A D: Awesome experience with Stronghold for my parents’ clean out. I connected with Nick and Tony in mid-May to get an estimate for clearing a single-story home and garage. Nick and Tony were very prompt in returning calls, emails, and Instagram messages.I was able to coordinate an estimate with Tony using pictures of the items to be removed. The estimate was fairly priced for the amount of work, so I got on their schedule for two weeks out (from accepting the estimate).Tony and Luke arrived promptly at the expected time, and they cleared out furniture from our 1,700 sq.ft. house and junk from the two-car garage in less than three hours.Brass tacks: Just hire Stronghold. We had been waffling back and forth between renting a dumpster and calling a trash company to manage the stuff that we needed to purge from our basement and garage. Haley Buffman: Roger from Ann Arbor Dumpster has been a lifesaver!!! We have gotten 3 dumpsters from him now, and he is just awesome. The last time he picked up a dumpster, he waited as I threw a few last minute items in, then helped me get down my bird house out of a tree, and removed a wooden box for me that had frozen in to several inches of ice. Roger was super responsive and even texted me back which was so much easier for me. I always like to choose local small businesses to work with and that worked very well for me in this case! The dumpster comes on rubber wheels, opens up in the back and has a ramp for easy access - super easy to use. Peter Klein: THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME! I've been a Duncan customer for over 4 months now and I'm extremely happy with the level of service they provide, especially compared with their competitors. Duncan has not missed a single pick-up! (unlike Advanced and GFL, which routinely missed pickups -- heck, GFL missed or delayed our pickups most of the time!). Duncan is on-time and neat. They also have better prices. If you are fortunate enough to live in the service area, you should 100% go with Duncan for waste disposal.Edit: more than a year in and still going strong. Duncan has not missed a single pickup in that entire time, and they are always tidy and polite. Prices still among the best in the area despite a modest bump amidst the crazy inflation (no gouging from Duncan). Just love these folks.

Darren Nance: These guys show up on time. They actually have a separate truck that picks up the recyclables. Not like our last one, where we put recycles in a separate bag and it gets thrown into the same truck. The garbage and recycle trucks are in good repair, don't leak oil or anything throughout the sub and those trucks arrive in the sub less than 15 minutes apart.
Mike Keling: We used Duncan before they were purchased by another garbage company years ago. When our current provider was missing pickups we looked for a new provider and we’re happy to see Duncan was back! They got us our new carts very quickly! One day we forgot to put our carts out, totally our fault. I called the office and asked if at all possible they could return. If not no problem as we forgot. Well the next day both the garbage and recycling trucks came back! They did not have to do that and I’m very appreciative that they did.

Dominic Nelson: The Original Duncan has completely blown me away by how professional, courteous, and reliable they are. While other companies like Advanced Disposal (now Waste Management) and GFL have been completely unresponsive and unreliable, reducing their services without reducing price, and generally just not showing up on time (or at all!), The Original Duncan has been a shining example of how to do business and keep customers happy. Thankfully our friends recommended them to us, and I recommend them for anyone looking for garbage service the way it should be.
