ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Ann Arbor): what do users think?
Raiya Goodwell: Great place. Great customer service. Treats employees well.
Lauren Hildebrandt: I enjoy working with the Optalis Ann Arbor team every day! There are many wonderful people here who truly care about our residents.
Rachel Lange: Great team to work for!
Chelsey Delmotte: Great place!
Sarah Santure: Fantastic staff with big hearts.
Esther Durnwald: My 96 year old mother was at this facility for 3 weeks. The care staff did a solid job, despite being very overworked and the therapists did exceptional work. However, we were ignored by those making the decisions on care level and need to continue care for mom. Perhaps understaffed too? The decision to continue care was not in mom's best interest. I was very frustrated that we weren't a part of that conversation and this is why I'm only giving this facility 1 star. We would not choose or recommend this facility.
Joseph Harburg: My mother was transferred here after being in the hospital with stage 4 cancer. I was present for the transfer and while they were putting my mom in the room the nurse yelled at another patient. My mom begged us to remove her from there and take her home because they did not have enough staff to service her and they did not treat her well. She had to wait 1 hour to use the restroom and the night service techs refused to give treatments the doctors ordered because the orders were "given to the day staff". Needless to say we got my mom out of there asap. Do not recommend.
R H: All I'm saying is watch and pay attention.
Aleesha Rose: I would not bring my loved ones here ever. This place should be shut down or everyone needs to be replaced and trained appropriately.
Karen LeGassick: My father was there for a little over a week in the spring of 2022. The staff were at times hard to get ahold of. He ended up going to the ER with an internal bleed. No one stayed with him or provided any information to the ER, I had to call to get information from the ER several times. When I later asked for his reports from the social worker for OT, PT, speech, they were never provided. Not a good experience, zero stars, but the review makes you give at least one.
Mark Kenney: My brother, who is a disabled veteran, was admitted to this facility for 2 weeks of physical therapy. From the time he was admitted to the time he was released I have nothing but great things to say. Being my brother's power of attorney and living in Florida it was necessary to reach out daily to learn of his progress.Never once did I have a problem reaching his nurse nor Claire, the social worker and speaking with them about my brother.I did have some issues reaching him the first weekend he was there so I called the nurse's station. She took it upon herself to walk to his room to find out why he wasn't getting calls. She called me from his room and said that she found the phone under the mattress in the bed next to my brother with the volume turned down, problem resolved.Another day his tv wasn't working, within 2 hours his tv was fixed by maintenance. His PT and OT were great and it's all he would talk about when I spoke with him.Upon his release Claire took care of all the details for his discharge including setting the appointments for follow-up with his PC and the out patient physical therapy he is getting now. After reading some of the negative reviews before he was admitted, I was a little apprehensive about him staying there. But with my personal experience and hearing from my brother about the services he received, I can honestly say that this was the right place for his stay.I'm totally impressed with this facility and will recommend to others in need of this type of facility.
Margaret Sciberras: I had a great experience at Promedica Ann Arbor. All employees went above and beyond for the patience, they all really work as a team and that makes all the difference in the world. And believe it or not the food was really good, chef Mohammed was very accommodating to all of my dietary needs. The team was encouraging! I loved recreational activities! I loved bingo, group meditation and all of the puzzles and games! Rehab was very encouraging and lovely!
Megan Culver: Therapy has been so helpful for my mom. The therapists are all very patient and kind.
Erin Diviney: Hi my name is Dr. Diviney. I am the medical director for ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation-Ann Arbor. My favorite part of my job is helping our patients and their families identify and reach for their goals. There is nothing more inspiring then seeing patients work hard and regain their independence. Additionally, I am proud to work with our employees. They show their dedication not only through performing their daily tasks but by continually working to develop themselves professionally.
Ann K: Go anywhere else but here. My mother-in-law has been in the facility for ten days now and has not been given a shower. I checked her plan--two showers a week--and she has not been given one. In fact, the nurse marked in her chart that she refused the shower. No, it's a lie. Her dressing is supposed to be changed twice a day--she's lucky to have it changed once. Every time I call, the phone just rings, so I went in person to talk to a nurse. I was told she would get a shower and get her dressing changed--NOPE. I have never seen such negligence at a medical facility. It seems that paying $11,000 a month, she should get a shower. The only recourse I see now is contacting an attorney for negligence. And FYI ProMedica, I already DID call the help line THREE DAYS AGO, left an extensive message WITH NO RESPONSE FROM YOU.
