Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital: what do users think?
Amanda: This hospital and the staff deserve zero stars but I have to give at least one to write a review. This is the by far the worst place I have ever dealt with! I personally chose this hospital for how advanced they are but that means nothing if they don’t do their jobs. They are unprofessional, rushed, absolutely no bedside manners, and spend more time laughing with their coworkers then actually treating you. I have been seen multiple times throughout my first pregnancy for multiple issues and each time I have been completely disregarded. They are fast to pump you with fluids and some medication to shut you up but have no issues seeing you back in 3 days to repeat. Don’t expect a diagnosis!! They will let you sit in pain. This hospital is all about their money $$!They are training lots of new people and it appears nobody knows what is even going on in there, save yourself time, money and pain and go to a different hospital so you can be cared for like an actual human.
Wendy Willauer: Dr. Fenner is so awesome she makes you feel like you've known her forever she is a Dr. that actually listens to you when you talk to her very personable excellent bedside. I just love her and would recommend her to all women having female issues. The nurses and the surgical team were very pleasant and helpful I had a very pleasant experience. I am heading back for another surgery and hope to have the same experience 😁
Stephanie Davis: I was born qt this hospital of course before the updates and things but things are always changing. I have most of all health care needs as a child with them. When I became and adult I left but quickly came back . I have had two kids here. My daughter did a week in there Nicuand my Son is doing his time now. I am High risk for many different reason and I wouldn't go anywhere else for the care of my children. Love this place. Yes I have had a few not so good help but more good then Bad and that's what I look at because anywhere you go in life there will be good and bad but which one out ways the other.?
Sarah Dettloff: I had a natural birth in a tub of water at the hospital and baby and i were happy and healthy. The midwives were great but everything else was a really bad experience. People kept coming in the room trying to give me an epidural when i told them i didn't want it. After the birth they told me i had to stay the night. The morning i was packed and ready to go. They said i had to stay one more night because they wanted to monitor my babys weight. We were nursing on a regular basis and despite this they kept trying to give her formula and make me pump. Her weight was totally normal. I told them i was leaving. They threatened calling security. Said I didn't want to do that. Said i was putting the baby at risk. I told them i was not asking their permission. We are both happy, healthy and going home now. We were there two days and nights against my will for no reason. My baby is nursing and gaining weight and we are going home. Get your paperwork ready. The nurse came back in after crying and told me she was so sorry for the way they were treating us. That she knew the way things are at the hospital are so wrong and she was just so sorry and she got a midwife. I told her what was happening and she got my paperwork and cut off the bands and got us out.Went to my pediatrician next day for routine measurements and she was shocked at their behavior and said the baby's weight was totally normal and she was nursing so well. Never again. Good luck to all you mothers out there. I am almost convinced they were trying to make me stay longer to charge my insurance more.
Chloe: Doctor pleasant is the BEST doctor, amazing bedside manner, very caring and smart. Love her.
David Miller: Deleted my post.Disrespectful and super unprofessional.Didn’t know what rooms were able to hook up baby monitors and machines.Treated my wife like her pain and discomfort wasn’t important and didn’t matter.Constantly moved us room to room, then not move us rooms because reasons.Wife can’t even make it to the bathroom, our unborn child’s heart rate is constantly dropping every other half hour, and she’s crying in pain yet that’s “progress”Worst hospital experience by far. Will not be coming back the rest of this pregnancy or for another pregnancy.Period.Also they deleted my last review so that should say something to their integrity and professionalism.
Jacob Rowden: The term gold standard does not do justice to this institution. The combination of brilliant scientists, researchers, and practitioners provides a level of knowledge unavailable to most of the world, and largely compassionate and ethically-minded staff at every level makes your experience here significantly better than it would be at a typical hospital. I saw these teams perform miracles, and I do not use that word lightly. I was so impressed and grateful at their level of care, that despite having attended university at another Big Ten school, any contributions I make towards a university for the remainder of my life will be going to this hospital. Thank you U of M.
