Munger Graduate Residences: what do users think?
Dania: The damage that not having a window has done to my mental health and circadian rhythm cannot be put into words.
Steve Chen: An expensive residence. The quality has been going down for a while. The ongoing false fire alarms and drills through the entire summer severely impact the living experience. One of the elevators has been out for a week and it is not yet fixed.Tons of undergraduate students flood into the study rooms in Munger while the administrators claim "You belong here" to residents. They even ask residents to check their IDs to see if they are residents here. If not, residents are requested to ask those people to leave. This a perfect strategy to manage a building with free student labor force.
Aniket: No windows in rooms. Otherwise the place is amazing. Private theater, pool, tr,study space, gym. Big kitchen
Robert Thomas Cole: Absolutely Beautiful Campus with Very Positive Vibes, ♥ 🙏
Natasha Stewart: The individual rooms are small and don’t have windows, but the common spaces are very nice. I loved the rooftop track.
Kittikun C.: Great community but most of the room are windowless.
peter stack: The rent is $1000.00+ a month. 90% of the bedrooms have no windows. And there is no overnight parking available for residents. It is nice that you don't have to worry about internet or other bills. And the public areas inside are nice. But overall I can't recommend. This is supposed to be student housing, and I don't believe that the University of Michigan should be profiting hundreds of thousands of dollars off of Graduate Students. They are gatekeeping the basic need of housing. Also, the billionaire Charles Munger donated the building to UMich, under the condition that he got to design everything (even though he isn't an architect) hence most of the rooms have no windows and feel like solitary confinement cells.
Cecil Schinco: Smart people congregate here
Laney Sullivan: They have massage chairs, a movie theater and UV light therapy. Incredible.
Olúwábùnmi Bernard: Great place
leyang wen: Great place, but be prepared for continuous false fire alarms
Blake Karwoski: Great place to live for grad students.-pricing is in line with many off campus places-nice amenities (study spaces, gym, game room etc)-community atmosphere-Umich housing provides lots of events for residents-let residents cancel leases due to the covid-19 situation, and paid students to leave.Cons:-most rooms don't have window (wasn't a big deal to me)-about one fire alarm per month
Imokola John: Good reading areas, friendly staff and very safe
Aaron Johnson: For all the Hash-Bash people, this is where all the food is at.
Nick Wong: Random guy offered me an extra sandwich he had from a conference because he thought he met me before. I don't even go to this school, but the sandwich was good.
Checkered Flag Interactive Media: Beautiful hall but very pricey. Great for GSIs who want to live on campus and don't have vehicles or need to travel off campus much. Great views from the rooftop terrace.
Brad Petrowitz: Lived here for two years while in grad school at Michigan, and it is becoming increasingly more coveted. Great spaces for studying both upstairs and on the basement level. On site gym, laundry, convenience store, game room, theater, computer lab, and multipurpose rooms.
Tom Jackson: My daughter lived there, beautiful housing.
Garrett W (Gwheese): The lack of windows in the bedrooms is creepy, but the common spaces are well furnished and have plenty of windows. Easy parking, gym is nice, on campus, and very secure.
Pratama Suprayogi: Top facilities
Black Hawk Sage: Nice luxurious atmosphere

South Quadrangle: what do users think?
meir bamberger: Great location
Abdullah Nauman: Best dorm
redtaul buteo: bad fire alarm problems … present for years… unsafe and annoying and clearly not important to the university
ROBERT MOORE: Beautiful place to live. I was impressd!