Stella McHabe: IF YOU READ ONE REVIEW, READ THIS ONE: We had been told by three different employees that my dad had been accepted, our social worker and a hospice nurse were planning on meeting us at 2pm for intake. Then, we received a call from a very rude woman (an employee of Promedica Heartland) saying that we were not allowed to ask any questions about vaccination status and that they would need to review our case. No politics, we just inquired if staff were vaccinated since my dad is incredibly immunocompromised and recovering from a fall that landed him in the ER. Then, an hour later, we were informed that he had been rejected. After already being accepted? We had all of his stuff in the car ready to go, spent the night before crying together because of how hard the decision had been to move him. Both my mom and I called the office multiple times that morning pleading that we be told what was going on. My dad had become a huge fall risk (falling recently and cutting his head open). My mom is unable to continue his care due to her own injuries. We needed help and had been promised help by this place. Finally, our social worker informed us that staff told him Promedica Heartland “did not have the resources to care for my dad at this time.” Neither my mom nor I heard anything back from the messages we left. First of all, under Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, it is prohibited for Medicare/Medicaid approved nursing homes from discriminating against a person because they are handicapped. Secondly, my dad was the Founding Chair of the Family Medicine Department at a major university, taught medical students at that university until he was 93, was a brilliant doctor, is a WWII vet, paved the way for medicaid (meeting three presidents in the process), and was an amazing father. His status in society should not matter, but after all he did for medicine and our world, he is repaid like this: being treated like trash by the medical community. If they truly do not have the resources right now, then they should have never offered us a bed in the first place. If they told us that was the reason but actually did not want to deal with us asking genuine questions, then they have denied a patient care based on a family member’s concern for health and safety. This is not a job application, this is medical care. They are paid to help people, not hold opinions. If someone who gave their life to medicine is being left to die with no help from facilities who boast they care, imagine how they would treat your family member. DO NOT trust in Promedica Heartland. The pain they have put my family through has been immeasurable. I would not wish it upon anyone. This is unacceptable.
Daniel Matwiejczyk: I have had two stays at Heartland. The first was in 2017 and the latest in 2021. The aids, therapists, nurses are excellent and are compassionate people giving first class care. Their home care staff is also great.I was really worried about going to.a health care facility during the Covid pandemic, but all their extraordinary precautions quickly put me at ease. It was even more thorough than the hospital. My wife and I were there at the same time and the staff kept me updated on her progress. This put my worries to rest. While we were there we both received the first Covid vaccination. A month later Heartland arranged for us to return to receive our second shot.I am grateful for the health care that we received there. They went above and beyond the care that I expected.
Julie Craft: While working in Ann Arbor at an Assisted Living, I had the opportunity to work with The Heartland Ann Arbor Health Care Center quite frequently. They always did a thorough job when admitting or discharging their residents, and the families from the assisted living would compliment the care that was given during their Rehab stay. Working hand in hand was so easy.
Shelbie Holder: I wouldn’t even rate Heartland a 1 but I had to in order to leave a comment . Heartland Ann Arbor DOES NOT take care of their residents. They failed my grandma !! They did not take care of her, she fell 7 times in one week.... had a UTI infection they would not take care of because she didn’t have “three symptoms” ..... the infection went untreated and she went septic ..... THEY FAILED HER! And now she’s not with us anymore ..... My family called the state on them . Actions are being taken. My grandma may be gone , but Justice for my grandma IS NOT OVER!!
Christopher Juillet: The team at Heartland Health Care Center in Ann Arbor provides first rate customer service and care to their residents. Their clinical skills enable them to serve patients with complex medical conditions, including stroke and heart attack survivors, as well as those rehabilitating from knee and hip surgeries. They’re also completely on top of Covid-19 protocols, doing their absolute best to provide a safe care setting. I recommend them highly and without reservation.