Mrs. K Berry: I gave birth to my 2nd daughter here. The medical staff and physicians were kind, knowledgeable and understanding. Rooms were clean and properly stocked. The even had a gaming system in our room in labor & delivery. The reason I had to give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they're either understaffed or just overwhelmed at night. The experience in the daytime versus after hours is much different. Takes the nurses and staff much, much longer to respond to patient requests/needs and I had to ask for simple things like water several times before I received it. The food in general was pretty terrible as well, but it's a hospital so my expectations weren't high. Overall, my experience/overnight stay was great and I would recommend this hospital.
Soadia Santos Bacarin (Sol): Very nice place, people so gentle. Thank you!
Kathy Whaib: Delivered my first son with great care and amazing nurses. My hubby drove an hour just to deliver my first baby in this hospital. Regardless of the emergency situations I went though in labor, I felt nothing but lucky to have this incredible experience as a first delivery. Great team, high quality service.......... 2 months later after writing the great review, (had to edit my review) Sadly I came to find out that the team actually fractured my baby's collarbone. I spoke too fast. Really really disappointed.
Melanee Baka: 10/10 recommend! I had to switch to high risk at 18 weeks with my 2nd son in 2017/2018. They took me in with open arms. Treated me like family. Always checked on me with my issues. I was induced a week early and my doctor was by my side the whole time! Now I'm pregnant again(high risk again with same issues) and still making the 2 hour drive to see the amazing team here! They listen to all my issues and get me the help and attention I need in a very timely manner!
Alyssa Klein: I rarely write Google Reviews, but I felt like this one was need. Three weeks ago, I called U of M MFM because of an issue pertaining to a high risk pregnancy. I told them I didn't have a lot of time, but they could only schedule me for two weeks out. I'm like kay, I guess I'll have to deal with it. On the appointment day, that was just a 30 minute intake over the phone, the nurse who was assigned to me was not friendly and had attitude. After the intake, the nurse told me that she had to put me on hold, and for me to wait for U of M to schedule me. I waited and waited, but I had told the nurse that I had another doctor's appointment before. So I had to hang up and could not be on hold. Good thing I had another appointment with Henry Ford MFM, because then I find out I dilated and had to be rushed to emergency to save my babies. Furthermore, I called back to the MFM office to give them a friendly update on what happened, and the lady that answered the phone didn't seem to care. She asked me if I was transferring records there, and I said no, the surgery is already completed, I just wanted to let you know what happened. She asks," So you'll just like to cancel, I said yes. Then she said smartly, " Oh, I didn't now what you had met". If you work in a MFM or any type of clinic, work on customer service skills and having compassion for your patients. Your staff represents U of M.P. S. I avoided using names in this post because I feel like with a compliant, maybe people need a second chance.
Zhenna DeBenedet: 10/10 do not reccomend delivering here if you want a natural.birth, even if you go with the midwives.I was lied and manipulated. they were impatient and were continuously looking for problems. I went through 3 different midwife/nurse teams. the two stars is because for the most part the staff were nice but I do not believe they communicated well with eachother at shift changes.again, I just want to leave this review so that if youre debating, I highly recommend not using this hospital. after my experience here I will never willingly deliver in a hospital.they lied about how much blood I was loosing and promised things and didnt follow through multiple times. their monitors for babys heart rate do not work unless someone is constantly holding it to your body.one women said to me "yeah, me doing this with my hands wont really help you deliver any faster" and continued to finger with my vaginia for several hours? so what are you doing then?...do not reccomend. bring a doula if you do.
Crystal Cannon: Mom365 is taking advantage of new moms in this hospital. THey come in tryin to sell you a photo package for $150.00. Their product is not worth it but there is no way for Moms to know until it is too late because they email the photos to you a few weeks later. Also, when new mothers are in the hospital, it is annoying to have salesmen coming into their rooms trying to sell them products. If they don't leave right away, you are very uncomfortable and they keep coming back until you feel obligated to purchase their product just to get rid of them!
