Ann Arbor Elder Law, PLLC: what do users think?
lewis veraldi: Reid McCarthy at Ann Arbor Elder Law is amazing at what he does. When my Grandmother fired her Trustee, her lawyer at the time said he could no longer server her; we had a sense of urgency to find someone to help. Reid was very patient and empathetic and helped us get everything in place. If you have estate planning needs and concerns this is the person to see.
Debbie Wright: Reid was a wonderful life saver for us. He took us through a difficult time step by step. We really appreciated his care, concern and help. He still answers questions that come up from time to time with us. I don’t think you could find a better lawyer than Reid McCarthy!
Luana King: Ann Arbor Elder Law is thoughtful, kind and hard working for their clients. Reid McCarthy painstakingly answered all my questions and handled everything in a professional matter at all times. This has got to be the best possible place in Ann Arbor to facilitate managing care for your loved ones. I would unconditionally recommend them.
Sherrie Fregoso: Reid was a lifesaver for us. We started consulting with him when our mom was living alone and was diagnosed with dementia. He walked us through all the steps of getting her into long term care on Medicaid. We had no idea what to do but he answered our calls every time we had questions. He was so kind and always knew what next steps would be best for mom. I don’t know what we would have done without his help. I highly recommend him if you need highly skilled, professional and compassionate help!
Karen Bolton: Reid was very professional but also personable. Very relaxed atmosphere. Took care of all our needs.
Jody Jones: Reid McCarthy at Elder Law was able to navigate the Medicaid application with the State so I could get my Mom into a proper memory care. He took over a mess that another firm had started and received approval in 2 weeks. I highly recommend him!
Eric Kaldor: In short Reid is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. About ten years ago, he’d helped revise my mother’s estate documents from top to bottom. Over the last five years all of those documents were put to the test and were very helpful. Our trust was indeed well placed.
Don Berlin: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueReid was knowledgeable about Elder Law issues including handling Medicaid and Estates. I am very pleased with his work and will work with him again.
Kerry C.: Positive:Professionalism,Responsiveness,ValueMr. McCarthy has answered my questions about our trust. Very helpful.
louis daher: I was most impressed with his professional knowledge and his interpersonal skills and dealing with my father who started to have some cognitive difficulties. Very patient informative and reasonable the way he structured payment for his services
Fred Gallagher: Both of my parents had life changing health issues that changed their plans for retirement and the future in drastic ways with my Mom's rapid decline while my Dad struggled with advancing Parkinson's. When Mom ended up needing to be go into a elder care facility, we were completely unprepared as to what to do next because my parents never thought this is where things might end up. After a recommendation from a lawyer I have worked with for years, Reid helped us get things put together so that Mom has secure in a wonderful care facility for several years now and my Dad, still living on his own, is able to visit her every day. Reid's consul and help has always been straight forward and showed a thorough understanding of not only the Medicaid and Social Security issues we needed to deal with but our other concerns as well.
veleria banks: I can not express the professional service and the information Reid had in handling the settlement of an estate. He also helped from A to Z when it came to the POA, Will and Trust. The best of all Reid came to the house to conduct business. That was one less thing for me to stress over. I recommended his services to a family member that was here from Georgia. He quickly paper prepared the necessary documents before she left town. Yes, Yes, Yes you can not go wrong calling Ann Arbor Elder Law.
Daniel Sneed: Choosing Reid to help with my mom's situation was a great choice for me and my brother. I gladly recommend him. Dad had passed a few years before and mom's progressing dementia, advancing age (her 90's), and limited financial resources were more than we could handle. Reid was very accessible, either by phone or email or text, and he explained things so that we could understand even the more complicated parts of the picture. He's a very capable lawyer yet shows that he understands the human side of our circumstances too. He took a huge weight off our shoulders and helped us through a difficult time. Best of all, we still feel like we did the right thing for mom.
deborah rasche: Reid McCarthy set up DPOA and Trusts for both of my in-laws. He was extremely good at easing everryone's mind with straightforward explanations and efficient execution...Very highly recommended!

When the time came to settle their estate, he assisted me through the entire process and made a tough time much more manageable. I believe his rates to be fair, and he is most certainly NOT the type of lawyer that nickels and dimes you for every email and phone call. He was always patient and helpful. Highly recommended!!!
Carla Gzym: Reid is thoroughly experience in Elder Law. He has helped us with both mother and mother-in-law estates. There were many items we couldn't handle on our own. He also informed us of extra benefits available for our mothers.

He was always very patient with my Aunt and myself. I would recommend him to anyone.
Rosemary Downer: Reid McCarthy of Ann Arbor Elder Law helped me gain guardianship for my 90 year old mother. His knowledge of the law, process and willingness to meet with me on short notice was wonderful. Chalgian & Tripp Law Offices, PLLC: what do users think?
lmc: Preemptive take on elder abuse - not Chalgian/Tripp, they are the leaders in it.Just run - they will bury you, your family and assets in fees plus requiring contracts signed to perform services only if you agree to never attempt to recoup assets lost to non and malfeasance.Tripp personally is involved in colluding with a fraudster trustee plus her atty partner working in 7 counties in SE Michigan. These people, by time they depleted 2/3rd of assets in under 3 years (assets of apprx 2.5m) latched onto Amy Tripp, at cost to estate, trust, to author a new trust and will.It has been a nightmare.Tripp is rude, arrogant, yes, as they say on their site about elder abuse being their 'bag'... only bag in this firm is Tripp. WINDBAG who tried to push further high fees (10g to attend 1 hearing already scheduled, all prepared) and only if I signed contract revoking my rights to recoup assets plundered by Fales/Mataya.Mataya, Fales, after finding out initial damage done to all, as I attempted to find a replacement atty for Fales, that's when I started meeting attys, about the region, who, too, attempted to recoup assets plundered by Fales/Mataya/Chapman ring. I had each atty, and even director of a national non profit mention this same head count of people bilked and bankrupted, private clients, at that time in 2019 - all said same number range 5-6 estates plundered. One atty even returned my call and said, "so I finally get to meet the 6th victim of Fales...Chapman".It's that bad, and just in our county. This crew actually works in 7 counties in SE Michigan and holds contracts with probate courts in 5 of those counties. So their reach is far. Private clients vs those assigned by court for a variety of issues...different but big, barely monitored money. Not monitored if Private client. Barely monitored when court assigned. But did Tripp care that she was hitched, in contracted at 500/hr to this messy situation? Did Tripp vet the original signed will which didn't include a trust? Did Tripp bother to look at the court approved trust and new will to verify that it was not 'air tight', going to result in loss of all - needed her intervention at 500/hr to author new will plus new trust? NOT TRIPP.She tapped us for 20g to author that new will plus latched onto a different atty, Welber, to author new trust.Had Tripp even bothered to vet questionable story about trustee faiijv to distribute assets properly, all would have been caught. Since C and T profess to be actively involved in stopping probate abuse, they bought into a huge ring of abuse but when given the chance to try to take first steps to correct, Tripp required the 10g hearing fee (just when she is merely attending) then the contract requirement that I'll not pursue recouping of assets pillaged by probate abusers...Does this sound like actions that a person or firm who is actively involved in stopping probate abuse aka financial exploitation of elderly, disabled?RUN
Christine Hendrick: We were a family struggling with our local CMH to the point of needing representation. Our attorney, Joelle Gurnoe-Adams, met us with compassion, experience, and professionalism during a challenging time. This team of attorneys support each other with their unique expertise and in the end resulted in a life changing win for our family.
Space Bart: Very capable attorneys who know their way around elder law and estate planning.
Frances Frappier: I have nothing good to say