Jordan Stirling: We are grateful to have Heartland as a trusted referral for our Comfort Keepers clients and families. Heartland continues to provide high quality service and has the clinical capabilities to care for all, including those with more complex medical needs. They have been an excellent partnership for our home care agency both during the pandemic and always.- Comfort Keepers of Ann Arbor

Regency At Bluffs Park: what do users think?
Siani Nuñez: This place is horrible. They forgot to give my Dad insulin that he needed and he almost died and had to be readmitted to the hospital after having a stroke! They told my mother that they would hold my dad's room for 48hrs they lied and packed up some of her and my dad's belongings and STOLE the rest. While my dad was there my mom would pray and listen to music and one of their ignorant nurses told her she couldn't listen to the music because it offended her because she doesn't believe in God! This place is absolutely DEPLORABLE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CALLED ROUGH BLUFFS PARK
d p: My mother was taken there after surgery at U of M. She was admitted at 2pm. I sat w her until 430. 1 nurse showed up and went over paperwork. He was Never seen again until a food tray showed up at 6pm. She has bladder issues and wear pads. The surgery she had was on her leg up to her groin. She needs to be kept DRY at all times. I called to check on her and NO ONE HAD CHECKED ON HER OR CHANGED HER. She had her call light on for 1 hour. I live an hour away. I got in my car and drove there immediately. When I arrived a single young man was finally changing her. He clearly needed help. I informed the night nurse we were LEAVING. She was very nice and just started her shift. Called another nurse in to help, but I was still taking my mom home. What about all the patients that do not have people to check on them? The one nurse called the manager at home and she asked to speak w me, asking me to let her stay one night! Why? So you can collect your payment!!! Are you kidding me? I will pay a nurse to come into my house to take care of her. I will also be calling to state on them and informing U Of M to not use them, as they clearly NEGLECT THEIR PATIENTS and do not have enough staff to properly care for people.Just writing this make me sick to my stomach!
S S: Even it is far away from my home but I like it, my mom 92 years old with critical and hard personality got an arm fracture but the staff there so great, experienced with friendly nice attitude. I know the furniture kind an old and need to update but I really appreciate Nurses, Melissa, Melania, Duha, Bre, and nutrition specialist Cindy they are such a supportive and sweet lovely team
Dr Joe: Terrible place. AVOID at all costs. Dirty. Rude staff members. The food service is dismal.
Sylvia: Friendly staff! Very gentle and loving, saw nothing but kindness and patience from them to my mom.
Diana Crossley: Our friend was at this facility for 6 weeks and had the WORST care possible. His bedsore became infected because he was waiting 3 HOURS for someone to respond to his call button to change his diaper. Our friend complained about the food from the start and we thought it would be his biggest problem, however, the substandard care was much worse than we thought. Do not leave your loved one here.
Angela Kane: The center itself is run down. Water damages in my room. The food was none beyond subpar with running out of menu items, not having menu items or shipping issues. The Therapist (PT and OT ) were great. Just wished they had more diversity in equipment and ability to work one on one instead of 3 to 1 sometimes. The Activities were sparse. I would have like to see outside activities, planting, bird feeders. and flower planting. Even the occasional pizza night ( with real pizza and pop) or microwave popcorn and movies. Truly the shining STARS of the place are the staff. The Nurses, CNAs, , Doctors , cleaners, etc will bend over backwards for each and every resident. They washed my hair replaced my meals until I was okay, got me endless waters, got clean towels, got all shower necessities because I didn't have any, laundered my clothes from home (no charge), transportation to doctors and more. Thank you for all the little things you do that mean the most!
Diane Bridgeman: I stayed at Regency At Bluffs Park for 3 weeks the first night was kind of ruff because I was new. But after that it was a breeze Chauntel Monalisa Bret Lauren &Cindy were EXCELLENT PEOPLE you can tell they were compassionate about their job. the cook Ray was wonderful they made my first time staying in a nursing home a wonderful experience they were friendly and caring always and attended to my needs while I was there. Outside of rehabilitation I will be visiting them. Their facility may be small but it is clean and is a safe environment for anyone who chooses them love you guys THANKS FOR EVERYTHING.
