a ride back to my hotel they dismissed me and said it was a short walk back and left. I was drunk, phone dead, in a unfamiliar location and they left me on the side of the road with no assistance. I made it back to my room safely, no help to them. Broke a heel and fell in the grass because there was no side walk but still unharmed. They're supposed to be there to serve and protect and that was not done. I had never been so afraid and to be left like that on the side of the road left me absolutely appalled and disgusted.
Jay Rogers: Thank you for all you to do protect and serve our city. Thank you for patrolling the downtown streets. Thank you for community engagement with citizens.

Grabel & Associates: what do users think?
Nicholas Pierce: The Grabel & Associates law firm is by far one of the best! They are very hard working individuals and get straight to business. If you ever find yourself in a pinch don't hesitate to get in touch with the Grabel & Associates
Dail Debruyne: To say that Scott Grabel and his team of lawyers saved my life is not an overstatement by any means. I was facing 22.5 years in prison on multiple accounts. He had a lawyer that specialized in every aspect of my case. There was need for an interlocutory appeal and he had his top appellate attorney Timmothy Doman handle it with with unbelievably favorable results. When it came time for trial he had his trial specialist attorney Bill Mcririe lead the way to full acquittal. Throughout the process Scott was available morning, night, and weekends with great legal advice. I couldn't have gotten through this nightmare without him. If you need a fantastic attorney with the ability to obtain unachievable results, I have full confidence in Grabel and associates. They WILL get you through it. His rates are incredibly low compared to the service you get. I believe Scott and his legal team are some of the best, if not THE best criminal defense you can get in the state of Michigan.
P. Man: 24 hour answering service took my needs seriously. I was called back in just a few hours, even on a weekend. They are professionals that know exactly what they're doing.
Jill Reager: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value. Bill Amadeo is an amazing lawyer and the only person to call in Shiawassee
N Kahn: Good and courteous people make you feel bless and at home!Very professional people!
Kyle Bradley: Well I was looking at not getting out of jail but let alone prison and Scott helped get me and keep me out! Then after he kept me out Scott told me if I kept my nose clean and not get arrested that it would be off my record and as of last Monday it is off my Record!Thank you Scott and Joe and everyone at Grabel and Associates!
Joseph T Bologna: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Lisa Chris: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBill Amadeo of Grabel and Associates goes above and beyond. He cares about his clients and is willing to fight. I highly recommend this firm.
Angela Arnone: Watching Bill Amadeo stand up to Judge Swartz and the U of M attorneys while fighting for Bobby Reyes is what lawyers are supposed to be. If I ever need a lawyer I will be calling this firm.
bobbi west: J.D.As a young black man, it is terrifying facing a charge in any court let alone Macomb County. My family was terrified when they read stories about Nathan Hatchette and Ken Wynienko. I did not want to be just another statistic. Bill Amadeo made sure that I was not another statistic!!! I am forever grateful to that me. I highly recommend Grabel and Associates for your criminal law needs.P
Edward O'Brien: P.L.Our nephew was facing serious time for a crime that he did not commit, felt helpless. We called Grabel and Associates and had Bill Amadeo assigned to the case. Bill protected my nephew and we will forever be grateful.
Jill Reag: T.M.I first heard of Bill Amadeo when I read about the Darian Smith-Blackmon case. The prosecutor charged this poor young man with murder and Bill Amadeo stepped up to the plate. Thanks to Bill, Darian under the care that he needs and not rotting in a prison cell. There are very few lawyers such as Bill Amadeo. I highly recommend this firm for all criminal needs.
Nico Brossi: M.M.I first met Bill Amadeo when I watched the Eric Coleman trial. Eric was a friend of mine and was facing a lot of time in prison. Bill fought the war and got a not guilty verdict. There is not a better criminal defense lawyer in Detroit than Bill Amadeo.
Ryland Keith: Great team. Friendly and make ya feel like family. Would definitely recommend
Bobbi Creagh: Positive:Professionalism,Responsiveness,ValueWilliam Amadeo, best in wayne county! Life saver, forever grateful.
cat 667: William "Bill" Amadeo is one of the best criminal defense attorneys I have ever met. His knowledge of criminal law and his litigation skills are unmatched.People often say they want a "bulldog" lawyer - meaning someone strong enough to not give up the fight. That is William. I am an attorney myself and I can honestly say that William is the one I would call upon if I was facing any type of criminal charge because he is a true contender and defender of justice!
Honeyy Bunn: William Amadeo went above and beyond for my case. His outcome was AMAZING especially considering the charges I was facing. He worked tirelessly with my case and was there to answer any questions I had at ANY TIME! I would definitely recommend him to anyone who finds themselves in any legal trouble and I PROMISE you will not be let down. HE IS THE BEST!!!
Ro Black: If i could give these guys a Ten Star rating i absolutely would Their are the most helpful and friendly team I've ever hired they treat you as a part of their family. Their advice is golden and a God's send they have never told me any wrong they are a hands on team that goes out their way to see the task at hand complete these guys are worth every penny nickle dime and quarter too
Corinna Colegrove: William Amedeo from Scott Grabel and associates is an outstanding attorney! His reputation proceeds him. He was instrumental in a case which involved my family. He put a stop to the injustice that was about too happen. Scott Grabel’s team is the best!
Franky Google: Best Lawyer got all my charges dismissed Very very professional showed up on time this company is worth every penny he is the best of the best
the pretty great: I never thought me or anyone in my family would find it necessary to hire a defense attorney, but when the time came that it was basically mandatory, Scott Grabel and his associates came through on my family’s behalf. My husband was facing a 20 yr felony over total meaningless family drama and I knew I had to get representation quick! I called Grabel and associates, talked to both Daniel Trudo and Scott Grabel himself. They were very knowledgeable and understanding of the entire situation. They then appointed me one of their awesome attorneys by the name of Will Amadeo. He was attentive, knowledgeable and aggressive! This was exactly what we needed in an attorney. He fought the case successfully, it was dismissed and my husband is here at home with me and our 18 month old son. I couldn’t thank you guys enough for fighting to save my family, especially you Will!
