Tom Wille: My now wife and I hired Kaeli and Luna Soiree in the spring of 2021 to plan our 2022 summer wedding. We were very hands-on when it came to initial planning as well as finding our vendors, and only reached out to Kaeli to help answer some questions and guide us through what needed to be done. She typically responded very slowly to our questions and directly caused us to miss out on our #1 DJ choice.She continued to ask for grace and patience because they were dealing with their busiest wedding season ever, which we completely understood. However, in the fall (our wedding was the next July), we sent her an email asking about catering and save-the-date cards. At this time, Kaeli informed us that she would need to put our wedding planning on hold until the spring to focus on her other clients and weddings. This was very surprising - we had just wanted a few answers to our questions and we felt it was the least we should expect from our planner. We also knew that we could not hold off on planning our July wedding until the springtime.We let Kaeli know, respectfully, that we would want to seek the services of another wedding planner that could better meet our needs. Kaeli performed an estimate of 6 hours of work - an initial planning meeting and several emails. We tried to handle this as amicably as possible, but from this point on, over e-mail and on the phone, Kaeli was extremely unprofessional. I have been a small business owner for 12 years, and I would never treat an unhappy client the way that Kaeli treated us.She declined to give any of the same grace to us that she expected as our wedding planner and refused to give any of our money back. From our perspective, Kaeli is someone who operates with poor business ethics. Luckily for us, we then quickly found a fantastic wedding planner (for less money than Kaeli charges) and couldn’t have been happier with their service and how our wedding turned out!

In 2021, who would have though wedding planning and this industry would become one of the most demanding, time consuming and at times a thankless profession. 2021 Brides dealt with not getting vendors they wanted due to 2020 cancellations, higher prices, and understanding that at times others getting married earlier in the year took priority over us. These are the current times we live in and discussing this with Kaeli was so incredibly important. Kaeli and her team at Luna Soiree Events took this completely unexpected year and planned the most perfect, stunning, beautiful and amazing wedding my husband and I could have ever asked for. Throughout our year of planning, she was there every step of the way, from unexpected vendor changes, design updates and changing guest count. She was a confidant, designer, planner, and became a wonderful friend. Kaeli went the extra mile to get to know my husband and I, our preferences and what meant the most to us. Getting married the weekend before Thanksgiving this year was no easy feat especially around the holidays. Her communication with our vendors was stellar and put my mother at ease the entire wedding weekend. I cannot thank her enough for planning the day I have dreamed of since I was a child. I will be recommending her services to future brides and so look forward to look back on the most memorable day knowing how exquisitely it was planned.

william johnson: STAY AWAY!!!! The owner of this company is a joke. I initially reached out to Kaeli on a Saturday by phone, which was the contact information listed on the website. I caught her at a bad time, as she informed me she was heading out the door to a baby shower (no big deal, people have lives, it was a weekend). Even so, she did take the time to briefly discuss services offered and asked a few questions regarding venue, timeline, etc, and asked me to send a follow up email including those details, which I did minutes after ending the call. After a week, I still had not received a reply, so I re-sent the email. Eventually, we received an email from Christina asking us to complete an online questionnaire asking all of the same information already provided in the 2 emails previously sent. But whatever, we did it anyway. Finally, Kaeli then reached out to set up a call to discuss things at length. The discussion was productive, we expressed interest in moving forward and felt very positive about everything. She said she’d send a proposal via email within 5-7 days. 3 weeks later we hadn’t received any correspondence from Kaeli or anyone from the office. We then sent another follow up email asking when we can expect said proposal to which she replied she would send if we were interested in moving forward. She also said she hadn’t gotten around to it because of the holidays. Mind you, we had our call with her 2 weeks before thanksgiving. At this point we became very frustrated and disappointed as it became quite clear this arrangement was not going to work. This lady has an excuse for everything. She is a wedding planner in name only because she certainly lacks the requisite credentials and ability to be taken seriously. Kaeli, I strongly recommend you leave it to the professionals.

Nicole Mark: Hiring Kaeli was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process- besides deciding to get married, of course! My only regret is not hiring her sooner!!! We hired Luna Soiree for day-of services and could not have been happier. She assisted us even with our tight timeline, gave valuable input and tips, helped us find a couple of last minute vendors and assisted with our rehearsal. She made our day SO easy and stress free and we would not have been able to enjoy ourselves as much as we did if she wasn't there to make everything as seamless as possible. With Kaeli leading the way, they planned a wedding weekend that was creative, incredibly beautiful and meaningful to my daughter, son-in-law, and all of us. My wife and I provided feedback when asked, but mostly were able to sit back and enjoy the planning process and the weekend itself because Kaeli and her team were on top of everything and made it run smoothly.Kaeli provided a comprehensive timeline, planning out the entire weekend down to the minute, which was so helpful to a detail-oriented person like me. And more importantly than that, the wedding was stunningly beautiful. Kaeli really brought the beauty and creativity to the rehearsal dinner at Vinology and the wedding at Planterra. She designed and created the entire rehearsal dinner from start to finish and worked seamlessly and tirelessly with Planterra's design team on the ceremony area, the reception area, the dance area, and the dinner area. This was my first of my children to get married and I was really nervous about how everything would turn out. I shouldn't have been. I was blown away! Everyone I talked to expressed how much they enjoyed the whole wedding weekend and were quick to point out that it was hands down the best wedding they had ever attended.The credit for this wonderful wedding belongs to Kaeli Garcia and the Luna Soiree team. I recommend Kaeli so highly as a person, as an extremely competent wedding designer, who creates and brings beauty and uniqueness to each of her events, and as someone who will end up feeling like a friend to the bride, groom, and their families by the time the weekend is over.

