Insightful, compassionate, intelligent, and thoughtful!After a less than encouraging experience with the mental health field in general as a teenager I was hesitant in my early thirties to admit that maybe I did need more help than I could give myself. My experiences with NP Phillips as a practitioner and Zemirah as a talk therapist have shown me time and time again how much better life can be when the system works as intended. I don't even get nervous before our appointments anymore, instead I look forward to them! If I'd known how much my quality of life would improve working with a friendly and highly competent group like A2 Psych I would have sought help years ago. Don't make my mistake. If you're reading reviews to work up the courage to call, just call. They're truly a kind and understanding bunch who genuinely want to help you as a person, not just make money.

Christina Cortez: Fraudulently charged my daughters card for inquiring about making an appointment. She didn’t sign any documents or made an appointment. She is a young adult and should have been more careful about giving out her card information beforehand. $225 for inquiries to a consultation and then charging her card months later? Bad business. Do your research there are much better places to go than here.

Vidhya Rajaprabhakaran: There's a lot of availability for new and old patients. The doctor is able to see any patient within a seven day period. The office is very covid-19 safe as well, as the whole faculty team is fully vaccinated and Dr. Raj offers online as well as in person appointments for those who are fully vaccinated. This office is well run and dedicated to helping patients.
Michele Laf: Dont do any study with dr rag i signed up for a study for a major depression disorder i had to all they to their office and he was asking me all these uncomfortable questions i was diagnosed with major depression disorder but he said i was not edgible for the study because i had a intellectual disability so he said i was not able to qualify for the study so he wasted my time and would not reimburse me for gas so beware
Allison Meyer: Took multiple phone calls to get through to a rude staff member with a couple of new patient questions. I was also told that “the doctors will not prescribe any controlled substances” under any circumstances, even if you are an adult who has had success with traditional ADHD medication.
Heather Daquial: While seeing Dr. Raj my husband switched jobs and insurance causing problems with pre-authorizations, communications and who knows what else, resulting in no medication. I (not Dr. Raj) have been trying to figure out how to get back on the same medication that I had been taking for years WITHOUT ANY CONCERN OR COMMUNICATION from Dr. Raj...who gets paid $275 to see me for 10 minutes (during the 10 minutes he is charting on his computer while we are talking...this can’t be normal). Where is the patient care? Why hasn’t he called me to communicate, to figure out my meds, to check in, to something, anything....nope...crickets...Avoid this Psychiatrist.
Jayla Mosley: Their mailbox is always full, so it's almost impossible to get refills. I literally have to call three days in a row to reach anyone. The longest I had to wait for someone to get in touch with me was a week and a half. They also did not stop the order of a medication from Genoa Pharmacy when I was taken off of it like they said they would. This caused me to be billed an additional three times by the pharmacy. I called the office about it and they said they would take care of it, it still has not been resolved, and I have told them about this issue in person several times and called, I just gave up.Dr. Raj is very rushy. He is not a good psychiatrist to me. It takes forever to get an appointment, and they last 3 minutes with him. All I can say is run far, far away. Choose someone/facility that is easier to get in contact with.
Scott Gordon: Dr. Raj is insensitive, he doesnt listen, and he diagnoses on the spot which is rediculous to say the least. They never answer their phones so God forbid you have any issue at all. Avoid at all costs.
Karen Casarella: Wrote the wrong prescription on a Friday tried to get ahold of them at for called 4:00 and 4:15 ,430,445 left messages on their answering machine no response all weekend did not call me back on Monday. finally I had to call again on Tuesday finally someone answer the phone I am not happy with your office !! writing the wrong prescription for my son yeah!

Jordan Rosencrants: Due to unprecedented events, it’s been really hard to find psychiatrist availability. Dr. Feurino was the first individual to call me and that stands out to me, unfortunately he was full and not accepting new patients at the time. Yet he took time out of his day to talk to me about my issues and was extremely comprehensive about my situation. He gave me a knowledgeable fundamental basis of my situation all in just the 10 minute phone call we had. If anyone has the opportunity to be apart of his patients, be grateful because you are dealing with someone who actually cares and wants to make a true difference for your mental health.

Without going too far into the details, Dr Feurino not only returned my call, but he then followed me into the weekend to make sure I was safe and ok. Catherine Quirion: I was referred to Dr. Feurino after I began suffering severe, debilitating panic attacks that lasted for days and episodes of extreme, immobilizing anxiety after going through two Category Five hurricanes in two weeks and the seven-month aftermath of the storms. Even after we moved away from the Caribbean, those conditions unexpectedly continued.Dr. Feurino almost immediately identified and explained that the emotional scaffolding for the panic attacks was set up long before the symptoms erupted in such a damaging way. Practically every appointment I had with Dr. Feurino produced a useful insight into my mind and my responses -- from anger to withdrawal -- and from his work I could develop both awareness and strategies to avoid the kind of pressured thinking that damaged me in the first place.This is psychoanalysis as an art form as well as a medical practice and I would recommend Dr. Feurino with all my heart.

When I emailed him in a very desperate situation he called me within the hour and we scheduled an appointment right away. A year of extensive counselling give me and my son the tools we needed to start progressing in the right direction. Just a few years ago my son had the emotional maturity of about a 2 1/2 year even though he was 16. Crying in the night, wouldn't leave the home, afraid to be alone, scared of everything and the list goes on and on. He is now a very productive 20 year old who is working full time and was just promoted to a manager. I will never forget Dr. Feurino! We haven't been his patient for a couple of years now but I continue to check in with him with updates on our family. He always takes time out of his busy schedule to email back. Jenna Hoban: Michigan Advanced psych is an incredible and unique psychiatry practice. The entire team is personable and makes you feel very comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in need of advanced treatments. Cannot say enough great things about this place and these hard-working people!

Dr. Schmale is a one of a kind physician I can assure you of that! He has an amazing bedside manor which is patient, compassionate, caring, empathetic, understanding & is extremely knowledgeable. I love that Dr. Schmale & Sam design your treatment plan specifically for the patient individually as well as encourage the patient to have an active roll in helping to determine what’s the best option for a treatment plan and what makes the patient feel the most comfortable.

Wesley Pein: I was really struggling with about a decades worth of major depression which continued to devastate my mental and emotional health. I was super reluctant to do anything except for try to "sit tight" and hope that things would get better...they didn't and the situation grew increasingly desperate. In light of this, I started routine therapy, and sought medical attention, which is when I fell under the care of Dr. Gotlib. She was very empathetic, professional, and helpful in creating a treatment plan for me. Together, we came up with a plan that got me feeling better and kept me feeling better. Should I regress in the future, I am comforted to know that Dr. Gotlib will be around to once again provide quality care.
