Dalat Restaurant: what do users think?
Raymond Sienkiewicz: Used to go there once a week in the early 00's for the Pho. Alas, my friends say it closed about 10 years ago.
Stu V: Same high quality food that was served for decades at the Yipsi location. Very authentic and full of flavor ! The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.Vegetarian options: A large selection of vegetarian dishes are available.Parking: The parking lot is large enough to accommodate the local business.Wheelchair accessibility: The resturant entrance is flat and the entire area is also flat.
Shuangyu Lei: Dalat has been my favorite pho place in Ann Arbor for years. But today they’ve decided to give our hair added pho a 15% off discount instead not charging for it.
Thieng Le: Food and service was great. Ate here twice so far. Had their Bun Bo Hue. Was great. Love the kick it should have. Had also their Pho Dac Biet, egg rolls, and wings.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5 …More
AJ: The workers here are not very customer friendly. Today I pointed out to the cashier that there was a credit card transaction fee incorrectly added to my cash transaction. She examined the receipt and merely retrieved coins from the register to refund the overcharge. There was no acknowledgment or apology given to me.By the way, practically no other restaurants here charge a credit card fee on transactions. Too unfriendly. I will not be returning.
Kevin B: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Liam Drake: I’ve had great experiences every time. The staff are on time and the food is excellent. Thank you for your Vietnamese cuisine.
Laura Thompson: Dalat Vietnamese Restaurant is worth a visit. I have been here twice. Each time I order the Phở tái nạm (Beef Noodles Soup). So delicious. Bean sprouts, lime, basil leaves and jalapeños served on a side plate to use as desired.Pho tai nam is a traditional Vietnamese beef-base rice noodles soup with medium well-done sliced beef, beef brisket topped with onions & cilantro. They have many other dishes besides the noodle soups. For lunch there are different specials as well such as Benito boxes. They offer sit down service or pick up. The staff waits on you quickly. If you pay with credit card there is a extra charge. When paying in cash they will discount the bill given to you.
Sarkis Balanjian: Ordered the pho through Grubhub, the taste was not too bad but it definitely gave me food poisoning, been throwing up ever since and having fever
Annie H: Was feeling a little under the weather, the #11 beef pho was exactly what I needed!

VKitchen: what do users think?
miles fitzpatrick: I had the Vermacelli combo bowl. Notice this is served with a fried egg!! Great twist on lunch that I wasn’t expecting - so, I ordered a second fried egg!! Soft drinks are served in an old fashioned mason jar!! Attention to detail right down to the chandelier!! Service during lunch hour was under 10 minutes!!!!! DELICIOUS VIET NAMESE CUISINE!!!! Make sure to pay them a visit next time you’re in Ann Arbor Michigan.
Charles Carlson: Tasty.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Vermicelli with Shrimp Pork and Egg Roll …More
Libby: by far best restaurant in all of Ann arbor. get egg rolls & garlic noodles with pork and thank me later. staff knows us and has our orders ready second we sit down. fastest and best service ever. unbeatable! 🏼 🏼
Sascha Helene: So many vegetarian options!! And the food is delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lauren Graves: I was pleasantly surprised by this place! They have a great selection including a variety of vegan dishes and plenty of classics, and the prices seem fair to me. I tried the chicken banh mi combo that came with a spring roll and I was super happy with everything on my plate. However, my husband’s shrimp fried rice was quite bland. We typically love Vietnamese fried rice so this was disappointing. But all in all, worth a visit.
Kyle Huxley: Called up for 4 egg rolls I was charged $17 they were greasy on top of that! Will not return ! Ridiculous I could of had a whole meal plus elsewhere 😡 then they were asking for help and to pay with cash ! As if I don’t know what that meansParking: Plenty of parking
Adriana G: I ordered chicken pho and vegan spring rolls. The chicken was incredibly dry and had no flavor. I was also charged $9 for the spring rolls, when the menu has them listed for $6. This was a one and done experience for me, unfortunately.
Jin-hyuk Yu: Delicious food and taste. Vermicelli combo had an interesting taste and the Vietnamese coffee was so tasty.
Rick Haden: We have eaten here a few times in recent years. The quality of the food has been on a steady decline. The prices have been on a steady climb up and the portion size is easily 1/3 less than our first meals there. Last night our friend ordered a meal that was simply not eatable. We won’t return again, there are just too many other options to waste our time and money here. Too bad, as originally the meals there were good.
