The Man Garage: Not the best, not the worst. I ordered appetizer, lamb pasanda and mango lassi that came in the tiniest kids cup. Portions are small. I ordered 2 orders of naan and it came wrapped in foil and steamy. I could tell the top pieces were very tender and fresh and I think they snuck in some old stale naan on the bottom to get rid of it. It was so hard and stale that it was difficult to tear in half.
Rachit Kaushik: Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Salisha Baranwal: I just had a meal here and after Madras Masala THIS IS THE PLACE TO EAT FOR INDIAN FOOD. There food was impeccable and better than the food was their host, who not only made amazing recommendations but also let me try some of the Gongura masala. Seriously an amazing place to eat and really nice atmosphere. I will be coming here again…and again :)
Maxim Em: Great place. Great food.

Darshit patel: Fantastic food..very very flavorful food..Best food …
Royal Family: Great food🥘.Great service..Good delicious taste with great ambiance.. Best veg Manchurian and choley bhatura and garlic naan with Malai kofta...Good job..I’m regular customer of this place 👍🏻👍🏻
Nikita Smeshko: Soggy naan probably microwaved, sauces were not freshly made and very watery
Sankeerth Mudiraj: Great food, Good hospitality and its a must Dine in place at Ann Arbor.Chichen Tikka Masala and Lamb Biryani are must try dishes.
S. Avila: I can't believe this place has this many stars! I think the problem is that the people of Ann Arbor don't know any better. This place is awful. I ordered the spicy chicken tikka masala and it wasn't spicy. I also ordered Chapatis---but they didn't have them. Instead, I was offered and accepted garlic naan. The naan was soggy. The sauce in the chicken masala reminded me of Campbell's Tomato Soup when I was a kid. I suspect that it was simply that--a canned soup for the sauce. Aroma is not an appropriate name for this place. It implies the food smells good and is therefore tasty. I have to admit the samosas were good. Who can mess up samosas, right? Of course they may not have even been made on site! Also, why the pitiful Valentine's Day signs nearly 6 weeks after the holiday has come and gone? The ambiance...no, not good. I'm just hoping to save others from making the same mistake I did by choosing this place.
Jared T: Ironically enough, we were walking towards another place when an Aroma caught our attention. Glancing around, the aptly name Aroma Indian Cuisine called out to us and we were not disappointed. They were very friendly, had great recommendations and made sure our little's food would meet her very discriminate standards. My only complaint would be that the "medium" spicy wasn't what I would consider medium. I should've ordered my curry at a spicier level. Otherwise everything was great!

Dhanush chandra Kalathur: Heavenly food and good ambience. Their specialty is Southern Indian food. Everything we ordered was on point, flavorful and fresh. Excellent food and the team running the place seem to be doing all the right things to be successful. Definitely recommend and will surely come backFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dahi Vada, Mango Lassi, Rava Masala Dosa, Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan …More
Avik Biswas: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Vishnu Santosh Kusam: Probably the place with worst service in all of Ann Arbor. Average food, utterly disgusting service.
Maxwell Berkowitz: Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Candace Winslow: Styrofoam is generally unhealthy for storing or reheating food, and persistent pollutant during production and as waste. Alas, I forgot to bring my own container.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Laura: The chicken is surprisingly good since it is not as dry as most Indian restaurants. Try Lassi as well! But the shrimp is just soso, the amount is little.
J K: This place used to be my family’s go-to for Indian food in a2. They’ve really fallen off since Covid. Very disappointed in our most recent visit (3/30/23).Pros:Great authentic flavorsClean facilityCons:They took away the buffet indefinitely. That was the best part! The portions stayed the same size, but now there is literally 2 small pieces of meat/protein per dish. It’s all sauce. Was really disappointed to come in, spend $90 on 3 dishes + apps & notice that all we really got was rice & sauce. Couple that with no more buffet, and I’ll skip next time.
Khurram Rehman: The place is pretty good overall and is better than most Indian food restaurants in Ann Arbor area.
Ananya Shukla: Tasty but somehow mild even after ordering spicy and medium spicy, wonder if its due to being ordered under my partners american name. Also given pilaf instead of plain rice for all of our entrees which was disappointing and has not happened before. 4 stars cuz this is only one experience and I've had many other good ones from here.
Rebecca Denenberg: Large portions. Great!
gayatri aiyer: Suvai will forever be my favorite Indian restaurant. My always go-to place in Ann arbor. Highly recommended authentic and good south indian traditional food...Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
k r: food is great!!!