Ronnie Caddell: It was a good run why it lasted when i was there i was there from Two thousand seven teen till two thousand twenty twenty then off for Two years then I was there for Two in half months two thousand twenty two January to April it was pretty Good
Muhsinun Chowdhury: Plenty of nice study spots
M S: olive branch food goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's great
Wally Alhomaidi: I used to think south was the best dinning but all I had today was bad yogurt, dried fries, and cereal in their tiny bowls 😭
D B Transport LLC: Dorm room is hotter than ?%$# but just for a fue week's
Khodr Fawaz: Couzy place
Max H.: Lived in South Quad for 2017 and 2018 school year. It's a really great dorm overall, close to all of your classes, large rooms (especially rooms at end of hallway), lots of common space on each floor and in the basement, and a great social atmosphere. Also the food is in my opinion the most varied of all the dining halls (before COVID). Highly recommend this dorm as a great place for first or second year students to live. Only drawbacks are the building is insanely hot for the first two weeks about of school - there isn't great ventilation and the building retains heat. Also, the fire alarm goes off all the time, even in the dead cold of winter and sometimes in the wee hours of the morning. But given the drawbacks, it's still worth it.
Carter Starr (Carter Starr): Huey Lewis and da news
Pj Ciarelli: Decent food
Nicholas: Best food on campus?
vikram gulati: It's ok
William Mok: The dining hall of the gods
Darrin Rabb: Bash
Ellie Rose: big, highly recommended dining hall that i find sort of overwhelming
Dillan Pribak: The butter was good; but, the rice was uncooked, and there were no napkins. All looks, but no follow through.
Tony Pan: Lost several pieces of mail.Overrated dining hall, lazy, racist, and rude staff.
Craig Bradley: No idea just working in the area but I love the big ten burrito joint and surrounding area

Couzens Hall: what do users think?
Teresa Lynn Allen: Afsme elections
Leno Roman: Beatiful
Junhyeok Lee: It's freaking cold here even without AC during Summer (always 71~73 degrees fahrenheit). You should bring your hoodies. Everything else is fine. It's close to Mosher Jordan, one of the best dining halls in UMich.
Jaiden S: Not the greatest parking here but pretty nice building.
Tim Robinette: Top notch health care facility in the city of northville
Hypatia Magyar: Has covid
Pj Ciarelli: Nice, safe
William Hu: I stay here my sophomore year at the University of Michigan. The dorm was very nice and well-furnished and done after extensive renovations and changes and I enjoyed the time I spent in this dorm. Also the staff were friendly and attentive to any needs I had.
Mark Sirois: Moved my daughter in today. Students who were there to assist were polite, efficient and helpful. Her room was in clean, “move-in” condition. Staff was helpful, location is good for her classes. Like the hardwood floors, wi-fi right in room. Seems like it is going to be conducive to success.
Jack Berens: Staff is super & kind. Great place to live!
david bloom: If ICE bangs on your door, you do NOT have to let them in. Remain silent. Record the encounter.
Michael Parton: My son has spent the summer here and has had a wonderful experience at University of Michigan.
Stacie Holcomb: The maintenance mechanic, Ed H. is an asset to the University of Michigan and is an outstanding employee! He is knowledgeable, caring, prompt and friendly! He goes out of his to way to assist the students and their parents and staff members any way he can. And He possesses incredible, strong work ethics that are rare to find. This man will work circles around most people. Ed is hard to keep up with and give 120% every day. He has been known as "A Beast"!
Farzana Chowdhury: Good rooms, not the best location.
Nick K: Cool Study rooms to bum off of if you live in markley.
Checkered Flag Interactive Media: Loved living here at CZ. Close to a dining hall and beautiful building. Plenty of singles and AC in the rooms. My only complaint is some of the resident staff were very rude and caught up in political drama and treated me very unfairly.Other than that. Great location, street parking and close to a parking garage.
Kevin Chen: Wow
vepierce vepierce: Go blue
Aniruddh DVS: It's a nice place. Specially the rainbow room
Trajan Centers: Very nice dorm! Centrally located on central.
Loralye Johnson: Nice dorms, pretty new, clean. Nice bathrooms too.

Fletcher Hall: what do users think?
Kyle Ritenour: This place has its own dining hall!!! 100% recommend for freshman.
Georgia McDowell: I have reviewed already, but thought it was necessary to review again because since last time, there has been an addition of the J&J's hair salon and J&J's nail salon, and both of these are worthy of a 6/5 review. Not to mention the indoor pool and million dollar gym, could not give fletcher hall a better review.