Kristal Gardette: My mom was literally just admitted yesterday during the day. The staff was very nice and attentive to her needs. The evening CNA was great and took great care of my mom. The night staff, not even close…. My mom was sick, and the CNA said “I will get to it when I have time”. When my mom told her she was being too rough , she said “you want to get cleaned don’t you?” I’m sorry, what?!?! My father ended up coming through the night at 3am because my mom needed help, and when he got there the lady was sitting at a desk! Are you serious?!? Absolutely terrible!! I’m sure if it was their loved one, they wouldn’t be sitting in their own disgusting mess.
Pier McClinton: Lovely facility. Very friendly staff, very clean and smells great.
55937: The staff works hard so much of the time. Very nice people and clean place. At night it can take a long time for call bell to be answered. Might be understaffed as most places are these days. Please treat staff well.
Cindy Horn: My husband was admitted last Thursday. And i tried calling on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday his phone was not working. I was there on Monday to discuss the issue. And they said maintenance was Still there and would fix the issue. And it still isn't working. He was wet when i got there. He pushed the button for someone to come . i finally got the wet diaper off. And then i started to get a new one on. The Social worker showed up and she went and got a nurse.
Brianne Russell: I recently visited a friend staying here and it was absolutely filthy, like dried blood on the floor and toilet. It had been there for days. Gross
Pat Jbb: I have been a resident here for six months & the only thing that is worth staying here is the therapy , physical & occupational! They are fantastic! And there are many great people in the staff but management is terrible! Not only is the food not up to what it should be....I’ve had meals of a dry baloney sandwich with no condiments even available in the kitchen! The beds are totally uncomfortable & today I couldn’t get a shower because there were no clean towels! I know staffing issues are a problem everywhere but this goes beyond that!
Natalie Forshee: My grandmother spent a lot of time at Regency for post-hospital rehabilitation. The first few stays were decent and she seemed well cared for. However, she had a recent stay in which the food staff and aides had a hard time getting her meals correct. She recently had a stroke and was on a strict type of diet. The staff consistently got her meals wrong, and she ended up in the hospital with aspiration pneumonia. This issue was brought to staff's attention on numerous occasions. We were very disappointed with the level of care she was provided.
Karen Krot: The nurses and aides are extremely short staffed if you don’t need much care you will be ok not enough physical and occupational therapy only 1/2 a day and often not on weekends. Last 2 days no heat. Freezing I guess they ran out of diesel fuel the other day they said they needed a part This is unacceptable when you have elderly, ill patients whoever runs this place needs to be held accountable
Sue Thompson: My mother was there this winter. When I picked her up she was hanging out of her bed. There was dirty diapers, masks ,gloves and other trash on the floor. She was half dressed. The nurse at the station was on a private call while the lights and buzzers were going crazy. The male nurse just kept complaining that he had 18 patients by himself. He lifted my mom in the car without assistance or a gate belt. He crack her rib.Staff is difficult to reach .
Kathie Kolean: My mother came home with open bed sores from improper care. Highly disappointed
Wanda Blanchard: My friend is currently at this He’ll Hole!! Her medication is constantly delayed!! Over an hour late several times a day. Her food is cold and has zero flavor!! I’m very worried about her
Lisa Ayers-Williams: I had a lovely stay at this Regency (at Bluffs Park). I was a patient there for five weeks and felt as though I was a priority the entire time. This facility is very clean and comfortably cozy while accommodating a myriad of illnesses and injuries.I cannot say enough about all the staff, but especially the Therapy (both Physical and Occupational). They were amazingly knowledgeable about all phases of my recovery and rehabilitation. I came by this facility highly recommended, as will I highly recommend to my family, friends and associates. Kudos!
