Anna's House - Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Patricia Carroll: Delicious. Had Anna's skillet. Took home leftovers and had enough for 3 more meals.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
jawahir fadel: They can not accommodate a big group. I went with a group of nine and the hostess told us she can't get us one table. She was also rude about it.Service: 1/5 …More
Marc-Grégor Campredon: The service is actually amazing. When the place is packed it is still efficient and the food is served warm and as you wish. If something is wrong they correct the order in no time.So what is this place? I would resume by simply saying it is an upscaled - hypster - dîner. And this should already be enough to convince you.The atmosphere is fun and simple, the place is super clean, the tables are spaces to give you enough privacy. Everything is comfortable. As for the food, you have the staples and many have a personal and unique twist (hint to M&Ms pancake!).Probably, since Nick's stopped, the best place for waffle and pancake in a 30 miles radius.Everything is tasty and made with enough quality to be good as expected - and in many case beyond. Making definitely an upgrade to the classic diner! Is it expensive? For an upscaled hypster in Ann Arbor brunch place? It is actually not that far from a low key diner - so it is very fair. Especially considering that the serving are copious.5* no question.
William Bitonti: Food was bland. No seasoning (salt or pepper). The eggs tasted like they were quickly done on a flat top, the bacon and hash browns were alright but the potatoes lacked flavor. The server was nice and the ambience was cute.Highlight was the toast.
Nikhil Kolhatkar: The rating is purely based on food. Service and ambience are excellent. If you have a palette that likes sweet and savory foods, this is not the place. The food is extremely bland . Even the the dish which is suppose to be full of flavors is bland. I think I can compare the food to what you get at Day care or at a hospital . No salt, no pepper , and no sugar . If you are health conscious and want organic stuff then you will enjoy it here.
Ian McGhee: Tasty, quick, and reasonably priced. The perfect breakfast on a Wednesday morning
kevin a: First time. Got a breakfast burrito and a breakfast lasagna. Both were delicious.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes The Famous Breakfast Lasagna …More
Laura Laudick: Just moved to the area and found this place on Google, and I’m SO glad we did!! It was absolutely delicious and a super enjoyable experience from start to finish. Food, AMAZING. Staff, wonderful. And THE VIBE. It’s so cute!! Can’t wait for our next visit.
VICTORIA EVANS: Food is always coolFood: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Gator Mouse: This is a bit further away from the central campus as it is near the Briarwood Mall. The restaurant’s interior reminded us of a candy store as it is decorated with paste colors and has a whimsical ambience. Their coffee is pretty good and their breakfast options are solid. The avocado toast was good with fresh fruits. Solid omelettes and crepes as well. The restaurant allows their customers to join the waitlist online so we recommend joining the waitlist about 10 mine prior to arrival so that you don’t have to wait as much to get seated.
Jacqueline A: Wow! My French toast and bacon were out of this world. Seriously! I'm obsessed with their French toast and syrup. I can't wait to come back and try more on the menu. Also the service was great. Our server was so polite, friendly and knowledgeable. My friend has dietary restrictions and he made sure to find out any answer or concern she had. I was very impressed with my first visit. Looking forward to my next!
Lauren Valko: Went here for the first time today for brunch with friends. Such a great experience! They have an entire vegan section and offer vegan eggs, vegan sausage, and vegan pancakes and waffles! AND it’s all so delicious. Generous portions that left me with leftovers for later too. And our server was very nice and attentive. Can’t wait to go back.
Bridget Krause: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
T Jones: Variety of tasty treats! Breakfast was wonderful. We had a group of 7 people, 5 adults and 2 children. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were served quickly and the food was hot. Our server was very personable and attentive. The decor is super interesting- retro items tastefully displayed. Great experience!
Carrie Webster: AMAZING food and such fun dishes. The banana french toast was amazing and the cinnamon roll is HUGE. Great experience and fun decorations. Would definitely go back.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes French Toast …More
Mitch Webster: Very nice diner. Great food, atmosphere was very nice and quiet. The wet breakfast burrito was amazing!Parking: Lots of spaces right next to the complex.
robert zarzar: What a breakfast!!!! Very loud, so be ready. Share the sweet roll - crazy good. No reservations, so get there early and prepare to wait. You won't regret it.Parking: Parking could be dicey at peak hours. Check the seating load stats to plan.
