Niels Kragh: Recommendation - Do Not Use SPSCommunication - Less than one star..Installation Quality - Less than one star...Professionalism - Less than one star...Had egress window with a row of glass block installed in our basement, installed by "Chuck".... foundation was cut to install. Once window was installed found that window margins were not equal, impossible to finishand complete with window trim. Gap measurements between window and foundation are anywhere between one and quarter inch to less than a quarter inch.We have called SPS many times to request them to come out and complete the job. SPS will not return our calls. Only once did "Chuck" send us a text message, letting us know he was in court and has been too busy to call... again requesting him to contact us, so far, no reply.After many hours of rework to correct this issue we can now move on with our basement remodeling... again, do not not recommend using SPS for any home improvements!As of this point, we highly "do not" recommend SPS for any of your home improvements!!

My project required a cement wall and poured steps. They did not pass code and had to be torn out and re-poured. They passed the second time but are sloppy and will need to be fixed. I expected better quality from a professional. When I asked about my concerns along the way, the owner became disrespectful. After 8 weeks’ service was ended. My overall interactions and experience were very stressful.Extremely displeased with professionalism, communication, and workmanship. Do not recommend for cement work.

He called ahead to give me an ETA, showed up promptly, worked efficiently, and finished the project ahead of schedule. The guys wore masks indoors (since this is during the Covid 19 outbreak as well.) Pricing was excellent, and I'm very pleased with the job. Highly recommend.

Keith Boruta: I just had an egress window installed by SPS and could not be happier with the entire process. When I called, he came out within an hour to get info and quote! He was professional, honest and courteous. I was concerned about the installation being done right, so I asked 5 follow up questions over email on his installation procedures and warranty and he answered them in detail with pictures and honestly. His team was done in 5 hours, took great care to ensure no damage was done (which is kind of amazing because it was very tight and right next to garden bed, which somehow was not damaged). He told me what he was going to do and did exactly that. The window was installed very well and the little details were done right. The mortar was finished nicely, the dirt was put back (he left room as I requested for some work I needed to do). The well looks great and is installed the right way. He pulled the permits and scheduled the post install inspection. To top it all off, his price was lower than competitors and he was willing to do it in the cold months while the competitor didn't want to. As a DIY-er, I am picky about any contractors doing work in my house as I feel I can do some of the things myself, but this worked so well. I would absolutely use them again and would not even bother asking other people for quotes. I have already asked them to do some tuckpointing/masonry repairs on my chimney because they did a great job. Oh, and they cleaned up really well. You couldn't tell they were even in my basement (other than the egress window). They had to take down a section of my plastic fence and they did that no problem and put it back with no damage, and that thing is fragile. Again, top notch all the way through.

I had 2 of my glass blocks crack - after 20 years - which caused a huge leak in my basement...I called Brian and he came to the rescue - same day, sealed the cracks as a temporary fix until he could fix it properly. He came and replaced the 2 cracked blocks - he even dug out the dirt in front and guided me as to how to put in a window well to prevent it from happening again!