Maureen Welch: Long waits, indifferent providers. I'm changing clinics.
Samantha Havro: Apparently they only have one operating room because an emergency patient came and they took her in here instead or er. Didn't get out for 10 hours for a 1 1/2 hour surgery. How disappointing this hospital is.
Fallen Angel: I am not very happy with this place at all. Thanks for messing up my hair(it was very long, thick with curls)..it had so many snarls, knots to the point where I had to see a salon professional. Even they couldn't fix it! The nurses didn't even offer to brush out my hair!
RayRay P: Can't say enough good things about the level of care we received at this hospital. The nursing staff was great coaching me through a long and painful labor. We received constant attention throughout. Loved the birth tub (you do have to ask for a room with a tub; it isn't guaranteed). After our baby was born we were visited by a series of specialists and nursing staff. Super impressed and would highly recommend to any momma-to-be!
Matthew “Memes are gr8” Hubbard: They want to force birth control pills down your throat for anything. I have excruciating pain with periods and they offered me birth control for pain and no periods and i politely said no. No matter what i say they just keep pushing. I read all of the bad side effects and heard not only my friends stories but my sisters too about how they were on it and how many problems they have caused. No matter what i told them they deny that any of their stories were real. By the way birth control does not stop periods it makes them worse and makes you fertile.
Carmen Weeder: This is a wonderful practice for disabled and challenged individuals!
Madaline McQueen: My son was born here in November of 2018. His heart rate was dropping so I was rushed for a emergency C-section. All of the staff was very professional & helpful. My son was born with low blood sugar & stayed a week in the NICU. Although it was the scariest moments of my life the hospital did a wonderful job managing my sons health. I highly recommend this hospital.

Briarwood Center for Women, Children and Young Adults: what do users think?
Colleen Johnson: Took my child there TWICE and the next day I’m at ER with my child because this place CLEARLY is not equipped to properly diagnose a child when they’re sick! The longer we have been going to this location the more I feel the care has gotten worse and he is treated just like a number. NO PERSONAL CARE, follow up, waste of time taking your child here!
brett hanson: I didn’t like how the doctor asked me to leave the room to ask my daughter if she likes boys or girls. She’s 12. And not dating. I’m really tired of this question being asked. Your the doctor, not the parent, stay in your lane!
Cara LaCourse: Staff are nice but we are waiting 30+ minutes for the Dr to come in at every visit. It's hard to keep small children happy for that long and it feels disrespectful of our time for this to consistently be an issue
Deep Singh: We've been going to this clinic for many years. Our experience with the doctors, nurses and staff has been great. We really want to thank everyone at this clinic for taking care of patients and their families in the best way possible. Current times especially have been tough and you guys are doing great. On that note, we would also like to share that our most recent experience with the doctor was not the best. We noticed some impatience as if she had to leave. And sarcasm in answering our questions rather than appropriateness in making sure we have a good understanding. This could just be a one-off situation but it does influence our decision making. No big deal, we're confident this will be taken care of. Everything else was great. Thank you for everything.
efarha: The clinic is great , But there is a guy who sometimes answers the phone and is straight up disrespectful. I called to ask about my symptoms and I also asked him for the COVID hotline ... as I was naming my symptoms he said I didn’t need all that information and directed me straight to COVID hotline and I needed to speak to my doctor ! So rude !
Aleea Henderson: Dr. Fealy is amazing! She was wonderful with my daughter and I so wish I could see her again but we moved. The office was great, the staff was always nice to us and I felt like I had more than enough information when we went.
Jessica Mason: We’ve been going here for many years and have seen many of the dr’s at this center, all have been amazing.
