Jagged Fork: what do users think?
hussam al: You need to tell people that 18% gratuity is mandatory and included in the bill. The waitress brought me the credit card machine to pay without showing the bill and the machine asked for a tip so I included a tip and after I left I realized that the tip was already included and I ended paying tips twice! That’s deceiving!Note: if the service was good I won’t be that much upset but to be honest it is still deceiving
James Anderson: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Mai N: The food was good. The waitress was kinda rude to us. They ask us for the payment without showing the receipt I paid and I didn't realize that 18% tip was auto included so I tipped her (although the service was bad) So now I tipped someone almost 32% for a bad serviceFood: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Cheryl Stafford: The service was phenomenal. We had a 3 hr wait before my grandson basketball at the coliseu. One of the coaches decide we could walk and get breakfast since they had driven in from GrandRapids that morning and played earlier at 11. We more met by one of the employees who cheerfully asked where we coming there. When we said yes, they found space for the team and parents. The food was exceptional and the service was terrific. Not everyone is warm and welcoming when they see a large crowd, not here. Thank you all for a great time and superb food.
karmen johnson: Kid-friendliness: We brought our aau team in between games because we had a 3 hr gap and they had the best hospitality! They greeted us at the door and was glad to have us even as a big group with kids and took excellent care of us.
A Lew: Our server was great but the food was just ok. Nothing really stood out…
Anja Fossheim: Server was outstanding! the rest was "Meh.."Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Ryan Atkins: The service was phenomenal and the food was good but the owner? I think it was (Angelo is his name) was the issue with the day. I needed to do a bridal shower brunch for my soon to be wife and called multiple places 2 months prior to make reservations. Jagged Fork stated they don't do reservations but assured us they could accommodate our party as long as someone shows up roughly an hour early. We did have 3 of the 20 there an hour early and waited at the bar. As soon as the rest of the party arrived Angelo was very pushy and NOT accommodating like previously told. Right after we received our food he was talking to my wife and I trying to rush us out. Now I grew up in the service industry, so I understand flipping tables, BUT there were 2 open tables and no one at the door waiting, so they had seating if someone needed it. Still being rushed out by Angelo until we left. Definitely don't recommend this Jagged Fork, especially if you're not a regular, Angelo seemed to cater to a few guests, which seemed to be regulars.
Lauren Gerrity: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Kevin B: Food: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
H F: Our daughter brought us. The food was excellent. Decent portions. The service was very good. Angelo (owner) was friendly. I enjoyed chatting with him.My complaint: need better coffee beans and drop the 18% mandatory tips.In summary, this is my new breakfast place.Definitely, no more Zola Cafe
Yuhui Lai: The attitude do their staff was bad af. I was trying to ask some questions on the phone, and they just hang up without even finish listening to my questions. Terrible service, definitely wouldn’t go there.
Jay Roberts: They force a take out fee
Che Foster: Mediocre overpriced food, rushed service and constant reminders to refill beverages. Oh and the added 18% gratuity to the bill prior to me knowing I might add brought my total bill to $62.78. As a party of 2 we had an omelet, coffee, mimosa, sprite and a cheese hamburger?? Adding injury too insult, when I paid I had the option to leave ANOTHER tip on top of the mandatory 18%. Really?? The best thing about the visit was the cream cheese on top of the wife's red velvet pancakes(not fluffy) and my French fries which says enough unto itself. I've been in the hospitality industry at a high level for over 25 years, there's nothing worse than feeling you've gotten gouged especially for mediocre food. Will not be back, which is sad because this was our first time. I also noticed there aren't ANY replies from ownership/management addressing the many similar complaints in these reviews. That should tell you enough about this scam of a restaurant and the people running it.
Kvaujin: Service was good, food tasted good... hygiene was questionable. No one cleaned or steamed out the steaming wand on the espresso machine or the steaming pitchers, ice bin was uncovered, and I saw a server do something on his phone and then, without washing his hands, reach into a glass to take ice out of an iced latte. Since this was in plain sight, makes me wonder what hygiene is like in the kitchen where we can't see.
Irene Yoon: I stopped in for Saturday morning brunch with my cousin today and was looking forward to my first meal in Ann Arbor. It was packed with a wait about 35 minutes at around 10:45am.The positives: The hostess couldn’t have been nicer even with the morning rush. I got the Voodoo Benedict which was delish and had a spicy kick which I loved. My cousin ordered the corned beef hash skillet which she thought was pretty good. Big portions so she was able to take half of it as leftovers. The not-so-positives: We were seated, ordering food took a few minutes, but again it was busy so it was no big deal. However, when our food was taking longer than the other tables around us that had been seated after us, I checked in with our waiter, Daniel, by asking if he would check in on our order. He promptly and condescendingly responded that he had just seen the food “with his own eyes” and that it was coming as though I didn’t believe him. I thought his condescending tone was weird but moved past it. I completely understand that he can’t control how fast the kitchen works. A simple “It’ll be out in just a second, thanks so much for your patience!” would’ve sufficed. Then, when he delivered my plate, he slid it across the table like a frisbee, no eye contact, no comment about the wait and sashayed away. I was overall pretty disappointed with this experience. If I was back in town, I would give the Jagged Fork another shot for the food and the super sweet owner, but unfortunately, not for Daniel.
Joggo: I was not informed about the gratuity fee that was placed into my bill. The food was alright and the service was sufficient. Great for brunch, but wouldn't come back often.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes …More
Josh: Foods great, but just make sure to check your bags for carryout(like most places)Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5 …More
Chris Gomez: Pros: quality food, well prepared, big portions, friendly staff.Cons: forced 18% gratuity for dine-in customers was a surprise. When cashing out, the server has a handheld device where you pay with credit card. As you follow the prompts, it asks for tip %, which we happily left 20%. However, upon inspecting the receipt, we realized there was an additional 18% gratuity added for dining in. Felt deceived, there were no signs that I could see that warned of this. Also, food took over 25 minutes.
Khurram Rehman: The omelets, hash browns, and pancakes are amazing! The red velvet pancakes are great and they give plenty of hash browns.Parking: There are parking structures nearby and you can park on the roads west and east of the restaurant.
Yiqi Li: Great portion. You can upgrade the side pancakes to special pancakes for only $2 (I upgraded mine to fruit explosion pancakes and loved them). The only problem is this place is too popular and you need to get here early in the morning to get a table.