Debbie Haddix-Sedlarik: Thanks for the parking. GOooooBLUuuuuE!
Alex R: Fun location and community. Walk is manageable, plus there is good access to busses. Very close to big house, IM gym.

East Quadrangle: what do users think?
Lillian Hazel Pearce: I was in the RC, so lived here my freshman year in 2019. It’s a great location on campus and one of the nicer (recently updated) dorms. The dining hall always has plenty of options and is a favorite among vegetarians and vegans. The blue cafe has good food and drinks. I liked to study in the Green Lounge. If you’re interested in the humanities, either as a concentration or as a hobby (ie you like writing, movies, etc), I’d recommend checking out the Residential College.
Lily Sun: Went to the Keene Theater. Saw a play called Bakkhai. It was brilliant.
Megen Forster: Love Keene theatre
Linda Monroe: A beautiful renovated dorm
Adam Dietlein: My Daughter's home for the 2022/23 school year. Very nice dorms with Great Courtyards
Berni: Was there for a very busy move-in day. Very organizes. Building was very clean, inside and outside. Very responsive and knowledgeable maintenance repair team.
Scott Schroeder: Everyone beyond helpful! Go Blue!!!
Sue Lozano: Wad really impressed with my Granddaughter's dorm. Released alot of my worry.
Martin Daman: I LIKE THEIR COUCH I FELL ASLEEP BUT SOME GIRL THREW A BOOK AT ME. NICE PING PONG TABLES
Alec Perkey: spin the cube
Ammad Hassan: Boujee dorm
GREATIMPROVEMENT: Nice clean campus.

Rose theflower: Not too many people, but set up very nice
John Kim: My son loves it here! Go Blue!
Anthony Zahm: Very hot.
Noah Duchan: 0/10, would not recommend
Adam Emerson: Classrooms are well made and there are plentiful bathrooms.
Chris MacKethan: East quad beast quad. There is no better housing on campus. Pool table, ping pong table, computer lab, ceramics studio, woodshop, dark room, drawing/painting lab, great food, and a theatre.
Michael Glover: Nice old building except for the restroom I went into but I heard they were making some changes to update the restrooms.

Saga Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Ethan Scholl: Loved here for my senior year of Michigan and really enjoyed it. The maintenance and front desk people were really nice and super responsive if I had an issue. I also enjoyed having a gym in building.
Jing He: love living here!! Best staff always super helpful
Justin Troup: Lived at younion/saga my senior year of college, and it was awesome. Free coffee, a 24/7 gym and a great location.
Christopher Zheng: Very spacious and beautiful apartments! We found everything was very modern and easy to use, staff is super friendly and helpful and maintenance is extremely fast - have had no issues and would highly recommend!
Brandon Huang: Great apartment! The rooms are large, with lots of headroom, and the building provides lots of amenities, such as a gym, a nice coffee machine, and a lounge on the top floor. The staff are also very nice, and will happily respond to any requests you may have. Overall, a very nice place to live in Ann Arbor.
Annie Guo: Love living here! Maintenance and any communication with the staff is reliable and efficient - I love the welcoming energy of this place and am incredibly happy with everything. The location is safe and convenient in addition to the beautiful view on the top lounge.
Sean Ko: Clean and spacious apartment with great staff that are always enthusiastic to help you out. Lounge is a great area for studying and meeting people.
Yu-Tung Lee: I lived here with four of my friends for a semester now, and I really enjoy the facilities and environment Saga provided! The officers at the apartment office are all super nice. I also enjoy meeting new people by joining the activities held at the sky lounge! Really great experience!
Sean Stroble: Management has been wonderful
hamza islam: I’ve been living here for 3 years now and have found really easy living in the spacious rooms and living area with all the necessary amenities I need on the 10th floor as well. The staff is very helpful and seem to know everyone’s face which makes them really easy to talk to. Overall, living here has been great and haven’t seen any reason to change where I live for a while now.
Samhita Sunkara: Enjoyed living here!
Patrick P: Great location, apartments are spacious, amazing staff, and there’s a new restaurant downstairs!!
