Trinity Health IHA Medical Group, Neurology - Ann Arbor Campus: what do users think?
Laura Eidietis: In general, I have had very little good to say about the administration of IHA (not Trinity Health). I've been working with them for 14 years and, honestly, I think the admin is not patient focused at all. So, if you are reading the reviews and see stuff about admin problems, probably it is true. There are some administrative staff who are very kind and helpful and some who seem under-trained and not very empathetic. This is not a small-town, doctor's office. That being said, their patient volume is very high and I'm glad they exist. As for practitioners, I've been seeing Dr. Kraft for migraines. She is empathetic and smart about medications and options, as well as how insurance works. The "how insurance works" is critical, because migraine medications are very expensive and insurance does not like to cover them. The experience has been smooth and life changing. Dr. Kraft has been very responsive via email, which is helpful, since it takes weeks to get an appointment.
Hilary Brown: If I could give Dr. Maideniuc a 0 star I would. She puts on a caring front at your first appointment then passes you off to her Nursing staff. I tried to schedule a follow-up appointment regarding my still undiagnosed symptoms of constant dizziness and headache and was told I could see her NP instead but it would be another month out before I could. She changed my meds so many different times in 3 months without even speaking to me herself directly, instead she communicated with me through her nursing staff and sometimes it would take a day or two before I had my questions answered regarding the medication side effects I was experiencing. Mind you these were heart attack symptoms. Then when the staff would call me back, they had no idea what was going on because there were never any proper notations put in my chart. I am so incredibly disappointed with this entire office. I called to switch to a different neurologist in the same office thinking maybe I could get some sort of proper treatment, instead they told me to go somewhere else. This is a perfect example of how doctors only care about the bottom line and if the insurance has paid for the visit.
Heather Kozlowska: Thank you for canceling my referral and then not bothering to call me. That’s a great way to treat a patient suffering from a TBI. Great practice.
Colleen Greer: Dr.Jason Schwartz has helped me so much. He is friendly and always takes the times to answer all my questions. He even helped me out when my primary would not address my hair loss and ordered a blood test because HE LISTENED TO MY CONCERNS !!! I would DEFINITELY recommend him and Dr. Aleoxiou. The best 2 Neurologist who helped me with consistent migraines since 2014. 😀😊❤
Ash1ove: IHA Neurology has made major improvements to guarantee customer satisfaction. The office staff is wonderful, there are more availabilities with scheduling and it doesn't take too long to recieve transfer of cares to other neurologists in the office. Of course (being a speciality office) some things take time and most likely there will be some wait time due to the quantity of patients and the lack of neurology offices in the area. Understanding is key and everyone here works their hardest to give you the best medical care possible.
Scott: I had an appointment with Dr. Alexiou. I thought i'd try getting a second opinion on my issues. Never before have I had a doctor make me feel like I was wasting his time. He actually said to me "if you’re already established at Henry Ford, why are you coming to see me"? He didn't do a damn thing for me. And dismissed a majority of my concerns. I walked out of there feeling like I just wasted a $50 co pay. And drove 30 miles for nothing! I don't recommend this place at all!
Aimee N: I’ve been to IHA Neurology in the past and it wasn’t the best experience (i.e. I was so upset I didn’t bother leaving a review because the current two-stars spoke for themselves...) BUT it seems the office has really made sure their staff was either retrained or replaced.Reception was incredibly friendly and when I wanted to switch doctors within the office, yes I had to wait a little bit (the office manager needs to authorize any changes), they switched me to Dr. Kraft with pretty much no problem or extra hassle (beyond the short wait). Now, Dr. Kraft is an amazing doctor. She’s very thorough and very kind. She listens and while I have a plethora of vague issues that kind of overlap with other specialists, she is willing to rule things out and does very thorough lab work. I’m honestly so impressed that although my previous experience with IHA Neurology was so negative I would have easily dropped a One-Star review, my visit today blew me away. You can tell they’ve been working to improve their customer service etiquette and all of the folks I interacted with- from setting the appointment to getting all of the pertinent information at the end- were very pleasant. Well done! I don’t leave reviews often, but I think the work IHA has been doing warrants some recognition.
Janet Howard: Original appt was scheduled fairly quickly BUT when you get there 15 min early (as instructed) and after an additiinal 40 min wait beyond the appt time still no Dr., so you have to reschedule and its going to be a month?!? No thanks, waiting for a referral to a UofM neurologist.
