Michigan Works! Southeast | Washtenaw County: what do users think?
Suhn Lee: They NEVER return emails or voicemails. I have been trying to contact them for several months. I even walked in to this office and there was NO ONE AVAILABLE! What is the point of having a business office, if you can’t help anyone?
Rhonda Mercer: The staff is great. shout out to miss Stella for her patience and guidance helpful to the max
Hollyrock90: The absolute best place in Southeast Michigan to go to for all your employment needs. I even applied for Job Corps here at this location
Ventura Martinez: I can't imagine a better place to look for work.
Amelia Abraham: Awesome resources and conveniently located
Giselle Stitt: Registration for work in person is back, went smoothly. Not crowed
G Covington: Poor customer service. They don't answer the phone and don't return phone call messages
Kelly Still: Positive:Professionalism,Responsiveness,ValueAnthony is an incredibly representative at the location and he helped with all of my concerns. Thank you for showing amazing kindness and professionalism.
Gary Bushong: The staff are extremely helpful and polite.
Jasmine Billings: Critical:Professionalism,Quality
Dianne Poplawski: Not user friendly… I wanted to schedule interview with Michigan works!
Jackieee: Positive:Professionalism
Michael Cole: This Place Has Been At this Location For A Very Long Time. I Am Pretty Sure they Have Shut It Down And tried To Move It Into Downtown Ypsilanti a Few Times With No Success. I Have Had To Go There A Few times In The Past. I Wish They Dealt With Unemployment Claims A Lil Bit More Directly. In The Past I Was Able To Get Help Filing For unemployment Registering For The Talent Bank and I Have Also Taken Part In A Couple Of Their Courses To Make Sure My Resume Was Solid and To Learn How To Make Yourself Desirable To Employers In Order To Get A Decent Job. The People That Have Worked Here Are Always Very Nice And Very Helpful. I Understand That Now They Are Only Doing A Couple Of Things To Help Out The Unemployment Office In Grand Rapids But Hey If You Are Looking For Work These People Are Here To Put You On The Right Path.
C T: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueMichigan Works employees have been there for me when I have been unemployed. The workers go out of their way to make sure you have all of the tools needed for the success of your job search and any other work related issues. Even through Covid-19, they continue to go beyond the call of duty.
Gadgetman: Asked for the Veteran rep. They claim he only helps disabled vets. So pawning me off to another rep, I won't get the veterans weekly email job listing, any information on veterans job training, special programs nor grant information. I will get nothing a Vet would get in Detroit which is 45 minutes away. I would be assisted by someone who knows little more about these programs than I do if that.
Shawnda: The team here is fantastic!
Vickie Webb: Went in to use the computer and fax machine. Plan on checking out the job search component the next time I go in.
Tonya ShiversWyatt: Very helpful
Young Lady: Great place to receive help with job seeking or getting skills to help advance your life
Shanelle Parker: CRYSTAL LYTE && TOMMY SCOTT THE TRUTH 🙌💯
Nakia Smith: There are people all around for technical computer support, helping you with the resumès. Lots of encouraging people. Thanks Michigan Works👍💯

Michigan Works (Wayne Service Center): what do users think?
G.A Dyson: Nice clean atmosphere and very well ran. The agency does require several documentations in order to access their systems but the lady in front will explain everything you need to do. It is Well ran operation. I do appreciate all of the help that I received there.
Sarah Kupka: The people here are ill informed and change their minds about what is and isn't allowed. They don't leave much room for any grace. They will waste your time. Signage for the entrance is lacking and it's unclear where the front of the building is. This place is a time wasting pit.

Michigan Works!: what do users think?
AJ Smith: They disregard what you say and read from a script. I would rather talk to an automated phone line.
