sahar jalilian: Best grooming place in Ann Arbor. I took my pom to another grooming in AA but after 2nd time I noticed they’re not brushing my puppy through all his fur. Also I don’t know what happened but even parking at their parking space my puppy was terrified. But here, I had a perfect experience. I’m very picky when it comes to my puppy’s grooming, and quality grooming did a great job. They were very kind and professional. I asked for JUST bath and nail trim and they did it great.

Tina Lee: We used to love this place but definitely not anymore. They are unprofessional and unreliable.We were notified via text that Janet could no longer groom anymore. At that time, our entire family was worried for Janet since we’ve known her for years. When she was available again, she did not let us know. She says she called but she did not. I guess she kicked us off the schedule without letting us know. Our dog is hard to groom because she growls at everyone but Janet and she knows that. That’s why we are charged up to $70 sometimes for her groom, while other dogs her size (17 pounds) are $50-55.The only reason why we pay whatever price is asked is because we know our dog is comfortable with Janet. Even though our dog is left locked in the cages for hours, we know she is okay because she is familiar with the place. * they don’t bring dogs in and out. They’re usually in the cage for hours and only groomed for maybe an hour and a half.I understand that she is busy but at the very least, when someone calls you and texts you about an appointment, you reply. Especially when they’ve been going for years. You do not say “ok! Well she better go back to her other groomer. Ok bye!” And shrug it off. She told us her wait is until thanksgiving and I said ok and wanted to call back to schedule. But she said no. Like why would you even tell me that if you’re not going to groom the dog??The service has gone downhill since the business picked up. This used to be a very friendly place for all. Apparently not anymore.

Barnaby Pung: I am completely disgusted with this place and the way we have been treated. We came because of the positive reviews.  Our first experience was fine. A light trim and grooming (nails, wash, brush). We came back a second time and the trim was crooked, but given our first experience we decided to go back.  This time they texted my wife the price  for a full cut had gone up. She clarified that we had not asked for a full cut, just a light trim.  When she arrived, three staff approched the register and began to argue with her about the price.  She paid the increased price and THEN they presented my wife with our GoldenSammy ...with a VERY short cut. We had clearly scheduled a light trim and grooming, same as last time. They then did a full cut and charged for it.  The groomer claimed that my wife asked for "a cut and take half off" which is NOT the case and NOT what was scheduled in advance. This is a double coated mix and should NOT have been cut this way.  They have potentially done permanent damage to our poor pup as there is a significant chance the coat will not grow back correctly.  They made a mistake and refuse to own up or even feel bad. In fact, they charged us more for the full cut we never asked for.  They just keep insisting they are right because "summer gets hot with all that fur and it will grow back anyway" which shows a lack of understanding how a double coat works. Their lack of concern is in fact my biggest concern. We trusted them with our floofy boy and apparently were wrong to do so. Our pup is super depressed, and non playful right after which has never been the case. Will never go back and suggest you avoid them. I am sick over this disregard for our pup.

Hannah achieved giving him a full lion haircut within just a small amount of time and he looks great! He’s a grumpy 2 year old and she still managed to get it done perfectly. I thank her so much cause it’s very hard to find cat groomers that take super sassy cats in and get the job done completely! Well be back in the future!

Their prices are very reasonable and I like that they allow the dogs to run around with each other as they wait for their owners. Adds a nice chance to socialize. :)The one drawback is that the parking lot is a little small with the storefront tucked off the main road, but it's not a big deal. I'll definitely be using the Groom Room for as long as I live in Ann Arbor!

Never will I come back, the staff lied and said they didn’t put cotton in his ears, I had to bring in the cotton to get 1/2 my money back. Terrible staff terrible place. 0 stars.

She is a world class groomer and I highly recommend her! We have only been to Wolfe once but our interactions with the other staff have been very friendly and cordial! It is conveniently located in Dexter and it's only 7-10 mins off the highway, the Zeeb 94 exit. The pricing is a little bit more then the place we came from but so well worth it! They have really good products they used on our dog and he is still soft and smelling good a week later! I definitely recommend Wolfe to anyone that needs to get their dog groomed, we will for sure be going back!!

