FUMCN Co-op Preschool: what do users think?
Magdalena Roddy: A wonderful, intimate setting with hands-on learning, weekly field trips, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Small classroom size (12 students) with three teachers (one main and two supportive, all masters degree). We highly recommend FUMCN Co-op Young Fives program.
Kristin Baker: Amazing teachers, classes, and fellow parents!
Jeff Ringenberg: FUMCN is a great place for our family. The location is perfect, parking is never an issue, the playground is a blast, and the kids go on amazing field trips (e.g. the Big House!). Assisting is lots of fun too :-)
Susan Sowder: I am not only one of the teachers at FUMCN, but have been a FUMCN parent, too. Our goal is to make preschool a warm, welcoming start for every child and to prepare them for the future education. As a parent of two, almost three, college-age kids, I can attest -- FUMCN's play-based, child-centered philosophy works!
Shani Hessenthaler: My family can't say enough great things about FUMCN! We have loved the teachers and the activities that they facilitate each day. The location is great and makes for some fabulous field trips throughout the year. The fact that the preschool is made up of 3 large rooms is great for giving my son a ton of different choices. With having younger children I feel like you can't beat that they offer sibling care for my daughter on days that I assist in the classroom and that it is just around the corner from the preschool. They have a circle driveway that has been amazing for drop off and pickup which is a life saver with younger children. We seriously have loved our years at FUMCN and can't wait for our daughter to attend!
kristin oleksinski: We love FUMCN! My kids have so many fun memories of preschool... my fourth grader still talks about her favorite times! My third child goes there now and loves it. It's a beautiful space to learn and a convenient location with an easy circle drive drop off and pick up right downtown! I've also loved getting to know other parents with kids the same age as mine.
Bridgette Carr: I have two children at FUMCN (one in the preschool and one in the Young 5s program). We have been extremely impressed with both programs. The teachers are excellent and my children love being a part of the FUMCN community. As a parent I have been impressed with all facets of FUMCN. We live closer to (and even have previously attended) other co-ops, however FUMCN is worth the extra drive. It has been a gift to our kids and my family!
Dick Sterken: We love our preschool! Our son who is 13 now went to fUMCN and now we are back with our 3 year old daughter. We love the teachers and their creativity and being involved in the classroom is great fun as well.Kirsten Sterken
Jessica LeVasseur: I love how understanding and responsive of each child's personality the co-op is. At 3, my child was into painting, art, and "writing" mail. At 4, she is all about dramatic play and friends. I encourage her to try the daily activitiy or project, but somedays are head straight for dress up days!

Allen Creek Preschool: what do users think?
Helaine Milliman: I never write reviews, but I have to recommend this school. I have trusted them with both of my children and have been continually delighted with the experience they provide. Want kids who love to learn and are emotionally resilient? Send them here. The programs that they have for parent support, community-building, art, and music are all wonderful. The family consultant program is something you won't find anywhere else. The staff at Allen Creek helped us identify a learning disorder in my son that allowed us to get intervention much earlier than we ever would have on our own. I am forever grateful.
Mike: Allen Creek is a gift to the Ann Arbor community. Both of our children attended for multiple years and had wonderful, rewarding experiences. The teachers and staff are extremely dedicated and offer many years of expertise and knowledge. The school interacts with children in a way that is developmentally appropriate, rather than simply talking to them like little adults (or worse, like big babies). We made many friends at Allen Creek, who we continue to enjoy well after our kids have left. What a great group of people and families!
Cathleen W.: Allen Creek is an amazing school. Teachers are experienced and truly gifted and the school rigorously supports their professional development. The family consultant program is unique and positively changed our lives. My husband and I learned to better understand our children's development, and became more effective, joyful parents. Our children were challenged intellectually and emotionally. They learned the fun of self-reliance and mastery, and that it's worth working for.
Xijin Hiraga: Great school!