Kathy Saliba: Very patient and Louis went out of his way to help.
anthony wilson: Yes the Hindu lady was very rude to me too. I’m a road worker. The law regulates when I can work and when I have to stop. I got done with my registration quick. She told me I should find a new career so I didn’t have to depend on the government for free money. One, my company pays for unemployment and Probably pays for you to have a job. two would you rather ride to work on your camel and buggy, or have a road to drive on. As I was walking out she told me enjoy your vacation. B**** you think after killing myself for 9 months that 310 a week is a vacation. You sound stupid. She should be fired. She is rude, and is not helpful at all. One black lady was trying to figure out how to update her profile and the lady said, I don’t have time to help you, figure it out yourself. Like what that is your job. You literally sit in a building to help people with there applications to get a job. What are you even there for. You my friend should enjoy your unpaid vacation
Kristyn Smith: Just went here this morning for the first time. All the staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
harold Penna: Horrible customer service from the Hindu lady she isn't doing the job she's been given abuse and neglect of duties and I am not the only person that has been taking the neglect she had a bully attitude not just me avoid the office as she is on the clock she said she would be living in her cat if she is fired it is what it is she is doing it to herself God bless us all and safe travels to you and your family she's hateful inside and I hope she gets fired or transfer to a job that we don't have to go to Popeyes chicken is perfect for her cleaning up the bathrooms
Heather Sipple: I hope they or we can find me something. We'll this is my 3rd time, they will help me, but she is slower then the first two times, I wonder what's happening?
Corey Kirkland: All of the social workers are friendly and helpful. Lafeyette, my career coach was very helpful in my process of gaining eligibility. Sara was kind and helpful also.
ASHOK DAVE: It was good ,nice experience
Curtis Peterson: Very kind staff. Efficient and quiet.
Eric Lewis: Excellent staff and service. Everyone is always willing to assist.
Beverly Foster: Ever one help me and they answer all my questions. They are wonderful people.
Angel Patrick: I come to Michigan Work to help pay for my CNA class which is called the Wioa program. The program got started really quick. I was able to start my class after a month. After I took the class after March 28 I found out that my school doesn’t accept the debt comp card. Can only receive by check. Now It been 3 whole months I been emailing Kathleen and Sarahi no response. I just really disappointed at this point because it’s holding me back from taking my state test
James Conkright: The entire program is a joke. I still haven't been paid my unemployment from 12 weeks ago. It might not be the fault of MW but they don't help much when UIA won't pay you. This entire step of going to a MW office was a joke. You have to let them watch you login to a site that you made 2 months prior, just to verify you made a login. I don't know of any web sites that won't show you this information through the back door of the site. Having to go here for that was a huge waste of time, and it didn't help me to get my unemployment benefit.
Amy Provencal: Super friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful! I was in and out in no time!
Jennifer Willems: Very patient and helpful!
Stephen Albright: They need to disclose that the Livonia location is closed and good luck trying to talk to a human being on the phone, smh
Candy McMahon: After talking with MI unemployment they suggested that I go to a MI Works and have them help me with creating a login ID. MI Works was first going to have me call the MI Unemployment Agency. Told them I just got off the phone with them. Explained my problem again, they MI Works is having me come in Monday morning (apptment) to help me solve the problem.
Michael Laughner: Nice place
Stephanie Slaughter: Critical:Quality,ResponsivenessI can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone to help me with my benefits due to me... I can’t make an appointment because I can’t get hold of anyone..Very displeased with Michigan Works on Michigan Avenue, Wayne
Ricardo Mendoza: I spoke to a lady on the phone because I'm having issues not getting payed in 2 months and she redirected me to an answering machine who does that???... not very good at their job

michael phillips: Ian is the best he got me a amazing job i highly recommended
Pete: Ann Stojkovich found me a better opportunity than I was able to find for myself!
DeVon H: I’ve never had a problem finding employment when I go through Express. Ian was very helpful and thorough in n the recruitment process. It’s never a “take it or leave it” situation with the jobs that are available. Ian will find you a job that fits.
Kyle Szynwelski: Great place ian did a great job and was very helpful highly recommended
Aaron Mullins: Really a great place to work with, Ian Martin is who helped me and he was very professional and responsive, will definitely use them again if need be in the future

Susan Dixon: My experience with Express has been nothing less than outstanding! My recruiter Ann Stojkovich reached out to me in the second week of March, by the start of the third week I was in a new role with better pay, great hours, and an amazing work environment! She took the time to studied my resume and got me exactly what I deserved. If you’re looking for a new role or career, this is the place to do it and make sure you ask for Ann. I’m truly grateful !
Maranda Davis: Had a great phone interview with Amanda B, she was very professional, detail oriented, informative and punctual.
Dangelo howard: GREAT PLACE!! Met with Ian He was awesome! smooth process and great opportunities available
D F: Don't waste your time with this place. They're all kind during the interview, then nothing comes from it. I'll get random emails about job opportunities, respond with interest and then NOTHING. Terrible customer service.
