I see some previous comments about things being put back on the shelves or being charged late fees, but I can attest that every time I go in they explain those rules/process to me. Even if its my 5th or 6th time back. The shop is clean, the inventory never fails, the staff is pleasant, and I would recommend this place to anyone! The guy was soooo rude he said to me that your lucky that I didn’t sell your TV’s no your lucky because you would have been giving me my money back or another TV period. First the guy behind the counter blew a big puff of cigarette smoke in my face and then one of their kids threw a ball and hit me in the head. I found something I wanted to buy, it was marked 25¢. I brought it to the counter to purchase it and the guy told me "oh no that's a dollar". I said fine then I don't need it, then he tried selling it to me for 50¢. Nope. Then, one of the men working there asked me why I have "hoe shoes on". I have never been in such a disrespectful store.

He said he is going through all the machines one at a time and fixing any problems. I think you can have your own equipment worked on also; a lot less then the other small engine shops. He said if it don't run right he won't let it sell. Good changes is what I see. Still need better organization but I love to look around to see what's new and make a deal.
Carole Brown: Sizing a ring costs $70 not $20. Just a heads up. They tell you $20 but, after it is done, somehow it cost $20 extra bc I had platinum and then 3 stones "fell" out of the ring when he was sizing it, $10 extra "per stone". So, if it sounds too good to be true, that's bc it is.

max knock: I have been to this coin shop a few times to buy silver and had fine experiences before. I went back again recently to buy a pretty sizeable amount and asked for the price per oz. The owner pete, gave me this whole rant about how he has the "best prices around" and "no one can possibly beat my prices" and on and on and on I let him know that the price he gave me was a dollar more per oz than another quote I had got. First he said I was going to get scammed and then he and some other guy started mocking me and laughing at me?!? "Go buy from him then!" So that's exactly what I did. I would've bought from him because it wasn't a bad price but his pompous attitude and arrogance towards me will make it so I never come back.

They’ll show you anything you ask for, there is no sales pressure, and I felt like I got a great deal for the stamps I bought. They were happy to answer any questions, but left me to search as they were very busy with lots of coin customers and people selling jewelry, and checked in periodically to make sure I didn’t need anything. It’s hard not to stop in every time I’m on Washtenaw (which is daily).

Without question, Ann Arbor Stamps and Coins is the most honest and forthright. Justin Groulx: I pawned an item here and I work out of state and forgot about it, so when I went in I seen they still had it. I ask how much they are selling it for they said it’s not for sale. So I said so I can buy it back, they said oh this was yours I said yeah can I buy it back, and all 3 workers ignored me, I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Matt Parnell: Unimpressed. Clean enough store, friendly staff. But I found the buying experience to be sketchy at best.I found the store via an eBay item that I made an offer on. Made a phone call, and was assured we'd be able to work out an even better cash deal, bypassing eBay fees and shipping costs.After multiple days/rounds of negotiation, I was told the cash price would be exactly identical to that I was initially counter-offered on eBay.I walked away. I was able to buy the same items on eBay for significantly less from a seller with a high reputation. Bummer for that seller - as he/she ended up with far less in their pocket than Garden City Pawn would have had they accepted my cash offer.In the end, the store is entitled to sell for whatever they deem to be best for their business. But this sure didn't feel "right" from a buyer's perspective. I don't think I'll be back.Edit - The store's reply isn't an accurate characterization of what happened either. But I'll gladly revise down to one star. No interest in dealing with you guys going forward.
