L K: Ann Arbor's favorite SLUM LORD monopoly.Tenants have the right to safe living spaces but McKinley doesn't agree. They aren't around to agree. Strategic skeletal staffing and repeated firings allow them to rake in the exorbitant rent $$$ and literally ignore any problems at their properties, like ceilings collapsing and injuring tenants (in my building, a minor, and they didn't fix the massive hole in my neighbor's apartment for over a month). Police involved every single day b/c company doesn't do anything to mitigate issues. Good luck living at any spot run by this joke of a company. Report any tenant issues to the new A2 rental commission thru city council to hold this unethical juggernaut accountable!

Ishtiaque Ahmed Navid: Complained multiple times about the severely creaky and noisy ceiling in my upstairs apartment in Evergreen. They did not pay any heed to the noise complaints but checked the floors upstairs and promised to change the carpeting at least. But of course they never followed up nor did they answer my several emails. Meanwhile my upstairs tenants are rampantly making creaky noises in the middle of every single night and I haven’t had a good sleep for months. Terrible service.

Niko/vic Peters: I’m a Senior Citizen living in the Commons apts. Recently there was a flood and I’m experiencing the fumes coming through my vents that has me with a dry cough and headaches. I’m not able to use my heat because of the fumes. I did report this to the manager Thomas on 12/31/22 he said he would be sending a contractor out to my apartment on Tuesday 1/2/23, today. No one came out to fix the problem, and Thomas never gave me a Courtesy call to let me know someone was coming at a later date. It seem to me that Thomas doesn’t have any Compassion or Consideration for the Senior Citizens. He’s not listening to anything they have to say. He’s unprofessional. He knew whenever there’s a flood there will be fumes, Mildew, Mole and water in the walls, so he could have rectified the problem before the fumes start coming into my vents. He’s been in my apt and knows that I’m on a Oxygen machine. That’s why I can say Thomas do not care about Senior Citizens. I had too take extra breathing treatments and use more Oxygen because of the fumes. If I open the vents and turn on the heat I’m constantly coughing. I have to boil a pot of water on top of my stove and put on layers of clothes just to keep warm. I did reach out to our prior manager that works at another property by the name of Kam. I explained my situation hoping she could help me, but it’s really nothing she could do. I mentioned to her on top of all this I just got discharge from the hosp. on the 21 of Dec. I’ve lived here for 9 yrs, and my rent has always been on time. At this point I’m desperately looking for another apartment. I should be able to turn on my heat without smelling fumes. Matthew Wamser: Avoid McKinley at all costs! I lived at Schooner Cove, and the maintenance team always had excuses for why they couldn't fix problems in my apartment. They couldn't fix the peeling paint on my balcony, because they'd have to give my downstairs neighbors notice so they could "clear everything off their patio" (my downstairs neighbors had nothing on their patio). They couldn't fix a broken bathroom fan in the unit below mine that would wake me up in middle of the night, because the downstairs neighbors didn't file the maintenance request themselves. (McKinley told me that I should just call the police to put pressure on my neighbors.) And even though my wife complained about a water hammer in the bathroom pipes for months, McKinley only fixed the problem after a leak caused our downstairs neighbors' ceiling to collapse.Broken windows went unfixed for months, and even after there would still be shards of broken glass in the lawn. The lock on the stairwell door kept breaking, and rather than replacing it, the maintenance staff would do a "quick fix," and the lock would break again by the end of the week. One of the neighbor boys used to rip the downspouts off the building, smash lightbulbs and play with knives in common areas. He even bashed a hole in an exterior wall with a cinderblock. It was so big a squirrel could have crawled inside. McKinley took months to fix the hole. They never fixed the downspouts. And they never stopped the boy from continuing to vandalize our building.The grounds were filthy. After a snowstorm, no one cleared the snow around the garbage bins, so people just threw their trash bags into the public park next door. Trash sat there for weeks, and the bags were torn apart by animals before anyone did anything. I frequently saw broken glass bottles and used needles in the parking lot. One time, I even found a very large, flesh-colored "toy" (with a suction cup!) It's sad because there are a lot of families with kids and nice people who deserve a landlord that upholds its end of the lease. If you have any other options, take your money elsewhere.

I want to sell my condo because of this! I will not be able to sell my condo for the price it’s worth because of the condition EXPI has allowed! Where is our money going....their pockets I’m sure!