Flynn Lyon: Very nice place! The rooms are all very homey (they have so much natural light) and the walls are thick enough where I almost never hear my neighbors. The walls inside the apartments do feel a bit thin, but just yell at ur roommates if they’re being too loud. Amenities are outstanding and the staff is super helpful/responsive whenever me or my roommates need anything! It is a bit pricey, but I think there’s a lot of quality that comes with the up-charge. Would strongly recommend!
Lakyra Keys: Saga is a really great place to call home. Everyone in the leasing office is so great. I've made the most amazing friends here. And a big thank you to Denise, who has been very helpful and answered every question I've had even before I signed my lease.
Sathvik Rajagopalan: Amazing location and community within the building!
Shaylee Menhennick: I've absolutely loved living here. Denise and Kelly in the leasing office are amazing and the sense of community that they have created has been great. There are so many fun events and giveaways every week that really just add to the overall experience of living here. It's amazing!
Kaira Liggett: I've been here for a few semesters now and I really enjoy living here. The building is within convenient proximity to campus and I especially appreciate how secure it is. The maintenance and cleaning staff are here daily to make sure everything is clean and in order. They also do a lot of fun giveaways and events with food and prizes which is really cool.
Juliana Johnson: So far the YOUnion has been amazing. I have met so many wonderful people here, which is great considering last year's situation. The staff here is wonderful. They are always doing new events every week. It has been awesome living here
Cathy: My daughter had a great experience living here! Very modern, clean and safe apartments with plenty of living space. The location is perfect because it’s within walking distance to campus and everything else that makes Ann Arbor cool. There is a lot of metered parking available in front of the building or in the parking structure that is conveniently located across the street. The staff are extremely nice and easy to get a hold of if you have any questions or concerns. Highly recommend!
Cara Teixeira: I love this place so much. Greatest apartment ever

400 Maynard: what do users think?
Ali Dagher: Stay away from this place , in addition to being over priced and poorly maintained they add a monthly charge of over $75 for so called “shared utilities “ these people are getting away with highway robbery!
John Beck: Terrible management which absolutely does not tend to any requests from tenants and is extremely rude and unaccommodating. The elevators always have a foul smell. Even though there are two elevators, most of the time one of them is down.Only positive is closeness of this building to central campus (Union, Angel Hall)
Matthew Hickey: If you choose to live here you should know that each spring and fall there will be 2 - 4 weeks where you will be without A/C when the temperatures can be in the 80's. I use to tolerate it better before the building sold, but the new owners raised my rent 30% and so now we are paying some of the highest rents in Ann Arbor and having to live like this. I recently requested the A/C to be turned back on because the temperature was getting into the mid 80"s and was told "it ain't gonna happen. Invest in some fans."
Du Xianli: premium one bedroom, about $1800 a month, and there is absolutely no lighting in the bedroom, can you imagine that???? Completely dark during the night
Hayato Watanabe: I lives here for about three years and the current management is much better than what we had before. I especially really love Emily the manager of the building who is super nice and thoughtful whenever I speak with her about problems.
Josh Basseches: I haven't moved in yet, so this review pertains only to the leasing experience, but I must say, it was one of the better experiences I've had (as someone who has rented many apartments). Very transparent, all of my questions were answered promptly by the leasing agent, and they even worked with me on final edits of the lease. Very pleased thus far, and excited to move in!
Tom Benedek: The new owners messed up a decent residence.
Ryan Leonard: quality isn’t so great, I visited the property and it looks like any other place on campus with slight renovations. The receptionist was nice.
zmohamme zmohamme: If you thought Harry Potter's closet living situation was ideal, then this place is right for you
Maral Ranjbar Aghdam: Extremely unprofessional. Tonight is the 3rd time in a row that we didn’t have internet the whole day since jan 2018. This building gets internet outage so so often. The office keeps saying they r working to get it back ASAP but they close right at 5 pm leaving the residents with no internet. This building has NO RESPECT for residents. STAY AWAYYYY!!!!
