Real Estate Training For U, LLC: what do users think?
Joshua Hatman: The instructor made the class enjoyable with real life examples and plenty of jokes to keep the class's attention focused. Very engaging making sure we all participated in a physical training activity to help us learn and cement the skills / knowledge taught. Breath of fresh air from other training and certification courses.
Georgia Gebow: Great class & teacher. Made the class interactive and interesting..even on a Friday night ! :)
JD Denison: The class was informative and helpful.
Robert Kubala: Full professionalism, great atmosphere, no stress.
Nate Dickens: The instructor did a great job presenting the material in an easy-to-understand way, and made use of relatable experiences to help cement concepts.
TIMOTHY GUDAS: Great Class! Loren had great energy making the class fun!
G Nash: Loren was a great instructor for the Certified Lead Renovator course and has a wealth of knowledge in real estate as well. He offered his knowledge after the course as well.
Will Knott: Good class, the instructor Loren, was very helpful with any questions students had, was knowledgeable and did a good job interacting with the class.
Jim Goudie: Course was presented at a good pace, clear and concise with good real-life examples throughout. I was a bit surprised when it was time to wrap up as it went so quickly.
Douglas Ross: The information provided made studying for the test a breeze! The coarse is broken down into concise and easy to comprehend sections followed up with section tests. The tests are multiple choice and a good representation of the material, pass the section tests and you will pass your State test!Oh one more thing the owner Loren is not only a great instructor, and a really good guy but can answer any question relating to Real Estate, he is a real pro! Thanks Loren for all your help!
Fallon Corcoran: Had a great experience getting LSR certified! Loren made the process fun and easy. He was really thorough and made sure everyone in the class knew what they needed to, to create a safe working environment!
Megan Dowell: I purchased the MI Residential Builder's course in 2019 and could have written Avichai's review below word for word. I've noticed they no longer have this course available on their website, and I'm going to assume it's because it was so awful. The Residential Builder's course was just pages of power point information, and sometimes even the WRONG information. They also only allowed access to my classes for a certain amount of time. Once I called and mentioned that I was studying after passing the course, they physically locked me out of the course because it had been over a year. I can no longer login.I purchased another course from MI Builder's License in 2021 and wound up passing my exam today but only because I studied THEIR course as much as possible. Because I purchased it, I can access it any time I want in the future for as long as I want as well. If I had gone into PSI with the information from Real Estate Training for U, I would have failed. If they are no longer offering this course, great! They shouldn't have in the first place and I would have liked to get my money back. It was an absolute waste of time and I wouldn't recommend them for any future course either.
Will Saad: I had the chance to take Loren's lead safety class in February 2021. He makes an incredibly boring and dry subject enjoyable and engaging. His hybrid online/in-person class was easily accessible and a better fit for my schedule - completing most of the training online and attending a 2-hour in-person class rather than needing to commit a full 8 hours as most places do. Will definitely recert with him when i'm set to expire.
David Starke: Purchased a course for the Builder's license. They have a 12 month time limit (Which they don't tell you), then they charge extension fees. LOL. This is a power point that looks like it was made by a high schooler that copied it out of a book. This was attempted through the pandemic and this company doesn't care or communicate with you once your purchase goes through. No follow up emails or warnings concerning time limits etc.PURCHASE A COURSE ELSEWHERE. DON'T SHOP HERE
Johnny H: Loren Romain @ Real Estate Training for U - One of the BEST Instructors I have had the pleasure of training with. Top notch! Knowledgeable. Concise. Clear. Organized. Personable. Humorous. I highly recommend Loren for any of your instruction needs.
Yousif Jacksi: absolutely terrible course. spelling errors, excessive run on sentences, missing info, terrible quality in everything. save your money
Avi T: I PASSED the Michigan Residential Builder License exam today (on my very first try)! And, I feel that I owe it to the public to write a truthful review. This review is strictly for the Online Residential Builder's Training Course (as I cannot speak to any other).First, I found the staff to be very sincere and helpful when sought. Second, I "believe" that all of the materials and resources that you need to pass the Residential Builder's can be found in the class; I "believe." That being said, I must say that this is an extremely poorly written/presented course and I would NOT RECOMMEND purchasing this product. Had I not reached out to another company for training, there is no way that I would have passed my exam today and would have undoubtedly joined the throng of poor souls destined to test, test and test again.I purchased this course at the end of 2020. I IMMEDIATELY questioned the quality/value. The FIRST thing to note is that the course consists ENTIRELY of long Power Point Presentations with NO SOUND, NO VIDEO, NO ILLUSTRATIONS (maybe 5, at most) in conjunction with LENGTHY Michigan Legislative Acts and MIOSHA laws with NO explanation or insight. So, in addition to a 153 page Power Point for one topic, you are also expected to wade through, analyze and digest gobs of legalese. It's incredibly boring and impossible follow. On top of that, the writing of the course (the actual grammar and style) is just BAD: Poorly constructed sentences and the like. After the first two or three topics of this, I called and requested a refund. To their credit, they were immediately willing to refund my payment, but suggested that I give it a try and to call back in three days if I found that it was still not to my liking, indicating that one benefit of this course is that you aren't tied to videos (i.e. you could finish all the course work in two days if you wanted). I agreed and gave it a bit more time. On the third day I opted to NOT take the refund, feeling that I could "manage." (I will point out here that I had NO background in building and this may have worsened matters). Months passed where I simple STRUGGLED at every turn to get through the course. Finally, another friend introduced me to another company and I began sitting-in and watching their videos. My mind was BLOWN AWAY with the stark difference in quality!!!So, I devised a plan with my cohorts to sit through the entire 60 pre-license course with them. I would watch and participate with them in their course and just click-through my course from RETFU. I studied the other courses for mastery and comprehension, and just made the test attempts with RETFU (i.e. click to end and "testing" until I passed). It worked; I had to essentially end up taking a 120-hour course. After taking my test today and passing the very first time, I can tell you that if you depend on RETFU, you WILL FAIL your exam. They simply do not cover or provide the needed instruction! I couldn't even use the material from the course as a final study source for the exam.I'm sorry to write this review because I honestly believe the staff and builder (tutor) are kind, want you to succeed and are willing to help as much as possible. But, the public should be warned and I honestly feel that this company should not (at present) be licensed or allowed by the state to provide the pre-license course (at least not an online version). I do, however, also honestly believe that if the same course was presented in a live setting, it could prove to be beneficial.
Kyle S: Very helpful and dependable staff. You would expect a company that offers online testing to be less responsive to customer needs and technical issues but these guys are not like that. You can count on them even 6-8 months after purchase.
Michael Niemi: Critical:Communication,ProfessionalismIf I could leave no stars I would, this was hands down the most unprofessional training Center I've ever come across. Save your money and the headache go somewhere else