Amy McKenna: This is our daughter's second year at Allen Creek, and we are all loving it! I was a little nervous about sending her to preschool because she'd been at home with me since birth, but the teachers at Allen Creek facilitated a thoughtful, caring transition for our whole family. I really appreciate the respect that is given to children and parents, the family oriented atmosphere, and the sensitivities to the changing needs of each child as they learn and grow. I clearly see the positive influence on my daughter's emotional, social, and intellectual development. And it's so comforting to know that if she is going through a struggle, the teachers are right there by her side to help her work it out in a communicative, empathic manner. I highly recommend this school!

The U School: what do users think?
Jake L: The carpet and bathroom are wonderful. The rest is just as good.
Martin Thoburn: Amazing staff and teachers!
Ivan Prokopovich: This school is beyond perfect. Very progressive and innovative! One of its kind!
Molly Hunter: An absolutely amazing school. My 3 year old is eager to go every single day (literally). It is the most chill, welcoming, awesome place. They treat the children with respect and love and it has been an amazingly positive force in our family. A very special school and we are lucky to have them in Ann Arbor!
Katie Robinson: I cannot say enough good things about the U school. I am so grateful for my son to be there. The staff is probably the most genuine, caring, and fun people I have ever met. My son thrives there.

Stone School Cooperative Preschool: what do users think?
Leroy Spiller: Two of my grandchildren were blessed to attend Stone School. The loving and supportive environment they experienced while at Stone School is a special memory for them and for me. When I stop by now to visit Miss Rauchelle, I am always greeted by her happy and exuberant students. It is a highlight of my day!
Bridget Baker-White: My children are well-prepared for Kindergarten, and they couldn't have had more fun in preschool! The experienced teachers really helped my kids love school and learn at the same time. Couldn't be more pleased!
Amanda S.: I have had 2 children at Stone School and we all have loved our experience. Families tend to form a good connection to the classroom and each other. Being a part of the classroom has helped me see my child in a different light. It has also set the standard in my family that parental involvement in education is a natural, important part of the process of going to school. Academics are worked into the curriculum with hands on activities in a play based setting. My children's first experience with school is that learning is fun!
Donna Bentley: What an amazing first school experience for my family. My three boys have enjoyed being part of such a great school. The family atmosphere surrounds the entire program. It was awesome to be involved and have a hands-on approach in my child's first school experience. The classes prepared my kids for kindergarten with having confidence, independence and social skills to move them forward in their education. Highly recommend if you are looking for a co-op. Something has to be said for a teacher staying at the same school for 25 years!

Early Learning Center: what do users think?
Sheena Simonett: When we were first looking for preschools 2 years ago for my son we absolutely loved how ELC made us feel very comfortable and treated us like family. I felt very safe and comfortable to send my son here. The teachers there are so supportive, excellent communicators and really go above and beyond of making sure your child is getting the best care and learning they can get.My daughter is a student there now and has a speech delay, ELC has helped me to find resources to help with this. I was very touched and felt supported.
Kristin Wilson: We absolutely love ELC. My twins have thrived in the environment there. The teachers are incredible... they are creative, patient, and you can tell they are very passionate about helping the preschoolers learn. The play-based philosophy of learning is the best... we have seen our kids grow in fine motor skills, gross motor, social skills, language and functional life skills.
Aubrey M: ELC has been an amazing place for our twin toddlers to learn, grow, and socialize with other kiddos this year. The teachers are incredibly attentive, patient, and creative. Our kids come home with art projects and songs they’ve learned (they’ve even taught us a couple!) and all sorts of stories of things they saw and talked about with their teachers and friends that day. We love that they spend a big chunk of the day playing outside, both on the amazing playground as well as exploring the neighborhood around the school.ELC has taken COVID precautions seriously, giving us peace of mind during these uncertain times. We’re so lucky to have found this very special preschool, and plan on sending our kids there for the next couple years!