Sikander 'Sonny' Khan: Do not under any circumstances sign a lease here. This is the WORST, most inconvenient, unethical, building in Ann Arbor from Rita's trademark lies to lying upper-management to stained toilets to broken elevators to marijuana smells to damaged pipes to overpriced rent to PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGES OF PROMISED AMENITIES to broken wi-fi to constant construction to empty lobbies to broken front locks. The front door doesn't lock so ANYONE can intrude, but if they do, they probably would think this place is abandoned because the lobby is nonexistent since the renovations that were supposed to be completed in August ARE NO WHERE NEAR DONE. The elevators are our first level of actual security since they rarely ever work, so an intruder would have to take the really nasty stairs, where they would be greeted by pounds of marijuana smells all across the building (should be called 4/20 Marijuanard). If the intruder wanted to wash off the marijuana odors, he'd have trouble since the shower handles are missing and they PUT A WRENCH IN PLACE FOR IT FOR 2 MONTHS. At this point, an intruder would be concerned he accidentally broke into a prison since they're essentially the same thing, and runoff. In summary, I was lied to blatantly when I signed up here and have been lied to roughly 1 to 2 times per week by Rita. The fake Google reviews from former employees Jacob and Lydia, who don't live here, made me think this place would be great, false. If you think I'm exaggerating, literally ask anyone that lives here and they'll give you the same updates. Please don't make the make the same mistake I did.Edit: Please do not fall for the dangerously misleading fake Google reviews on here. None of the positive reviews are from actual tenants, they are from a bunch of people who were told to leave these reviews.
Abdulmalik Saleem: Renovations have been going on for a while. They were supposed to be done in August. It's December 7th and still no sign of finishing. One of the elevators also doesn't work. I will gladly update this post once things start to pick up, but from the looks of it, that doesn't seem to be any time soon.UPDATE: The lobby has been finished for about a month now and the renovations are looking quite spiffy. Wish they had it done earlier but results have been done nice.
alexus gulley: The apartment building is so close to campus and the community manager Rita is awesome! She is always communicating with residents and makes sure that everyone’s experience is great. The recently renovated rooms and the fitness center is also a plus!
jake stone: a hard time will not fix anything. She was put in a tough spot to clean up the mess left behind by the previous management company. Unfortunately that means a bunch of half-baked renovation work, hard-to-find repair work (i.e. broken commercial-grade doors and an ancient elevator
Mohammed Kibria: No respect to residents. Move in date was August 28th and they had just started renovating that day. Nothing was set up, no beds or toilets. Very unprofessional, only one elevator ever works. And whenever you question something, they just lie to your face. We have yet to get a ladder for our bunk, blinds, and key fobs. It's been 5 months.
Mobeen Kambod: This is the worst apartment building in ALL of Ann Arbor. They promised renovations to be done by move in day. The apartments weren't even done by move in day. My friend had his toilet in his bathtub and was forced to go home and move back later. Im writing this review on December 7th and the lobby is STILL BEING RENOVATED. We were promised study rooms and free printing...no signs of that. Looks like renovations are going to keep going until next year. The management is god awful. They blatantly lie to tenants. If you're reading this, find a different apartment, commute, or be homeless. Any of those are better options than staying in this dump.
Wayne Pritchard: Stopped in to meet the manager about maintenance and cleaning service. The manager was very nice and easy to talk too. I hope that we can do great work together.
Sarah p: Lack of respect for residents and poor conditions.
Shangnan Zhou: The bad smell from renovations is annoying. I am worried about my health. The noise woke me up this morning. During the winter, the heat broke down several times and the room temperature went below 45. :(
Jacob Rashty: Awesome place to live. Looking forward to living here next year once the renovations are complete! Highly recommend
Katie McCarty: I'm honestly shocked to see complaints about the management on here since I have been so impressed with the new hires within the past month or so! There have been some complaints about employees in the past, but management is always really quick to resolve these and replace them with people that really know what they're doing. Sure there has been some noise lately but that is only because they are doing renovations! and it will all be worth it once its done. After going to the property manager about the noise while I was studying, she even let me use a private conference room to study in and was extremely kind and understanding. Some people always have something to complain about...but i absolutely love it here!!!