Basic Joe: Regency has numerous unvaccinated staff and nurses currently employed. These awful people are “caring” for individuals recently discharged from the hospital, the sick, elderly and disabled - the very people we as a community need to protect. Regency opens their arms to the anti-vax crazies because Regency can’t afford to fire anyone as they are already too short staffed to even properly care for residents. The few decent employees I’ve met are run ragged and eventually quit. This is unacceptable.Yet again this foul corporation is endangering my mother with more COVID positive cases so there are lockdowns yet AGAIN putting her into isolation in what are probably the last few months of her life. No visitors because they don’t have a vaccinated staff. Please see my photo.Regency blatantly will admit they do not require their staff to be vaccinated - ask them. They are such garbage employers - no one wants to work for them. However they have no qualms taking over $10,000 per month for their “services” from my mothers insurance. I am so angry at this level of selfishness and greed. I’ve no idea what you’re supposed to do about a place like this. Regency is abusive and terrible. I’ve called. I’ve complained. I’ve even complained to the state. My hands are in the air - seriously - how is a regular person supposed to fight against people who just don’t care. Regency does not care.If you hate your parents/family/spouse - this facility is the perfect setting for your revenge fantasy. They will suffer greatly.Regency Corporate - I hope you choke on a penny. Better yet - I hope in your twilight years you’re bedridden at…Regency at Bluffs Park. Enjoy the bedsores, isolation and COVID.Update - this place is still a cesspool.

University Living in Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Jennifer Ogle: A beautiful, clean place for your loved one to be. The staff is caring and works hard to ensure the residents are taken care of. Housekeeping keeps the building very clean and maintenance takes care of any issues promptly. So happy to have my loved one here.
Brigette: I am very familiar with University of Living in the past and it was one of the better places in Ann Arbor; However, now I Am absolutely disgusted with what I have dealt with! I had a dear friend that was transferred to UL and she was there for 10 days and charged over $15,000!! My dear friend was extensive care which I am very aware that this would be pricey, however we were quoted $7,600.00 a month with her condition and everything that she required along with a moving fee of $3,000.00 At the end of her meeting with everyone she paid over 10,000.00. The care was UNACCEPTABLE with the amount she was paying! The staff was always in and out quickly, they refused to help her with dental hygiene, personal hygiene, and laundry! They took longer than 30 minutes at a time to answer the call light. They always had an excuse that they were short staffed; however, we would continue to see staff on their phones or talking in the halls. While at dinner we experienced seeing cafeteria staff get upset if they had a plate sent back from one of the residents. Personal property would continue to get lost or disappear! This was made aware to TANUM and to the social worker on many different occasions, still there wasn't any change in actions. My friend had an access port in her chest and was receiving a shower from one of their staff members. Before receiving the shower she had expressed multiple times to the staff member that it needed to be tapped before showering. The staff member THOUGHT they could perform the shower without listening and the port was pulled out!! This resulted in my friend being escorted to the hospital!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!! There wasn't any repermandation for this employee!! After being in the hospital for many weeks she asked why no one had called from UL, why no one cared to ask how she was doing, she was not upset at the staff member just disappointed and sad that they did not care to listen to her, and take a few seconds of their time to make sure this didn't happen! This was the last time my friend was able to come back to what she called HOME! She lost her life at the hospital a few weeks later and just wanted a phone call, or a check in! These people DO NOT CARE they are the reason why so many families hate to put their loved one in other people's care, and give assisted living homes a terrible name. We then received a bill of over $15,000.00 after her passing for a total of 10 days she was there, and not a sorry, get well card, or flowers was sent to her funeral!
E L: I buried a friend recently that I cared for 4 years. I gave her my time, care and friendship she gave me her trust. I advised her to relocate closer to her friends and I so that we could better assist her as we were her support group. The place I recommended was one that I believed was one of quality and great care. Instead my friend was greeted with a false sense of dignity. My friend was treated as a number to be routinely serviced with no regard for her small requests in her care regime and as a woman that held a college degree as a retired social worker her requests were within reason. My friend was hospitalized due to an incident that occurred in this establishment, the lack of concern that my friend and I experienced from this establishment and even after her death is sickening. I wish I would have addressed this earlier. No person deserves to be treated as a paycheck in their most desperate time of need. A phone call or a card would have been nice is what my friend told me in her last days.
Susan Morrison: Way too many con’s not enough pro’s.