Stephen Jones: Simply wonderful! The atmosphere, staff and food were all amazing. Highly recommend stopping by.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Hippie Hash, Eggs Benedict, Scrambled Eggs, California Dreamin' Avocado Toast …More
Ricardo Martinez: Randomly stopped in with my daughter for breakfast. Service was really efficient. Served within 15 mins of seating, done in 30. Food was fresh, definitely had home-made vibes. For the service and food quality it was worth every penny. Will definitely be back and recommend.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and Vegan options
Sin Addams: I've been here a couple of times. Its a chain coney island, wrapped in bourgeoisie*edit*I won't argue with owners. I'll just eat at Avalon's when I want the same experience but with actual poached eggs
Zach Wilkinson: Know your sweetness limits. This place can unexpectedly exceed them.Table service follows the current subdued, introverted trend.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Litzey Garcia: food is good but there are a few things that are very frustrating. for the second time now, they have stolen money from me as i put the tip on my credit card and when the total charge is updated in my statements, they always give themselves more than the amount i put down (ex: i put a $7 tip and then take $11 from me instead.) i let it slide before because it was only a few dollars but it keeps happening and it’s ridiculous. also, just my personal opinion but giving the bill before/at the same time you give the client the food just gives off the vibe that you are rushing them to finish up and pay. this is the only restaurant i’ve seen this at. really sad because i usually love the food but these reoccurring issues seem really inappropriate to make as a company.
Victoria Major: Me and my mom are from out of town and stopped in for breakfast here. It was amazing. It's a cute diner with amazing decor, amazing service and fantastic food. We highly recommend coming to this place.
Sandra Peterson: Great meal in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We'd like to go back and try other menu items, all of which look delicious. I also took home some soup and a dessert.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

Warren: A really nice place to get breakfast/brunch food in Ann Arbor. I used to live just around the corner and was here at least once a month. One of the best diner omelettes I've found anywhere in the USA.I'd give this place five stars if it weren't for the fact that I've seen other customers upset that things were not moving along more quickly. It is a busy place, so "things happen".... but, hate to say it, they seem to treat regulars better.
Venus “Venie” Heard: Great food and loved it
Gabriel Heinemann: The best classic diner in Ann Arbor. Hearty portions, classic tastes, and charming staff. The raisin bread French toast, southwest wrap, and country breakfast bowl are some of my favorites. If you’re in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch, make this your first stop.
Kristin Walker: Not worth it. Spent almost $30 for slow service (at least 50 minutes of waiting after placing our order), small portions, and flavorless food with no apology from anyone for the wait. There are plenty of other quality restaurants in Ann Arbor that deserve, and are worth, your money and time.
Kenneth Koorhan: Great service, friendly staff, and great food. We had delicious split pea with ham soup today and it was flavorful!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
J W: A great small local Diner in Ann Arbor. Wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning around 8:30am with most seats available ordered take out and food was quick and delicious. It was $28 after two omelets and tax which seemed a tad pricey but it was the convenience for me.Parking: Huge parking lot with a lot of spots available.

Mario Calero: Food was ok at best… steak and eggs breakfast with a side of pancakes cost $32 before tip. I’ve been on dates to IHOP cheaper for 2 people including tip!

Kimberly S: Can't rave enough about this place!! From the minute we walked in, we felt a warm inviting vibe, followed by the quick seating with pleasant conversation and recommendations on the menu. The food was delivered quickly and was just as amazing as the service. Homemade deliciousness served with a smile!! 😁
Msacer 55: I’ve always loved the breakfast here!Great cooks! Good coffee. The couple of times I’ve been there for lunch was nice also.
