Emergency Veterinary Hospital: what do users think?
Nancy MacBrien: Our 10 year old German Shepherd Liberty was battling intestinal cancer in the late stages for over a week. Late Sunday night she started rapidly declining and by 2am we called this emergency hospital for euthanasia. We have never been to this hospital before but we were desperate for help asap. The staff was extremely compassionate, and worked with us quickly because it was so urgent. Grace met us at the desk and Kelly the technician processed everything very quickly. The vet Dr. Emily was incredibly compassionate to our situation and she did everything she could to make the process as painless as possible for all of us. Thank you so much to all of you for helping us through a terrible time. We are also very grateful to have the beautiful paw prints of our sweet Liberty.
Jessica Price: They were the most caring staff I could have had encountered in my pets time of tragedy. They were calm and understanding and I cannot thank them enough.
Molly Jones: The staff and veterinarians were super communicative and helpful for the two days my cat stayed, even though it was a busy holiday weekend. They found a graceful time to pass her off to her regular vet. The online portal that lets you sign up for the virtual waitlist is fantastic and much calmer than waiting for hours in-person with a puking animal.
Ali Wright: They took great care of our dog. Communicated with us through the whole process, and honestly saved my dog's life after a dog bite that got infected. Would highly recommend this place and their staff to take care of your fur baby!
Dereka Elizabeth: We went into this vet with our very sick bearded dragon, he hadnt eaten in 8 days and thats a very important piece of info. He had zero fecal matter left in him and they couldnt even properly diagnose him, yet when we called them to get the fecal test done that we were charged for, they claimed they already did it (when they told us they hadn’t prior), and they are refusing to do what we had paid for. This is very unprofessional, and proving even further that vets want nothing more than another dollar. I would rather drive 3 hours for an exotic vet than take my other babies here ever again.
Kristin McMaster: This is my ago to emergency vet in Ann Arbor. Their online process now is so smooth and I had my dog seen within 30 min of my first phone call with them. They are patient and understanding with my dogs reactivity with other dogs and help me keep him free of other animals when we take him in to be seen. 10/10 recommend.
Anita VanderMeulen: We booked an appointment. Arrived and called the phone to let them know we were there. The woman that answered the phone (Sue) said to meet her at the door in a few minutes. We waited outside the door for a few minutes before a different woman came out and said they are booked to capacity.I asked why they didn’t call to make us aware of the availability. They said if the appointment was confirmed we would’ve received a confirmation email. Then I asked why the woman I spoke with would’ve told me to meet her at the door only for us to get turned away, and the woman offered different places to take my animal.I have taken my cat here a few times, all only for emergency purposes. I have not once had to get a confirmation email. Typically I have called and am able to get him in less than 30 minutes later. I love the vets here but the lack of communication will prevent me from ever returning. The hospital on Liberty is much better suited for emergency needs, even if they’re not open 24 hours.
Stefan Kudek: They weren't able to help our rabbit, but they were able to help us. Shout-out to the overnight staff 4/23-24/23 for their kindness during a rough night.
Miran Godwin: I brought my dog in on Friday at 530pm, aside from the website that is not user-friendly to "reserve" a spot in line and the very weird check-in process at the door and having to wait outside for 20mins before we were allowed to come inside to check him in to be seen. We were not explained that it would be 5-6 hours before he would be seen....but even with all of that, we understood there are different levels of emergencies and that being 1 of the few 24hr e/r places within a 60-70mile radius the wait may be long. I understand all of that. My biggest complaint is the technician that came to speak to us. I think her name was Ashley W. The conversation started with "How far did you drive?" and when we told her we lived 45mins away, she dismissed us by saying "That's not far" after a 5hr wait in the parking lot and then proceeded to tell us that the night shift had "inherited" our dog and his emergency like it was our fault they didn't know what was wrong with him and then proceed to chastise us as to how "bad and misbehaved" he was during his x-rays. She probably said those exact words 3 or 4 times in the sentence. I kept having to remind her that he is an injured dog with a possible leg injury and was scared. He's not a human being who would know they must "behave" during an x-ray. which she then just kept repeating how badly misbehaved he was. Her whole tone of voice, when she came to speak to us, was very condescending and accusatory. I actually got a little upset by this point, regardless of the severity of the injury, this is not how you speak to your customers when they are worried about their beloved pet. You need to have more compassion. We were tired, we had been waiting a very long time with no communication like we had been told we would receive. She needs to be more professional and have some good chair-side manners when dealing with people. I do want to say the young lady at the front desk was very kind and so was the doctor and he was kind and answered all of our questions. Based on how we were spoken to by her and even when I asked her why she was being so aggressive in her manner of speaking she didn't stop to listen and apologize, she only said she wasn't being that way and then walked away without any sort of acknowledgment. From what I was told by another person who uses your services I was told this technician is also a manager there. I probably will think twice about coming back because of her. Thank you though for the service you did provide.