E & A Trucking: I am not recommend this clinic is not respect time i had app i was still waiting in lobby 45 mins i asked why the doctor has 2 patient behind is not my business
Sarah Fisk: I have been seeing Dr. Phang for about 4 years now. I have found her to be friendly and supportive. She is very knowledgeable and competent. I had multiple miscarriages while seeing her and felt very supported by her and that she was invested in helping me figure out the causes. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful.
Ruixue Sun: I recommend anyone to go to the Physical Therapy (Pediatric Rehabilitation) here should be careful. The reason I came here is the doctor thought my newborn daughter had a problem at her neck muscle, so they asked us to visit the office for one treatment session, which included six classes. In the first class the doctor diagnosed that my daughter didn’t have muscle problems, and we could let her do some exercises at home, just in case she didn't turn her neck properly moving forward. But somehow, the doctor let us keep coming for another two times. In that following classes, the doctor didn’t give anymore useful therapy, only let my daughter play with the common toys (like Fisher-Price) for a while. I felt I could do that "therapy" myself to my daughter at home too.The class is said to last for 60 minutes. But a newborn baby couldn’t keep awake for so long. I also need to nurse the baby during the class. So the “therapy” at most lasted for 15 minutes, which actually was unnecessary at all.For such unnecessary "therapy", I was charge more than $300 each time. The total bill is more than $1000. The first class is ok. But the following classes are really unworthy. Luckily I cancelled the rest 3 classes! I hope this office wouldn't arrange such a long session treatment for patients who are totally healthy in the future.
Katherine Yang: I love all of the doctors and nurses here. I always feel welcome!
Cara wise: I have found their quality of care and quick accommodation for acute illnesses with my infant to be above and beyond. The staff is very knowledgeable and prompt in returning phone calls. I cannot thank them enough!
Faliesa Booker: I would not recommend this doctors office to any pregnant women or anyone else they are very careless unorganized and unprofessional i have had nothing but bad experiences since I've started going
Ashlee Inman: I do not recommend this clinic to pregnant women, to lactating mothers, or to pediatric patients. The location of the clinic was the only reason I took my daughter here after the terrible experiences I had here as a newly pregnant woman (I was given a list of outdated non-evidence based information on how to manage my pregnancy. Never went back after first prenatal appointment) and as a newly lactating mother (the lactation consultant here did not wash her hands before touching me or my 6 week old baby, she forcefully squeezed my breast without asking my permission first or telling me what she was doing, and at the end of the appointment she told me to bottle feed my baby despite us having good latch and technique. I felt so violated and unsupported that I left in tears.). After switching to another pediatrician's office I learned that this clinic over-vaccinated my child. DO NOT trust this clinic to be up to date on anything. That was my fault- I let my guard down. I thought a doctor's office would take care of us. Obviously that was a lapse in my judgement that I will blame myself for forever. In addition to these problems, which are just a few of the problems I encountered at this office, the staff is rude- especially the short, female med tech with glasses and short hair. Got stuck with her when I took my child in for a flu shot. She barely looked at me or the baby and asked no patient identifying information before she administered the shot. I had to ask her what she was giving my baby. Afterward, she left the room so quickly that I had to find her to ask if I could have the flu shot information flier that you usually after a vaccination. Bottom line: this clinic is not a good place to go if you want quality, compassionate care for you and your child.
Nicole Lajiness: I’ve been going here for years and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never felt like they are rushing me out, in fact it’s been just the opposite! I have 4 kids and myself that have doctors at this location and we would highly recommend them!
L &J: Great OB and pediatrics staff here. Nurses and support staff are also great.
장선미 Sunmi Chang: Like someone else said if you are looking for kind doctors that care for your child this is definitely not the right hospital. The doctors were very rude and condescending in their demeanor and were not open to take questions that they thought weren't important. I believe it is their duty to take any questions that we may have and take them seriously regardless of how stupid they may or may not sound to them.
