Mathnasium: what do users think?
Kelly Sexton: This is a wonderful resource. I've sent two of my kids there and have seen how Mathnasium can help them build confidence and ability with math.
Megan Brown: Highly recommend! Our middle school student's math skills, grades & confidence are vastly improved after spending the past year working with the tutors here. Very thankful for the supportive & encouraging environment.
Deep Singh: Good people Good Service
Mei Zhang: Excellent service — My son's math ability has grown substantially since he began studying at Mathnasium. The owners are very kind and smart, and teachers do very well by explaining concepts thoroughly.
MaysaFB: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Bill Emkow: I turned to Mathnasium when my son struggled with 7th and 8th grade math before, but especially during COVID-19. The situation felt dire and I figured in a worst-case scenario Mathansium would be extra work to get him up to speed. After one year (to the week!) of starting Mathnasium in Ann Arbor, he has a 92% grade after his first trimester of high school math. The turnaround was shockingly successful. While my son didn't choose to do math in his free time (including the summer to prevent brain drain), he understood why he was doing it and it really was math without tears. He had two 1-hour lessons per week, online only. Mathnasium was way, way, way more prepared to handle online learning than the public schools. It was easy and seamless. The communication with Grace and Vera is truly incredible, as well. I couldn't be more pleased. We will definitely go back if my son needs assistance ever again and I would highly recommend Mathnasium.
Miranda Keskes: Positive:Quality
Anthony Nitsos: Positive:Professionalism,Value
Lorray Brown: I like the personalized attention. You work with the students where they are in their math classes.
Bing Ye: Our kid is in an accelerated math class at school, which challenges them more than regular classes. The Mathnasium in Ann Arbor does a fantastic job helping students in such cases! Rachel is a superb teacher, who clearly has a talent in teaching math to teenagers. Thank you, Mathnasium for the outstanding management and for recruiting top-notch teachers to help students.
Caden Che: Great place, really teaches the children a lot about math. This is where your child should be if they want to improve at math the fun way.
Rebecca Cunningham: We love Mathnasium. Our teens get help individually with high school math and our 6 th grader get group support to help her math comfort. The staff is gracious flexible and knowledgeable. Creates a safe happy place to learn math
Sharon Simonton: My daughter had an excellent experience at Mathnasium. She attended tutoring sessions there for 3 years (grades 6-8). Started at Mathnasium when she was very behind, getting poor test scores, and was increasingly convinced that she "wasn't good at math." Mathnasium was able to identify and address missing/weak skills in her math foundation. She's been thriving and confidently excelling in high school math ever since and now considers it to be one of her favorite subjects. She really liked the tutors there -- they gave her invaluable tools for how to learn math.
Saeid Mirafzali: Very engaged staff that effectively engage the student. Excellent resource for the community.
Margaret Petersen: Our daughter (now 10) has been attending Mathnasium for a year, 2x/week, and it's been great for her. She enjoys it - I rarely get any pushback to attending - and she has made great progress in math. She feels much more confident about her math skills, her understanding and comprehension of math has greatly improved, and she enjoys the subject much more in school. We plan to continue with Mathnasium into the future.
Luzette Habib: Math went from being my child's worst subject to her best subject. The mathnasium method works! But you do have to be in the program for several months, at least six months, to see results, as the owners will tell you. They are able to effectively teach concepts that somehow do not come across well in a regular classroom. Special kudos go out to Rachel, one of the more experienced tutors. My child started school this year already knowing many if not most of the math concepts at her grade level. Thanks to all the tutors and staff at Mathnasium Ann Arbor!
Susie Guest: My kids have loved their first experiences with Mathnasium this summer. The instructors have been engaging, they are excited to go every time and ask when they can go back again. Grace was very helpful and accommodating to our schedule needs as well. Thank you for a great experience!
Kathy Gaines: My daughter made great progress in a short time at the Mathnasium on Packard in Ann Arbor. She does well in math, and we wanted to keep her momentum going over the summer. She accomplished a lot of skills at and above her age level in only 12 weeks. The tutors were patient, and there is always time for a game at the end (educational games, but still fun!). They use incentives to help the kids stay motivated to complete worksheets. We would recommend Mathnasium to anyone needing extra help in math, or those who would like enrichment to get ahead.
Wendy Sue: My daughter has been going here since Last October and we really like the environment; Better yet, she really enjoys it and has asked on several occasions to stay longer than the typical hour which we set aside. Vera is awesome and so is the staff. The report with their students is very good and the interaction fantastic.
miriam connolly: As a parent, I wish I'd seen an honest review before signing up for this program. 1st, the owners are kind and friendly. The program seemed great as it touted teaching Math in a fun and interesting way to children who struggle in the subject. Turns out $600.00 later, our 6th grader spent the entire summer doing ditto worksheets and receiving very little actual tutoring. She brought it to our attention that she was learning nothing new. Despite an assessment at the onset of the program, she had been allowed to select from a binder any Math she wanted to do each week. She of course continued to select Math she knew. What kid who did not like Math wouldn't? When I brought it to the owner's attention, they said, "why didn't you tell us?" I'm not the tutor and had trusted in their process. The solution was to shift to more copy worksheets without the promised, concrete, "fun", instruction. About 4 students sit at a table surrounding 1 tutor who is sometimes disinterested as the children do their ditto sheets. There was very little tutoring and all of the children were well behaved while doing their dittos. At the end of the program, and after several weeks of driving across town and lots of cash, our daughter had not learned anything new at all and did not enjoy Math any more than before. She did not mind going and liked the owners and the young instructors. She, like us, had wanted to engage in the program to improve her Math skills. The bottom line is parents would better benefit from plopping your child down at home with ditto sheets. Other parents in the program echoed my concerns when I spoke with them. Some had been going for a year paying high monthly fees with little to no change. The reviews I'd read were all positive as was our initial assessment and meeting with the owners. Although I wrote a review last summer in Yelp and on another site, both were deleted, which makes me suspect of this program in terms of overall honesty with the public.