Tessa Starr: We came here after our usual vet declined to see our shitzu, Jade, for an emergency visit.EVH was quick to respond and told us to bring her in. They quickly diagnosed her with Pyometra, a life threatening condition requiring emergency surgery. We went forward with surgery and she was released to us 2 days later. Jade is recovering well and we are so happy to have her back home.Thank you for saving our baby girl!
Megan Kenyon: Came here three years ago with my old dog and that went well. Tonight I just attempted to bring my dog in for stitches and made an appointment. Drove 30 minutes to wait on hold on the phone for another 20 and was told it would be another 6-7 hours for triage. Wish they would’ve me told me that when I called around 5pm. The communication and online check-in is weird and not user friendly. You have to make an account then select an appointment. Then I called again to see if it was correct because the appointment slot wasn’t confirmed.
Allise Wachs: This emergency veterinary practice just saved my 9 year old German Shepherd, Camille. The veterinarians, technicians and staff were ALL superb. They acted very quickly, since my dog showed symptoms of GDV/bloat. The surgery went well--and they took great post-operative care of Camille, too. They were professional, efficient, and caring. I'm so grateful to the people at this animal hospital.
Kaylee Slickis: This is the emergency vet I use for my sugar gliders. They are very good and Ive seen them for a large variety of issues including draining abscesses, dehydration, an intestinal blockage, and compassionate euthanasia.
Melody Julio (Melody McKee): I highly recommend EVH animal hospital to anyone for your fur babies needs, as they are a caring, very professional and a affordable animal hospital. Thank you for your services!! ❤️
Morgan Julio: I can’t begin to understand why this place doesn’t have a five star rating. Last night I had to say goodbye to my best friend and the staff here made it 1000x easier, not only were they fast and helpful, they showed me an immeasurable amount of compassion and empathy during my most devastating hours. & to top it off, I expected to get a vet bill that reflected the emergency care and the late night phone call, I expected to pay the premium, but instead - I paid an honest price, to some of the most honest veterinarians I’ve ever met.Thank you so, so much. I highly, highly recommend the Emergency Veterinary Hospital of Ann Arbor.
michael guyor: In June our golden doodle was diagnosed with bloat by our local vet. My wife called the staff here and they were waiting for him while we drove from Monroe. Staff was excellent, got him in right away, and talked us through our options. He had surgery to repair the issue. The staff called as soon as it was done and told us how everything went, and followed up in the morning to tell us how the night went. He stayed two nights with updates at least twice a day.He has healed up great and is a happy boy.I know not every outcome can be the same, but without the rapid care from the staff here he would've had zero chance. Definitely recommend them.
Janelle Fox: Quickly examined my cat and gave me the results. Very friendly staff. Would recommend if your pet needs emergency care.
Rachel Rachel: On 2/22/2023, during that horrible freezing rain storm, my dog was stung in the tongue by a honey bee of all things. I knew to give him benedryl right away but wasn't sure what to do after that. I called several emergency vets that told me only to bring him in. The weather was so bad. I knew driving would be really risky, I wasn't sure if I needed to bring him in and just needed some guidance. I called your office and spoke to Carly. She listened and was so kind and empathetic. She told me what to watch for, to maybe try a cold compress for the swelling, gave me a time frame, and told me to call back right away if anything worsened in that time frame. She was very professional and obviously knowledgeable. She was very patient with any questions I had and took her time talking to me, even though we had never been there before. Carly, thank you!
