I was told very explicitly that the ink does not go as deep as a tattoo, and they will fade almost completely over the course of a year or two. Everything was explained in detail before the start of the treatment so I'd know what to expect. My skin was numbed for about 25 minutes beforehand and it still is uncomfortable- especially my forehead and nose. But the RESULTS!!! It can take up to 6 months to see full benefits but my skin already is unrecognizable. I never dreamed I'd have skin this smooth.
