Yooyung Imsland: I had Frye leather boots that had separated leather soles and expected that they would stitch them together as it had been done originally. Instead, they were glued together, and when I brought them back, he didn’t think he did anything wrong despite being able to pull the bottom sole down to show the gummy separation. He didn’t offer to fix it after paying something like $40 for a terrible job. Never will I go back there.

Ren Gray-Wright: I dropped off my vintage leather jacket to have a single snap repaired, something I could’ve done myself if I had the tools. The job they did on the snap itself was fine, but they charged me $25 because they had to open up the lining to get it done. For the quality of the stitching they used to sew it back up though, it’s ridiculous that they charged me that much. Just a couple minutes more effort or a little more care would’ve produced a much more professional result. I ripped out their stitching and redid it myself with an invisible ladder stitch. Still, the holes from their thread remain in my jacket lining.When I called them to see if I could get a partial refund I was told I should’ve asked them to repair it before complaining. How could I expect someone who did such a horrid job in the first place to do better? They probably thought they could get away with rushed stitching since I’m young. Too bad I was taught how to sew and know better. Awful service. I could’ve forgiven them for the wait and pricing if they had just shown a little more care and professionalism.

Atticus Finch: Recently engaged the services of DLR for my aging leather Barcalounger that was sagging badly on one side. It was once our pride and joy, but was unusable after too many careless people sat on it asymetrically while the recliner mechanicals were extended. DLR came to my home and found several broken frame supports, (metal and wooden). Despite very close quarters, the service pro did all that was reasonable to replace/refurbish required parts, even going to our nearby Lowe's to secure brackets. When finished, the 25 year-old chair was stronger than new and ready to use again. We are totally satisfied with the results and would recommend to anyone seeking quality workmanship. BTW, I was surprised at the cost, which was much less than I had feared, since there aren't many who do this kind of repair anymore.