Ahmed Jama: Great clinic
Sarah Killen: AWFUL. I am a mother of a 2 year old who just had my second child 2 days ago. I am bleeding due to constant breastfeeding and called Briarwood Center for Women to get my prescription for nipple cream that they gave me with my 2 year old refilled. I didn't need an appt - just a scrip for the same cream that helped ease the pain and suffering during breastfeeding. The doctor from 2 years ago, Dr. Fealy, flat out refused to make the 2 minute phone call to a pharmacy to help me. When I persisted and asked for another doctor (who had some compassion) to help, the Call screener, Kim, was super rude and completely unhelpful. It was like talking to a robot - no empathy or real attempt to help!! She just kept telling me I had to make an appt with another doctor to come in or call my primary care physician for the prescription. So basically, "pay for an unnecessary and expensive office visit or get lost because we won't help." Mind you, I had a c-section 3 days ago and I'm taking care of a newborn, but they won't help me feed my baby without severe pain that brings tears to my eyes every time he latches.Heartless people. Rude and uncaring. Do NOT go here if you are looking for a kind and helpful doctor and office staff.
Lauren Gallant: Never had an issue seeing my doctor for check ups and she is always able to answer my questions. Appts are flexible. Sometimes there is a student who helps out with the visit.
Karen Cant: My doctors have been great here. Always able to get same day sick appointments. Nurses quick to return phone calls and follow up as needed. Only complaint is I wish they had more comprehensive education offered to parents at well checks for developmental milestones and practical how to list of skills to work on with your kids at each step in their development in addition to safety and basic health education. I found my concerns were listened to and I am able to get the referrals I request.

ArborWoman: what do users think?
Lauren Harrisstep: This is such a great doctor’s office. They care so deeply for each patient. This is also a Catholic practice. Even if you’re not Catholic but are Christian you will live this place.
Rachelle Burrell: Dr Fleming is a fantastic OBGYN. He is extremely patient and thorough. I wish he would never need to retire. He was my OB throughout infertility, miscarriage loss of twins, and the birth of my son. His bedside manner is impeccable. I recommend him to anyone.
Clare W: Best OB and prenatal care I've ever received. I've seen the OB/GYN and CN Midwife on staff who both took time to actually listen and answer my questions! I moved to this practice from another, and glad I did!
Amanda Jones: Great experience every time I have been there. Don't believe the reviews that say that no medical professionals work there. They are a legitimate OBGYN office. Yes, it is Catholic, but it is not a scam or a front. They provide fantastic and compassionate care.
Jennifer Rice: Dr Fleming has fantastic bedside manner and cares very personally about each and every patient that walks in the door. He has provided excellent care since I met him in 2003 when he announced I was pregnant with my son. Later he diagnosed uterine fibroids with kindness and compassion he explained the options. I highly recommend him and his practice.
Kirsten Pingel: Dr. Fleming has been my OB/GYN for the past 17 years, delivering two of my babies and supporting me through a miscarriage and another pregnancy. I have always been given professional, caring support from him. I unhesitatingly recommend him, providing one is aware of this fact: ArborWoman is part of Emmaus Health, which follows Catholic practices, so will not be supporting their patients in the use of birth control or abortion.
Amy HZ: Do not come here. This is a FAKE "clinic" that coerces people into dangerous situations. No medical staff works here.
Seda G: This is a place that does not support women but rather coerces them and gilts them to continue their pregnancy. While I was not set on having an abortion, I did not need to be told religious dogma when I first found out about it, I needed support and understanding. One thing prolife people will never get: a woman who does not want to carry a child will ALWAYS find a way to end her pregnancy, especially an educated one. There’s no need to project your own opinions when you’re a physician, that’s not your job.
Thea Bea: This is a crisis pregnancy center masquerading as an OBGYN!
Detroit Bootblacks Provided by the Draper Family: I needed a infant car seat and items for my baby before baby was discharged from hospital. I called Arbor Woman on a Thursday and by Monday I was able to pick up the items. Thank you so much Elise and Anna for helping my baby! This a wonderful organization and I urge people to donate to them!