Barbara: Great family-owned restaurant. We love it for breakfast!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Amelia Bateman: I am here a few times every summer. I like their outdoor seating area. It's a good place to sit with kids. The food is decent. I would compare it to a Coney Island. However, the prices are significantly more expensive. What you would get for $6 at a Coney you pay $8-$9 for at Holidays. The staff is always lovely. There seems to be something slightly wrong with the order each time we visit. For example a well burger comes out medium or a request to hold the tomatoes and it comes with tomatoes. I will likely go back when it's convenient.

Yolanda Renico: Horrible EXPENSIVE food. For 2 adults and 2 toddlers our bill was over $50. Servers were very nice.I got the breakfast burrito for over $11 which was maybe 3 eggs with shredded half cooked potato on a cheap white tortilla, with a pinch of cheese crusted on top (salsa and sour cream on the side). Not a crumb of seasoning to be seen anywhere in the vicinity of the burrito. You'd think for $11+ I'd have a little avocado, onion, maybe some bell pepper, cheese INSIDE, or at least a single granule of salt, but no.The 2nd meal was the "Hearty Breakfast". $13+, one of the more pricey meals, included 2 strips of floppy bacon, 2 overcooked eggs, a paper thin slice of ham, 2 cheap hotel quality sausage links, and 2 small pancakes that looked like something served up at a child's summer camp. The children's meals were over $7 each and that got each ONE slice of bread (they called it French toast), and 2 slices of the aforementioned floppy bacon. That's it.This is boomer-tier food completely devoid of even the thought of seasoning and flavor. Spend your $50 literally anywhere else. A pack of bacon, a dozen eggs, and krusteaz pancake mix would set you back less than $20. Even a generic coney island puts more thought into their food. We won't be back.

David Shearer: It's becoming harder to find family restaurants, particularly ones that serve cooked from scratch comfort food. Holiday's doesn't disappoint. They roast their own turkey's, you'll find tiny lumps in their real mashed potatoes, a wait staff that genuinely engages with customers, and everything on the very extensive menu at moderate prices.

Tony Markel: Look, this isn't your typical greasy spoon or high end "diner". This is the Fleetwood. The coffee is hot and plentiful. The pancakes, bacon, hash and eggs are hot and tasty. Maddison Lanctot: Went here late night for drunk food (because the food is not good enough to eat sober- it’s mediocre at best) and we had the worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. They were so rude to us and we ended up getting takeout because we felt we were not at all welcomed. It was really disappointing.EDIT: went here again (not by choice) for my friends birthday and had to use the restroom and had a horrible experience in the restroom even. So dirty and gross. In the basement and was super hard to find- someone had to tell me how to get there (a customer bc the staff is useless). This might be the worst place I’ve ever dined and that is saying a lot because I am not picky
Andrii Medvediev: Are you serious? This place has a rating of 4.3 out of 5, but I would rate it a 0! It's extremely unsanitary. The person preparing food doesn't wear gloves. When I tried to take a photo of the dirty kitchen, they prohibited me from doing so. The food here is absolutely disgusting. French fries and chicken cooked in old oil. It's the worst place I've had chicken in USA. Please, do not go there.
Benjamin Meza-Wilson: If you need a place to hang out for 30-90 minutes waiting for great food this is your place. Punks and townies can be found here. The place has unique atmosphere, stickers line the inside surfaces, and the restroom is a dungeon downstairs. Cleanliness wouldn't be a five star, but that's not a review category. They have outdoor seating when it's nice out. Directly across from the Grotto on Ashley Street.
kizzy wade: This place is really dirty. The lady who wo rk there is rude. There is only one cook. The bathroom is nasty. But the food is good. I don't want to eat at a nasty restaurant again. They need to clean up that place really bad. They should shut it down.
Mark G: I was here with my young daughter and ordered chicken strips and fries for her. I ordered a medium Greek salad for myself. The bill was over $25. I asked about it because the chicken/fries on the kid menu was $7.59 and the medium Greek salad was 8.99. The waitress said she gave my daughter the regular size chicken/fries and that I should’ve told her I wanted the kid size. I didn’t know there was a regular size so when I saw it on the kid menu I just ordered it.but, fine, I’ll accept responsibility for that. But I was charged for the large Greek salad when I asked for medium. I know for sure that I asked for the medium because I wasn’t very hungry and only ordered something so my daughter wouldn’t be eating alone. I would’ve ordered a small if it was available. The medium was ridiculously small. Literally 2 olives, 2 slices of beet, 1 slice of tomato, 2 perpperocinis, lettuce, and feta cheese. And a pita bread. I won’t be going back.