Jackie Madison: Our wedding presented significant challenges, and Kaeli/Luna Soiree Events totally rose to the occasion to pull off a beautifully executed weekend of events. We hired Kaeli to help literally build our wedding venue. I always wanted my wedding to be held at my family's summer home, but to accommodate over 200 guests, this meant creating a venue in a field with no electricity, running water, or cell phone service on a historical property 3 hours from Ann Arbor. Saying this presented challenging logistics is putting it mildly!Despite the daunting task, Kaeli worked with us and our families to combine our designs and keep us on time in planning a beachside welcome dinner for all guests, the wedding ceremony and reception, and brunch the next day. She connected us with some of our most significant vendors (band, photographer, rentals) in addition to working with local vendors we hired ourselves (caterers, florists, bathrooms, transportation).Kaeli and her team really impressed us in the weeks prior to and weekend of the wedding. She gave us detailed itineraries to make sure there was a plan for all deliveries, set-ups, and events. This helped coordinate deliveries from all over the state of Michigan. When hiccups occurred, even major ones like a storm delaying installation or the tent company bringing the wrong tents 2 days before the wedding, she worked with us and the vendors to troubleshoot and managed many issues without even bothering us; she always maintained her calm professionalism and sense of humor. She worked through the night and did so with the general exuberance she brings to all activities. By the time of our welcome dinner, everything looked perfect and we knew that the wedding would be equally gorgeous the next day. I couldn't believe how beautiful our reception tent and ceremony site looked! Kaeli also succeeded in making the wedding a great experience for guests, too, who had no clue of any of the challenges we faced, and a year later describe the wedding as "legendary." I'm really not sure how we would have accomplished this event without her.My advice to others is to be realistic about how much help you will need (in our case a lot!), and if you are looking for a beautiful event, a planner who will stand up for you if a challenge occurs, and a great experience for you and your guests, then hire Luna Soiree Events.

Erica Jenkins: Kaeli is hands down one of the most talented and professional people I've ever met. I started the wedding planning process without a very clear vision. I had a sense of what I wanted, but had the hardest time articulating it. Kaeli is truly an expert at her craft; she pinpointed my EXACT style and brought my blurry ideas to life. Kaeli has the most incredible connections in the wedding industry (I swear, she knows everyone!) and I found her advice to be incredibly helpful. She approaches her work with kindness, honesty, and a touch of humor (which is perfect on what could be a very stressful day!). From selecting the floral arrangements, to finding the perfect photographer, Kaeli was there for every meeting. Everything about the day and the planning process, from start to finish, was absolutely perfect. A year later, our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful the ceremony and reception were! My husband and I can't thank Kaeli and the Luna Soiree team enough for making our wedding dreams come true. I highly recommend Luna Soiree for your wedding and event planning needs!

Iris Nguyen: I had very high hopes working with Kaeli, but I unfortunately would not recommend her based on our day-of experience. She sent us an invoice the day before the wedding and charged us 30% over our initial contract and said the payment needed to be completed before wedding day setup. During the wedding, she handled and broke one of our décor items (worth $300) and did not tell us about it until I inquired about it the day after the wedding – she also refused to compensate us for the item. She was responsible for coordinating with our venue for setup and there were not enough chairs for our guests during the ceremony and our head table was also one seat short. Finally, after giving her feedback about our experience, she stated extra charges and labor were on the invoice due to my “indecision” and she asked us not to post a negative review in exchange for her refunding us $300 (less than a 1/3 of her additional, day-before invoice). She was never asked to put in additional hours and took it upon herself to draft a seating chart two months before the wedding when we had no idea what our actual guest count would be. While there were pieces of the wedding that went smoothly, Kaeli lacked the professionalism and communication needed to make this a positive experience. Needless to say, we did not accept her offer and wanted to post this in hopes of preventing anything like this from happening again – we would never want anyone to go through what we went through.

Camran Wilson: Kaeli and Micayla did an unbelievable job with our wedding. We could not have asked for anything more. Aside from being exceptional event planners, they are also terrific people to work with. Every single detail was addressed, and every issue in the planning process was handled quickly and with the utmost care. I'm sure there are other good planners out there, but I certainly can't imagine anyone better. We could not have been happier with them.

Our desire to work with someone who was LGBT-affirming and inclusive was paramount, and any worry we had about finding vendors who were also inclusive were put to rest when Kaeli found us a selection of professionals who were not only totally on-board with our Big Fat Greek Lesbian Wedding but also really talented! We highly recommend booking them to bring together all the details and to orchestrate the best day of both of our lives.