Markie Gentry: The staff here is extremely polite and works well with the residents. Always going above and beyond to help each other meet the residents needs and wants. The facility has great amenities: a work out room, a spacious area for the residents to take safe outdoor walks, as well as a garden area to relax by and multiple lounge rooms to socialize or have a movie night with friends.Would definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones.
Alvine Ngounou: I've been working at University Living for almost two years now. I've had the most exceptional time with the staff, the residents and their family members. I absolutely love the unity within the staff as well as their collective devotion to the residents and their families. I joined the University Living family while in nursing school and every semester, the DON worked around my school schedule to make it easier for me not to feel any pressure.
Zachary Barnez: Great modern building with exceptional accommodations for all levels of care. Great job and great staff. Would recommend as a job for a nursing student, or anyone interested in senior care.
Jacob Sayraf: UL took great care of my mom, both in the assisted-living quarters, and later in Memory Care. They communicated with us regularly and demonstrated compassion and professionalism. We made a good choice for my mom.
Richard Gross: Great staff and administrators. Highly recommend!
Amy Lesemann: The individual staff are devoted and hard working; w can’t say enough about the new director, Josie, who was formerly the nurse administrator. This is the first survey, for example, that we have seen in the several years we have had my mother in law at University Living. We have had occasional issues in the past, really ending pre COVID, and I must say- Josie seems to have everything well in hand and she got the institution through COVID with a bare minimum of illnesses and deaths. That speaks volumes, right there. Trips are starting up again, with great care and forethought, and that is such a massive undertaking for the assisted living crowd! We appreciate that, as it means a great deal to my mother in law, even if she forgets about it! It does have an impact. I recommend University Living highly.
Carol Michaelides: We have had a family member residing at University Living for 6 years. The facility is well maintained and the staff shows sincere care for the residents. We have been especially impressed by the way University Living has navigated the COVID quarantine. The protocols put in place have kept the residents healthy.
Mike French: 😞 as people we have to do better, that’s what I learned from my work experience at this place.
Brian Hoefle: Conscientious and caring staff starting with the Executive Director.
Kristen Pearless: What a wonderful community. The staff and residents are so warm and friendly. They make difficult conversations easy and you can feel the genuine affection they have for wanting to care for your loved one.I got to sit in on a bingo game with the residents and could not stop giggling. The young lady calling the numbers made it engaging and the residents played right along. Everyone one was having a good time. They even have beautiful birds on display and residents have pets to warm your heart. It gives me comfort knowing this is a safe, happy and engaging community.

Hillside Terrace Senior Living: what do users think?
Cat K: My mom lived here for 16 months with rapidly advancing dementia. I visited her nearly every day and had the opportunity to meet many staff and observe their interactions with my mom. Due to her disease she could become very difficult and the staff was always so kind and patient with her. She would light up when the aides and nurses came into the room! The Hillside motto of their family sharing life with your family is true. I was so grateful for the love and compassion showed to my mom, as well as to me and my family. I was confident that I could be away and know that mom was getting excellent care and attention. That was truly peace of mind for me after having cared for her myself for as long as I could. I am grateful to Hillside for keeping my mom as comfortable as possible at the end of her life. I highly recommend Hillside Terrace for assisted living and memory care.
luquita taylor: It's so. Lovely and nice here. And a lot of things to do to keep The beautiful & Handsome senior citizen comfortable and moving around. And the the housekeeping is very clean they do a good job
Ken Chadwick: Very, very friendly family oriented staff!! My dad absolutely loves living there and I'm always impressed when I visit him!! Thanks!!
Kathrynn Renee: Wish i could give 0 stars.Honestly, this facility isn’t even worth experience. Workers come in for their shifts up to 30 minutes late and face no repercussions. Morning staff is very snobby and clique-ish. Management in nursing office is very rude to staff. Shift leads are also prone to playing favorites. Don’t waste your time with this company
Laura Hirshbein: This is a real community and they take excellent and personal care of the residents.
Seth Warschausky: The staff are very attentive and compassionate. My mother feels very safe and well-cared for. The facilities aren't fancy but compassionate care wins out over glitter. They have done an incredible job of keeping the residents and staff safe through the pandemic. Now everyone is vaccinated!