Foundry Lofts: what do users think?
Kapil: Terrible, terrible establishment. Always smelly, rude management, and layout is terrible. Any place else in all of downtown is a better place to live than here.
Sifan Xue: Dream apartment. Went there for a party, and the public places are pretty clean and fancy.
David Caplan: Incredibly rude staff at Foundry. I couldn’t believe how disrespectfully they would treat a tenant during a basic interaction.
Yuer W: Too many things to complain about this apartment:1. The leasing office people are always late for work… they’re supposed to open at 10 am in the morning but nobody shows up when I was there at 11:30am with an emergency maintenance request… And I have experienced they being late for work several times… completely disappointed2. They do not take noise complaints seriously even though I submitted 3 noise complaints within a single week3. There’s no maintenance team on site on weekends so if anything happens from Friday evening to Sunday, you will just have to wait until Monday…
Matthew Riddell: It’s nice
Kelly Nugent: Good vegan stuff!!
Yash Chaudhary: love living here!
Karis Hawkins: As much as I have enjoyed living at foundry lofts overall there are a coupe issues that have become frustrating considering the cost of the apartment. The heating is a major issue I've had in the past couple months especially now that it is colder out. Heating costs are pretty high every month for the heat to only go up to 75 in the apartments, personally my heat has never reached 75 and more recently it hasn't got above around 69. To be charging what we pay for heat to basically not work as well as I would expect is concerning and exploitive of student residents, it is my first year living here and I did not expect to be paying over $100 a month for subpar heating. I would hope there could be some type of compensation for residents experiencing this continued issue either on behalf of the apartment and leasing team or the third party company. Other than this issue I've had great experiences with the maintenance team and the amenities and location is great.
Rosanna Chalfant: Lived here for 2 years during my undergrad experience at university of michigan and it had EVERYTHING 😍 luxury gym, hottub, 2 rooftops w tvs and views of ann arbor, high ceilings, HUGE windows, nice appliances, and the most beautiful views of campus!!! Best apt complex at Umich in my opinion❤️
Bradley Stakoff: Foundry is the best! The building is well kept, and all of the apartments are the same as they appear on pictures. Amenities are also great and well maintained. Gym feels brand new, and has great equipment.
Paige Gilstad: Lived here three years and signed a forth! Cozy apartments and great view. Love it
Josie Nicole: I have so far loved my experience at Foundry Lofts! It’s my first time feeling like I have my own home, the staff is friendly, and I have access to so many amenities that benefit my everyday life.
Gabe Essayan: Absolutely love this place! All the amenities are phenomenal, study room, tanning bed, gym and pool, they have it all! Staff is extremely welcoming and more than accommodating for all your needs. So happy I chose this place, definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to live!
Drake George: I’ve always had a wonderful experience at the Foundry. All of the rooms are well kept and the amenities provided are quite impressive. I always have a lovely time when I visit and spend time in the foundry!
Lenin Izquierdo: Foundry is an awesome apartment building. Such a connected and vibrant community of people that make it an awesome place to live. The gym and Hot tub amenities are great places to spend some time and the community spaces are awesome to hang out with friends. The apartments themselves are super clean and modern and they offer great views of the Ann Arbor area.
Dean Boodakian: Very clean and great staff! Lots of giveaways as well. Have had numerous friends live here and 0 complaints
Kelly Lomonte: Foundry is an extremely lovely place. You’re right in the heart of Ann Arbor. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The 2 things worth noting are spotty internet and slow elevators, but other than that, wonderful apartment building.
Luke Kolbe Mannikus: I really enjoy it here. Great view. Great spaces. Very friendly and responsive maintenance team!
Kaylee: Walls are very thin and the rent is pretty expensive, but the maintenance is super responsive and the location is good.
Caleb McArthur: Wow! What fun this place is! A hot tub! How cool!-Caleb McArthur
Christina Wellensiek: I love Foundry Lofts!!! The staff is so wonderful, especially Alexis.