Sonya Chrysler: First off I would like to say how rude the receptionist was on the phone, I have been a patient here for 3 years! I called I to switch Neurologist because the doctor I'd been seeing just wasn't helping! I was still having 10-15 migraine days a month. I have tried 15 different migraine preventives/migraine medications over the last 3 years! (Not to mention the side effects from these medications are awful) When I called to see if I could meet with a different doctor there, she proceeded to tell me I was not aloud to switch doctors and would need approval! At this point I am misrable and just want help- I called my primary to get a referral for UofM Neurology department, which typically takes months! I got the sweetest receptionist who scheduled my appointment and called me back a few days later to let me know there was a cancelation and squeezed me in sooner. I met with the doctor, he listened and wanted to try something new! Since that day I have not had a migraine! two weeks later the receptionist for IHA called to tell me my transfer had been accepted. It's ridiculous it took two weeks for them to get back to me when all I was asking for was to see another doctor in that office! I have never left a review for anything but after this experience I had enough! I want people to know there are options out there and you can get relief from migraines.
Jenna Hirschman: I've been a patient for two years. The office staff have been exceptionally helpful with paperwork and scheduling. I rarely wait before appointments. I see Dr. Kraft and she is very patient and understanding.
josh lingenfelter: Dr was laughing when I was expressing what I think was wrong.
Barbara Davis: They were very helpful. Didn’t know exactly what was going on. Finally got it figured out. Everyone was very nice.
TL Chase: This place is a joke, my wife sees Dr. Kraft. They believe she had a stroke but haven't been able to confirm do to her have a pacemaker. My wife had another episode Tuesday at work and we tried to get in but had to see the Nurse Practioner, this guy has no bed side Manors and is a blemishe on the practice. He questioned and belittled the prescribed medication and testing of Dr. Kraft then he (the NURSE PRACTIONER) came to the conclusion that there was nothing neurological going on and she should see her cardiologist. The first thing after ER visit when symptoms first started was to the cardiologist and when he cleared her it was on to neurology. I would not recommend IHA to anyone I will get her into my neurologist at Henry Ford.
P. Man: Saw Dr Alexia (or I think that's it). Originally went for concerns of symptoms for MRI of the brain. Findings show two cysts (one in temporal lobe, and one in pineal region). On return visit he told me it was impossible for these cranial cysts to cause symptoms, then told me not to come back. Go somewhere else if you need actual help.
Amy Watkins: My husband was admitted to St. Joe's with stroke like symptoms in May with added vertigo and facial numbness. The doctors kept him for 6 days saying it was atypical and kept ordering MRIs that continued to show no evidence of anything. After they released him, they said they wouldn't see him again until he went to neuro-ophthalmology. The referral code they sent to neuro-ophthalmology didn't warrant an appointment for 3 months, and when I called to ask for help, Jason, the Nurse Practitioner, got really combative and argued petty details rather than expressing any actual concern about helping my husband find a course of treatment to help him regain his life. Finally, he recommended we go to U of M ER to get help. Seriously.
Kim H: The office staff is very unhelpful! It is almost impossible to get an appointment in a timely manner. I called to get a sooner appointment because my PCP wanted me seen due to the frequency of my new onset seizures with no avail, then the office manager of my PCP called with the same results, and finally my actual PCP had to call and speak to my neurologist one on one to get me on the schedule because the office staff kept pushing me off. The Dr herself was great. But getting in to see her was almost impossible. Now I'm having the same battle with my one month follow up of her changing my medication. I'm honestly just going to start looking for a new neurologist, the communication in this office is terrible, and they have no concern for the patient.
Harvey Bauss: Poor , won't let you change Doctor even if you are not satisfied with current Doctor This is crap. No such thing as second opinion.

Gerald Hix: Worst place I Have dealt with for my wife’s stroke
Payton B: Everyone was very professional and caring. They listened to what I had to say and did not belittle any of my symptoms or my past history with migraines. I truly believe the staff would like to see all patients succeed in the treatment program, and I would not hesitate to come back for a 'tune-up' if necessary in the future.

Madeleine Baier: My daughter has been a patient of his for many years, and both of us are very satisfied with the quality of care that he has consistently provided. Adrian Goldsmith: He went well out of his way to extend my visit and share details with me about what he thought was going on and my options for treatment.. Literally the best experience with a physician I have ever had.. if I could rate him 6 stars "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐" I would.

DR. GIREESH VELUGUBANTI MD: what do users think?
