Chris Lewis: Otherwise a good store, but DO NOT GET YOUR SKATES SHARPENED HERE! They have messed it up multiple times for me, resulting in the skates being way less usable than they were before, almost to the point of being dangerous. Had to have multiple sharpenings done at another store to undo the damage.

Chiz: We were shopping for skates for Xmas and our local shop in Sylvania, Ohio didn't have our sizes, so we went up to Perani's. The shop was a little under-staffed, so we had to wait a bit to get service. I expected to get the hustle to get us in and out but Josh completely surprised us with exceptional service. He did an great job of explaining the different options for us in plain "skate language" and sized us just right. He spent as much time as we needed and we wound up buying two pair of skates. A few weeks later, we drove all the way back up there from Sylvania to have Josh fit our daughter for skates; the exact same attention from Josh and a great experience. It's really nice to buy stuff from people who really know what they're doing. If you're looking for skates, go to Josh at Perani's and prepare to be impressed. Thanks Josh, your friends from Toledo!
Ale Ern: Was in from out of town at The Ice Cube and needed a quick skate sharpen, Micki sharpened my skates and did a phenomenal job, one of the best skate sharpenings I’ve gotten. kama kett: This was a terrible experience and do not recommend the drive. We called ahead and asked for the hours and the kid was extremely rude and hung up at the end. We ended up driving and the only worker was a 16 yr old boy who did not bother to help for 20 minutes. Finally got the attention and had no sizes above 7 or other options. Terrible experience.
Aaron Munoz: Never get your skates sharpened here. I made the mistake of going right before my game, and could barely move because it felt like I had sticks of butter on my feet. Absolutely terrible.

Justin Manners: On Tuesday (9/17/19) around 9:20 PM I experienced the worst skate sharpening from the Ann Arbor store in the Ice Cube that I have ever experienced. The worker was a gentleman with a beard. He rushed through the sharpening and it was the worst work I have ever seen. I got on the ice 30 minutes after my sharpening and I immediately had to use a sweet stick to sharpen them throughout the whole game because the blades were so dull and poorly sharpened. I have gotten my skates sharpened at this location before and have been much less than impressed, but this experience was too awful not to share. The employees at this location need more training on how to sharpen skates. It is unfortunate that the employees are under trained because this location is so convenient. I will be taking business elsewhere from now on. Please train your employees.

Eric S: I don’t live near Ann Arbor but my son was at tryouts and this location was recommended for sharpening skates. My son has always struggled to use his edges and from the first tryout to having DW’s sharpen before the second tryout he didn’t fall or lose an edge once. I’ve had many places sharpen skates over the years and have never had such incredible results!! Truly these guys are masters of their craft and have my business moving forward when I’m in that area! Dave Schultz: Great sharpening and detail work - I bring my kid's skates here for sharpening and profiling. Talking to John and Dave will teach you more about equipment and general hockey knowledge than you'll find anywhere on the internet. Bubble hockey while you wait is icing on the cake.

Eddie Smith: Nice retail facility with a great selection of sports merchandise... regretfully though, the prices are set at a staggering premium and the quality of the products and service simply do not offer enough value to justify the high premium.
Steve Adams: I’m not sure what’s going on with this location but it’s almost like they’re getting rid of their fishing/camping gear all together.We’re well into spring and the fishing/camping season has started. I went to pick up some things a few weeks ago and the shelves were disheveled with every limited stock. Thinking I was just too early I came back again today and it’s even worse. The camping section is now like two half isles, the fishing section is down to just 4 isles with 1 pack/product on every peg to make it look fuller than it is. Most items are lacking any and all variety. Good luck finding something in a length/color that you want.I’d say your local grocery/super center has more stock and variety than this “sporting goods” store, which seems to only sell clothes at this point. There’s no way you could use this store as your primary source of hard baits.

Bruce Popejoy: Went in with my nieces as they were looking for sporting items...new cleats for soccer, sports clothing and items for the upcoming track season. The selection seemed pretty good, some prices were good and other items seemed more than other stores. We were helped in the show department, the young man was running between customers and was very helpful and efficient...only think others not working as hard could have stepped up and helped. Lots of clearance in the main aisles. We found most items quickly and were on our way to the next store in a timely manner.

Tab B: I was in the store shopping and had a physical emergency, I could not find anyone in the back of the store. I stuck my head through the "employee only" doors, knocked on the break room where the manager appeared to be. I was promptly yelled at by the manager even when I tried to explain my situation. I have in the past spent much at this store. I will never return. Thank goodness I wasn't having a heart attack.
Maxine Mercier: Very little help when you are trying to find something. Then when you're being checked out and the cashier just slides the money in a rude way instead of handing it to you. I just took it wrong, maybe. However even if you don't want to be at work try to be more polite and wear a smile. Otherwise call off cause your having a bad day.

Ana Sanchez: FALSE ADVERTISING: Ordered a Portable Tennis Net which was suppose to ship within 3 to 5 business days and after not receiving a shipping confirmation for a week, I was informed that this is an item that takes 2 to 3 weeks to manufacture and also that is not a portable item as it's build as 1 unit and need a freight truck to ship!! We were told several times the item would ship "this week" and finally they accepted they did not have the item ready and the order was cancelled. In addition to the misinformation on the product, my the customer service experience was deplorable. Diane who is there customer service representative was not apologetic at all or tried to present any solutions. The worst experience I have had buying something online.

Violet H: Great place to go when you have kids that play sports and they grow out of equipment quickly. You can find almost anything you could want/need. The staff is great also. They're super friendly and helpful here. If they don't have something, they are always happy to direct you somewhere that does. They have a super quick skate sharpening service too!!

A ton of disks for disc golf, a great selection of skis, snowboards, ski boots, baseball cleats, balls and bats, gloves and padding, golf clubs and bags! Josh is phenomenal and helpful! Josh Goriesky: I was browsing the disc golf selection at this store and found two of my own discs that I had lost that both had my name and phone number on them. They put their price tag over my info to make it difficult to see. Thankfully the discs were see through. Very disappointed I had to buy my own discs back. In the future PIAS should refuse to buy discs with names/phone numbers on them.

Jermaine Buckines: I called about some soccer cleats for a kid and they young man answers the phone and says yes we have that size. I said great can you put them to the side for me. I’m coming now and when I get there five minutes later not only did the kid lie he didn’t even look for the size I asked about so I just wasted my time going to the store. What a waste of time and poor customer service. Never get another dollar from me again.