Madison Cabuag: I placed an order online and went to pick it up. When I walked in there were people dining but no one in the front part of the restaurant. I wanted to order a drink as the options online were limited and don’t lost all the item on their menu. I waiting but no one came out so I took my food and left. I’m sure they were short staffed as it was a slow Sunday afternoon. I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items. The spring roll was great with the peanut sauce. And the banh mi was good as well but a bit dry. The pickled veggies weren’t very pickly. And there was just a single sprig on cilantro that was all stem.
Joanna Lesher: I basically never write a review unprompted, but I was so impressed with this place. We stumbled across it kind of randomly and noticed that it had a lot of vegan options, so we decided to give it a try. Waitstaff was super friendly and FAST. We were really shocked (in a good way!) by how fast someone came to take our order, how fast the food came, how fast we got the check, etc. Ss advertised, there were a lot of vegan options—I got the vegan spring rolls and the sriracha tofu, both of which were tasty. I didn’t know this place existed until tonight but will definitely go there again!!Vegetarian options: Way more vegan options than I’m used to seeing at a non-vegetarian restaurant! I felt very spoiled 😊
Albert L: Not sure why other people are complaining. I had Taro Sticky Rice, Pho, and Shrimp spring rolls. All very good.
Bethany Cardona: ordered through Postmates. food was still hot at arrival. egg rolls are incredible, some of the best I've ever had. bahn mis are delicious. perfect bread. got the shrimp pho and it was just ok. 6 shrimp, rice noodles, not enough side veggies and the basil was brown. broth was good though.
Soccerbus8: The service here was extremely poor. We walked in and the guy was just sitting there on his phone, only taking our order after calling him over twice. The food was not very good either, with the chef getting our order done wrong the first time. We waited for another 15 minutes and the food finally came back. The waiter, who was probably the owner of the place, didn't even apologize and went back to sit on his phone. every time we needed him we had to call him over a couple of times. The food wasn't cheap either, considering how disgusting the food was.
Ryan Gagliano: Yum yum yum pho in my tum tum
Pennie Bailey: Drove all the way from Canton on a lunch break just to be told they don’t have what the online menu says they have.Definitely will never return.
Mac Wiltzer: Great egg rolls and Vietnamese sandwich (banh mi) with pork - tasty and spicy. Service is always good here.
Leanne Ma: Really good food, casual and comfortable spot. The coconut drink (I think it's called coconut juice) has pieces of coconut meat in it, absolutely delicious. My favorite dish is the vermicelli with lemongrass tofu. It's light and refreshing, really good on a warm day.
Ajit Rozario: Simple, fast, and good. We’ll be back.
Rudra Sen: Very clean and chic setting. Not your typical Asian diner with dated decor. Menu has good selections as well. It's 4 stars only because they don't serve any alcohol.Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes …More
Patrick: Had the kitchen pho. Everything was perfect. If you like sweet drinks try an ice Vietnamese coffee

Alejandro Pancardo: The food was awful. I have never eaten pho so bare. They just gave me soup, noodles, and 3 slices of meat. When the guy brought me the food, he just gave a small piece of lime. It was smaller than the spoon. No vegetables, no taste in the soup. The soup was half of the bowl. It wasn't even full. Just a few noodles, I was able to see the bottom of the bowl because there weren't enough noodles. This is the first time that I see in a Vietnamese restaurant pho with the soup, noodles, and meat coming separately. I ordered a summer roll with shrimp, and the roll just had 2 shrimps, and the rolls were pre made. They had them in a box wrapped. By the way, when I tried to take them out from the box, the plastoc wrap stuck to the paper. I felt so disappointed because I drove until downtown to eat something really bad. I could have spent my money in something different around or in a different Vietnamese place. It was a nightmare. Pho was 11 dollars, and the roll 5 dollars
Sarah Bartlett: I work nearby and have to stop myself from ordering the beef bahn mi every day. Delicious! Staff is top notch as well.
Mariko Ito: A small, chic viet shop in a pretty convenient location!Pros:Friendly employeesFast serviceAffordableGood optionsIt’s not the best Banh mi I’ve had in Ann Arbor (RIP belly deli) but it’s the most accessible!!I got the vegetarian banh mi and it was delicious! Lots of flavor and really filling. Can’t wait to come back!
Harry Zhen: If you are looking for a great sandwhich in Ann Arbor, Ginger Deli's banh mi is an absolute must. The pancetta banh mi is my go to for lunch and it's only around $8! The baguette is perfectly toasted so there is a crunchy exterior, yet still soft enough that you aren't destroying the roof of your mouth. The pancetta, garlic aioli sauce, pickled veggies, jalapeño and cilantro all compliment each other creating a flavor packed delicious sandwhich. Highly recommend Ginger Deli for their banh mi!