Kumon Math and Reading Center of ANN ARBOR - SOUTHEAST: what do users think?
Andreea Versescu-Ramos: Positive:Quality,Value
Andra Lazaro: Mrs. Renuka and her staff are the best in town. They have demonstrated great communication and they’re very professional. The center is reasonably priced, too. My daughters attended the center for over 5 years (until we moved out of state) and all through the pandemic. They loved going to the center/virtual classes. I’d recommend the center to anyone who’s looking for Kumon tutoring.
Jothimani Ashokkumar: Best Kumon Center!!!We have moved 3 times in the last 10 yrs and been to 3 different Kumon centers in different states. I would rate this Kumon Center is the best because of the center head (Renuka) who is very friendly, helpful and give each child personal attention to reach their goals. Students are able to learn concepts in math and reading ahead of time, so that when they are introduced to those concepts at school, the students have an easier time understanding them.Truly the best center and highly recommend!!!
Ashokkumar Ganesan: The instructors and staff are noble, intelligent, generous, gracious, enthusiastic, reliable, and supportive!!!Renuka (head of this center) over there actually care about each and every individual.I recommend this center to anyone considering Kumon.
DouDou: My kid learns alot. I wish I could give a five star but they start your child with things such as, 2+5 or 7+1 no matter what age they are.

lianna iacob: Good method but the people who run this place are so rude! I watched the kid i Nanny for look for a mistake for a half hour that did not exist!! I checked it three times myself. Just one of many examples of some seriously messed up stuff.
Dhruvesh Patel: I really like the Kumon way of getting parents involved with day-to-day assignments. I really appreciate the way instructors at Kumon helps in tracking and adjusting the learning pace. My son likes to chat a lot with instructor and do not want to miss center days.

Ravita: This Kumon center is a great learning center for students who want to academically advance or who are having trouble at school. The instructor, Ms. Victoria is a great director and focuses on each student. She looks after each student as if they are the only ones there. The staff is also superb. I recommend this center to everyone.
Julie Lee: Clean and organized learning environment. The owner, Victoria, is a great communicator with excellent business ethic. Highly recommended!
Ony Akabogu: Kumon of Ann Arbor West is the best tutoring place in town....Period! I know this because I have tried other tutoring services. I know that I have hit a "jackpot" when my kids are always looking forward to go to Kumon on Mondays and Thursdays. My three active kids attend this Kumon center, they are all studying Reading and Math, doing spectacular and performing above their grade level. I give all the credit to the instructor, Victoria, who is always eager to make sure kids understand each pack they are doing no matter how active they are in the classroom. She believes that all kids have a high potential and she works very hard to bring out the greatness in them. She is always ready to give parents a detailed update of their kids progress whenever they need it. She is very flexible in accommodating parents needs. Victoria, does a great job with the kids and that is why Kumon of Ann Arbor West will continue to be the number one. Great Job Victoria! keep it up!
brant zhang: Personally think it is the best Kumon in Ann Arbor.
Lisa Bedbak: My son started Kumon when he was just 5 and he loved it. Now he looks forward to doing his Kumon homework and going for classes. He is doing really well. All thanks to Maureen and her team. Maureen has always accommodated my requests, be it vacation requests, number of pages, timings etc. The teachers are always there to listen and help you out. I have toddler at home and I know when he starts reading, he will be in Kumon too:).Best,--Lisa