Annie O’Connor Warner: The staff at Hillside has been wonderful in making a home that mom could relax and enjoy. The services provided have been consistent, professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and generous. The team has helped our family manage mom’s living situation with gentle guidance and care. She has been happy there. We are so glad we chose Hillside Terrace.
Jeannie Gill: Hillside Terrace is by far the best independent living, assisted living, and memory care in all of Washtenaw County. The staff is kind, building is spotless, and the leadership gets it. If you have not taken the time to research, visit, and talk with their team if your loved one is in need of a care, you are missing out. Highly recommend.
Donald Frayer: My husband and I have been residents of Hillside Terrace since early July. Unfortunately we haven't been able to enjoy the amenities of our new home because of the Covid Virus. We have been made very welcome even with these limitations. I want to say from my observation if you are concerned entering an assisted living place fear not. We have experienced warm welcoming for ourselves but another new resident who was anxious. She was treated so special that she has felt the love and caring of her new family. So thankful our son found this facility for our assisted living needs. Ruth Frayer
justin Evans: This place is not a good place to work or for your family to come and live. they can never keep a steadyEmployee and when they do they leave because of bad Upper management or they fire them for no reason. The only reason why they have good ratings is because of the stuff Commenting on this and giving good ratings I highly do not recommend working here or bringing in your loved one. The staff here are lazy and don’t change or take care of residence One of the nurses a year ago was hired with a felony. They have a very bad Pest problem as well it has been reported many of times but never handled If it was up to me this place should be shut down.
Beth Chen: My mom had a lot of changing needs over the time that she lived at Hillside Terrace and I am confident no other residence would have handled them as flexibly and gracefully as the family and staff of Hillside. I am forever grateful to them for their caring, warmth and dedication.
Jillian Faerber: Hillside Terrace is super unique in the sense that it is family owned which in turn makes you feel like you are a part of their family! My grandma fit right in and LOVES all the outings and activities! She wouldn’t have as much socialization if at home and has made some great friends!
Jessica Slocum: The staff at this facility are caring, dedicated and so much fun! Hillside Terrace is family owned and the staff are committed to ensuring that their residents have quality care, in a fun and friendly environment. Definitely a place I would recommend to my loved ones!
Sandy Kunkle: I chose Hillside Terrace because of the staff and they have exceeded my expectations. My husband has been surrounded by caring people.
Kathryn Nabozny: If you want your loved ones treated like they're at home, with love and care, this is the place for them !!! Hillside truly cares about their wellbeing. Family owned and everyone there is considered family!❤
Tim Welbaum: In this world of cutthroat competition, it is essential to do your homework before making a decision on the company you’re about to choose to work for or to enlist services from. In my experience, that research must start with who owns and operates the company, and knowing what kind of person or family they are.Character, selfless service, integrity, commitment, love, compassion, dedication and empathy are all words I utilize to describe the Litz family that operates Hillside Terrace Senior Living. Their passion and perseverance to deliver the best to their residents and staff is beyond reproach, with love and care clearly at the center of all their decisions. In addition to operating Ann Arbor and Plymouth’s premiere Senior Living Communities, this family is dedicated to bettering the world for all of us, by spearheading the fight to End Alzheimer’s disease. I’ve seen first hand the power of their commitment and energy as it inspired others to give back to their communities. They volunteer, they donate to many charitable causes, and Nanya even chairs the Board for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Michigan Great Lakes Chapter. To me, the true test of character is how a family raises their children and the outcome that produces. This family is spot on. Since meeting them a few years ago through a nonprofit we mutually support, they’ve quickly earned my respect for the big hearts they wear out in the open, and for the values they’ve instilled into their offspring. It speaks volumes of them (Nanya and Vic) to see their son Trey follow in their shoes, also dedicating his life to serving our senior community. This is a difficult industry, full of pain, emotion, unfair diseases, long hours and heartache. For any of them, let alone all of them to elect to dedicate themselves to this lifestyle shows exactly what kind of people you’re getting when choosing Hillside Terrace Senior Living for yourself or loved one. Their recipe for success is in treating everyone like they’re family, which is exactly what you get from them, whether resident, staff, friend or colleague - You’ll be Family Before You Know It!!!