Ashley McLain: All because they refuse to work with people on payments, my 5 day old kitten passed away. I'd NEVER recommend this place
Kristen Harter: I’ve taken my cat Bumi here twice and was amazed & grateful both times. I’ve learned a lot about taking care of my cat from them. The first time he had a UTI that I thought was an obstruction. They were the only place open & busy! they gave me the number of another place to call but when I told them no one would take us they immediately told us to bring him in.This time he actually did have an obstruction and had to stay for a few days. I was nervous but they were all so kind , and kept me updated. Both times they did an evaluation within a few hours and then told me how long he’d be staying. What I like most about them is that they take care of the animals with life threatening situations first. While that may mean a longer wait time I feel comfortable knowing if my cat needed immediate care he’d be in good hands, plus I’m okay waiting if it means another animal gets to have another day. They communicated with me at the end of each shift and everyone was so kind even though you can tell they’re almost always busy. They also always discussed cost immediately before going through with any path of care & gave us time to make decisions when we weren't sure. When I picked him they said “so we all loved him!” They were the best , hopefully we won’t need many more visits but I’m so so thankful this place exists! It’s only of the only places always open in the area since Covid!
M B-Y: We got our cat in right away and he was able to get the attention and surgery he needed to remove a foreign object that he ate. He likely would’ve died had it not been for their prompt attention. The communication from Dr. Brown and staff was amazing throughout the whole process and we were given clear instructions for the recovery care at home. Theo was well taken care of. Thank you!

BluePearl Pet Hospital: what do users think?
Lisa Brennan: Took my cat in because she was larthargic, she was diagnosed with diabeties and wouldn't take to any treatment. They listened to my concerns and were very caring and made me feel like we tried our best to help our cat. The vet gave us options one was a treatment which would only be temporary if it worked the other was to put her to sleep. I decided to say good bye and was able to hold my cat in my lap as they put her to sleep. I would defently recommmend them.
melissa suchon: Very pleased with the doctor’s care and staff treating us exceptionally well. I have spaced on the names but the tech, front desk staff and dr were simply lovely humans. Much obliged.
Katie Millan: We were able to get in right away, our dog was not scared and overall we were very happy with our experience.
Jerry M Denton: The staff at Blue Pearl were so helpful and caring during the hard decision to have my mother’s dog euthanized. The environment and the veterinarian were comforting and calm and it made it easier to be able to say our good-bye. Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
Emily Sulka: I went to their cardiology department for my dog with potential cardiology issues. They were super helpful accommodating us and helping us get in and out because my dog is reactive to other dogs, and explained things well. It was expensive but they were up front about the cost when I made the appointment, and cardiology is generally expensive wherever you go.
Teri Baker: After we made our appt they called us back with an even earlier appt, as we wanted to get our dog in to see the Cardiologist, Dr. G as soon as possible for testing. All the staff was so kind and professional from the front desk to Gabby, our Vet Tech. She was so good with our dog and explained everything that would happen with his testing. You could tell she truly loves animals. Dr. G came in after the rest and spent a good amount of time explaining the results and answering our questions. We couldn't have asked for an easier experience during a highly anxious time. Highly recommend!!
Bettina Hoops: We highly recommend BluePearl Pet Hospital. We took our beloved dog to the location on Packard and received excellent care at a challenging time of our pet's life. We can't thank them enough for their competence and warmth.
Sydney Large: Dr. Giese and her receptionist Lois made the worst day of my life peaceful. I had to put Mookie my 13 year old baby to rest after she tore her second ACL. The level of love, support and genuine compassion they showed me and my girl is indescribable. This is the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. They gave me so many blessings in the last moments shared with my sweet girl. I am eternally grateful for this clinic.
Bradley Gibbs: This place is horrible. They double charge, and lie about what they can or can't do. One vet said they don't do surgery their and another vet said they are wrong that they do, do surgery there. Then they sent us to a specialist when they were able to do the surgery.
Destiny Burnworth: HAD TO PAY MY BILLS MORE THEN ONCE. THEY SAYED MY DOG WILL DIE IN 6 MONTHS. HE HAS BEEN ALIVE OVER 2 YEARS NOW.