Kathy Dobrowolski: An open, honest, loving and compassionate place for women in crisis pregnancies!
Alisa Crayne: Loving, compassionate people only seeking to help. They kept in contact with me throughout my pregnancy and were very supportive. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of any type of help regarding their pregnancy.

Ellen Thompson Women's Health Center: what do users think?
Fran Naturale: Efficient and caring.
Courtney Blake: A mammogram is a very personal experience. I was nervous going into the women’s center today. I was greeted by a friendly person, which set a great tone for my experience. I informed the technicians of my history of trauma and they were very understanding. The technician checked to make sure I was OK throughout the procedure and allowed me to carry something special that makes me feel more at ease. I was seen at my exact appointment time, the process did not feel rushed, but I was out of there in no time. Whoever is supervising this clinic is doing an excellent job!
Rebecca Yager: Everyone was very and helpful. The appointment was on time and ran very smooth. The center is very clean and they make you feel very comfortable.
Lisa Ridha: I waited on hold for 20 minutes to schedule a breast exam. The scheduler came on and was very rude and uncaring about the time on hold and proceeded to put me on hold 2 more times without scheduling my exam. Very rude behavior. I wish I had her name. Is anyone else experiencing this type of service? Very unfortunate indeed.
Linda Claire Groshans: I visited this for a meeting held in one of their conference rooms. It looks like a beautiful facility.
M OI: Every other mammogram I’ve had at St Joe’s, until today, the ladies have been great, informative, and even with extra tests, follow ups, etc it’s been a positive experience. Today however, wasn’t so great. Every other occasion I’ve been given a pink gown, but today was given a blue gown. No explanation provided for the difference, but they are very specifically kept separate and laundered separately. The blue gown made me think something was wrong already- was I suddenly high risk? No idea. The blue gowns are scratchy and definitely NOT appropriate for a mammogram facility. Seriously. The pink gowns are designed to be work and open in front. The blue gown I was given did not remotely stay closed, was torn, in addition to being scratchy, which heightened my stress level- again, was something wrong- was I high risk, and now this awful gown? It doesn’t tie, stay closed, or offer any modesty. It’s mostly white with a blue print. I saw other women similar to myself in pink gowns, so again, why? Then I was called back and had the fastest mammogram ever. Usually the technician is very careful with placement, etc. and sensitive to modesty. Not this one. This one just wanted to be done. I felt like I was in a factory line and inconveniencing her. Took more than one minute with the iPad survey, which doesn’t take long, but she gave me I asked why the gown color difference and was told that they are “all that way.” She apparently has never tried one on. Never had an issue with the pink gowns in the past 15+ mammograms I’ve had, and none of the women wearing pink gowns seemed uncomfortable. I would think (hope) that a facility which performs thousands of mammograms yearly would make the minimal effort to keep those thousands of patients comfortable. Have gowns that ALL fit comfortably, are appropriate for mammography, and aren’t scratchy. Alleviate concerns about why the difference in colors. Post a sign. A ten cent piece of paper. And send in “secret patient advocates” to check the empathy and training of your technicians. If I was told I had breast cancer in that god awful scratchy gown, and an aloof technician, I definitely would look elsewhere for treatment. For what it’s worth, I go out of my way to post a review when I have a positive experience. I’ll call a restaurant manager to rave about a spectacular waitress. I figure that a company doesn’t know what’s going on unless their patients/clients/customers tell them.
Vivian Gunberg: If you choose to neglect a patients need who has two children and a family when there is a case that the situation is severe then you don't deserve the patients and clients you have. They are leaving their lives in your hand. Learn how to manage your establishment and patients better. Don't let a patient die on your watch.
Trish Thompson: Everyone there is so caring and sweet. Beautiful facility. They make you feel at home. Greatly appreciate the ladies that work there. Thank you.
Latanya Wraggs: The workers there really care and are very professional.
