They refinished the bottom floors and I love the work they did. We're considering getting our upstairs done as well and if we do, we will be working with these guys again.

John H: We got our main floor hardwood refinished and are mostly satisfied with the results, only after we asked them come back and fix their mistakes 3 separate times. A frustrating lack of quality was consistent throughout the entire experience. They left scratch marks from the sander all over the kitchen, which was something they promised wouldn't happen beforehand. They also left magic oil too thick in areas that have now dried and are sticky. Each time they came back to fix something they made something else worse. Kathy Hunscher: May 6, 2021We recently hired Ann Arbor Hardwoods to refinish our Read Oak Hardwood Kitchen Floor. It had been several years since we had done any work on the floor. There were scratches from kitchen chairs, water stains from a leaking skylight, and overall wear and tear all over the floor. It was in bad shape. From the very beginning of the process, Ann Arbor Hardwoods was professional, experienced, reliable, and competent. Michael took his time to explain their process and lay a foundation for what to expect. The craftsmen were personable, courteous, and exceptionally clean. There was minimal dust and they used plastic to protect the rest of the house. Most of all, they were thorough with close attention to detail. They went above and beyond to make sure all our final concerns, which were few, were taken care of to our expectations. We enjoyed having them in our home. We would give them a 12 out of 10, with 10 being the highest degree of satisfaction with their work. The owner, Michael, came to personally do the measurements and quotes. Every detail was itemized and displayed in drawings given to us.Start of Project was on-time. The knowledge and capability of the foreman and crew were exceptional. Most days, they let us know where they were at in the project and what is upcoming.We ran into one hiccup but was simply a communication break-down some place. Laura Boonstra: AA Hardwoods did an amazing job refinishing the original oak floor in our home. I had previously done a "homeowner DIY" refinishing job on the floor in one room, so I thought I knew what was possible. Boy, was I wrong! They sanded and stained the floor (including the area I had attempted previously) and it looks like a new floor. Truly, I had no idea it could look this good. Their attention to detail was fantastic, they even noticed and repaired some splits and gouges in the wood that I had not even noticed before. The "dustless" system was incredible (MUCH less mess than my own experience with a drum sander!). They even worked with me to help match the new color to a different prefinished oak flooring that we had newly installed in an adjacent room. In addition to refinishing the floor, they also installed new flush-mount floor vents and created a custom transition strip for a doorway. Thank you, AA Hardwoods!

Diane Watt: My husband and I cannot say enough good things about A2 Hardwoods. In all the years we've done home renovations, these guys gave us the best experience by a long shot. The team is very knowledgeable and professional. In addition, we got a detailed contract before committing that laid everything out, including start dates and end dates, which were exact. Other things that were exceptional:1) Our team showed up everyday, all day, and on-time2) The communication was outstanding3) There is a final "punch-list" process so that anything that was missed could be rectified - but there was little in our case4) There really was very little dust created5) What little dust there was, was cleaned up at the end of everyday (ie countertops dusted)6) They put all their equipment away in one room at the end of everyday so my house wasn't cluttered and hard to get aroundTop notch.

Lucas Kempen: A2 Hardwoods did an outstanding job fixing our floors after 76 years of wear and tear. The floors used to have mismatched wood patched in and mismatched floor stains, paint, pet stains, and some water damage. It’s hard to believe this is the same wood after they sanded, repaired and stained it all to match. Their attention to detail and the passion that the team has for their job really shines through in the quality of their service and results!

A R: I think Aaron is one of those needle in a haystack sort of find and if you can secure him for the job, do it. We were so happy with the job he did resurfacing our floors in the kitchen and foyer, that we had him complete the entire first floor of our home + staircase rails and fireplace molding. He's very honest, hard working, easy to work with, professional, and stands behind his work. He has even repaired and redone work he felt needed to be fixed. His attention to detail is excellent, making sure the lower moldings are cut precisely to conform to interfacing components. Not sure if you are going to find many people like him in this sort of business. His prices are very reasonable and he takes ownership in what he does.