Carla Pham: My dog Princess Leia was treated great. They likely saved her life. Staff was thorough & helpful. I appreciated their knowledge.
Pawlow: Negligence on all aspects. I could sue for the amount of absence they left on my dog. 4 hours in a cage ridiculous. Paid 900 just for them to kill him.
Paolo Barcelata: Hello I’m writing this review as my dog is in a vegetative state. Prior to this happening we were at the hospital and they said it would be fine to bring him home and give him the pill when we arrived back he was practically dead and only breathing faintly. We called back and said he was not moving they replied bring him in and basically told us to pay 4K or you’re screwed. Also when at the hospital they said he was fine but kept him in the “back” for a few hours. He also needs to take a pill at a certain time and they said they’d give him it but they never did and handed it back saying they were “busy”. Welp I’m just glad he gets to pass at home. Please try to find a good hospital prior to making an appointment! Farewell Pachi 👋
Anthony Reaves: Very compassinate staff during a terrible time. Would highly recommend.
Justin Innes: They did a really good job with my dogs euthanasia today and got us in asap, it was quick and painless no complaints
Tiffany Dudley: I took my mother here as she was panicked about an issue with her cat. She had called a half hour before our arrival and they said to bring in the cat. When we got there the desk clerk said to wait for her to check with the doctor to see if they were still taking patients. As she walked away, my mother said desperately "They just have to take him, where else will we go"? The clerk said very unkindlly and rudely "we don't have to take him" she returned to say they vet said they were not taking patients. We arrived 20 minutes after calling and there was no one there. We mentioned how unkind what she said was and she said "oh well" we waited in the parking lot as we made calls to other emergency vets, no one ever showed up. Apparently they just wanted to go home early. We ended up driving to Plymouth to get help, and it did end up being an emergency. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They were unkind, rude, snide and uninterested in helping an animal. Shame on you.
Wanda Akeman: I called this office at 5:30 PM. They said they were opened until 9, but would be accepting patients until 7. I arrived at 6:15 and they refused to accept my pet saying they were going home early. They were rude, pompous and unkind. I had to drive to Plymouth, Michigan to have a vet see my pet.I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone to actually had an emergency.
hilary pietila: Dr. Close and team treated my anxious, 10 year old pittie for an auricular hematoma and underlying ear infection on a Saturday when our regular vet was closed. She and the staff were attentive, communicative and thorough in both their examination and treatment options. I would definitely return to BluePearl again.
Tisa Allen: Super kind, personally invested, loving and affectionate staff. And the price was very reasonable. I will take my cats back there if there is another emergency and I cannot reach my usual vet.
Amy Johnson: This was my first experience with BluePearl. I’ve been to another emergency vet in the past for my dog, but due to their ER staffing that evening, I was referred to BluePearl. I was roomed immediately and was out in an hour or less. While I was being roomed, my vet tech informed me how long my wait would be and came back a short time later to update me again. It was nice to be kept informed, as a courtesy. My visit with Dr. Palmieri was great. She listened and took time to answer all of my questions. I was given the option to get an X-ray, but was told up front what the additional cost would be. When I asked if she would recommend it, she was honest and gave me her opinion that she didn’t feel like it was needed at this time. I was told that if my dog was getting worse or I felt that he needed to be seen again the next day that I could come back within 24 hours and the consultation would be free. It’s nice they offer that, because it gave me peace of mind since I was concerned about my dog and how he’d be over the next day. Based on my experience, I will return in the future, if it’s needed. I’m surprised their Google rating isn’t higher, but both animal and human ERs can be criticized harshly, at times. I’ll recommend to others!
Elizabeth Newcomb-Fink: My regular vet couldn’t see my dog so I called Blue Pearl. They thankfully had us come in and I was very happy with the care. The staff took great care of my old guy and we were out in under three hours with the bank account not drained. Very reasonably priced for emergency care. I am so thankful they got my little dog on the mend. I hope to not use emergency care again but if I have too I will be going back

Ann Arbor Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Kristin Pollak: I had to bring my cat to the emergency side, we had to put him to sleep, he had cancer. They sent me a sympathy card in the mail, I found that to be very thoughtful. They made a card with his paw prints and 2 little holders with his hair in it. One of the hardest days of my life, like loosing a child. The staff is amazing and i will be switching my vet to here for my other cat. Really great place.