Amy Grimm: I’ve been coming here since they opened, but pricing was never clear. I would be charged $65 or $70 and it was inconsistent. When I went today I was charged $80. When I asked why, I was told that prices had gone up. I found it frustrating that this information was not communicated ahead of time. So if you want to pay $80 for an 11lb pup then this is your place.While their service and cut were great, pricing seems over the top. I’ve had wonderful cuts in the range of $40-$50 but chose this place because it was a little closer to home.

Alyssa: DON’T GO HERE. We started coming here in 2020 and had great experiences. Although it’s expensive, our dog was well cared for and we felt very comfortable with our experience. We even tipped 20% every time. Our dog is a mini aussie who does not need grooming as frequently and we had been coming every 4-5 months for a bath and very minimal trimming with no issues. Well, I just tried booking an appt (March 2022) for May and was denied an appointment because it will have been longer than 3 months since his last appt (January 2022) and that it is standard policy. As of today, this is not listed anywhere on their website and was never an issue before. This is the first time we’ve heard this and there was no understanding from the business. Very black and white. After speaking with the owner, I was spoken to very rudely and told to take my business elsewhere because my dog can’t come more than 3 months apart. No regard for my schedule or my dogs needs and I’m flabbergasted by the way I’ve been treated after such loyalty for two years. The lack of customer service and care is appalling. I’m just so disappointed because we really did enjoy going here.

Joe Smalley: My first time was a good experience. They cut my dog perfectly. The only issue is it's really expensive. The second time I think they forgot to give her the haircut. Her nails were trimmed, and her paws, eyebrows, ear tips, and her belly, but her back, top of her head, half her legs and ears, and beard look untouched. It's been 1 week after and she already needs another haircut.

Alec Hershman: It’s a shame about this place. They seem pretty talented and friendly, but they have a weak spot when it comes to talking about specific services and price. Tried to take my puppy for a simple wash, just to socialize her a bit and get her used to others touching her. Was told I’d be able to order off their a la carte menu after my initial visit which lists $30 individual services such as a sanitary trim or a de-shed shampoo. Asked about price at the time I made the appointment and called a day ahead to inquire about how much money to prepare for the appointment. Both times I was told they couldn’t answer this. When I showed up, they seemed to be taking for granted that I would purchase at least 3-5 hours of their services. They were cagey about cost even after they took my dog back for services. When I called from the parking lot and pressed them on it, they eventually said the wash would be $180, and cited undisclosed handling fees because my puppy “still seemed kind of nervous” to them…..I get the sense that these folks are genuinely talented artists who don’t yet have the confidence to communicate with customers in a straightforward manner about their prices and their value. I’d recommend this place if and only if you are willing to trust the stylists completely to decide the aesthetic and amount of services they provide to your dog, and to pay whatever they decide to charge you without knowing the price ahead of time. If you want to order specific services and be quoted a transparent price, you will be frustrated shopping here 🤷🏻

Hannah Patterson: The people working here are so kind and thoughtful. They really take good care of the animals. They once let me come in short notice to fix my dogs nails. They were horrible and they did an excellent job. They are really good at styling too! My puppy came out looking awesome! I didn't even recognize him but in a good way. They are on the more expensive side however its worth it. The amount of time, effort, and care put in shows. I will definitely be recommending them. Thank you to the owner for being so awesome!

Carl Arft: EDIT: they did a great job 3 months ago but now don’t return any calls/messages I’ve left over the last two weeks. Not sure if they are closed?We have a 3-year-old border collie mix who was getting pretty shaggy. He had never been to a groomer before and we were a bit nervous because he can be a bit, um, high energy! However, the staff at Wolfe Pet Grooming Studio were so good with him, and he looks AMAZING now! The cut was perfect, not shaved but actually trimmed to a perfect “border collie” look. All of his tangled fur is gone and he smells great! Watching them handle the dogs, you can tell they are professionals who really know what they’re doing. Thank you, and we will be back!!