Brooke Salamin: Positive:Quality,ValueI attended here 20 years ago for preschool for myself. I recently enrolled my daughter and I was concerned about separation anxiety because she had never been away from family before. She had no issues transitioning to preschool and she adores it. Everyday she asks me when she can go to school next!
Katie Callaway: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe have had a wonderful experience having our child attend ELC! The small class sizes, excellent curriculum, and amazing teachers have made it a great experience for my son's first year of preschool.
Alexandra Bander: We have 2 children who attend ELC. I was a teacher for 10 years and was very particular about what I wanted for my children. There is so much that we love about the school, but mainly how ELC teachers are so nurturing and caring for each student's independent needs. We love how communication with the home is key - I know what my children are learning at school each week and how I can extend it at home. Lastly, we love how the day is organized, yet gives my child choice.  If you need a preschool, look no further. Your child will be well prepared for Kindergarten from ELC.- ELC Parent
Ashley Edwards: I've been an ELC parent for 2 years now, and I can't say enough great things about this school! My son couldn't wait to "graduate" to the Butterfly room this year, and now my daughter is starting her first year in the Caterpillar room. All the teachers are so warm and welcoming, very patient and kind with the kids, and most of all, just have a very natural inclination towards teaching. They help foster kindness and creativity in all our children. In addition to the traditional preschool topics, the teachers work really hard to make sure our kids are learning new things too. Every week is a different theme which is carried through across all the areas: creative learning, reading, math and science, writing, and fine/gross motor skills. Also, they get outside every day which is excellent for burning off some extra energy and getting fresh air. We love ELC!
Alex Stewart: Our son loves going here. Very friendly staff and great community of parents and kids.
Cheryl Hoskins: We love this preschool! Our oldest has been there for a year and a half now, and I plan on sending her little sister next year. The teachers are amazing, the environment is great, and they truly feel like a family. I love the small class sizes, the curriculum, and the emphasis on outdoor play. As a bonus, it is super affordable compared to other like schools in the district. I cannot say enough good things. 👍👍
Rebecca Eaton: This was our daughter's first preschool experience, and we have absolutely loved it. The play based curriculum is great, the teachers are wonderful, and she went from being very nervous about preschool to wishing she could go every day. They also offer a range of enrichment activities that lets you further customize your experience. We would highly recommend this preschool to anyone!
Jessica Hoag: Moving from the Bay Area in California and not knowing the schools in the Ann Arbor area was difficult, but this school has exceeded our expectations. The teachers have been teaching at ELC for many years and have their system down to an art. As a teacher myself, I am confident that our boys will be ready for Kindergarten coming out of this program. The teachers and director really know our kids and love them! I encourage you to check out this program and send your kids here, we could not be happier with the curriculum and supportive environment.
Jenny Luttermoser: We love being an ELC family! Every morning our son wakes up and asks "do i go to school today?" In just one semester we've seen our energetic, not well socialized 3 year old, really thrive. From an increased thirst for learning, to being able to recognize and spell his name as well as other's names, he's also learning to share, play cooperatively with other children, and follow rules which has translated to life outside of school quite well with play-dates and following rules at home. The teachers are truly a gift. Its evident that they cherish the uniqueness of each of their students and their families, because they go out of their way to connect/communicate frequently, making sure everyone has a great preschool experience. We feel so lucky to have found a gem like ELC and highly recommend it.
Nycole Downing: The teachers here are so wonderful. I love that my child can come here, do fun activities, and be supported in the play/learning process. An affordable option for parents looking to avoid the co-op life. We wouldn't be anywhere else!
Olivia Finnie: ELC is exactly what my child needed. The teachers and staff go above and beyond. We have gone to other preschools, but ELC gets it ALL right! The love for children, the play-based teaching and the attention to details. We couldn’t ask for better teachers and a better school!