Leslie Fleckenstein: We love the quality of care and experience of the staff. The fact the they are open on the weekends and later in the evening than other practices in the area speaks to their compassion and service to their patients. We are extremely happy to be in their care.
Andrea Bida: They are the sweetest humans ever! I highly recommend them. I was so worried about my cats back leg and they were able to get me in quickly and were so nice and very informative!
Twisted White Chrucker: Just terrible, over priced and inept. Do not trust these hacks with your pet
Ashley Ruby: Completely took advantage of my elderly mother. Charged $1000s with zero diagnosis. Continued to say "just keep coming back." Mom took her pup to a new vet and what a world of difference. She is so happy and a diagnosis at second visit after x-rays. Would not recommend.
Kathe McPhail: Mackenzie and Dr. Barnhart were wonderful with my old cat! They listened, asked questions and tenderly examined her. She responded to their treatment and within two days was feeling much better. Thanks so much!
Barbara Gilbert: My well cat visit at the Ann Arbor Animal Hospital was great. I have a crabby not friendly cat. She usually has very bad behavior. Often requiring general anesthetic for any treatment. They gave her a check and a distemper shot with no problems. Also they gave me lots of information on the health of my cat.
Taylor Family: Vary inconvenient. Not helpful and constantly try to find a way to make $$ off you by making it hard to order prescriptions through cheaper optionsThis place has been going downhill fast. They clearly have overwhelmed people that can barely answer questions. Find a different vet asap
Roger Peterson: I had to book my dog, Loki, at Ann Arbor Animal Hospital son short notice because my prevued vet closed shopped he was due forms rabies pdateamog other shots, They wee kind enogh to get him in quickly which I appreciated. Te vet who saw him was very knowledgeable and very nice as was a the rest of the staff.
David Xe: They are very unprofessional. The tech was condensending to us. She talked about going to another place instead of giving the address and location until I asked the 3rd time. They no longer have an E.R. but they still had the emergency sign posted on their property. She seems more concerned about partying after work. I wish that can give a negative star.
Gabrielle Bowyer: I feel so fortunate to have this hospital nearby. The facility is clean, staff are amiable and knowledgeable, it's easy to get an appointment, and the drive-through pharmacy is efficient. Most everyone I've encountered has been helpful, thorough, professional, and most importantly, kind to my pet.
Catherine Boye: We started going to AAAH over a year ago and have had a great experience. Our dog, Scout, is very fearful and shy, and the entire staff is incredibly patient and accommodating. We have had many visits and all have been positive experiences. Every clinician and tech has been friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I have especially enjoyed visits where we’ve seen Dr. Critchfield, as she has taken the time to explain things thoroughly and taken a holistic view of my dog’s history to determine the best treatment option.
Sean Sullivan: Can’t recommend enough, they did a phenomenal job and saved my dogs life after he swallowed a ball and needed emergency surgery. Dr Wright did a great job keeping me up to date and explaining everything. Amanda (tech) was also very nice and helpful. They called back frequently to check up on stout. Also they were up front with prices which were reasonable.
Ally Martin: I really appreciated the care the vets have given my senior pets. It's refreshing to be given realistic options for quality of life care in a non judgemental and compassionate manner. They are so incredibly kind, considerate, & trustworthy.
Haley Vardy: Amazing vet. Went in for my cat (Angelo) who had gotten extremely sick overnight (literally). The vet was extraordinarily kind and explained everything to us.I would definitely come there again. But hopefully I won’t have to 😅
Jill Ondreyka: Absolutely awful customer service and lack of concern for my pet. I had an apt scheduled for 6:30 pm 2/13/23 for an urgent recheck for my cat who is not eating and has been having vomiting. Just two days before (2/11) I spent FOUR hours in the clinic to get my pet examined. I called at 6:22pm to let them know that I was going to be 4 minutes late. They told me they would not be able to see me. I work over an hour away and had to change my whole schedule to make this appointment and the complete disregard for my pet and lack of grace and understanding is appalling. I will not be going back to this clinic.