Chrissy Rankin: Cute, Tiny Diner.. Good on price. OPEN 24 Hours.. Fast and Friendly.. Cute, Hippie ish Cook ....Parking: Park in the parking garage.. Or try to find Street Parking..
Andrew Yap: Greasy and satisfying
kulawik thomas: It has taken me so long to leave this review because I was so truly disgusted I couldn't bring myself to even THINK about this place after my experience. I came here for dinner with my friends and I ordered a basic reuben. I was eating and not paying too much attention until I noticed a small black hair, maybe about an inch or less. I was obviously grossed out but then I looked a bit closer and realized there were HUNDREDS (not hundreds actually but maybe like 50 hairs) of these hairs all over the plate and in my food. I was stunned, thinking how on earth could these have gotten here. It wasn't until I turned my head over to look into the kitchen and saw one of the chefs, with a black beard, scratching his beard over the food while cooking. And that is when I realized. Why didn't I say anything to the staff that night? I had already eaten like half of this sandwich. It took everything in me to not throw up right there. I was so horrified and disgusted (and almost embarrassed?) that I ran out of there and told my friends I had to leave immediately. I couldn't even tell my friends until the next day because I was so sick to my stomach. This has by far been the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant.DO NOT GO HERE IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!! If you want an a good diner go to Northside Grill.

Bruce Popejoy: Stopped in with a friend I invited to dinner. As we entered the restaurant we were told online orders only...no one was getting their orders taken...I stated we will see. Seems the manager does that when they get busy at times...so beware.I was there because my school advertised for two weeks a fundraiser, and on my way out I saw some of my students and their parents leaving as they were told online orders as well. Wonder how much money my school lost by having students and their parents sent off.Once at the counter I pulled out my flier from the school and made it clear I was not ordering on my phone that it was on the flier that I could order from the counter...which was finally allowed. The food I ordered was cold, very wet and barely edible. I think they rushed my order, which contained my guest, so I would leave. I proceeded to eat my food and visit with my guest...who plans on never returning to this location.I do not want to see the manager get fired, but realize actions have consequences... something we teach students daily and we all can learn through life. The reason they were probably busy was because to weeks of seeing fliers, hearing about the fundraiser and seeing the digital announcements in the building made an impact on students and their parents. As I was clearing my table a group of college students arrived...all of them were able to place their orders...

habaloneh: Service leaves a lot to be desired. But what made me post this is arrogance . Terrible attitudes and worse pricing even in this era of high cost everything
Caitlin K: delicious food!
Jangwon Choi: Food was good, they seem to have seasonal(?) specials besides their regular menu. Seating is limited as the name suggests.
William Griffin: Simply the best scratch kitchen in Ann Arbor.
Amy Amy: 자극적,짜지않고 건강한 맛Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
Anna: I used them to cater an event last summer and people are STILL talking about how delicious the food was! And not just one item stood out, everything was fantastic! They were so accommodating and helpful; really enjoyed working with the staff. Also, I used the small event catering option where I picked up the food vs them bringing it and having staff at the event. It was exactly what I needed for the event as it wasn't too big. I highly recommend them!
Marissa Nicole: I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the menu and catering was here. EAT catered an event for us on campus yesterday and it was the best experience! They arrived early, set up was a breeze, and all of the food was delicious! (I tried one of everything) they by far have the best sweet potato pie I’ve ever had. I will definitely recommend EAT for future catering events and plan to frequent the restaurant more!
JY C: I prevented covid-20 when I took a bite of the cubano sandwich which was so euphoric it gave me prescient vision. You're welcome.
Chocolette Designs: I have not met a more miserable staff.
