Matt Steiner: So I called them to set up an estimate and the appointment was for a Friday between 5:00pm and 6:00 pm and at about 5:30 that Friday I get a call saying they are held up and can’t make it. Ok fine it’s a Friday. The guy that cancelled on me said they can do Tuesday or Wednesday the following week. I called back Monday (3 days later) and scheduled a Wednesday appointment, same time frame. I get a call Wednesday at 515 saying they “don’t know how this got scheduled but they don’t do these appointments on Wednesdays.” Are you kidding?! So they cancelled twice and the lovey dispatch guy still tried to convince me to trust them, they’d come to the next appointment. I guess if you get them to show up maybe they would do ok work? Based on this I wouldn’t trust them to install anything in my house. Not worth wasting time.

Barry Chapman: Did not get the door we wanted - invested over $11,000 in the door and surrounding frame and trim, only to be rewarded with shoddy workmanship. The door is coming away from the wall, there is a 1/4" gap surrounding our door, and the screen door was made out of sub-par materials.SEE UPDATE BELOW:The spring in the latch for the storm door broke, so now we have to lock the storm door if we don't want it to blow off in a storm. Not to mention the fact that we had to have a special hook installed to prevent the storm door from blowing open in the 'moderate' wind, only to rip the hinges and door off of the wall entirely (again).When we tried to get this repaired, 16 months into our supposed several year warranty, they tried to send us to a third party installer, and told us it would cost $120/hr.Thanks, but no thanks. Not again.Update:They came through and replaced the entire door after a tech determined that it was warped from the factory. This was the reason it never latched properly. Five stars for outstanding customer service, although the lower customer service reps could stand to be educated a bit on their policies and procedures. I would recommend this place for sure now. Quality install and product.

Jennifer George: George Meyer installed half of the windows on our home. They also installed the front door. They came back FIVE times to redo their work. The windows are still leaking. The front door is still leaking. Water is pouring into our house through the windows and the front door when it rains. We have emailed them a few times in the last year and they are not responding. Jim Hayes: This review is for the entire sales process. Mike (sales) knows what he is doing and not pressure, and the showroom wasn't a zoo. I was able to get in and out feeling good about the visit. The windows look great. Based upon the reputation for quality, I expected them to be much more expensive than the big advertisers in metro Detroit. They weren't. About 10% more than the competitors quoted price, which very likely would have increased with unmentioned essentials. Kevin and Ed (installers) were very professional and efficient. Highly recommend.

They came by and put in a. using screen door that doesn’t have a functioning lock, bedroom windows only stay open 1/4 way, they just slide down and 90% of the screens are bowed out. The guy promised to place an order and get us a functioning and locking back door screen as well as replace the bedroom windows with ones that actually stay open…it’s been over 6 months no word. When the guy came i felt like he was just saying stuff to get me to be like don’t worry it’s okay but it’s not i paid alot for these things. Call me when you have mr screen door and windows, i’ll be happy to rewrite my review.

Ken Valrie: We are experiencing a problem that any of you who has these windows installed in your home may experience. There is an issue with two of the windows inside our condo. That is fairly new built in 2014. Moisture inside two of the window panes which means the seal failed. Not a big issue right, unless you have to contact this company to have your warranty serviced. After several attempts to get confirmation that the windows would be repaired under warranty we still haven’t gotten a confirmation or any written information that our windows would be replaced. This poses a very troubling situation because our condo is up for sale and the windows did not pass inspection. So ultimately the fact that someone hasn’t lived up to their part of the bargain which is a warranty on these fairly new windows may cause my sale not to go through. With that being said I’m giving this company five thumbs down.

Yong Hindy: This was the contractor choice by the home builder for my new construction home. I had no choice in the matter. However I started having a leak in my window after a year now. I contacted this company and they told me that I'm out of luck since my warranty is over. They said they will "work" something out after seeing my images and would come out that next week. Received no calls, no follow up, nothing. The fact its only just after a year, you'd think you rather save face and cover the work and fix the problem, but I guess not. Wouldn't recommend this company if you want follow through on the work if you have issues.

Phil Denys: I had Michigan windows and doors out to look at warranty work on my doors and Windsor windows. They came early August to see what parts they needed. After 4 months of not hearing from them I called and was told everything will be available in a few weeks. She called me saying they had everything but the tech looked it over and the order was wrong. The reordered the parts and it only took two weeks for those to come in but they where all wrong too. I talked to the manager who said he would handle this problem. I talked to him a few times and he said the parts should be in Tuesday. He called me Monday to tell me. 10 days later I get a call to set up an appointment. Now it's winter time and no one wants to have their doors taken off their house in the cold. Nothing has been done to compensate for there mistakes. Going on 7 months for warranty work is poor customer service. I do plan on contacting Windsor windows and the door company to tell them about my experience with Michigan Windows and Doors.If you are reading this please save your time and energy by going to another Window and Door company

This place promised two months installation. Long story short, installation was finished in about 5 months only a month shorter than the Wallside.That is fine... Maybe there was something that was outside of their control. But what I did not appreciate was the fact I had to keep checking on them for any updates on installation.Also, after the installation, I called the office twice to pay but was not able to get hold of anyone.Then I get this text from "in house counsel" regarding my collection issues. It was bit insulting when a company who were 3 months late and a company who did not have their stuff together to take my payment thinks I am somehow a deadbeat because their bill was not paid in a WEEK.Eventually got to talk to that "in house counsel" guy and that thing degenerated into shouting match.The window seems to be fine and the installers were professional. Told about how the window was made , the quality of the product, the workmanship and of course the value. The deciding factor along with the quality product was they offered a program called Michigan Saves and there was a rebate offered through the government. They set me up with financing which was just a few calls from Lake Michigan Credit Union and I had windows on order, 20-24 weeks this was when the supply chain was slower and product availability was was slower then normal delivery. They kept me informed during this process and I didn’t mind waiting because I had a quality product being installed and it would benefit me for many years to come. January of 2022 they came to install. Installers were respectful of my condo and wore coverings on their shoes and cleaned up after themselves. That’s a huge Customer Service plus in my book . David and Krisztina Fleury: We are in the planning phase of a window and door replacement with Pure Energy. I can't yet comment on the quality of the installed product or the service to install. My comment now simply reflects the professionalism and patience of Adrian in this planning phase. He arrived when promised, sat with us for about 5 hours and went through all available options in great knowledge and detail. After the 5 hour session we agreed to a plan, including all types of windows as well as the two doors. Then what all contractors love, we requested a change the next day. Adrian was very helpful and quickly accepted what we proposed and committed to updating our plan. I realize there are limits to what changes can be proposed and accepted so we know this won't always be possible. So far Pure Energy is doing great. Much more to come in the coming months as we go through the whole process.