Marshell Rader: These people are outstanding they worked with me and got me work right away fantastic very professional I recommend them to anybody
A W: Ann Stojkovich is by far one of the most amazing people to talk to! I have been so stressed out about finding employment along with other personal issues, and it was so refreshing and such a joy to speak with Ann. She is so professional and personable! Before the interview even ended, I was already feeling optimistic about my situation and looking forward to next steps. Thank you Ann!! A kind/encouraging conversation goes a long way! :)
Ben Klute: Definitely a better experience than any other recruiter / temp agency that I've worked with around here. So many of them just end up ghosting you or falling off for no stated reason when the first option doesn't work out.Ian was professional, timely, and completely communicative and transparent throughout the process. He had me matched up with the right job within one week! Great stuff.Try this place first if you're looking for work in the Ann Arbor area.
Jennifer John: I had a great experience with Ann, I found a great job with a great company. Everyone was friendly when I called the office. Overall excellent experience.
matthew clapsaddle: Lied to about the job I would be doing, when brought to the recruiters attention it seemed like it wasn’t that big of a deal. All in all wasn’t a great experience and you’re better off just finding someone who takes the time to make sure the JOB is EXACTLY what YOU are looking for.
Kaleea Harper: I had the pleasure of speaking with Ann today regarding an open job position. She was very pleasant, helpful and a joy to speak with.
Coop: They’re a great temp agency to work with finding a job that fits your needs. The staff there are very welcoming, and they even sent me a birthday card. Huge thanks to Ian for helping me along the way.
Angela M: I had my interview and have been working with Ann. She has been very professional and an absolute joy to speak with. She made me feel very comfortable during the whole process and am very confident that she will not only find me a job, but find me the best job! Thank you for all your hard work, Ann!
mez langer: Ann at Express Employment is the best! She helped me find the perfect job for my needs.
Katie Morgan: I spoke to Ann with this company and she made me feel so secure and that she was going to help me find the best job for my skill set. I recommend this company to anybody who is looking for a career and needs help finding the perfect placement.
Julie Andress: Great interview questions from the Express representative. Responsive and positive. Excellent follow-up, as well.

Michigan Works!: what do users think?
Megan Chartier: Very friendly staff and extremely helpful will go above and beyond to help you! These people actually care about you!
Mary Miral: The staff is helpful, friendly and are knowledgeable. They were willing to assist in any way possible, offering valuable information. Paul and the entire office worked together to help in any way that they could and it is appreciated!
Mary Ann: Slow go!
Smoke Weed: Claudia is very helpful and such a nice lady mi works is lucky to have her
Pamela Ellis: Exceptional service
Ima search: Aug. 2022-Everyone is helpful and seems to care. I had a bad experience a few years ago. This location is full of nice people, willing to help with what ever I needed. I have used plenty of copiers & fax machines but they are all a tiny bit different so I have to take a min or 2 to look at paper placement and which buttons are where. I didn't have to worry about that here. I didn't even ask for help but, was offered help by several different employees with different tasks around that office. Thank you, kind staff for a job well done. 👍🎉
Sarah: What a great experience! Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Anna Pilarz: Wow. What an utter waste of my time. I had to miss 2 days of work to do "testing" and drop off documents in business hours (I work full time mind you). All I was looking for was assistance in pursuing a trade apprenticeship. I was promised I would receive reimbursements for uniforms/tools and that Michigan works would cover training wages at an independent business.Well none of that was true. After weeks of going through paperwork and job searching, I was told by my case worker, Elizabeth Taylor (rude, unprofessional, no knowledge of trade) said that they couldn't help me because my job didnt meet their definition of what an "apprenticeship " should be, despite never being explicitly told that all these jobs I applied for had to meet certain criteria.Way to go, Michigan works!!
Roz Holt: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThe staff was exceptional and more than professional! This is the only location I choose to visit, the treatment I received was fantastic and I left feeling fulfilled 👍
Dozzie Lewis: They get the work done and helpful advise
Nolan: Called this office and spoke to Amanda for help getting unemployment during the Covid pandemic. I was able to speak to a real person for the first time since I applied for unemployment four months earlier, due to the utter failure of Michigan's unemployment offices to resolve issues or even contact people back. On top of that, they were actually willing and able to help me fix the problem!
judy kayonga: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Nash Blackmer: I was told I had a 1 on 1, Sat inside for the plus side of two hours. Never saw anyone. Ive called two other times, Both times they said i wold get a call back, Never did. This place is a waist of time.