VOID: The food is delicious but play music a new restaurant I don't want to hear the exact conversation of the person on the other side of the restaurant. At least put in some white noiseFood: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Camila Burky: Deliciosos platos! Pedí la opción de almuerzo que traía varios mini platos con pollo y estaba buenísimo. Totalmente recomendado!
Elena G.: Amazing and authentic Indian food!Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Dhroov Patel: Taste of India is not bad, the food is about what you'd expect out of an Indian restaurant in the United States. The chicken tikka masala tasted a bit strange, it tastes relatively artificial in some sense and I would say its a bit overpriced. The staff is nice enough and the atmosphere inside makes up for some complaints I would have about their food.

India Cafe: what do users think?
Isaac Koenig: Great food
Melis Steiner: We ordered takeout from India Cafe, and the food was delicious! The owner was also very friendly when we went to pick up our food. We had a nice chat and he repeated our special dietary preferences to let us know that they followed our instructions. I appreciate this sort of service and care. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended for vegans!Vegetarian options: Yes! Vegan too.Parking: Easy and free - right in frontDietary restrictions: Great for vegans
Himanshu Gulati: We ordered Chicken biryani. It's basically half cooked chicken taused with half cooked rice.Completely disappointing experienceFood: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Minkyu Choi: Good Indian restaurant.
MILAN PATEL: Completely run down restaurant. Only 1 person as chef, server and was getting little frustrated for any request. Gobi manchurian was so bad that felt like throwing up. Weirdest test of some kind of sauce. One of the paneer shubji was okay. Only thing was really good was naan. It was out of this world. Not a good restaurant for vegetarian as far as taste.
Deat: I'm not kidding when I say THE BEST Indian food around and the NICEST owner. Please stop in and grab some food. He doesn't make his chicken tikka masala with nuts like most Indian restaurants. Amazing food amazing owner.
Abhishek Roy: Food was delicious and much more authentic Indian food taste than any other place I have tried. Prices were reasonable. I would call it hidden gem type place, as it was not located on busy street and owner might not have put much effort to make the place look appealing, but I would strongly recommend this place for it's authentic food taste. I tried samosas, paneer Tikka masala, chicken Tikka masala and all of them were very tasty. Felt nostalgic like touch of home made food feeling as well. Owner was also a nice gentleman. I also liked the 80's or 90's Bollywood music often being played in the background every time I have visited for my to go orders.Vegetarian options: Paneer Tikka masala, Aaloo samosas
Bernardo Modenesi: Simple place, but delicious food. The cook is a really nice guy too. I wanna say more on the authentic Indian side?
Michael Pilipchuk: Amazing homey place. Very friendly, very great food. I highly recommend the samosas.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mohammed Rasheed: Food was INCREDIBLE. True authentic Indian food (coming from a true Indian)
Shanmukha Kiran A: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Anurut Huntrakul: I ordered a lamb briyani which cost 19 $. The rice was very sour and the grain broke down in small pieces. They put just like 5 small pieces of lamb in.
sun kat: Owner is really nice. They have cholla bhatura which is hard to find in Ann Arbor. I called and checked.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Bernie Huang: Ok ok Indian food.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Naan, Chicken Tikka …More
Cyn xoxox: My husband and I love this place got amazing service from Virginia highly recommend
Nathan Andren: So I'm driving my new (used) car back to Brighton from Indiana, starving after an 8 hour ordeal buying the car. En route I order from India Cafe because there are zero(!!) Indian restaurants in Brighton, and it's the easiest to reach from M-14. It's near closing but I manage to squeak in to pick up. The friendly owner is sitting there with my order ready to go and asks "What's good today?" I tell him about buying the car and suddenly we're talking about cars in Saudi Arabia in the '80s. It's like we're old friends, and by the time I leave he blesses my car. I'm floored by his friendliness and thinking, "If the food is half as awesome as the owner, this is the only Ann Arbor Indian restaurant I'll patronize." It wasn't half as awesome - twice and then some! Granted, I was starving, but I've eaten Indian from London to San Fran and this was no joke good - flavorful, spicy (I ordered medium), nicely spiced rice, the works! It shows when food is prepared with heart, and this humble spot has heart in spades 3
Brian Shell: The aromas when you walk in are fabulous... delicious authentic Indian food. Each time I order take out, I get home, eat, and say, "Wow! This guy can cook!!"
