Washtenaw Sportsman's Club: what do users think?
Kyle ¿: Only takes old, white, cis, straight conservatives as members. Don't bother with any meetings or events if you don't meet those criteria, you'll just waste your time as no one will want to sponsor you for membership. No outright slurs or bigotry, but more dogwhistles than a pet store along with the polite-but-distant hallmark of Midwestern bigots. And that's to say nothing of the rampant fuddery and general anti-enjoyment attitude on the range. Hopefully they lose the land to some developer or someone who could do something actually useful with the land.
Thomas Czlapinski: Love this place, great friend and family environment.
Roger Calhoun: Great all around sportsman club
Jordan Harrison: Does not respond to emails.
Sumanth Reddy: Very busy place but great shooting range. Check out Groupon for offers, if more than 2 people are visiting here, to save some money. Well maintained and helpful people to make you understand every thing better and make you comfortable if you are a first timer for the shooting ranges. Call before you leave, if you are traveling from far away to make sure you don’t wait longer here. As it’s usually busy during weekends, the usual wait time is around 1 hour. So, to save time, call first !
G-man: Awesome place for shooting anything.
Marta Scheenstra: Great place that holds really fun events throughout the year. High reccommend the wild women of washtenaw weekend in May!
Hugh Brooks: Recommend visiting the website to see the variety of activities and attend some weekend events. Then go ahead and join.
Cascade Dee: Great place to learn all about the shooting sports! Great youth focused programs! Superb safety focus!!
Mitch S: A relaxed atmosphere for the shootings sports
Rita O'Brien: Excellent staff!!! They care about kids!!
Andy: I travel with quite a few outdoorsy people, shooters and hunters. We were looking for a place to shoot some new black powder rifles in the Washtenaw area. After some emailing, one of the members of this club offered to meet us up at their black powder range. I thought at the time that this was very considerate to be willing to just come out and meet us like that. Being non-members we were only allowed to shoot firearms on these ranges with someone being there. So some family and friends drive over an hour to visit and to do some shooting. We showed up at the range and the member guy never showed. We sat around for over an hour and I spent that time emailing, texting and calling him with no response. 4 hours later I did get a call and an apology and an offer to set something up at a later date, I guess something came up and he forgot, so that's worth taking into consideration. But it was awkward and embarrassing to be stood up in front of my family and friends. From just the one experience at this place, it is my opinion that this place is staffed by people who lack consideration and are undependable, at least in the black powder area. So for that I would recommend going anywhere else, unless you don't care if you end up driving out here for nothing or are a member already.
Michael Zahner: Muzzle loader range

Ann Arbor Arms: what do users think?
Robert Snow: Store is clean, well-stocked, and full of courteous and knowledgeable staff. I'm not a member... Yet. For the price and benefits, a membership is definitely worth it. I took my CPL training course at A3 on 5/20. Harley Ryder was my instructor, and he was phenomenal; thorough, excellent attention to detail, and covered all required information, including a few real-world stories and asides from his personal and professional life, during the classroom portion. When it came to the practical, shooting portion of the training program, Harley coached me on my grip and trigger action, which helped me achieve excellent results and better grouping than I have previously been able to. I highly recommend that, if you are looking for a location to receive your CPL training, that you strongly consider A3 and their excellent team.
William Crown: This facility is absolutely beautiful, and the people running it will absolutely point you in the right direction. They can handle pretty much anything in-house, including training from experienced instructors. I stopped there to check it out, have some work done, and pick up a few things. Definitely worth the drive if you're not local. 10/10 recommend. The staff take this beautiful facility OVER THE TOP.-William
Kevin “IAMKEVINKINZER” Kinzer: Incredible experience working with Tim at Ann Arbor Arms!!!! These guys are stocking GSL Technology Suppressors Dealers, a company making cans less than 30min from Ann Arbor!!! :) I would HIGHLY recommend this shop, range, and team for your future suppressors and NFA needs! Thank you Tim!!!!
Avram Liebowitz: Wonderful and great place, people really come first here. Everyone is highly knowledgable and ready to help. Great staff, great products, amazing facilities. This place just keeps getting better and better; simply the best sporting shop around. The best ranges in the area, best selection of products available. Such an amazing place and wonderful people.
