G P: Took a box I had with all type of coins to them. They picked out what was of value handed back the coins of only face value, to spend as I want. Very friendly, knowledgeable, quick & easy great transaction. In & out in 15min. Only place I would go for coins or stamps.

max knock: I have been to this coin shop a few times to buy silver and had fine experiences before. I went back again recently to buy a pretty sizeable amount and asked for the price per oz. The owner pete, gave me this whole rant about how he has the "best prices around" and "no one can possibly beat my prices" and on and on and on I let him know that the price he gave me was a dollar more per oz than another quote I had got. First he said I was going to get scammed and then he and some other guy started mocking me and laughing at me?!? "Go buy from him then!" So that's exactly what I did. I would've bought from him because it wasn't a bad price but his pompous attitude and arrogance towards me will make it so I never come back.

Marissa Ellsworth: I’m new to stamp collecting/using vintage stamps on my letters and this place is a goldmine. They’ll show you anything you ask for, there is no sales pressure, and I felt like I got a great deal for the stamps I bought. They were happy to answer any questions, but left me to search as they were very busy with lots of coin customers and people selling jewelry, and checked in periodically to make sure I didn’t need anything. It’s hard not to stop in every time I’m on Washtenaw (which is daily).

JBW: I needed to sell common silver coins at melt value. Before settling on this shop, I visited two competitors in Ypsilanti and one in Chelsea. Without question, Ann Arbor Stamps and Coins is the most honest and forthright. I have done business with them on roughly a dozen occasions and have never had reason to doubt my decision in dealing with them exclusively. Friendly, knowledgeable, and up front.

I definitely didn't get a friendly feel from this place. As a newer coin collector I'm trying to get info on values and what I should do. However they are in buisness of rare coins. Maybe this isn't the shop to bring normal coins to for new collectors

The others were two nice 1793 Wreath cents graded by NGC. The Wreath cent was the first penny struck in the U.S. He also showed me a Double Headed 1964 Jefferson nickel NGC certified! I was also shown a PCGS graded 1882 MS66 US Seated half that was stunning! Super neat!!In the past, Rich purchased my father's coin collection for a very competitive price. All in all-a very professional place to do business.

Philip G: THE OWNER IS A DISHONEST SCOUNDREL. I wanted to buy a few American Gold Eagles. The owher told me to call a week later, he said her would have them ready for me. I come a week later, the gold prices are growing, but he offers me not Gold Eagles but Gold Krugerrands and a sale contract, on which he scribbled that he would exchange them for American Eagles later. Well... he did not do that. He kept dragging his feet, kept telling me to come later when the prices go down, etc, etc. Many months have passed, but he still has not delivered the American Gold Eagles that I paid for. Beware, and never trust this guy.

igottafc: First time buyer and everyone was EXTREMELY helpful. I spoke with Brad on the phone at the Rochester location (call may have been rerouted to this location during this instance) but we spoke for a good 15 minutes about all intricacies of the markets and how gold and silver come into play. I live closer to the Novi location so naturally that was my best bet and was pleasantly surprised to find Anthony and the rest of the staff also extremely helpful! The location is very discreet which is a huge plus and they went through all of the different precious metal products they had in my price range. 10/10 would recommend and do not necessarily feel like I want to go anywhere else but here!