Shibamouli Lahiri: Heaven on EarthUn restaurante fabuloso
Kaveri Rai: The best Indian food I've had in Ann Arbor and the owner was very hospitable. Would 100% recommend it!
Genevieve Leet: Wonderful place! Not a grocery store anymore, just a cafe these days. Highly recommend, kind and helpful staff.

Rohit Pawar: AWFUL SERVICE!!!Kept us waiting for 50 minutes after taking order. We got food after 1 hour which was UNCOOKED. Food with no salt. Biryani was just hot rice with no salt and taste. Chicken was uncooked.
Praful Patil: Food quality and service was not worth paying. Biryani was served as a hot rice with uncooked chicken. No flavours in curry, long waiting for almost an hour.
Shajil Muneer: Quantity and Quality both are very bad, we had normal food and per person price went more than 30. Each person had to buy chicken curry separately cz of low quantity
Sidharth Mahesh: Amazing service and really delicious food. Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in USA.
Angelo Sajosh: Really enjoyed the tikka masala and their bullet naan . Must visit

Earthen Jar: what do users think?
Amjad Aman: Their food is best described as "delicious and comfort Indian food". Lots of vegan and gluten free options. Not too spicy. Feels like homemade food at a restaurant. Really nice staff!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten-free and vegan options
D Gilmer: Great vegan options (the majority of the dishes), but I did not find the food to be that good. It could be that I got to the buffet too late in the afternoon, so it wasn't as fresh. I would return earlier in the day.
Jennifer Miller: Food was very good, but not worth the price. I feel like the weight system made me hyper conscious about how much I was scooping and the options are so heavy that I felt as if I was scammed. I would rather pay a higher standard price per plate and get to scoop as much as I would enjoy. I spent $12 and left the restaurant still feeling hungry. My friend I was with ended up spending $25 for a plate that did fill her, but definitely not worth it!
Sydney Gable: I recently planned an event for my department for ~120 people and Earthen Jar provided the food. They were incredibly helpful and responsive to all of my questions. They made sure that all of our dietary restrictions and allergies were taken care of with no problem. The food arrived hot and very tasty!Vegetarian options: All of the food is entirely vegetarian and most dishes are vegan as well.Dietary restrictions: They were very helpful and accommodating with all of our allergy and dietary requirements.
Scott TenBrink: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Tristan Burnham: Food: 5/5More
John Hood Jr: Delicious and fresh vegan Indian food. Simply the best!Recommended dishes Channa Masala, Nan, Masala Tofu, Mattar Paneer, Mango Lassi …More
Dhroov Patel: A rather odd system with the price per pound when you dine in, but this is the closest to homemade Indian food I've gotten in Ann Arbor. Highly recommend if you're a vegetarian/vegan or if you want a taste of homemade Indian food.
Chloe F: I’ve been coming here my entire life and I can’t say enough good things about Earthen Jar. They are always warm and welcoming here! Obviously the food is amazing. Pictured below is my delicious plate and a soy mango lassi on the right. They have my favorite Channa Masala of any restaurant and their Matter Paneer is also amazing - two of my favorite items but you can’t go wrong with anything else. Love it :)
john martin rogers: This review concerns the use of canola oil in all its products. All processed oils are harmful and canola leads the list. It is genetically modified and chemicals are used in refining process. Look it up! The restaurant is doing a disservice to its customers by using canola. Extra Virgin Olive oil, even processed, is a much better alternative because it retains its antioxidants and vitamins. Canola has no nutritional value and is junk food.
Marianna O.: I’ve been coming here for 18 years. I’m not vegetarian. I simply love the food. My favorite is the dal saag and mango lassi. Highly recommend both if you come by. Absolutely excellent. More so, it’s run by the same family, so please support your local business!
Noel French: A decade+ ago I loved this place as a vegetarian undergrad. Today I found that they are at the University Hospital cafeteria two days a week. I've been here most days for about a month as my wife went into premature labor and my twin daughters have been in the NICU. I was overjoyed to see them with a space in the cafeteria, and wish I'd known sooner. Such a delightful respite from the Cottage Inn pizza, prepack sushi, and grab and go sandwiches and salads that I've otherwise been eating. Here's hoping this place continues to offer great tasting, healthy Indian food to hungry students, residents, and visitors for years to come!
Matt Semelbauer: Delicious Indian food with plenty of vegan options, as well as non vegan. A must try!