David Atkinson Jr.: Awesome customer service if I've ever seen any. Especially since I wasn't even a paying customer. ;)
Adam Stratton: Even though the site was experiencing technology issues that day, I was in & out quickly considering how long some were there. It helps if you do your homework & come in needing minimum help. The women at the front desk are very knowledgeable.
Nichelle Marshall: Interesting place
David Jankowski: I had a wonderful experience with the staff at the office and on the phone. Very informative and super understanding of my situation. Very calm and polite too!
Chance Hillman: Staff not helpful!
Cara Bear: Nice staff
Nicholas Hess: Easy access into bldg. Computers are up to date with most software. No charge for printing as long as job related. Staff gets kind of ornery at times.
Leonard Treman: They will help you find menial job, they do have a job network you can register on.

Advance Employment: what do users think?
Bob Stepanovich: Terrible planning, one of the worst place's I've ever worked.
Heather Schubbe: I applied for a job through them. They gave me the address for the company they were contracted with but when I showed up, no one knew I was coming. What was supposed to happen is I was supposed to have a phone interview with the employment company. Why did they never tell me that? Why did they give me the address? Their employee Jay called me the next morning before 8:30am and began scolding me. I should have known better than to continue with them at that point. Next, I went in for a drug test and interview with the employment agency, Advance. I take adderall for ADHD, and therefore tested positive for amphetamines. They insisted I go that day to Concentra and could not go any other time. I cancelled some very important plans thinking I could have a great new job. Wrong. The next time I heard from Advance they said Absopure wanted to interview me again, ok great. It was only at that interview when I was told it was a temp to hire position. I specifically told Advance I DID NOT want a temp to hire position. The interview was almost over so I didn’t stop it. I’ve never again heard back from the agency, so I’m assuming I didn’t get the job (which I didn’t want) but still, a courtesy call would have been nice. I do recruiting myself & I ALWAYS tell someone they didn’t get the job. Completely disorganized and far from professional.
KJ Frank: I like it they find u jobs real fast
Hannah Reinert: Well, they had me quit a paying job then did not have employment set up for me and now that I have worked 2 weeks I have still have no paycheck.
Carl B: This place is a complete joke this was my first time there and they messed me over on my interview. i drove 45 minutes wasting my time and gas to go here and i filled out my Application and they gave me this bogus drug test which came that i supposently had meth in my systom. i take Ranitidine for Acid reflux and told them that there has been cases where taking a higher dosage of Ranitidine can cause a false reading. then they wanted to send me to some clinic down the street to pay 75 dollars for a blood test and drug screen i was not about to go through all of that i know ive never done drugs in my life. and the girl who took the test she had a smirk on her face when she told me about this alleged result she kept grinning so this tells me this place is shaddy and i want no part in it. dont appreciate my gas being wasted coming all the way down there just for them to BS.
Ray Bruner: 12 hour shift in Brighton is a joke your sent home half the time told to take days off due to lack of work great people a couple 12 hour shifts then that's it
Felicia Wilbert: Great company I love my job
Guillermo Maldonado: Thank you to AccessPoint in Ann Arbor for helping me land my dream job with excellent benefits. I appreciate your help. I could not have landed this without you.
Tiffany Roberson: I was very pleased with my experience at AccessPoint. It is rare to find a hiring agency that moves as quickly as they do. The staff was very polite and helpful which is always a plus. They genuinely want to help people find jobs!
Tyler: Great experience! Very friendly and helpful staff who placed me in an amazing position with good pay and tons of room for advancement. I highly recommend AccessPoint of Ann Arbor to everyone seeking employment.
Gayle Bowles: Terrible
Aaron Davis: This place is a joke. Do not go to them!
T: Do not apply here my bf is currently getting shortened checks. It's a guy and gal in the office. The guy told my bf Friday he would resolve the issue and the rest of his check will be in his account Monday. Well today is Monday my bf called up to access point and the gal over talked him and said she isn't helping and he is shortened by 300
Sade Taylor: I will never work with them again, a lot is a lie they told me I was getting 11 am gr8 and when I started working it was less. Plus if you don't wanna work at the location they send you too they power your pay to min wage.