Bethany Cardona: I've only had the bahn mi, but dang is it an amazing bahn mi
Candice Wilson: The pancetta bahn mi is absolutely incredible. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Really excellent lunch spot!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes …More
Bak Lava: I would say it is not authentic, but it tastes great and the staffs are super nice. Recommend the pork sandwiches.Recommended dishes Beef Pho, Pork Sandwich …More
Carter Starr (Carter Starr): Portion sizes were very small. My expectations were different from what it ended up being, vermicelli bowl was something made earlier in the day, not made fresh. The pork was really dry and the spring roll was cold and chewy. Haven’t tried anything else so can’t speak on that, but was disappointing, as it wasn’t cheap, and the food was mediocre and small
Kevin Kou: ~$13 for ~2oz of beef and watered-down broth.. I'm disappointed. Maybe it was shrinkflation, or that I arrived at 3pm and too many people ordered the pho before I did during the lunch rush, but I think I'll just stick with the banh mi from now on (which is pretty good). Also, it doesn't come with basil/bean sprouts/peppers.The staff and decor are nice, but it's 3 stars purely on the quality of pho.
Charlotte Wilson: Best banh mi in town - both the chicken and pork are wonderful.
Krupa KP: Tofu bahn mi was too tangy, and not enough protein in it except 2 slices of Tofu. Size is nice and large for lunch. Nice staff.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jules G: I get the pho regularly and it truly is like medicine. Their broth is the richest I've had in the area. If I ever started to feel a cold coming on, legit, I get Ginger Deli Pho and feel better! Not to me tonight the owner is a wonderful human and the staff are also so sweet and lovely to chat with. Love this place so much and I'm so grateful they're a part of thus community!
Claudia Fontanez: Ok, so I don't normally give such a low review but to be quite frank this was by far the WORST phó I have ever had and I've been eating phó for a VERY long time.I give credit where credit is deserved and here the only credit they deserve is the pleasantly simple atmosphere and the seating outside. Now the service was 😐neutral. No bathrooms anywhere I turned to look. Now, food. The broth was Decent but the noodles and the beef tasted like cardboard. The noodles mushed up in our mouths and it just didn't have the rice noodle texture phó noodles are like. No bean sprouts, no basil no side of lime they just threw a pice of lime in my broth. So disappointing and had it been a different setup I would have asked for a refund and I NEVER do that. On a brighter note the bhan mi seems to be popular, maybe I should've tried that. Smh.
Max Futernick: Holy bajeebus! I am so happy to finally be able to review Ginger Deli's storefront operation. Many moons ago, I was able to grab a tasty banh mi from their old location off of Liberty. Then came Covid, halting their relocation and putting a serious dent in my ability to quench cravings for yummy Vietnamese. I moved away for a year, came back, yada yada yada and just assumed my dream would never come to fruition.Today I was walking by Liberty on my way downtown and caught a sandwich out of the corner my eye. I knew immediately what it must be and abandoned what I was doing to fulfill my carnal desire for yummy tofu, pickled goodness, fresh bread and tasty aoili.WORTH THE WAIT - service was beyond exceptional, the sammy was reasonably priced, fresh, on point, delicious, alllllll the words. I'd have taken a picture but I ate it on my walk home and destroyed the evidence. So glad to see this spot back in action - see you every week for the rest of my life.Love,MaxEdit: added pic from this weeks edition, now feature “extra everything” - slapped even harder
Emily Tsai: Had vegi pho and I think it taste good!
Anita Arora: I was grateful for the opportunity to check out Ginger Deli yesterday. The staff was very friendly. The food was fantastic; we tried the papaya salad, rolls and shrimp chips, with various yummy sauces. Always happy to see gluten free and healthy options :)Am friends with the owner; he is a hard working, talented and sincere guy. I loved seeing his artistic side coming through in the design and drawings, and all his dedication come to fruition.
Mae Koral: I thought the bahn mi was pretty good and the pho was okay. You have to specially request Sriracha, hoisin, and lime and it comes with no bean sprouts.
Emily Powers: Amazing service with friendly servers and employees! The crunchy spring rolls, regular spring rolls, shrimp chips (which were a complimentary gift), and beef pho were so good. Will definitely be returning.
Christian Ghoubrial: Very good pho, just a small portion
Carli Fine: My "vegan" Bahn Mi was filled with chicken on both sides of the bread touching all the tofu. Tried to call but phones are disconnected.Edit: management reached out to apologize and offered a free sandwich. Haven't taken them up on it but it seems that they have strong customer service and that this was a fluke.
