Four hours after they arrived, a broken lock and door damage, the other company could not get me into my home and left with me still locked out and even more stressed. I called XG Lock n Key who was able to tell me about my lock situation and assess damage just based off a picture. They came out immediately despite it being late by that point, I had to wait 2 hours for other company to arrive.. It was a night and day difference between XG Lock n Key and the other company, and really made me appreciate what a difference having a real professional locksmith made. Xavier the owner was incredibly knowledgeable and professional and had me back inside in no time. He explained what had been done by the other company and what should have been done. I am so grateful XG Lock n Key was able to help me out after such a terrible experience with first company. The pricing was also much better than what the other company wanted for their hackjob. Eli Rotman: For car lockouts, they are efficient, but not at all honest with the cost. I was told that it would cost $90-$150 to open my car. When they got there, they had it open in less than 1 minute and proceeded to charge $230. Assuming that the $30 service fee covered the time it took to drive to my house, they were charging about $200/min *60 min = $12000 per hour to get open the car.

Robert Cindric: Keys were cut precisely and worked perfectly. Instructions on the machine were not as intuitive as I would have liked and took longer to cut the key than I expected. However, the convenience and accuracy of the process was appreciated.

Amanda: We called to get a locksmith to get us back into our home garage. A technician called us back and said there wasn’t a technician in our area. We live in Saline and there are numbers for both Ann Arbor and Ypsi which are right next to us. I tried to get more info on exactly how they would service those areas and not us. The man said a technician was “hours away” without providing any details on distance or location. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, he hung up on me. Sounded like someone who simply didn’t want to do their job. Horrible customer service.

Candace Fuson: Called company, had to argue with receptionist about MY address where I live then the tech called and I had to argue with him about the address and he calls back saying he's here but he's at the wrong address! If you can't get the address right what kind of work will you do?
Caroline: I was leery to use this service at my nearest retail grocery chain. So often the copy of a key is roughly replicated and does not work smoothly to unlock the door knob, locker, etc. Although expensive, I have had no problem at all with this key.

Almost 8 hours later, they finally called and set up an appointment for 10 am the next day. We were on our way to the locked vehicle to meet for our appointment time and the technician called and quoted us and moved the time to noon. Once we arrived at noon we waited for a few minutes and then reached out and they said they were 25-35 minutes out. 40 minutes later they showed up. Cost was $125 more than quoted, because it needed to be “programmed”, which you would think they would know the vehicle. Then, it was an additional 10% for using credit, which had we known cash would have been brought.They were super fast once there, so that was definitely the upside.Services:Car lockouts,New key fob creation