Joanna Causey: So effin good.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian 😋
Monica Vogel: Great food, wonderful staff. Smaller place, fresh food. This was one of my favorites when I was at school. Now, whenever I am back in Ann Arbor, I always try to eat here. Delicious!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian
A A: The food was wonderful and so was the staff. All but two of the dishes were vegan and they were amazing.I wish I lived closer to Ann Arbor, I'd easily become a regular. Will definitely be eating here again before the end of our vacation.Vegetarian options: Vegan options are clearly labeled and all dishes are vegetarian.
Laurie & Amjad Aman: Great vegan and gluten free options! Soy mango lasso, ladoos, and more
Gabby Ashenafi: The food here is so flavorful!! 5/5 it’s one of the best places I’ve eaten in Ann Arbor. Their hours are a little difficult but that’s because they’ve started a lot of other partnerships since the pandemic. Come for the food and stay for the kind & warm service
E.J. Westlake: Really great Indian vegetarian food and really affordable.
J: Never a bad experience here in 20 years. The people are great and the food is good. I’m not even vegetarian but I’m not missing meat when I eat here.
Calvin Roberts: I would give six stars if I could.

Lynne Richards: Cardamom is one of our favorite restaurants. It is our favorite Indian food in southeast Michigan.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Karahi Goat, Chicken Tikka Masala Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Gopal Shrestha: Only received 9/10 momos. Goat biryani was okay - I hope they have more pieces of goat along with sliced lemons and onions.Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Momo …More
Nicole: My go-to Indian place in Ann Arbor!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Butter Chicken …More
Udit Anand: Cardamom is our go-to for Indian food in Ann Arbor. We have enjoyed takeout and dine in from Cardamom for a few years.Their Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta, and Dal Tarka are all excellent. The breads (Roti, Naan, and Garlic Bread) were quite good too. I really enjoyed the Gulab Jamun, which was exceptionally soft. The Rice Pudding was decent as well. The Nimbu Paani was average - felt a little watered down, low on sugar, and with a dominant flavor of cloves. The service was excellent and they were quick to accommodate our large party of 8 people. All in all, we have greatly enjoyed Cardamom over the years and would highly recommend it!
Charles Carlson: Delicious! Love the Korma, saag n tandoori chicken.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Siri Gudur: Firstly the taste of the food is worst. It is not properly cooked and its not fresh because of which my friend suffered with severe stomach problems. Second the waitress in the restaurant are unprofessional and rude. I would strongly recommend not to visit this restaurant.
Sabari Samudrala: Worst taste. Don’t understand how it got 4+ ratings and reviews.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5Recommended dishes Vegetable Pakora, Naan and Roti Basket, Mango Lassi, Momo …More
Farzaneh Ziaee: Excellent food and service.
Brian Shell: Superb curry, aromatic naan - Namaste, namaste, namaste
Amos Epelman (Asmosis): The food wasn't terrible, but for Indian food, I expected much more of a flavor punch. I use Tika Masala as my base for Indian restaurants because if you can knock that out of the park, then the rest of your menu should be fantastic.Unfortunately, the Tika was pretty mild in terms of flavor besides heat, and was pretty runny / liquidy. The chicken was very soft, but did not have much flavor on its own. I think I would be willing to give this place another try, but overall ended up pretty disappointed.
Khurram Rehman: This place is okay, but definitely overrated. The food is not authentic and is quite pricey for quantity and no taste. The employees were nice. I would not recommend this place if you want real Indian food or trying Indian food for the first time.Parking: Not many parking spots in area for the number of stores in shopping outlet and driving area is tight.
Zacharie Stephen: This place was fantastic. The wait wasn’t long. The staff was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. The food was phenomenal. I got mild and it wasn’t hot enough, and I’m a light weight. Samosas were good and the fresh dips were delish especially the mint.Recommended dishes Vegetable Samosa, Chicken Makhni, Chicken Tikka Masala, Sauce, Vegetable Pakora …More
Rosee: The food was delicious and the staff was SOOO attentive to food allergies.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Alyssa B.: The manager is very unprofessional.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Mithika Pawar: First of all I went there for dinner expecting authentic Indian food but there was just tomato in every dish, tastes same. I don’t recommend if you are looking for authentic because this restaurant is just American on Indian name.
Shafiqul Mahee: Momo was worth it but everything else was okay
Nikolai Belinski: Food was alright, service was mediocre. It was super busy last night but forgot our appetizer and asked if we still wanted it after we got our entrees. Also ran out of Chai. May give this place another shot in the future. The mango lassi was really good!Recommended dishes Mango Lassi …More