Brittany Bennion: After 4 kids and 4 different preschools, I have found the most amazing preschool. Early Learning Center is the whole package. The staff are wonderful and excellent at communicating what my child is learning in the classroom. They are professional, but most of all, I can tell they love their work and the children. This is more than just a "job" for them. My son comes home every day talking about what he has learned, singing songs, and identifying colors, letters, and shapes in the world around him. I only wish I had found this preschool earlier!
Krista Johnson: I absolutely love ELC. The teachers are phenomenal. I love how much they care about each individual child as well as their families. I have a daughter that graduated from ELC last year and my 3yr old is currently enrolled. It has been such a wonderful experience for my girls. Not only have they learned about shapes, colors, letters etc their confidence level and ability to get along with others has improved beyond my expectations . I can’t say enough about how much my family loves this preschool!!
Sarah Tayter: So my third of four children just started and ELC and I can't believe its taken me this long to post a review on Google. We absolutely ADORE the teachers at ELC. They are so warm and loving and have an incredible depth of knowledge and experience. They really have the total package. It is a play based program that gives the children the social skills necessary for kindergarten while at the same time fully preparing them academically to move on. And, on top of that, the program is run on a not for profit basis with a board of directors made up of parents. Its not a co-op so you don't have to attend class with your child, but it is a small community with lots of parental involvement and input. My children love going to ELC and I love that they are developing a love for learning at such an early age. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else!
David Smith: With the recent hiring of one of the best Preschool teachers in the state as the Director, ELC will continue to be the highest rated Preschool in Ann Arbor for a long time.
Susan Zink: Our family loves the Early Learning Center (ELC)! Our oldest son just graduated and our youngest will be starting there in January 2018. It is a play-based preschool with a wonderful teaching team of two teachers in each of the two classrooms (4 teachers total). The teacher/student ratios are low and the teachers really care about their students and the students' families. We have gotten close to many of the other families too over our time there. You can sign up for as little as two mornings a week (most preschools in Ann Arbor require at least three mornings) and then add more mornings and afternoon enrichments as desired. Sign up for a tour today...you'll love it!
Chelci Miller: I have been very impressed by the teachers at ELC! They don't only care about the child, they also care about that child's family. They are very personable. They share personal stories and also try to get to know you better. I love seeing the way the teachers interact with my child. They are very kind, patient, and loving. I also am a big fan of the play-based learning they do with the children. I believe it helps school be more fun for children. My son is constantly counting down the "sleeps" until he can go back to school because he loves it so much. I also like that they have after school options for the children to be involved in, if parents choose. I highly recommend ELC!!!
Elise Colleen Napier: We love the ELC! The program is play-based and there is always something my daughter is excited about. The teachers are top notch! They are pros at dropoff, knowing when nervous new kids need to be engaged in play and when they need loving support. The school offers some extension programs for when kids are ready for more, and parents can choose to be more involved or not at all. What a loving and gentle transition into school!

Little Blue Preschool: what do users think?
Kate Glahn: Our daughter has gone there for over 2 years. Fantastic and caring staff. Great outside play spaces. Very homey. And they let kids be kids - lots of imaginative play, not a lot of We have been super happy there!
Uljana Feest: We love it there. It's small and nurturing. Beautiful toys (no beeping plastic crap) and a great outdoor space. The teachers pay a lot of attention to the children's individual personalities, especially (but not exclusively) focusing on social skills. There is just the right amount of structure for the kids to have a daily routine, but there is also plenty of time for free play. Many wonderful activities that involve messing around with sand, water, foam, various kinds of paints and other materials. The kids learn a lot through projects and theme-weeks. The staff is both professional and genuinely caring. I feel completely at ease, leaving my son in their care
Allison C: My daughter has been going there for a year and she loves it! I love it to a warm friendly environment and all the kids are taught in a great manner. This summer they are learning about science, planting flowers, watching ants and other bugs and watching tadpoles turn into frogs. I wouldn't have wanted anything more for my child then what i found at Little Blue Preschool.