Mya Walker: The first suggestion given to me when I told them that my 2 year old male cat had a blockage was to put him down. Absolutely disgusting service.
Miles Jackson: Fast, friendly, and thorough. I was able to get my dog into ongoing care in less than a day and all staff were extremely friendly and professional. Would recommend.
Cheryl Moote: Dr. Critchfield is wonderful. She helped my cat “Boo” recover from a virus that caused her to become dehydrated with stomach problems. Within 24 hours after receiving an anti nausea shot and subcutaneous fluid Boo was back to her normal happy behaviors.
Alex Nosnik: Great vet! We've been coming here for years. They offer compassionate and high-quality care. The staff are kind and helpful. Thank you for offering such a great service to the community!
joe piliszko: We brought our Malibu to AAAH today for some skin irritation in a couple spots. The staff was great and got us some antibiotics to get our fur baby feeling better! Thank you AAAH! ❤️

Veterinary Emergency Service West: what do users think?
Linda Aguirre: A big 5 star! I came in with my dog who had been hacking all night. They were attentive to him. Knew exactly what it was and gave us cough medicine. They didn’t charge a fortune either! Not like other Emergency places that probably would have ordered unnecessary tests and charge double the price for emergency visit. We will continue to use them when our vet is closed. 🏆
Paul Previch: Very nice and friendly
Kristen Laktzian: Best vet experience. We brought our cat Navy to Veterinary emergency service this afternoon with our sick buddy. Unfortunately, We did have to put him down. The staff was very compassionate about the situation and handled it with grace. The vet that treated us was very helpful and make us feel not alone. We would recommend them to anyone with your furry friend.
Gary Bailey: They were very kind to us when we had to let go of our beloved Ella.
Brook Powers: Shortest wait times we could find, and the sweetest, most gentle and kind staff I have ever experienced. I don't want to have to come back but in case of emergency, this is where you will find my animals. Thank you for taking care of my Chili in her last hours.
Brianna Stagg: We had a wonderful experience despite the sad result of our sweet cat Scout. The doctor was incredibly kind, and thorough with her care. As my family said our goodbyes, they gave us plenty of time and wrapped our boy in blankets in a bed. The doctors compassion was so appreciated in our time of hurt and we are so thankful. We were seen quickly, test results were done quickly and we were given extensive information. I recommend this place to everyone with a pet and will definitely be my first choice from now on.
Bianca Hinneburg: I've had to take my cat Lucky here twice. Both experiences I felt the staff was kind, compassionate, and efficient. They really take time to answer all your questions, and give everyone a one on one experience. Thank you for taking care of my little guy. I would recommend this staff to anyone.
zerotacht: They saw my dog last night who was having hip pain, and got him in more quickly than expected. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. They also sent the x-rays and records to our primary vet very quickly. Very compassionate as well. 5 stars.
ben bator: Excellent service and helpful staff. Can’t say we want to come back, but it’s at the top of our list when we need to.
Steven Schnepp: Don't bother looking for them to help a stray. They just want to turn a profit.
Anna Osman: I called in the middle of the night about my dog being in distress. I explained the situation and the receptionist asked me how long it had been since my dog has his geriatric bloodwork done and I had said it wasnt long ago, in September, and she laughed and said that was 6 months ago, and then proceeded to ramble a list of pricing that went up to 900$. Money wasn't an issue, the issue was my dog was dying. And I was so annoyed with her I said I was calling my sister and hung up. I worked at an animal shelter with my sister for over 10 years, that is not how you talk with someone about their distressed old dog. I ended up going to a different vet, who's receptionist was compassionate and kind and didn't ramble off pricing except for the initial visit, and then we would go from there. My dog ended up having to be put down. His geriatric bloodwork had nothing to do with what he had going on. In the middle of the night people are in terror for their beloved pets. Please talk to them with compassion and understanding. Not like they are bad pet owners and laugh at them. I am destroyed over my dog and can still hear that woman's sarcastic laugh, old man blood work being done a week ago for the 6 month checkup would not have saved his life. It was unnecessary and unkind to laugh.