Jax Krupp: He was very sincere when it came to the concern of my health, he made sure he walked me step by step in educating me of my diagnosis as well as what kind of treatment was offered so I could begin the healing process. All his staff were very kind and welcoming! I would highly recommend him and his passion for health care is genuine. 😊
Elle, the Foodie: This office has the WORST staff you’ll ever come in contact with. The front desk is nasty and rude and will hang up on you. Plus the doctor is fraud and will most likely up charge your insurance. I would not recommend.
Shila Martnick: Dr.Velugubanti is the absolute best neurologist I've seen. He is kind and caring. He goes the extra mile for his patients. He is very intelligent and gets to the root of the problem. I will see no other doctor again. He is very friendly and his staff is as well. I had a great experience and would recommend him strongly
Charissee Knight: This Doctor is a FRAUD. Google him. He was charged with embezzlement and writing himself prescriptions. He charged my insurance company 1200 for a pillow!!! That he GAVE me. This has got to be a joke. NoWAY you got this high rating cause you're the"best." I don't even think he's out of jail. Does he even have his license back?? Don't believe...GOOGLE IT
Tapan Raut: Dr. Velugubanti is one of the best Neurologists. He is extremely caring and Knowledgeable. He patiently spends plenty of time to see his patients and answer their questions. I would highly recommend him.
Jen Graczyk: He is the best neurologist! Takes his time with his patients and explains everything in detail. Very friendly and does not make you feel afraid to ask a question.
JANIRA: Super thorough and optimistic with his patients. Great environment and aesthetically pleasing office area. Natural supplements are offered to ensure that patients are getting the best results possible.
Sophia Kay: Dr. V is an exceptional Physician. However, the office staff and management are HORRIBLE to deal with. The wrong test was ordered for my daughter, and now we are responsible for a bill over $10k. Dr V. committed to assisting with this issue for us 6 months ago. Everyone has dropped the ball. Now the office doesn’t answer the phone, or return calls. This is a CRIME!
Lisa C. Still: Gireesh is an amazing doctor
PLANT in the DIRT: Dr. Velugubanti is the best doctor that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing as a patient. His care and treatment are beyond measurable, but since 5 is the highest I give him 5+. He noticed and treated me for ailments that several other doctors missed in their diagnosis. He recommends natural supplements which is a great change from being over medicated by some other doctors. He is thorough, patient, kind and he knows his field extremely well. I have seen several neurologists in the past and Dr. V is who I prefer over the others. His staff is great and just as thorough as he is. I would recommend him to ALL of my family and friends. The wait time is minimal which helps a lot when you are in pain.
Account Administrator: Now this is what you call a REAL doctor! Really knows his stuff and is a expert and pioneer in his field. Need I say more?
Owls Owlz: The doctors here at this office are awesome the nursing staff I can't say any more than they are awesome with children there their office is just the place for children that has pans or pandas or any kind of head injuries this is the place you need to go... Did I get forget to say this is also for adults as well!!When you go to this place them doctors take very good A Plus care of you!!
Toya Hankins: Dr Velugubanti is a very compassionate and attentive doctor who approaches caring for his patients from a position of healing and not just putting a bandaid on your issue. He is consistently thorough and probably one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. Thank you for genuinely caring for your patients, Dr V!
Lisa Klick: After seeing Dr. Kutcher at U of M Neurosport, we were at our wits end. My daughter was struck in the head with the boom from a sailboat during 30 mile an hour winds. Ater a lot of drugs with nothing working, Kutcher turned us over to the psych doctors. Luckily we found Dr. V through a pain specialist (Dr. Nabity). Dr. V is the ONLY ONE that really explained to us what my daughter was going through. He has helped her so much! She stopped getting better at one point, he kept saying there is inflammation somewhere...he finally found it-Lyme disease. She contracted it about 3-4 years into her injury. We are now trying to get that taken care of to see what else can be done with her brain trauma. Great job Dr. V!!!
Charles Westlake: Very Caring nice personality most Doctors could learn a lot from Dr V about how to treat a patient!
Paul Kozicki: Dr. Velugubanti is a very personable doctor. He is a doctor who WILL actually listen to you and resolve your problems. My wife and I have been seeing him for several years now. When I describe Dr. V. to my friends and relatives, I explain that he is like "Dr. House" on TV. He is a doctor who is very persistent and interested in resolving your health issues. We would give him a 10 star rating if we could.
