(ALWAYS FELT WELCOME) And I have also had the pleasure of enjoying Rice wood ( ALWAYS FELT WELCOME).Sunday, for Mother's Day, my youngest son took me to York for a bit to eat. The man and Lady behind the bar were amiable and pleasant. We talked to them before ordering our food. It wasn’t the same at the ordering counter. We stood there while all the staff were walking and moving around, looking and staring at us as if we didn’t belong there. Not one person smiled and said (WE WILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU) Finally, a nervous young lady took our order. We ordered two corn beef sandwiches, and we got two pastrami sandwiches full of mayonnaise. Because of the warm welcome we received 🙄 my son didn’t want to make a fuss about not liking or wanting his sandwich. I know the staff has seen black people in the restaurant before. HELL, there was a young black girl on her computer and drinking coffee. But there was a table in front of us with four older ladies that made our visit there pleasant.

A. Shanti James: This is specifically for the wine space & store: the woman that I often communicate with here is the best. Came in very quickly and asked for her recommendation for a specific Etna vineyard + producer combo and she had an answer right away. Her pick did not disappoint. Had it w/corkage at a restaurant in town.

Viswanath Akella: I think the food is over priced for what you get. Had the swiss onion soup which was bland and had no flavour. The serrano ham is good but the sandwich was pretty minimal. Perhaps the biggest turn off was the woman making the coffee, she was plain rude especially after making my order wrong and then refusing to address it and that was disappointing since you are obliged to leave a tip before receiving anything.

L WW: This place is for everyone! You can find coffee, pastries, wine, BBQ (Ricewood!) and food trucks (Bao Boys!) all in one stop. I also love the outdoor seating area during the summer time. It is fun and relaxing to visit!

I chose a bar seat (the bar has convenient electrical outlets) to eat some avocado toast, drink coffee, and get a few hours of work done.It has a bustling energy and a nice selection of things to eat and drink.We've also been to the patio during the summer for events - and it's so much fun. Noah and his team do an amazing job caring for guests and entertaining them.

I had to send my burger back because it wasn't cooked properly and when it was brought back, it still was undercooked. I thought it was kind of bland and under seasoned. FORREALNEWS: I was treated probably the worst I have been at any bar last night and this has happened repeatedly. Regardless of the employees personal bias the owner said it's fine if I come years ago since I'm a former employee. I was discriminated against and they refused to serve me their posted specials for the night. They refused to make me long islands they have $3 long islands and he told me I could only get beers for $5 and shots for $6. He said I have to leave at 9pm. Then the employees are telling me to go to HopCat instead when I leave and they're refusing to serve me after I left to get more cash. I have my serve safe alcohol certification and the only way they can refuse me is if I'm clearly intoxicated after 1 beer that's not the case.

We were both done eating for well over 15 minutes I had my credit card out and she asked how the food was tasting. I told her we were ready to leave. She never asked if we needed any boxes or anything else. Will not be coming back to this location