Robert Casalou (Rob): We brought our 15 year old Havanese to Vet Emergency Services for her end-of-life care. The staff were so caring, compassionate and professional as we said our goodbye. They made a difficult situation so much easier. Thank you.
Flo: I came after midnight when my baby girl (cat) seemed in pain and unwell. I was worried it was something serious, so I took her to the emergency vet. I don't know if I got lucky, but there was no wait and I was in and out in about an hour. For an after hours emergency visit with an examination and 2 medications, the bill was surprisingly reasonable. The staff were all very friendly, too. They were so gentle handling my scared baby girl. Thank you all! 💕
Katherine Pates: My dog was in pain and needed bladder stones removed through emergency surgery. We decided to go through with it, as he would have died from a blockage. They sent me home with pain meds ( which don't seem to work ) and antibiotics. My poor dog has been restless and miserable since coming home, and when I call to ask questions they are annoyed and keep telling me to contact my regular vet. So you can cut open my pet, take my money, and then you want nothing to do with me? Shameful...
Julia Frayer: Went in for an emergency with Xylitol poisoning. Dog was stabilized and started treatment. As soon as dog was off the IV and stable for transport, we had him discharged and transferred him to a different emergency vet, (25 minutes away) where he stayed for the remainder of his inpatient treatment. This vet suggested that we should not see our dog for days while they treated him because "he would be confused about why I was leaving him" or some nonsense that does NOT fit my dog. He has been left places before, while conscious, and totally goes with the flow. But I'm supposed to think he'll be more comfortable suddenly regaining consciousness/awareness in a strange place without me there and be more comfortable NOT seeing me? What? No. That's not how this mama works. Besides, the entire concept is just plain sketchy and inspires a big fat NOPE.They also reported that he walked while peeing, a behavior that he does when anxious/overstimulated and uncomfortable (related to his history of mistreatment.)The vet we transferred him to would let me go back and see him at ANY time. If I wanted to hang out in his kennel to help him be calm, they would not only allow, but welcome and encourage it. He does not walk while peeing at this place, either, which demonstrates his level of comfort.I would go here again if I felt I was in a 'minutes count' situation simply because of their geographic location. But that's where I draw the line, and I would again leave ASAP.
Melanie Silva: Dr. Sharbowski and staff provided excellent care, very pleasant to work with and everyone listened to my concerns, very reasonable and willing to modify the treatment plan based on financial and other considerations. 10/10 would go back for emergency care.
Daniel Vassallo: Recently my dog had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, Almost a week later he stitches came undone and exposed the muscle. I called this place and was told that they would not repair another veterinarian's surgeon's work. They didn't even want me to bring her in because they were not concerned. I ended up taking my dog to the Animal Emergency Center in Novi where the replaced the stitches and cleaned up the area, going above and beyond.
John Holeva: I don't really have any problems with this place. We did go here once to save our cat. Had no issues. Not sure if it was a good price, but they did knock off some money for us which was nice.My reason for commenting today is about the cost to put our cat down. Just to drop off the cat was $250, then they wanted to charge $48 for a paw print. Other options where over $300. We found another 24/7 emergency that charged $150 with the paw print being no additional cost. Might want to check your competitors pricing.
Kim Sellers: Veterinarians were amazing. We had to leave our 9 month old pup overnight. NY the time we arrived the night shift was working. I felt the night receptionist was rude to me over the phone. My pup had regular vet appointment then they sent us to one on jacksonroad. The one on Jackson road sent us to this one. Our pup was miserable and thethey sent us to this emergency vet. The receptionist when I called made it very difficult to even want to bring her there.
Jessy Kellerman: So friendly and helpful! My cat was good for them when he usually isn’t nice to the vet lol! Steven and I appreciate you all! Thank you!
Mike: These people see you as a living ATM machine, be prepared for a soaking. Then to boot you wait in your car 2 hours while your pet is inside. The only live person you talk to is the receptionist when she calls you inside and asks how you wish to pay. Enough of the Covid theater already, it is over. Unless you have a genuine life threatening pet emergency, avoid this place.