Eddie Smith: I was a member here for over a year. Ann Arbor Arms has an exceptional facility... it's always clean, well-maintained, and well-designed from a customer experiencd perspective. Seriously, this business is best-in-class when it comes to reinvesting in their facility. Ann Arbor Arms also has good service. Their staff are very polite and seem to truly care about helping customers. And for a firearms retailer and gun range, I have found Ann Arbor Arms to have very reasonable prices. But regrettably, and the biggest motivation for terminating my membership, is that Ann Arbor Arms demonstrates no consideration for the environment. I brought these concerns up to the company's leaders for over a year and I never saw any action or follow through. Every day this business throws hundreds of large paper targets in the trash instead of recycling them. This business has made no investments into EV charging stations despite the growing trend of vehicle electrification. And Ann Arbor Arms has made no investment into solar panels and also no attempts to purchase renewable energy through the grid.Again, Ann Arbor Arms has a great facility, excellent service, and reasonable prices. But that's not enough to be successful in today's business environment, and I hope this company's leadership makes changes given the culture of the Ann Arbor area and consumers like me who enjoy recreational shooting but also want to protect the environment.
Mo H: Walked in here with hopes of getting help with my AR. I took it to couple other shops closer to my house who had no idea what was going on. Said i needed a gun smith. Took it into A2 fire arms & within 10 minutes of being there i got the whole situation resolved. The AR is good as new. I asked if i should leave it and he told me not to worry and was going to fix it on the spot which they did. They explained to me what the problem was, and insisted i don’t leave a tip. I couldn’t thank them enough so I’ll just do a little thanking back by giving this review. The range is also really cool!
Misty Quick: We had such a fun time at Ann Arbor Arms. Loved our time at this Veteran-owned business! Thank you!
Northman: The guys that work here are very kind and professional. They were EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks again for the help with the ATF stuff! Made a complicated process as simple as can be.
Chase: Can't even leave a message on their answering machine. Just wanted to know if I could get a CPL here. Guess I never will...
Isaac Bear: Almost every firearm I’ve purchased over the last 9 years has been from A3. Went looking for a target 22 pistol for my wife today, after our range time. Shane and Dalton (spelling?) offered their personal pistol, ammunition, etc for her to try out before purchasing. This was the first gun she herself has purchased, and the experience test firing made her comfortable/confident that she was choosing the right gun for her.
Insang Hwang: Everywhere else is mid. Every other opinion is wrong
Simon: This place is clean and great people working here.
GTA Grogu: Rental guns need cleaning. I am a tier II member. I try different firearms available for rental. In the last 6 months, I find that 70% of the rental firearms are dirty. 2 out of 5 regulars who work at the range counter make up policies and constraints to make me pay for add-ons. When I call them out (knowing the rules well) they quickly slink back and stop upselling. 4 out of 10 times the range counter guys will forget to activate your lane. So you go inside, unpack, and have to come back out because they forgot to activate the allocated lane. Prices are a major markup - both for sales items and for FFL checks. Go elsewhere. Membership contract is a trap. If you want to cancel, you need to pay half of the "balance" for the rest of the first year as a cancellation fee. Not even cell phone companies and Ann Arbor apartment landlords have such draconian termination fees.
Ananya Shukla: Incorrect times. Says closed at 5 on Christmas eve so we waste 30 mins driving out there and it's closed at 345. Great. Otherwise always a nice experience. To update, the times are incorrect on the main Google page of the business.
Carlos Bancroft: Great people always helpful and pleasant,
Cherie Monroe: I went too get some sights put on my gun Dalton D did a excellent job was very friendly and knowledgeable All of the salesman were so friendly I ended up buying another pistol for a great price.. I highly recommend this business.
JoeJoe Seesingtons: My first time here and the staff was so helpful and welcoming! Kim was a big help and the range was clean/safe. Plenty of inventory and great prices. I'm 100% purchasing a membership
Michael Kim: Was able to get some range time in today, which is always nice. Staff are nice people all around, and I'm able to get everything I need for the range.
Uneeb Haque: Very nice workers and treat me well
Randall L.: Came up from Ohio for a training class with Gladiator Gunz Training Group. This is an amazing facility. It's bright and modern; the range we were on could easily accommodate our class size and provide us with the chance to shoot steel and paper targets. And the store has everything you could want or need for your range day and beyond. After my diminished environment class, I went to the store and purchased a handheld tactical flashlight. Just a great experience all around.Ann Arbor Arms would be my gun range of choice if I lived in TSUN (That State Up North).
mou Mu: great place and staff

Western Wayne County Conservation Association: what do users think?