Carissa Schmidt: We hired Eat to cater our wedding this summer, and, as much as we really wanted to like working with them, it was entirely frustrating and we would not recommend them to anyone in the future. The Good: The best part of working with Eat was that they handled the rentals for dishes, utensils, water goblets, and champagne flutes, and we appreciated that we were easily able to upgrade to gold flatware. They would have handled the rentals for linens as well, but they were far more expensive than just buying them ourselves. We also LOVED our bartenders (Scotty & Zhandy), who were hired through Eat. Being able to add on a late night snack was also a fun aspect of working with Eat. We added the build-your-own coney dog bar, and it went over well with our guests. The Bad: Working with Kayla was anything but easy. I overlooked a lot of red flags, writing them off as, "She's probably super busy since 2021 is a hectic wedding year after 2020 being a bust". And I'm sure that Kayla was busy, but when we are spending a large chunk of money for catering, we expect a certain level of professionalism. Kayla was not timely at all and was so disorganized. To give some examples--1) when trying to schedule a tasting, it took almost a month and 2 follow-up emails to her just to hear back about availability, 2) she never told us anything about rental deliveries coming on Friday to drop off and back on Sunday to pick up--a little heads up that we would be asked to sign paperwork at both times and have to help the delivery person find/collect missing dishes would have been nice...how were we suppose to know where the catering team hid the dessert plates??, 3) when we had a phone call to go over the final timeline (which was at her request), she was totally unprepared--she said she had misplaced our papers, which resulted in us having to go over things we had already gone over multiple times, and 4) well after our wedding took place, we still had to ask multiple times and in multiple ways (text, email, phone call) to get a final invoice from her--we just wanted to pay our bill and wash our hands of everything. The Ugly: We've enjoyed the food at Eat for several years now, but we were totally let down on the day of our wedding. The au gratin potatoes were incredible when we went in for our tasting; we were so excited about these potatoes, in fact, we were between the risotto and these potatoes as a starchy side dish and ultimately chose the potatoes. Bad decision...the potatoes were absolutely disgusting at our wedding; no flavor, dry, congealed and not creamy at all (despite being described as creamy in their description). I cannot express how disappointing these potatoes were the day of our wedding. We didn't even take the leftovers with us they were so gross. Additionally, the first platter of salmon that was brought out was raw and slimy--totally unacceptable. My husband brought a fork of the fish back to the kitchen and he said no one could even look him in the eyes. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the salad and bread, if that tells you anything.
Makenzie Flynn: Eat catered our intimate wedding and the food was delicious! Kayla was so helpful in coordinating the event and the service was superb. Highly recommend Eat!
PvaFan Burgess: We absolutely love this place. The chicken, know matter how they make it, is delicious.
Linda Girard: Eat Ann Arbor is amazing! I had them cater a 90 person event. The food was fabulous and the guests went back for thirds! They are responsive and punctual. I highly recommend!
Mandie Carr: We LOVE this place! Appropriately priced, fresh , real food. Several options for noncarnivors, but not vegan.(can be). I try to be a dedicated home cook but when that isn't feasible EAT never disappoints. Best chocolate pudding around.
Mateo Deas-Morales: Pretty good food that uses seasonal ingredients. Floor was sticky the last two times I've been there.
Mia Favre: I showed up because I am new to the area and heard so much about this place. I am not a picky eater so I just told the server to give me whatever he would eat if he was on break! He did NOT disappoint! The food was great and cooked fresh! My server's name was Brendan and he was awesome! He asked what my son's name was and as unique as it is, Brendan is the ONLY person that has ever acknowledged it's origin! (Zidane)I was blown away by the amazing customer service, the food was awesome! Thank you so much!
Chidera Uwandu: Not many places to park, but the food is delicious and service is timely!!
Eric Mullins: Best sandwich around.
Brian Dufek: Well thought-out dishes, wonderful flavors, and generous portions all add up to a superb meal. Their catering is also top-notch, with friendly and efficient service staff. Highly recommended.
Barb Krienke: You can tell that they use great ingredients and that they know how to pair different flavors together so well! We had the pot roast, the Coq au Vin, and the risotto, and had a side of fried brussel sprouts to share. The aromas and tastes were out of this world. Great job!