Larry Maitland II: Great people, lots of activities, great value. A no-brainer organization to join if you live in the area.
Richard Spicko: "Members must be a member of the NRA" Would love to join, but that's a non-starter for me.
Matthew Bell: Great value for someone who likes to shoot.
d hanka: A great club for the sportsman. This is a private club but the yearly membership is approximately .50 a day! Their trap and skeet fields are open to the public on weekends. They have 8 ranges and then some! The programs for women are amazing. Their youth programs are incredible. Something for everyone! They take new members year round now.
The Outlander: Love it! Nice relaxing environment for family friendly activities. All of the members and staff are respectful and polite.
Tom Kemper: Nice place. Better than the public ranges
Destry Hoffard: Shot here twice and I would certainly go again.
O B: Awesome place
Lee Adelman: This is by far the most disorganized, least customer service gun club I have been to in 30 years. I have too much to say here but trust me, if you MUST shoot skeet or trap and have to be within 15 mins of location, keep driving. This isn’t it. Seems like only the private ranges around here have even a little clue and they’re not top drawer either
Gary Meharg: My son Jordan and I have members for 7 years and enjoy shooting together. Excellent 12 lane pistol range so each lane sets own distance. Seldom busy or crowded. Steel plates are hung. Each member a RSO so watch each other. More relaxed than staff barking orders. Offers lunch on the weekends. Great programs for youth. Officers are working to improve the club. 3 rifle ranges out to 200 yards. Consider the club a great value. Have made many friends
Bernard Zarb: Had the best experience there sighting in our guns.Spotters assist you with sighting in your gun. Very well organized.
E. Zad: Nice facilities.
Lumber Black: It was a decent experience, I went there to take my Hunter safety course. It was a breeze, I got one wrong, but there was a guy just cutting me with his stare like he wanted to end my life, I don't know why, but I felt the silent hate in my soul.
Thick Black Glock: WWCCA is a nice club. If you're looking for a place to shoot your pistols or an occasional rifle, it's great. If you're more experienced with firearms, the mass of inexperienced shooters and retirees will grind on you.Sadly, common sense is no longer applicable on the range. Instead, you're bombarded by individuals with nothing better to do than enforce rules they openly disagree with (if you have shot at island lake, you know what I'm talking about). It's also annoying to drive all the way out, only to be told it's "sighting in days" and that you're going to have to PAY to use the range... Even though you paid club dues and a yearly range fee!Hitting the range should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience, especially for a club so outspoken on the preservation of liberty and freedom. Firearms Safety is one thing... Nagging shooters on the firing line is another!
Vincent De Santo: Attentiness of the volunteers
Sam B (WannaPlayMyBass): Private sportsman club. Enjoyed visit here with members. Very friendly people.
Jim Fisher: I have been a member for several years and have 2 sons currently 26 and 24. I have decided not to renew my membership this year as have my sons. My youngest son took 2 guests to teach them to shoot and got a dressing down from the range officer without violating any range rules. He is an rso and dues paying member and was doing nothing wrong. Those three young men will not be part of the clubs future unfortunately. My older son made an appt. to qualify on the 50 yd standing rifle. when he met with the range officer, he was rude and condescending and snarled at my son about a sling requirement. My son politely pointed out to him there was no sling requirement for that qualification and the officer reluctantly agreed. He was rude and snotty. I was there , and observed this behavior. During the 2016 site in days, my friend and I signed in to site in our rifles for deer season. we were there early, left our firearms in the building and due to the amount of people, stepped out the side door with our coffee to chat. A range officer stepped out and told us to get back inside. I don't know what rules we broke then but we felt pretty foolish for breaking them. I know safety is paramount and my sons and I always follow the rules. The experience is not relaxing and fun anymore. We were never regulars and many range officers probably did not recognize us, I understand that. As dues paying members though, we deserve some respect. Sadly, I, My sons, and any future members they may have brought in will not be a part of the club.
Wendell G.: Love this place. Fun place to shoot.
Thom Beauchamp: We really enjoy this facility. The youth archery program in the summer and winter are the main draw for us right now, but soon we hope to enjoy the firearm facilities. Thanks to all the archery volunteers!
Michael Parr: Great Club. Has 200, 100, 50 and 25 yard ranges, shotgun, air rifle, archery, black powder....and more. Active community.
